If your asian character is the shy, quiet, and cutesy round character with glasses That is not representation or diversity. If your black character is the large, sassy, angry black woman wagging her finger and shaking her head side to side That is NOT. representation or diversity. If your latina character is the sexy and curvy woman with no personality other than being 'hot' THAT IS NOT REPRESENTATION OR DIVERSITY. Representation and diversity, is featuring people that have never been represented in media (or at least not as often.) NOT. portraying the same old and tired offensive caricatures of a certain group and people and patting yourself on the back for being 'diverse' when there is no diversity in a stereotype. It's actually disgusting that when I search up tags for Latinas I get "thick and juicy," "curvy," "thick babe," and other disgusting words used to sexualize and dehumanize these women. Same with asian women, though those tags tend to be more 'innocent' as that is how they view them. Innocent, childlike, idiotic. The tagging on black women is different, mainly because well, we've been here awhile. We know to protect our spaces, though the perception and view of us have not changed much. I recognize that this is different for other groups of poc in the community which is what motivated me to make this post. I REFUSE to use those DISGUSTING and inhumane tags to represent ANY group of women. fuck you shits
