- Everyone and their mother could tell you that the Addams family was odd, though as odd as they were, no one could deny that they were also; in their own special way, supportive and welcoming.
- Which is why when Wednesday came home from school and said “I made a …friend”, the family happily allowed her to invite the child over for a play date.
- And when Wednesday arrived home the next day with a; seemingly, perfectly normal child in tow, Gomez and Morticia were surprised yet …perfectly accepting.
- So while they certainly hadn’t expected it to happen anytime soon, the Addams family found themselves rather fond of a less than strange little girl.
- Though there’s one Addams that’s especially fond of the girl: Pugsley.
- Pugsley and his sister are usually fairly inseparable, so when the two of you met, he met you as well. And when you started hanging out with the girl, you found yourself hanging out with him too.
- To preface his crush on you: there has to be something “wrong” with you. If there wasn’t, Wednesday probably wouldn’t hang out with you and you wouldn’t hang out with her either.
- So whether it’s a secret love of the macabre, knowledge in dark or somewhat disturbing fields, or just an unyielding acceptance of or fondness for their strange quirks; there’s something about you that isn’t normal.
- And that’s what initially draws the boy towards you. He doesn’t necessarily like your normal-ness but he appreciates the hidden weirdness. …And he thinks you’re sorta pretty.
- He definitely tries to be around you as much as possible which isn’t particularly suspicious given the fact that you’re most likely; at least, somewhat friends.
- He lingers by the door of whatever room you and Wednesday are playing in until Wednesday stops pointedly glaring at him and allows him to be your victim.
- Speaking of Wednesday: she immediately knows what’s happening and is exasperated by his feelings for you. She oftentimes tells him that it’s gross and, once you leave, warns him to stop constantly snooping on the two of you; which surprises him since he didn’t think either of you knew. She also teases him about it because she finds his weakness amusing.
- Whenever he asks about you or the next time you’re coming over, she’ll narrow her eyes at him and spitefully say something like “wouldn’t you like to know”. He then follows her around and tries to convince her to tell him, usually agreeing to let her torture him in some way in return.
- Gomez and Morticia, on the other hand, find it wonderful. Their little Pugsley in love, what could possibly be better than that? Both of them give him little pieces of advice and fawn over each other after he runs off, talking about young love and heartbreak as they embrace.
- Him and his family lowkey hate color; particularly pastels, but he’ll lie and say that you look nice when you’re wearing them: and after a while of getting used to them, he finds himself thinking that you genuinely look nice in them; though he’d still prefer you in black.
- You do get a ton of compliments in general though. Like father, like son.
- Gifts. The Addams have a lot of money and while the gifts might be unusual or morbid; like a teddy bear that has a proclivity towards biting or a cursed dagger that’s more than a century old, you enjoy them nonetheless.
- Him and Wednesday are ready to throw down anytime someone badmouths you. It’s oftentimes almost like a competition for the two of them: who can scar them the most; the best friend or the infatuated one?
- Every time you defend him and the family from some bully, his heart races and he finds himself speechless; unable to think of anything to say out of shock and an overwhelming wave of appreciation.
- He acts the same when you drop a morbid fact into conversation or launch into an explanation of some sort of dark concept; though he does tend to give you an impressed look and a compliment after you finish.
- He tries to impress you with weird things: like strange creatures, torture devices or his ability to be electrocuted and remain perfectly fine afterwards.
- He loves whenever you grab onto him when Wednesday or the two of them show you something spooky or when you’re walking through a scary area. He always has this cute little smile on his face when you aren’t looking.
- You like to introduce him; and Wednesday, to your more normal interests; mainly him because he’s usually the more willing one. He never particularly likes them nor does he understand why you would but he stores away what you tell him for future use.
- Surprisingly enough, he might try to act or dress more normal in an attempt to win you over, and everyone in the family nearly faints when they see him in the morning before school. They definitely ask if he’s feeling alright, as though him wearing colors is a sign that he’s ill.
- He asks Wednesdays permission to ask you out because he knows his sister will maim him if he just goes and does it and she finds out after the fact. And while being maimed sounds fun, he’d rather take you out on a date first.
- Wednesday sighs and rolls her eyes but tells him to go ahead and he runs off to go and find you as she shakes her head at him.
