In that halfway space between waking and sleep it was hard to discern what was real and what wasn’t. Your bed felt warm, sheets still tangled around your arms and legs. The weight of your blanket on your chest could easily be confused with another’s body, and so you felt yourself smile. Warm, happy, safe-
Abby was behind you, her limbs expertly twisted around yours like she’d done it a thousand times before. . . and she had.
Slowly you opened your eyes, staring blankly ahead of you into your pitch black bathroom. You recognized the fresh scent of your shampoo, and felt the way your hair still clung to your hot cheeks- wet from your shower the night before. It was like you were suspended in a memory, everything all soft and fuzzy around you. The dots weren’t perfectly connecting, and still you were happy. For a second you just laid there, unable to look down at the hand you could feel so vividly at your waist. Would you see Abby’s knuckles when you looked down? Would you see the rubber promise ring she had insisted on wearing? Everything always had to be even and fair with her.
This morning felt familiar. Like you’d lived it before. Your breath left you in a rush when the bed creaked behind you.
“Abby,” God, she was back. She was back and she was right behind you. “Baby?”
There was a soft groan and then the arm tightened, bringing you into a warm chest. Her bicep squeezed your arm tightly against her shoulder, and all at once you were tucked in so tight. Confusion tugged at your features, and you mulled over exactly why you were clinging to her arm so tightly.
“What’s wrong?” She whispered against your hair, her voice still thick with sleep. Still, her fingers stroked at your bare stomach.
“I had a nightmare,” You mumbled, trying to recall exactly what had plagued you just seconds ago. You can’t remember now that you’re safe here. . . safe with Abby again. “You were gone and I was all alone.”
Those moments came back to you in flashes. The ache, the constant pain of losing her, the “learning to live without her” that crushed you entirely. You turned around in her grasp, nuzzling your nose into the crook of her neck. You took deep inhales, trying to still your rising panic. You could feel the steady beating of her heart against your cheek, the warmth of her bare breasts against your collar bones.
“I was gone?” She raised a hand, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, a few golden strands falling onto her forehead as she moved her head against the pillow beneath her. “You can tell me about it if you want.” She offered supportively, petting your back in slow circles.
You don’t know why. . . but you missed those circles. It felt like you’d been without them for weeks. Months.
“I-I got a phone call. . . and they told me that you’d died,” Your bottom lip quivered, your eyes filling with tears. You couldn’t help but laugh pathetically at your unnecessary hysterics. Abby was right here. Everything was okay. “It felt like the longest nightmare I’ve ever had. It was horrible.”
“You did so good though.” She whispered, her hands still stroking.
Your muscles tensed, and slowly you moved your hand up her side, fingers brushing against her skin. You pressed a soft kiss against the underside of her breast, a tear breaking free past your lower lashes. This moment suddenly felt fleeting.
“I did?” You questioned, pulling away to look at her.
She was so beautiful. Like an angel had fallen from heaven and landed right in your bed. The sun was just beginning to rise, setting the line of trees just outside of your window ablaze. She was diaphanous and golden laying there beneath you. You were so lucky. You could barely breathe when she looked up at you like that, her eyes so thick with pride and love.
“You did, baby girl. You stayed so strong.” She cracked a small smile, but it looked pained. Like she was also realizing that the two of you couldn’t exist here forever. “I need you to keep it up though, alright?” You couldn’t feel her hand on your back anymore, nor the softness of the sheets.
“Please,” You sobbed out, reaching out to cup her cheek. She didn’t feel like anything. Like your hand was molded around a pocket of open space. Nothingness. She was about the size of the palm of your hand now, her urn sitting on the mantle in your living room. “Please don’t leave me again.”
Her blue eyes stared up at you, proud and unwavering in their convictions, as they always were. . . always had been. “I’m never far. Pinky.” Promise.
And then you were in your bed again, the alarm on your phone blaring.
“Abby?” You mumbled, and you didn’t have to turn over to realize you were alone.
Ellie was good at putting pressure on herself. It had always been a form of motivation, as cruel as it seemed. She couldn’t let today be awful. No episodes or meltdowns and no long bouts of silence. You were pretty and it really seemed like you could use a friend.
Ellie could use a friend too.
She couldn’t remember the last time she’d shown interest in a girl. She’d always been career driven with a one track mind. She was good at overworking herself and running herself dry. She hoped that you’d be able to use that to your benefit today. Ellie wanted to lose herself in something. . . in someone. She wanted to be useful for the first time in what felt like a long, long while.
So she woke up at the butt crack of dawn and took a shower. She kept her eyes shut tight as she washed herself and didn’t even bother to towel dry her hair before she was pulling on an outfit. Thick droplets of water stained the shoulders of her jean button up as she tied up the laces on her boots. She focused on one shoe at a time, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of you. Every once and a while her brain would wander, hellbent on self destruction, but with a small groan she’d remember the sadness in your eyes.
She’d remember who she was before the accident.
She moved down the stairs as quietly as she could, praying that Joel’s dog wouldn’t start barking once he realized that his new best friend was leaving the house. The keys to her old car were on the rack beside the front door, right next to Joel’s flashy new pair. He’d told Ellie over dinner that he’d been maintaining the beat up old Jeep the best that he could, meaning she at least had a little bit of freedom while she was back home.
She locked the door behind her, the cool morning breeze stinging against her wet ears as she gracelessly stumbled down the stairs, juggling the bulky set of keys in her hand. A huge metal spaceship that Joel had stuffed into her Christmas stocking senior year, a neon green carabiner she’d bought at one of the gas stations closest to her school, and a few other childish charms that she couldn’t place any meaning behind swung from the nearly ancient keychain. Her sense of self expression and style back in those days was tacky to say the least, but she appreciated child-Ellie nonetheless.
“You poor child.” She teased under her breath, climbing into the driver's seat and shoving the key into the ignition. She sucked in a breath and held it before cranking it up.
To her surprise, the clunker started right up, though the engine shook the steering wheel a little when she put the thing in reverse down the driveway. She hadn’t driven a car since that night at the gas station. It felt a little weird to be behind the wheel, but even stranger to be back here. Jackson was a beautiful place. . . but it didn’t feel the same way that it had before. She wasn’t sure if it was because of her age or the changes that were happening inside of her. The streets still looked the same, aside from some very minor changes to neighbor's houses. She barely paid any attention to her surroundings when Joel had driven her through town yesterday, and she was a bit scared to see the differences. She didn’t want to dwell on those thoughts or do any soul searching, so she reached out for the radio, pressing play on whatever CD had been shoved into it last.
Depeche mode began to blast over the speakers, and she let out a small sigh of relief. At least her music taste wasn’t horrible in high school.
But it was no wonder she didn’t have a girlfriend. Ellie wouldn’t have dated little Ellie either, that was for sure.
She felt a bit crazy to be driving in the opposite direction of town. Back when she lived here, town was the only place she was headed when she was allowed out of the house. It was no wonder why the two of you had never really crossed paths. She used to complain about how far off in the “middle of nowhere” Joel lived, but your farm had his ranch beat by fifteen minutes. The houses got fewer and farther in between, and despite how much Ellie truly did enjoy the city, she couldn’t deny how beautiful the countryside was. The sprawling fields, grazing animals, and splattering of wild flowers had her rolling down the windows of her car, ignoring the chill so that she could get a better look of her surroundings.
Even the air quality was better in Jackson.
She’d been down this road a few times in her life, having been in the backseat of Joel’s car every single time. She recognized your home from her memories, but your last name didn’t mean much to her back then. She slowed her car down to a crawl, staring at the large sign that sported your family name proudly.
Ellie would be proud of the farm too if it were hers. She bumped down the drive five minutes earlier than you had told her to show up, staring with wide eyes at your house. It was two stories with a balcony- white with green shutters. The wrap around porch was screened in, protecting you and any guests you might have over from bugs that thrive in the summertime heat.
Your stretch of land belonged on a painting, and for a second she worried if maybe she wasn’t the right friend for you. This house was too nice and Ellie. . . Ellie wasn’t very nice at all. She'd only talked to you for five minutes yesterday, but she got the feeling that you were a "good girl". You were wholesome, which wasn't how anyone in Ellie's life would choose to describe her. She slowly made her way up your front steps, and for a second she wondered if she should leave. It would probably be better if she did. Ellie could always just lie and tell Joel that she couldn’t find your house. . . he’d probably drop it after insulting her about her bad sense of direction.
Ellie couldn’t afford to get a crush on anyone right now either. It was horrible timing, and what would be worse is if you actually ever returned those feelings. How was she supposed to explain to you that she wouldn’t ever make a good partner? She couldn’t protect you from anything, not when any loud sounds or bright lights had her falling to her knees. She was careerless, depressed to the point where she had completely lost who she was, had a drinking problem, and was quite certain that she’d combust the second you’d touch her. She was touch and attention starved, but hadn’t remembered that she was even able to desire someone until she’d seen you yesterday-
You’d be dodging a bullet if she hightailed it right off of your property. So she turned on her heel and stared at her boots as she began walking back down your stairs. Her feet kicked up dirt as she made her way back to her jeep, hand already reaching into her pocket for her keys-
“Did I not hear you knocking on the door?” A feminine voice called out to her.
She sucked in a breath so hard that she let out a loud cough, eyes widening as she turned around to face the porch. You were wearing a pair of dirt stained jeans today, though your hair was fastened back with a white bow. Ellie, despite her previous need to protect you from herself, couldn’t fight off the urge to get closer. There was something different about you today. You were a bit manic, your hands already busying themselves with straightening out a few of the potted plants on your porch. You seemed a bit anxious, but you didn’t comment on it so neither did Ellie. Any boundaries you had yesterday with her were gone. You flashed her a wide smile, sauntering up the drive so that you could wrap her up in a tight hug.
Your arms were shaking as they weaved around her neck, pulling her in close. She froze, limbs locking up in surprise as she tried to fully grasp what was going on. You were treating her like an old friend, someone you were excited to see. Ellie didn’t know why you’d be so happy to see her. . . but then again, she was happy to see you. She remembered what Joel had said last night.
Maybe you were sick and tired of being alone.
Your bare arms were cold too- freezing as her fingers accidentally brushed the backs of them. Ellie realized that she had gotten here just in time. If anything, she cursed herself for not showing up twenty minutes earlier, if only to save you from whatever had you this shaken up.
“I probably knocked too quietly. Should have knocked louder, huh?” She mumbled, biting the inside of her cheek as she gave you a gentle squeeze.
She wasn’t used to holding someone like this that wasn’t Dina or Jesse. You felt nice in her arms. Your muscles weren’t hard or rigid like hers, you were all soft and rounded edges. Gentle curves and arms ready and willing to embrace her. Flushed cheeks and silk bows. You smelled wonderful too- sweet and floral, like Jasmine mixed with honey. She didn’t want to let you go, and you didn’t seem ready to end the hug either.
You were still quivering.
“Yeah, you should have.” You agreed, giving Ellie one last squeeze before taking a few unsteady steps back.
You hadn’t been completely sure whether or not she would show up today. Waking up this early was a lot to ask of anyone, let alone someone you had just met yesterday. Still, a part of you had hoped that she would be here. On days that were this bad you found it impossible to work, no matter how busy it kept you. You often spent “mental health days” laid out by Abby’s grave or buried six feet under pillows and blankets in what used to be your shared bed.
Ellie’s presence changed things.
So you squared off your shoulders and cracked her a wide smile, praying that it looked genuine and not forced.
“Let’s hop in my truck and I’ll take you on a little tour of the property before we get started.” You tucked your bottom lip between your teeth as you watched the woman take a few steps closer to you.
Ellie looked like she wanted to say something but was holding herself back. You weren’t sure whether or not you would be able to handle her prying or the pity that would follow.
Your fingers twitched at your sides, wishing so deeply that you hadn’t woken up at all this morning. Ellie was beautiful- gorgeous even. You would have been head over heels if you had met her years ago, before. . . well, before Abby happened. Still, her beauty wasn't enough to completely distract you from your grief. A part of you felt guilty for even finding her attractive as you slid into the front seat of the truck.
Maybe that was why you’d had such a strange dream last night. Or maybe. . . maybe it wasn’t a dream at all. Maybe it really was Abby trying to tell you that it was okay to move on. That was confusing to even think about, and it made you count the months since her death on both of your hands, trying to gauge if enough time really had passed. You didn’t want to be alone anymore, but the thought of being in love with anyone seemed like an impossibility. Everything was broken. How could you ever love anyone the same way that you loved Abby? You’d just be doing that other person a disservice.
That’s right, you were cursed.
You could feel Ellie’s gaze on the side of your face as you made your way down the dirt road, up towards the hen houses. You blinked a few times, the apples of your cheeks heating up in embarrassment. Slowly you met her gaze, lips twitching up in a small smile as she quickly looked away from you, nervous over having been caught.
“My dad built ten large coops, so this whole fenced-in area right here is where the chickens graze.” You stopped the car and put it in park, keeping the old thing running like you usually did during your quick morning chores. Sometimes the poor truck had a hard time starting back up, and you’d probably burst into tears if your newfound friend had to walk a half mile back to the house with you.
“Do you guys have any problems with foxes?” She asked, keeping up with your fast pace as you unlatched the front of the fence for the both of you.
Your nose wrinkled in disgust, and you were quick to throw your arms up exasperatedly.
“Oh god, do we! I had to get someone out here to change out the fence just six months ago because one of those little fuckers had somehow managed to dig it’s way into their area. Killed seven of my poor girls.” You remembered how angry you were when you’d pulled up to the coops that morning. Burying seven dead hens wasn’t a pleasant experience for you, but it wasn’t something that was new. Still, you hated knowing that they’d suffered in their final moments.
“Jesus, I’m sorry.” Ellie looked around the area, finding it impossible not to notice how well kept everything was. The coops were freshly painted, the grass was gorgeous and plush- bright green under her feet. Truly, your farm was an oasis. She’d never seen anything quite like it before, and you'd barely even started the tour.
“Can I hold one?” She asked meekly, smiling up at you shyly as you turned to look at her. You didn’t exactly take her as the type of girl that would want to hold a chicken, but you were happy to oblige her.
“One of my mamas just hatched a few chicks. Would you want to hold-”
“Yes.” She quickly added, jogging off in the direction that you were pointing, eager to hold anything tiny and fluffy that you had to offer.
You were shocked at the laugh that bubbled its way out of your chest. A genuine, good natured laugh that you found hard to contain as she began impatiently tapping her foot as she waited for you to catch up.
“Didn’t take you for a chicken lover, city girl.” You teased, unlatching the door for her so that she could make her way inside.
The hens squawked excitedly at your appearance, realizing they’d be able to eat their fill of grass, bugs, and dried corn. A few ran over, crowding at your ankles. Rows and rows of nests were lined up along the walls. In the back of the coop were a few small rectangular doors that you could open, which was what you used to harvest eggs. Your dad’s old coops didn’t have anything fancy like that, so you grew up having your hands pecked at. You used to run back home to your mother with blood bruises and angry, raised skin.
“I love chicks.” Ellie said simply and the double meaning wasn’t lost on you.
As if on cue one of the chickens began pecking at the woman’s ankles, earning a small hiss of surprise from her. You snorted, biting your lip so that you wouldn’t laugh at her expense. “I can’t say the feeling is mutual, apparently.” You added playfully, looking around for the yellow poof balls.
“Old news.” She was smiling at you, and something in your chest began doing awful, uncomfortable flips. For a second you even felt a bit nauseous.
Ellie wasn’t Abby, but there was something similar about the two of them. The short haired girl seemed capable and strong. There was a physical sort of confidence in the way that she walked that told you that she knew how to handle herself. You watched as she shoved her hands in her pockets, shoulders squared off, feet shoulder length apart- and it had your lips parting.
Still, you remembered Joel talking about his daughter. . . saying that she was military. You couldn’t remember which branch she belonged to, but you could tell that she was well trained. You tried to imagine what Ellie would look like if she was put in a situation where she needed to protect herself, and you found a shiver running up your spine.
There was a coldness that had been in her eyes when the two of you had first met that had chilled you to the bone. You saw none of it when you looked into her eyes now, but. . . still. . . the thought terrified you. Had those capable hands ever killed anyone before?
You felt horrible even thinking that, even going as far as to give your thigh a small slap in punishment as you bent down, knees digging into the wood shavings and hay. The chicks didn’t seem off put by your small scowl. They saw you and instantly thought “food”, which had them clumsily running in your direction. You hadn’t heard her walk up beside you, only felt the sleeve of her long sleeve shirt brush against your arm as she sat back on her haunches beside you.
“It won’t scare them if I pick them up, will it?” She asked gently, slowly reaching a hand out so that she could brush it against their plush down feathers. They chirped contentedly, unaware of what “danger” even meant yet. You were guilty of babying your chickens, meaning none of them were scared of humans. They pecked at you when they were annoyed, but were never violent per say.
“Not at all. They might seem a bit unhappy, but it’s only because they’re hungry.”
You pressed your hand to your cheek as you watched the woman pick one of the chicks up, holding the tiny thing tightly against her chest so as to not drop it. There was something almost comical about seeing the woman look this gentle, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration as she tried not to hurt the tiny thing. It was adorable. Which was terrifying for you.
You were once again reminded of your dream. . . and you didn’t think you were ready to let Abby go. Not even when Ellie looked up at you excitedly, using her free hand to gesture towards the small creature in disbelief. Almost like she was scared that even talking would frighten it.
“So what do we do now?” Ellie asked, putting the chick down so that she could stand back up. You followed her lead, making your way back over towards the door.
“We open up all the doors and let them walk around for the day. I usually come back and get them back in their coops by sundown.” You let her know, leaving the door wide open as you moved coop to coop.
Ellie helped you, cutting down the time in half. The two of you were back in the truck in record time. You showed her the fields where you planted corn in the late summer to get ready for early fall. You pointed out the small flower garden you had taken upon yourself to cultivate, and then you pulled up to the green houses. Her jaw went slack as she took in all of the buildings.
“You do all of this yourself?” She needed to make sure she wasn’t imagining things. Sure, she was no farmer, but even someone like her knew just how much work this must be for you.
She couldn’t imagine you doing this all day, every day all by yourself. It kinda made her chest ache a bit for you. So when you nodded she took it upon herself to climb out of the truck, eager to do something to lighten the burden for you.
As the two of you approached what appeared to be the oldest of the greenhouses, she couldn’t help but realize that she’d been with you for about an hour. . . and she felt great. Better than great, she felt normal. She had been sent out here so that she could recover, and while she didn’t quite understand what that really and truly meant, being here with you felt right. Being around the animals felt therapeutic, and while Joel might have told you a little bit about her in passing, you didn’t know enough about Ellie to pass any sort of judgment or feel any sort of pity.
Even so, Ellie wasn’t sure she’d be against telling you about what happened. Something told her that you would be understanding. You knew what it felt like to lose people, and she was sure that you had regrets somewhere along the line. Everyone does when it comes to losing loved ones.
She hated that you had suffered enough to understand where she was coming from, but loved that she wasn’t alone for once.
The two of you walked in silence, and there was a heaviness in your eyes that let her know that you were thinking about something serious and sad. Ellie wondered whether your father was on your mind this morning. . . or perhaps your girlfriend. It wasn’t her place to ask, but that didn’t mean she didn’t want to.
“Want to help me water them?” You finally asked, motioning towards the tables of plants.
She nodded, but quickly turned to face you. She couldn’t count how many green houses you had on top of this one.
“Do we water all of those plants too?” She felt stupid the second that she asked the question, but even more so when you began to giggle.
Sounding stupid was worth it to hear the sound, so she sucked it up.
“Those green houses are newer and have a built in sprinkler system. We just have to worry about this one, thankfully. We’d be here all afternoon if not.” You began to head in the direction of the hose so that you could turn it on, your stomach tightening with hunger.
You knew the second you got back to the house and made breakfast that you’d be nauseous though. Bad days like this were always the same. You were hungry but you couldn’t eat. You wanted to distract yourself but nothing would work. You wanted to talk to someone but didn’t have any friends that you trusted enough to actually. . . onload on, and you were sick of your mom crying on your behalf.
“So you’re staying with Joel now? For how long?” You decided to make small talk as you handed her the hose, walking along with her as she painstakingly paid attention to every sprout.
She licked her lips before answering you, eyes flickering in a way that made you think that she might feel a bit nervous.
“I was. . . sent here. It’s not like I don’t love being home, because I kinda do. It’s just not something that I exactly chose for myself.” That didn’t feel like the whole truth, but you supposed that she would tell you whenever she was ready.
You played with the raw hem of your old t-shirt, suddenly anxious that you might have put her in a bad spot. Still, you found yourself wanting to know more about her.
“Do you have an addiction problem?” You realized how inappropriate it was to be so blunt. Your mouth went bone dry with panic, and you were quick to grab her hand, shaking your head. “A-All I’m trying to say is that my uncle had a really bad drug problem for years. He’s been clean and sober since last Christmas and is doing great. I don’t judge, that’s all. I’m proud of you, if anything.”
She gulped, looking down at your hand and noticing how close your body was to hers now. She fumbled to turn the hose off with one hand, trying to get her breathing under control. It was twice now that you were touching her like this, and she hated herself for wanting to wrap you back up in a hug so bad. She was also trying not to notice how plush and kissable your lips were.
You smelled great too, which made it hard for Ellie to think.
“Yeah, I guess I have a bit of an addiction problem,” She mumbled, but shrugged her shoulders soon after, contradicting herself. “But that’s not really why I’m here.”
Ellie would have to tell you eventually, she supposed. If the two of you were going to be as good of friends as Joel wanted, then she’d have to fess up eventually. It was better to get it out and in the open now rather than later. Plus. . . if she had some sort of a breakdown then maybe you’d be more understanding if you knew why it was happening.
“My therapist tells me that I suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I was in the Marines and I had a really bad accident. So. . . it was hard for me to live alone.” Ellie stared down at a long-dead leaf on the ground and bent down to pick it up, gently playing with it’s crinkled edges.
“Did you have panic attacks? I have those sometimes too.” You wanted her to know that she wasn’t alone, as stupid as it might sound.
You wanted to relate to her without telling her that your girlfriend had also been a Marine. She was being vulnerable with you, and the last thing you wanted to do was make this moment about you by bringing up your deceased girlfriend.
“Yeah. . . Yeah, I have those a lot. Sometimes I lose track of time- disassociate. It’s scary for others to deal with, so my friends thought that it would be best if I were with Joel. There’s less triggers here than back in Chicago.” You could tell that she was still uncomfortable with the subject matter, but she was powering through.
Ellie appreciated that there wasn’t a hint of judgment in your tone. You genuinely seemed curious. . . and talking about herself like this felt good. Validating, even.
“What triggers you? I just want to make sure that I don’t overstep or accidentally do anything wrong-”
“No, no. You’re fine. It’s more so loud noises and bright lights.”
“So no gunshots?”
“Guns aren’t too bad. . . it’s more so car crashes. Explosions, you know?”
Your mouth went dry. You did know. It’s how Abby died, afterall. You hated that Ellie had gone through something similar. Your heart ached for her.
“Is that how you got this. . . ?” You began to brush your fingers against the scar over her eye. You froze as she flinched, guilt bottoming out your stomach as you quickly yanked your hand away.
She reached out to take your elbow into her calloused hand before you could drop your palm back down at your side, and pressed your fingers against the skin herself. Her skin was still soft, but raised and jagged. You’d never felt a scar this deep before. Still, it was warm under your touch. Alive.
The moment felt oddly intimate, and you kept your fingers there for a few seconds too long before dropping your hand back at your side. Ellie felt like she was going to explode. No one had ever wanted to touch her scar, let alone been allowed to.
“Yeah, It is.” She cleared her throat, grabbing one of her arms in her hands nervously. She was starting to realize that she didn’t mind being seen by you. “I’m legally blind in the eye now, which has been pretty hard to get used to.”
“So you can’t see at all out of it?” You questioned, beginning to walk back over towards the repotting station. You’d noticed a few sprouts that were getting a little too big for their pots, and the last thing you wanted was crowded roots.
She followed after you like a lost puppy, hot on your trail. “I can see shapes and colors. Movement, and everything. But if you held up your hand and asked me “how many fingers am I holding up”, I wouldn’t be able to tell you.” She’d practically had to relearn how to do everything again, as dramatic as that sounded. Losing the vision of one eye affected a lot more than one might think.
“Oh, shit.” You remarked, nose wrinkling up in sympathy. You couldn’t imagine how hard that must have been on top of dealing with the mental anguish of the accident.
“ ‘Oh, shit’ is right.” She agreed with a small smile, leaning her hip against the table as you began laying out the necessary supplies. She watched your hands as they moved expertly around the table, eyes locked on your fingers. “I used to be beautiful.” She joked absentmindedly, alluding to the scar that now marred her features.
“You’re still beautiful.” You said, fully concentrated on the task at hand.
You didn’t realize the weight that your words carried, nor Ellie’s reaction to them. She felt like a giddy teenager. She couldn’t stop herself from fidgeting with the buttons on her shirt. She was smitten.
You were the first person to treat her like an actual human being since the incident. This was the most alive she’d felt in almost a year. . . and she was talking about things. Not like she might talk to her therapist, it was different than that. She was talking to someone that wanted to get to know her, not just to diagnose her, but to understand her. It felt good. Really good. Sickeningly good.
And you thought she was beautiful.
“Do you want to help me repot these little guys?” You asked, motioning towards the tiny pots.
She was scared of killing your seedlings but nodded anyway, desperate for your approval. Ellie watched as you demonstrated the entire thing for her, praying to god she wouldn’t forget a step.
The two of you stood shoulder to shoulder, shaking out roots and gently tucking the plants into their new homes. It was calming- melodic, almost. The constant motion, the gentle noises of the wilderness all around you. Ellie could even feel herself getting good at it. Not as good as you, of course. . . but she wasn’t as bad as she thought she would be.
You watched as she rolled her sleeves up and over her forearms, taking a second to appreciate her hands. Once again, you felt guilty for being so attracted to her. Strands of auburn hair had fallen out from behind her ear and hung in her pale face as she focused on her task. Her strong hands worked methodically. Her veins, her knuckles, her forearms and biceps- Ellie wasn’t just beautiful but gorgeous.
‘Give me a sign, Abby. If I’m not reading too far into last night's dream. . . then just give me some sort of a sign.’ You thought to yourself, eyebrows furrowing as you packed more dirt around the seedling in your hand. You felt like you were being horrifically dramatic, but what else could you do?
You felt idiotic. Delusional, even.
Beside you Ellie continued to work, completely unaware of your building turmoil. Pot after pot, she was really getting the hang of it. Pack down a layer of dirt, shake out roots, pack dirt on top- repeat.
She reached out for another one of the black plastic pots, sliding it over in front of her. She was so lost in her own thoughts that she almost didn’t hear the rattling. She’d been so close to covering up whatever was at the bottom with dirt, but the sunlight caught whatever it was just right.
It sparkled.
Ellie pinched the object between two dirt coated fingers, her eyebrows practically raising up to her hairline as she realized that it was a ring. A valuable looking one, at that.
“Uh. . . is this yours?” Ellie asked, showing it to you.
You blinked a few times at the ring, scared for a moment that you were hallucinating, because things like this only happened in movies. People asking for signs from the other side only for a ghostly apparition to pop up on screen.
Still, that was your promise ring in Ellie’s hand.
Your bottom lip quivered, eyes filling up with tears before you could even stop them. You reached out with gentle fingers, taking it into your hand graciously.
“Thank you.”
And you weren’t sure if you were talking to Ellie. . . or Abby.

A/N: okay so the obsession part hasn’t rlly been shown that much but this is only part 1. Sorry if it’s a little basic I find it so hard to write Ellie for some reason. (Ironic since she’s a main character in both games)
Warnings: I forget what smut there is but probably a lot of it. Minors DNI
I'll post more tmrw, I was a bit sick this weekend. Please leave requests for what to write next, I won't bite I promise.
Ellie Williams was the type of unpredictable woman that would laugh at your dumb jokes, help you with the animals, play guitar for you while you sing, show you her silly little comics and collectibles…or avoid you; not even glancing your way, not uttering a word to you, just listening while she anxiously shuffles in her place on the ground. Not only this, but she was also the type of person to obliterate her enemies, whether full fleshed, human person or infected. She’d never mention it either. Probably worried that if she talked about that certain gleam in her eye or the streak of relief she got on her face when her knife found itself in her enemies neck, you’d think of her less. That would be a ridiculous notion.
It fucking bothered you when she’d get the way she was now. Not the same Ellie who made irritated remarks you found so adorable. Not the same Ellie you could talk to about anything without feeling judged. She was different today, she had been recently. You’d catch her staring at you during movie nights and other events, and when you’d go to talk to her she’d fuck off some place, as if to drive you to insanity.
The thing that made you want to scream more than anything about this whole situation though, was the fact that you had been partnered with Ellie, you had heard it confirmed multiple times, but after you were already dressed and packed, making your way to the horses, you heard Jesse tell someone he had been paired with Ellie last minute. You felt your blood boil. She couldn’t keep avoiding you forever, if you did something to upset her, she would have to say it to your face.
——————————————————————
When Ellie finally got her sleepy ass to the stables, her eyes widened when she saw you patting your horse beside her own. She cleared her throat.
“What, um…are you doing here?” She questions. You sigh.
“I’m great thank you for asking.” You respond sarcastically. Ellie brings her hand to the back of her neck nervously, clearly not going to be the one to extend the conversation any further.
“I just thought Jesse was partnered with me today.”
“Why would you think that?” You shoot back immediately. She lets out a hesitant breath.
“Nevermind.” Ellie decides to respond, mounting shimmer. You mount your own horse and follow her out.
“So where are we headed?” You ask, and the question looks like it broke Ellie out of a trance.
“Oh…” She replies simply. “The houses up North have like a migrating herd…should be worth taking a look.” She explains. You nod.
“Hey Ellie…” You say, in an attempt to lighten the mood. “Did…you hear about the Italian chef who died?” She slows her pace a bit so she can hear you better.
“One of our guys? I didn’t know we had anyone from Italy…”
“He pasta-way.” You say, trying to hide your laugh.
“What?” She asks. You roll your eyes. “You know…cause pastas from Italy?”
“When was the last time you had fucking pasta?”
“It was just a joke El- never mind.” You mutter. She turns her head to look back at you and when she see’s your saddened look, she can’t help but feel guilty.
Ellie opens her mouth to say something, but nothing comes out, so you ride in silence until you get to the houses. You hitch the horses and get out your weapons rather quickly as this had become routine and head into the closest house.
“Might be worth getting some supplies before we clear the rest out. There might still be something valuable.”
“No one’s lived here for years.” Ellie says bluntly. “Anything good would be pretty picked over by now.” You return your gaze to the floor.
“We could still look…” You mutter to yourself.
You open a door an an infected jumps out. You quickly get it in the eye with your knife and it makes a loud thud in result. Ellie runs in beside you.
“You okay??” She demands. You laugh lightly.
“Yeah. Unfortunately for you I live to torment another day.” She doesn’t say anything, just continues looking at you with worry.
“I’m fine El.” You reassure, and she finally eases up. You walk out of the house and keep walking down the abandoned street. You can’t help but admire the design. You would have loved to live in a nice, secluded house in an area like this. Ellie seemed less impressed.
“Ellie what’s wrong?” You finally ask her. She sighs.
“Nothing.”
“Enough with this already! You’ve been avoiding me all week and I know you tried to switch me with Jesse. If you don’t like me anymore just say that, don’t just treat me like I’m nothing and then pretend like you’re not doing that because it’s driving me crazy!” You exclaim. Ellie hesitates, fiddling with her fingertips.
“I’m not avoiding y-“
“Oh cut the bullshit Ellie! What did I do to make you dislike me so?”
“I do like you.”
“Bullshit.”
“I do…like you.” She explains, more slowly this time, finally looking into your eyes directly. Your gaze softens as you realise what she meant.
“Oh.”
“But you had that thing with Alex and I didn’t want to fuck up the friendship but then I didn’t know how to talk to you. I don’t. Know how to talk to you I mean.” You laugh at her words, your mouth still wide with surprise.
“Wait…Alex? He’s gay.”
“What? You don’t know that.”
“Everyone knows that…He literally told me the other day he that if Joel wasn’t ‘ancient’ he would, quote unquote, hit that.” You explain. Ellie shields her face in embarrassment.
“Gross.” She replies, blushing. You remain in comfortable silence for a while before she adds, “I threatened to cut his…” She groans at the memory. “I believe the words I used were ‘tiny dick’ off if he didn’t stop talking to you.”
“Uh…” Is all you manage while laughing.
Once your combined laughter dies down, like an uncontrollable impulse, Ellie grabs your face and pulls you into the deepest kiss of you life. You moan into it a little, and are embarrassed when you do so. You’ve wanted this for about a year now, Ellie wasn’t the only one who didn’t know how to act around the other. Ellie pulls away, smirking. Her usual confidence returning.
“Shall we get inside.”
“Of that place?? What about the infected?” You ask. She laughs.
“Oh yeah, I forgot. Okay let’s make sure it’s secure first.” She instructs. You laugh back.
“So responsible.” You tease.
——————————————————————
The two of you had been checking each room in anticipation. To be honest, you had expected something to happen. For an infected to jump you, for Ellie to say she was just pranking you all along, for there to be some hidden trap mine that you set off like the clumsy mother fucker you were, but there was nothing. Nothing but some couches, benches, and a bedroom.
“I’m gonna check the bedroom for supplies.”
“I said there’s not gonna-“
“Well I’m still going to check!” You reply defensively, causing you both to laugh.
When you get in there, you feel a layer of goosebumps kiss your skin when Ellie’s soft, deep voice is in your ear.
“So…did you find anything?” She questions, wrapping her hands over your lower waist. This was bold for her. Bolder than you had ever known she was capable of. It was like your reaction to her confession, the way you hadn’t shunned her or laughed or found her strange, it was as if this had awoken a new realm of confidence within her which you found most welcome. You let out a sharp breath.
“…No.” You admit. She chuckles. Fuck. And it’s the most seductive sound you’ve ever heard, more than your own fucking moans when you would touch yourself thinking about her.
“I told you.” She teased, kissing your neck. You shut your eyes, allowing yourself to succumb to the sensation of her lips on your neck, pressing down hard enough to leave marks that would remain the next day. You let out a little whimper when her hand snakes down between your legs, but you grab her hand to stop it.
“No, want to touch you.” You exclaim, and she looks at you wide eyed, but agrees, unzipping her skinny blue jeans.
“Get on the bed. Want to eat you out.” You say, feeling hazy with lust. She chuckles again at your enthusiasm and it makes you pool with excitement. You push her down playfully, admiring her thighs and nibbling at the inner parts of them. When she lets out a sharp exhale at the feeling, you lick and kiss over it comfortingly.
Then you get to her grey underwear. You look up at her and she nods back comfortingly. The excitement is exhilarating as the anticipation of her taste ferments on your tongue. You’re not sure you’ve ever craved one thing so bad in your life.
Deciding tasting her bare skin was too much too quickly, you decide to tongue her through the fabric, resulting in a chorus of strained moans and heavy breathing. You go a little faster and Ellie’s eyes roll back, but it’s not enough, you have to have more.
Almost angrily, you tear her underwear off, licking a long trail across her glistening pussy. She lets out a harsh gasp and you smile into her cunt, flicking your tongue over where she was most sensitive this time. The taste of her is so phenomenal that you can’t help moan into her, moving your head around in the same rhythm as your tongue, causing Ellie to see fucking stars in a result.
“Fuck babe, I like that…” She says, taking a handful of your hair and pushing your head down lightly into her cunt. The nickname surprises you, throwing you off slightly before you return to your constant and eager pace.
Ellie had lost count of the amount of times she had fantasised about this. About even just kissing your soft, pretty lips or dragging her fingers between your cunt. Every time she had a thought like this though, she would feel so guilty she would avoid you for sometimes as long as multiple days. Now Ellie had proof that it wasn’t just her. That she wasn’t fucking crazy. The feeling of you tonguing her clit and moaning in between her fucking folds told her that she had a chance, a real chance to please you and to have you in all the ways she imagined.
She was getting close now. You could tell by the way her moaning was becoming more high pitched, more desperate. Despite her clamped around your ears and almost screaming out for you, you take all the restraint with you to remove your mouth from her delicious pussy which was so eagerly throbbing for you. She stares at you blankly.
“W…why, why?” She questions, clearing her throat and trying to collect her composure. You smile up at her, chin glistening.
“You ignored me for weeks for such a stupid fucking reason when we could have been doing this the whole time. Apologise.”
“Look…I already explained it was-“ You tease her by dragging your index finger through her cunt.
“Apologise.” You repeat. She shuts her eyes tight at the feeling.
“S’sorry.” Ellie says, slurring her words. That would have to do, you decided, putting your mouth to her clit again. It’s only moments before her thighs are shaking and she’s tightening around your mouth, cumming harder than either of your had really anticipated. You come back up and she’s blushing at the sight of your dripping chin and mouth.
Ellie pins you down on the bed, kissing you deeply and savouring the taste of herself between your kisses. She puts a hand on your neck, not squeezing for fear of hurting you, and looking at you pleadingly. You’re surprised and can tell Ellie has a series of things she wants to try with you.
“Got a choking kink Ellie?” You question. She flushes red.
“No…I just….I wanted-“
“I’m joking.” You reassure, kissing her again. “You can choke me harder.” She looks at you stunned, clearly trying to determine if you were messing with her or not. You laugh again.
“Ellie…harder…” You say, and this finally convinces her it’s okay, gripping your throat like you belong to her which you already know you do.
She puts her free hand in your pants, allowing her fingers to move fluently against your underwear as if familiar with your body already. You gasp when she puts her hand in, with two of her long fucking fingers circling your clit in painfully slow circles.
When you moan it’s like music to her ears. She’s so in her head. Scared she’ll make one wrong move and lose you. But as she moves her fingers just right she knowsupsetting you would be difficult, if not impossible you were so in heaven right now. Ellie smiles slightly in adoration. She removes her fingers with an arrogant look on her face when she sees your dissatisfaction with the loss of contacts. You don’t question her actions, just look at her unimpressed until she explains.
“Don’t worry babe…just gonna put you-“ She picks you up by the waist, positioning you on her bare thigh. “Up like this.” You flush, feeling the way your soaked cunt paints her thigh. She smiles at your expression, feeling mildly embarrassed herself.
“I’ve been dreaming about…well...” She realises her error and the way she has just confessed to, quite literally, dreaming about this. “About you getting yourself. On…me.” Ellie adds quickly. You nod, starting to rock your hips up and down the base of her thigh, sliding so fucking easily with how coated her thigh was in your slick.
“What else have you been dreaming about?” She uses her hands to guide your hips, helping you get off.
“Tying you up…” Your eyes widen at her new found confidence. You’re excited to see how she acts when she’s not holding back like she so loved to do.
“Getting you overstimulated moaning my name knowing there’s nothing you can do about it.” You moan loudly, eyes shutting tight.
“Mmm…toy…or strap? Maybe your…oh fuck….your mouth?” You question. And fuck, you’re close.
“Toy. Want to watch you cum without me even needing to touch you so that when I do you’re so fucking cockdrunk and I’ve only just begun.”
“Nghh….Ellie~”
“Shhh…shh cum for me, cum….”
“G…gonna..”
“I know.” And just like that, your thighs are shaking, your eyes rolling into your head. You stop your rocking and she just holds you in place.
You ease off her thigh and sit in her lap. She kisses your neck and you laugh simply at the unexpectedness of everything.
“Something funny?” Ellie prys with a smile.
“We’re supposed to be patrolling.” You remind her. She shrugs.
“This is way more fun. Got no idea how long I’ve wanted to do this.”
“Ellie….you never even talk to me.” Ellie sighs, shuffling the two of you in position.
“Couldn’t. Not when…”
“You’ve been thinking about me all the time? Obsessed much?” She hits you playfully.
“Shut u-“
“Make me.” You interrupt. And needless to say she was going to do just that.
synopsis: just some random headcanons about what it'd be like to date loser ellie who's js so obsessed with you.
notes: never made any headcanon posts before, so don't mind the setup lmao i have no clue what i'm doing
tw: mostly fluff but there are some smutty hcs (oral — e!receiving)
✧₊⁺ to begin with, ellie defo prefers cozy 'netflix n chill' date nights over dressing up for fancy dinners.
✧₊⁺ cuddling up on the couch with you is something that never fails to make her heart swell, no matter how long you’ve been together.
✧₊⁺ but mostly because it gives her a chance to imagine what domestic life with you might be like—though she’d never admit it, afraid it might seem like she’s moving too fast.
✧₊⁺ she’s a sucker for resting her head on your chest while you thread your fingers through her hair, gently massaging her scalp as the two of you watch some cringey movie you’ll inevitably fall asleep to halfway through.
✧₊⁺ on the rare nights you don’t doze off, ellie grabs her brown acoustic guitar adorned with spongebob stickers and serenades you with a gentle melody while you rest your head on her shoulder.
✧₊⁺ when you’re out with friends, ellie—being the absolute dork she is—seizes the opportunity to practice tricks on her scratched-up skateboard, determined to one day impress you with her skills (even though she can barely land a kickflip without bruising herself)
✧₊⁺ when she eventually heads home with fresh scratches and deep purple bruises on her arms and knees, she does her best to patch herself up and cover them with makeup, hoping you won’t notice.
✧₊⁺ walking around town with ellie is always chaotic, as she can’t help but scream with excitement at the sight of every cat she sees.
✧₊⁺ bonus points if she’s eating chips—she’ll immediately tear open the bag and try to feed the poor animal junk food, no matter how much you explain it’s unhealthy. she just wants the cat to be happy and fed.
✧₊⁺ speaking of cats, she's defo the type to snap 0.5 pictures from every angle, proudly maintaining an entire folder dedicated to her feline encounters.
✧₊⁺ you got her a dino necklace for her birthday, and she’s never taken it off since.
✧₊⁺ ellie also has a whole mini-figure collection of the reptile and loves sending you pictures of two dinos kissing, always captioning them with: us!!
✧₊⁺ this girl lets nothing—absolutely nothing—distract her from a videogame. but the moment you so much as call her name, she’s running to you like a stray dog that just found its owner.
✧₊⁺ sometimes, you sit on her lap as she plays, watching her screen and asking the silliest questions. she always answers with a smile and a soft kiss on your cheek.
"what about there? would you die if you went inside that room?" you ask, your arms draped around her neck as you tilt your head to get a better view of her game.
she chuckles softly, pressing her lips to your jaw before fiddling with the joysticks. "judging by the fact that it’s pitch dark in there, i’d say… probably, yeah."
✧₊⁺ the room eventually falls silent, her focus fully locked on the game. but when she glances down a few moments later, she finds you fast asleep, your head resting on her shoulder, and she can’t help but smile.
✧₊⁺ you’ve never seen a room as messy yet effortlessly aesthetic as ellie’s. somehow, the clutter only adds to her charm and uniqueness.
✧₊⁺ sometimes, as you sit on her bed scrolling through your phone in comfortable silence, ellie sketches little drawings of you.
✧₊⁺ by now, her sketchbook is filled with portraits of you—you’ve become her muse.
✧₊⁺ she used to get shy about showing you her artwork, hesitating before every reveal. but after seeing your excitement over one piece, she proudly gave you a full tour of her sketchbook, secretly basking in the joy of being the reason behind that pretty smile of yours.
✧₊⁺ one time, ellie asked you to press your lipstick-stained lips onto a piece of paper, saying she wanted to create something abstract.
✧₊⁺ that moment quickly escalated into her kissing you with urgency, her lips trailing heated breaths down your neck and collarbone. before you knew it, you were lying on your back, clothes discarded on the floor, as she devoured you like a prisoner savoring a last meal.
✧₊⁺ ellie had never tasted pussy before, but she didn’t need any frame of reference. she’ll always insist yours is the best she could ever have.
✧₊⁺ she’s a soft dom, big on praise—even when you’re the one between her legs.
ellie’s head falls back against the wall, a low groan slipping from her lips as your tongue flicks against her clit. you wrap your lips around the sensitive bud, watching her face contort with pleasure.
“fuck, baby. just like that,” she grunts, her hand threading into your hair and tugging gently to bring you closer. “you’re doing so good.”
✧₊⁺ in the end, ellie is just a hopeless loser who’s madly in love with you and would do anything to make you happy.

i've never known someone like you tangled in love, stuck by you
⟡
never thought i'd find you, but you're here and so i love you
⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
"Watch your step, baby."
Ellie’s voice is soft as her hands gently cover your eyes. Her touch is light, almost featherlike, guiding you carefully across the empty grass field toward the surprise she’s been hinting at all morning.
You’d barely woken up when your phone lit up with a barrage of texts and missed calls. Ellie, in true Ellie fashion, was relentless.
cmonnnnnnnnn wake up wake up wake up i know i got keys to ur place but still i'm breaking the door down i'll wake u up with kisses is that what u want i stood up too fast and broke my lego set :(
You couldn’t help but laugh, her playful desperation tugging a smile from you even before you got out of bed. She’s always been like this—equal parts chaos and charm—and somehow, when you’re with her, she pulls you into that same carefree energy.
"Are we almost there?" you ask, your brows knitting together as she carefully steers you. You’re acutely aware of the soft rustle of your pastel yellow sundress, the patterned daisies swaying with each step. Ellie’s only instructions were to clear your plans and wear something "pretty but comfy." You picked the sundress because she once told you it was her favorite.
"We’ve been walking forever," you complain, though the playful whine in your voice betrays your curiosity.
Ellie presses a quick kiss to your cheek, her soft chuckle brushing against your skin as she teases your impatience. "Almost there. Just a little longer, I promise." She nods instinctively, then laughs when she remembers you can’t see her.
A few more moments pass, the anticipation making time stretch and blur. Suddenly, you feel her grip tighten around your waist, gently halting you before you can take another step.
"Okay, open your eyes," she whispers, her voice warm with excitement.
Your eyes flutter open, and a grin spreads across your face as you take in the scene before you. A white picnic blanket is spread neatly across the grass, anchored with a wicker basket and a few plates of fruit. Strawberries glisten in the sunlight, accompanied by a small dish of melted chocolate off to the side. The thoughtful simplicity of it all makes your heart swell.
Without a second thought, you spin around and throw your arms over her shoulders, pulling her close as your lips find hers in a beaming kiss. "I love it," you murmur against her mouth, your smile never fading.
"And I love you," she murmurs, her voice soft and full of warmth. She intertwines her fingers with yours, gently pulling you down onto the blanket. The two of you settle across from each other, the sunlight casting a golden glow over her smile.
Your gaze drifts to the basket, curiosity getting the better of you. Peeking inside, you spot a few mini croissants nestled together, their buttery aroma wafting up and making your stomach rumble in anticipation.
Lifting your gaze to meet hers, you’re met with the sight of a chocolate-covered strawberry hovering just above your lips. Ellie’s grin is playful, her eyes sparkling as you part your lips, allowing her to gently guide the fruit into your mouth. The rich sweetness melts on your tongue, and you hum in delight, tilting your head slightly as a stray drop of juice trickles down your chin.
Ellie chuckles, her thumb sweeping it away with a soft touch before leaning in to press her lips against yours in a delicate kiss. It’s warm, sweet, and impossibly loving—a perfect reflection of her.
In this moment, everything feels just right. The chocolate-covered strawberries, the buttery croissants, and the peaceful picnic setting are lovely, but none of it compares to the joy of being here, spending this time with your goofball of a girlfriend.

Summary: You plan on leaving the WLF and you finally taste freedom until Ellie finds you.
Author's Note: Smut Ahoy!
Ellie photo credit to Tpicsl on Pinterest.
“Lone female trespasser in the subway tunnels. We are in pursuit over,” your comrade radioed in. The red flare spilled its crimson light throughout the tunnel. You hesitated following behind your small group of four. ‘I did not sign up for this shit,’ you thought as you held your pistol with both hands, ready to shoot. You haven't been with the WLF long but Isaac knew how to keep a stick up everyone’s asses. You didn’t sign up for war, or to track down this trespasser, but you were desperate enough for food and shelter. You figured you’d play nice and then defect- alone.
Crash
A glass bottle is flung into the air and crashed by your feet. The immediate sound of clickers waking up and their wailing echoes throughout as they stammer towards you and the team. “Shit here they come!” You and your team shoot. “NO! NOO!” one comrade goes down, a clicker beating them down, breaking their mask, and tearing out their jugular. You shoot it. Your team isn’t doing so well and you see them pinned down and beaten by clickers. “I didn’t sign up for this shit,” you reload and hide behind a crate. More shots are fired and you look out from behind the crate to see one comrade getting up. “Fucking clickers.. Fucking trespasser,” you here them say as they look around. You think about hiding until they leave and officially defecting. He goes to reach for the radio when an arrow shoots him right in the throat. You fall in a cold sweat and watch him collapse, gargling up blood and pooling it in his mask.
You weren't alone. Finally, you hear the grunt of a female coming out from behind the broken train. “Fucking wolves,” she hisses in her mask and walks over to the corpses to scavenge. You pray that she leaves so you can be free of all this bullshit. “Hmph,” you hear her say, then kicks one of the bodies before leaving through an emergency door. You wait a few minutes before reemerging. Bodies on the ground. “Come in group 2 over! Do you read group 2 over?” You heard over the radio. It was time to finally go.
You leave through the emergency exit leading to a stairwell that ascends up to another door leading outside. You were relieved you made it out. You took off your mask. “Don’t move,” you froze. You slowly put your hands up and looked over at her. She was waiting for you behind a bush and now you were in point-blank range. “You scream and I fucking shoot you, understand?” You looked her up and down through furrowed brows. “Yes.” you replied sternly. She was covered in blood on one side. Her eyes were a light green, contrasting against the blood and burrowing holes in your head. She slowly stepped closer, “Don’t. Move. Don’t. Scream,” she growled. She slowly took something out from behind her, “Hands behind your back.” Just when you thought you were free, you’re getting pinned and hands tied against a wall. “I’m not with the wolves!” you pleaded, “Not anymore! You’re after wolves right? I’ll cooperate-” she tightens the rope, grabbing a fistful of hair, and yanking your head back. “What did I just say?” she said by your ear through gritted teeth. You gulped, “Don’t move. Don’t scream,” your voice quieter, compliant. “Good,” she yanks you away from the wall, “You’re going to start walking. If you try to run, I’ll shoot. Scream, I’ll shoot. Or leave you to the infected,” she has her hand on your shoulder and leads you out the alley.
“Anymore of you fuckers coming this way?”
“Yes.”
“Then take a left,” and you do.
You walk for thirty minutes before she decides to push you into a theater. You’re on the ground as she locks the door with a chair. She turns to face you as you lay on your side. She finds another chair and sets it up next to you facing the bar. She pulls you on it and starts to tie your ankles. You wanted to protest but weren't sure how, “H-hey,” your voice was soft, “I won't be any trouble I swear..” but she didn’t look at you. You smelled the soft fragrance of cologne coming off her which you did not expect. She tied you to the chair by your ankles and arms. She dropped her bag and went over to the bar, grabbing a small bottle of something. She came back over to you holding the bottle to your lips, “Drink.” You took note of her tattoo as you smelled the pungent alcohol. Your face was laced with concern, ‘This is going to be my last drink,’ you thought. You accepted the bottle and she poured a good amount into your mouth. You swallowed hard and felt the burning as it went down. You coughed. She pulls up another chair in front of you and scoffs before sitting and drinking some herself, “Drink much?” she asks as she man spreads. You don’t respond. “Now,” she starts and takes her knife out, “Where’s Abby?”
‘Fuuuuuck,’ you thought. Abby was like a princess to the WLF and you didn’t know why. You were staring back into her green eyes, “I don’t know.” She frowned, not liking your answer. She grazed your thigh with the tip of her knife then held it at a point where she felt was suitable for puncturing when she saw fit. You gulped and visibly started to shake. “Don’t make me regret not shooting you. Tell. Me. Everything.” And so you did:
“S-she went AWOL earlier today. Last seen at the hospital.”
“Nora was there right?”
“Yes, but not anymore. They loaded their stock and went back to the stadium.”
“Owen?”
“He went AWOL two days ago.”
She thinned her lips and looked down at the knife.
“But Mel,” you started and thought back to earlier that day, “Mel and Owen are expecting a baby. She was interrogated and didn’t know where Owen was, or didn’t say. But I overheard Nora and Mel talking about the aquarium. I would check there.”
She removes the knife and pulls out her map confirming the location. You sighed in relief. “Why are you leaving the wolves?” she folds up the map, green eyes watching you for an answer. “I was alone and hungry when I joined a few months ago, but this group is at war and I’m forced to risk my life as a low rank member. I’d rather take what I need and leave before I die fighting in a useless war.” She squints her eyes at you and leans in holding the edges of your seat. The faint scent of her cologne revisits your nostrils and your lidded eyes meet her’s. “Now why should I believe a fucking wolf traitor like you?” her breath meets your lips. “You can’t,” you said looking down at her lips and back up at her eyes. The alcohol was running its course. “What’s your name?” you asked without much thought through a quick whisper. She smirks and her eyes wander admiring your face, “You don’t drink much do you?” You shake your head.
She pulls her knife out and your eyes widen. She goes for the rope at your ankles first, then your wrists. She sits back watching you as you rub your wrists. “Thank you,” you say. “It’s Ellie,” she says, “you?” You respond with your name. She stands and grabs her bag, “Through the door there’s a theater, and a dressing room in the back. Can I trust that you’ll wait there for me?” you nod.
You stand and walk over to her as she shuffles her bag on. You were clearly drunk by the way you almost missed a step and Ellie caught you. “You know what, I’ll walk you back there,” she says. You two finally made it to the dressing room with you leaning on her the entire time. She sits you down on the cushioned seat in the middle of the room, “Stay here, understand?” You look up at her and nod. Ellie brings herself down to your level with hands at your side again, she licks her lips, “I need you to say it,” she whispers. “I understand,” your eyes were yearning. “Good.”
Seven hours had passed. You managed to sleep and recover from the impending hangover that was brought by your drunken episode. Despite having been drunk, you remembered everything. You sat up and splashed your face with clean water from a bucket nearby. Then you heard footsteps. You had virtually nothing to defend yourself with. The door opens and it’s Ellie. She was soaked from the rain. “You stayed,” her voice was low, almost sounding sad. “You told me to,” you responded. She drops her bag and you walk over to her, “Did you find her?” you ask hesitantly. You both just look at each other instead. Her eyes looking at your lips and you step over to her reaching for her arm. Ellie didn’t want to talk. You gasped when she grabbed your hips and held you close. “Tell me to stop and I will,” she whispers, but you knew what you wanted. “I want you,” you responded. Without wasting anymore time, Ellie presses her lips on yours. You smelled the rain and cologne on her. She leads you to the cushion where she lays you down and attacks your neck and slides her hands up your shirt to knead your breast. You whimper at the feeling of her calloused fingers fondling you. She lifts your shirt up above your breast and gives them a good look before kissing between them as she pinches them. You were in bliss with her hot mouth leaving wet kisses from your chest to your neck. She started to unbuckle your jeans with her tattooed arm and slid her hand past your underwear. Your moans are more like whines and all the while Ellie watches your expression with darkened eyes and a flushed look on her face. “Fuck me, your so fucking wet for me,” she says sending hot breath on your neck. You feel her slide her finger up and down your folds and your eyebrows knit together and you whimper- desperate for more friction. She pumps her fingers up and down and in circles until she finds the right pattern for your clit. You’re bucking your hips under her touch. You feel your high coming and slide your hand under Ellie’s shirt to fondle her breast. “Mm fuck is this what you want?” She uses her other hand to quickly lift her shirt up and show off her perky breast. “Yes I want you Ellie,” you say so close to your orgasm. You continue to play with her breast as her finger fucks you closer to the edge. “Give it to me,” Ellie commands as she bites down on your neck firmly. The slight pain from the bite brings you over the edge completely and your hips stagger against her touch. You become limp as you lay still holding on to her chest. Ellie slides her hand out gently and you watch as she puts her finger in her mouth. “You taste so fucking good,” she looks down at you. You pull her down with your hand to taste yourself in a kiss. You didn’t care too much for the taste, but you liked the way her mouth felt against yours.

synopsis- you can't sleep and invite your girlfriend(?) over, she obviously says yes. p.s. this is my first real post lol not proofread srry and reader has no roommate
cw: swearing, sexual themes (no smut tho) ,fluffyyy!!
You rolled around in your sheets, but your mind wouldn't shut off, thoughts of your day with ellie swirled in your head. She was so gorgeous when you first met her in your shared class you could barely even talk. Now you'd been on two dates, you'd kissed a few time and such.... She was really funny and had had basically taken over the entirety of your thoughts.
In a moment of impulsivity you decided to text her, even though it was 1 am you figured she'd still be awake, her being quite a night owl.
Hey, are you up?
After a few minutes your phone vibrated.
yeah.. why are you up? are you alright?
i'm alright:)
just can't sleep, would be better if u were here lol
You imedeitely regretted saying such a thing because she stopped typing, fuck. i should not have said that, were taking things slow, i was keeping things chill, cool, normal, unserious.
After a few minutes you were literally going crazy, why was she not answering she could a least say something funny like "yeah lol probably would be ;)" but nope, nothing.
Soon enough it was 1:27am and still nothing so you tried to finally go back to sleep again. But it was actually worse now then it was 40 minutes ago. Until you heard a really loud knock on your door, probably waking up your next door neighbor, the dorm wall were really thin. Who the fuck would be at your door at this hour, unless they had the wrong place (unfortunately not the first time in sucha large dorm complex).
You swiftly grabbed the giant water bottle next to your bed incase you were in need of knocking someone over the head. You went up to the door, that unfortunately did not have a peephole so you could secretly look out as who was there.
So you opened it.
And there she was Ellie was at your fucking door in plaid pajama pants and a red long sleeve top . (shes so hot omg)
"hey" she said
"what the hell are you doing her?" you returned.
"Jesus, your the one who said it would be better this way y/n" she looked slightly taken aback.
"Sorry thats not what i meant, els. come in please"
She walked through the frame and you shut the door behind her.
"what I meant is its nearing 2 in the morning, and your not, you know... in your bed."
She started smirking a little and you could tell that the teasing for your most recent text would begin in 3, 2, 1...
"Seems thats not what you wanted, based on the pick me boy shite text you sent me very recently. huh?"
Yuck, she was right.
"sorry I think my lack of sleep has deluded me into thinking we're like more than we are or whatever. its stupid, i'm sorry" is all you could think of saying
"No, don't be sorry, I'd literally drive all night if you really wanted me to be here with you" she responded and it seemed really genuine. You could see a slight blush rising in her cheeks.
"ohhh really..." you joked.
"really" she replied softly walking closer towards you before moving her hand to the back of you neck and leaning in to kiss you. It was one of those really smiley kisses where your teeth may almost clash. You could taste toothpaste on her tongue as if she had already been fully ready for bed before her arrival.
Your heart was definitely beating faster than usual.
You were the first to pull away, unfortunately.
"you're already here so it seems only right that I invite you to stay"
"didn't you already do that?" she laughs, she had a truly beautiful laugh.
"shut up" you said gaily. (get it gay-ly, sorry)
You moved to your bed, just laid there together, as if it was a normality, like if wasn't the first time. It was comfortable silence, until ellie told some stupid joke that made you guys laugh for what seemed like ages. Then you fell into one of the easiest and peaceful sleeps you'd had in forever. It was nice, because she was there.
immmmmm going insane thinking about this 😿😿😿 loser!ellie that would randomly say to u after being staring for so long: “you’re so art deco”/ “you look like that part from Art Deco yk from lana del rey”
like out of nothing , then she would return to whatever tf she was doing🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️
pookie this is so loser!ellie coded tbh
warnings: none
Ellie sat on your bed as her fingers strummed her guitar as she patiently waited for you.
Ellie sat in her own self pity because of tonight. You were going out and Ellie had to stay here. She wanted to keep you here with her but that would be selfish.
Ellie knew she was a selfish girl, especially when it came to you, but she knew you needed the break. It would only be a few hours and then you'd be home soon, in Ellie's arms.
Whatever you want you'd get. And if you wanted a night out without Ellie, you would get it.
Ellie quietly hummed when she heard the shower turn off, her eyes lingered at the door waiting for you to walk out, her fingers stilled waiting in suspense.
The opened and hot steam seeped out of the room, and you walked out in all your glory.
Your hair was still dripping, leaving water droplets wherever you walked. Your body was covered in a white towel. You looked so pretty and relaxed, and as you entered the room the scent of your body wash consumed Ellie's senses.
"Hi els" you muttered when you noticed her eyes on you.
You heard her audibly gulp, before she looked back down at her guitar and replying with a simple “hi”.
You smiled at her shyness before you walked towards your vanity. You were going out tonight, you’ve been waiting for this moment for weeks, finally getting a break from your shitty job.
You deserved tonight.
Ellie knew she was being a perv, and this was definitely creepy but how could she look away when you looked like that.
She silently watched as you did your hair, she watched as you walked around the room choosing an outfit, She watched the way the water droplets on your shoulders went dry.
She shouldn’t be staring. That’s creepy, but how could you expect her to look away when you look like that.
god you were making this hard for her.
"You look like that one Lana Del Ray song"
"huh?"
Ellie's face turned read, she felt sweaty, her heart was going to explode out of her chest.
She wasn’t supposed to say that out loud.
Fuck.
"What did you say Ellie?"
She gulped once again before shyly meeting your gaze: "you look like that one Lana Del Rey song" "Which one els?"
Ellie looked away and you walked towards her, placing your hand under her chin, forcing her to meet her gaze.
"Tell me Ellie"
god you made her feel so small
"Um art deco….. yeah you're so art deco"
a small appeared on your face as you let go of her chin.
"thank you els... you think I look that pretty to be compared to a Lana song?"
"you're the prettiest, but right now, in this moment you look like that song. You could never be compared to anything because there's nothing that describes your beauty. I will never know how to describe you, but through music... it describes like- like a glimpse of what you look like"
When Ellie eventually met your gaze, you stood there jaw dropped.
"Anyway you should continue getting ready" Ellie shrugged, before she brought her fingers back to her guitar.
How could she say something like that and just go back to playing her guitar as if nothing happened?
You slowly walked back to your vanity as you looked at her through your mirror. You heard her play the melody of art deco and a smile spread onto your face as you went back to doing your makeup.
Ellie looked up from where she was playing to look at you do your makeup.
Both of you had the same thought:
How did you get so lucky?
requesting a fic of Ellie n reader running away and their lives kinda suck but they’re still glad cuz they have eachother and they’re away from their old environment and that’s all that rlly matters :) based on things to do by alex g!
things to do - (ellie williams x reader)
Hey anon! this is such a sweet idea! I loved writing this so much. Ily for this. I hope you enjoy it:)
This story is based off the song Things to do by Alex G. If you can please listen to the song as you're reading:)
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
requests are open, feel free to leave one!
Warnings: toxic households (but there's a happy ending)
Summary: In which they got their happily ever after
Authors note: what?? me writing happy fics??? it's so rare but i love them. Also my surgery is in 2 days, so i'll be post all my drafts and requests over the next two days, so while i recover, so you guys have things to read:)
Thinkin' of things to do
Yeah, only the cheapest things left there for you
And the only thing I learned from you is that there's nothing left
To look forward to
I was asleep for days, and now you're the only thing
Keepin' me awake
The calculator will make the same mistakes
Yeah, I see it in its face
Ellie nervously sat under the tree waiting for you. She anxiously looked down at the plastic bag, silently praying that you'd like the snacks she bought.
"I'm sorry I'm late" you said breathing heavily as you ran towards her.
"Your mom was yelling at you again?"
"Yeah" you said as you sat next to her.
"Sometimes I just want to sleep, y'know? Like sleep without her waking me up and yelling" you admitted.
Ellie nodded in understanding because she too was experiencing the same thing.
Nobody understood the two of you like you understood each other.
You met Ellie when you were 14.
You remember she was sitting alone, and she was crying because she didn't have any lunch. You decided to talk to her.
"My mom also forgets to give me lunch money sometimes, but it's ok! I know where we can get something to eat" you said with a soft smile.
And the rest was history.
You and Ellie became inseparable because you both understood each other. You could comfort each other because you knew what the other was going through.
Whenever things were rough at home for you, you always went to Ellie. Or when Ellie need something to eat you'd always take something extra for her.
All you and Ellie were used to, was yelling, and constant fighting. But when you were each other there was none of that.
There was peace and unconditional love.
"Aw Ellie you should have" you said as she opened the bag to show you what she had got for you.
"Anything for you" Ellie muttered.
The two of you sat in a comfortable silence. And Ellie's mind wondered.
You were such a nice person. You didn't deserve the toxic environment you were in.
Both of you didn't.
Silent moments like these with you always made Ellie happy.
She wished she had more time with you.
She wanted to take you away from all pain. From all the yelling, and sleepless nights, she wanted to keep you happy.
There was nothing left here for her. The only thing that kept her going was you.
The light in her darkness.
You felt Ellies eyes burning into the side of your head. You swallowed the gummy worms you had in your mouth as you turned to her, raising an eyebrow you asked "what?"
Ellie went quiet for a while, until she said something you thought you'd never hear her say.
"Let's run away together"
Hold on tight to this time, this place
'Cause everything you know will be erased
You were born inside your head
And that is where you'll be when you are dead
You are just a boy you are no man and
Nobody you know will understand
You are just a boy you are no man and
Nobody you know will understand
"Ellie I can't just leave, my mom will look for me-"
"fuck your fucking mom! She doesn't care, can't you see? If we leave we'll be free, we can live in peace. Please let's go" Ellie sighed in defeat.
If you chose Ellie you would betray your family, if you chose your family you would lose the only person who kept you sane.
"Ellie I cant" you said quietly.
You felt the tears in your eyes.
Was this really good bye?
Ellie got up and she looked at you with sad eyes "I cant force you, but I hope you're happy here"
She started walking away but she suddenly stopped, she looked back at you without any expression.
"I'm leaving tomorrow night, if you change your mind i'll be at the train station"
She left. She left you alone.
You went back home crying.
You'd just lost the only person, who you truly loved.
You were so fucking stupid.
You walked into your house and you immediately heard your mother's nagging voice yelling: "fucking finally, come here! You need to fix the sink"
you ignored her and you dashed to your room, as fast as you possibly could.
You locked the door, and you heard your mother pound against the door.
She was yelling insults at you, as if you didn't have feelings.
She truly deserves the mother of the year award.
After a while, she left and you were finally alone with your thoughts.
Did you make the right decision?
Ellie sat anxiously at the station, she hoped you'd change your mind. That's you'd show up. For your freedom, and safety.
She'd hoped you'd come for her.
She bit her nails waiting for the train to come in, hoping Joel didn't notice she was gone. She heard the sound of the train pull, and with a sigh she got up holding the strap on her backpack in a tight grip.
You weren't going to come. This was it.
"Ellie!"
Her head snapped in the direction of your voice.
There you stood in all your glory holding a bag. There was a grin on your face.
With your bag in hand you ran to Ellie and she ran to you. The two of you met halfway, and Ellie held you in a tight grip.
If she held you any tighter, surely you would suffocate.
"I thought you weren't going to come" Ellie breathed as she still held you.
You pulled away first, and you leaned forward, kissing her.
Ellie didn't kiss you back at first and you almost wanted to pull away and die, but you soon felt her lips move. You felt her smile during the kiss.
As you pulled away you looked at her with a shy smile "I love you Ellie, of course I came"
A grin spread onto the girls face and before she could say anything the locomotive yelled "departure in 2 minutes"
Ellie grabbed your hand, and she rushed onto the train with you.
The two of you sat next to each other, your hands still interlocked.
"I love you too" Ellie finally breathed.
The train started move, and the nerves you and Ellie felt were finally falling away. You would finally be free.
"To our new life together" Ellie said before she brought you in for another kiss.
Welcoming you back home
The only one that you have ever known
Welcoming you back home
The only one that you will ever know
as Ellie opened the front door the smell of a freshly baked pie filled the air.
This was home.
She walked through the threshold of your shared apartment and she practically ran to the kitchen in search of you.
As Ellie entered she saw you standing with your back facing her. You were humming a familiar tune.
She walked towards you, you felt her arms wrap around you as she started singing with you.
This was home.
The two of you were each others safe spaces. Each others homes.
And Ellie hoped for the rest of her life that she would come home to you.
Home doesn't always have to be a place, it's a person too. And you were that person.
Forever and always.
The best decision Ellie made was running away with you, and she had zero regrets.
wait I’m so curious to the angst fic you wrote to in my feelings - ldr :0 cuz I would’ve never interpret it into an angst fic! Do you think you can publish that one too? No pressure! 💕

Summary: In which you fell for a loser
Authors note: i know I've not been that active and I'm so sorry. Life has just been busy, i have to write exams, i have a surgery on Thursday so it's been tense lmao, but I'm trying. Please be patient with me <3
I'm smoking while I'm runnin' on my treadmill
But I'm cutting up roses
Could it be that I fell for another loser
I'm crying while I'm cummin'
Making love while I'm making good money
Sobbin' in my cup of coffee
'Cause I fell for another loser
"Could it be that I fell for another loser?" You asked Dina as the cigarette smoke left your plush lips.
You heard Dina snort beside you.
"probably, she looks like she could be one, and she treats you like shit" she shrugged"
you shook your head at her honesty.
It's embarrassing honestly. You truly did have a type for losers.
People who couldn't make eye contact with you. People who would fold as soon as you gave them your pretty smile. You had the control, but yet anything you had with these people weren't real love. It was purely lust. It was fun.
You liked being in control, you liked breaking them.
But with Ellie it was different.
You met Ellie at a gym.
She caught you eye immediately. She was perfect. Her autumn brown hair tied in a tight ponytail, she was wearing pink leggings with a matching sports bra. The sweat on her forehead glistening under the light of the gym.
If god was real this pretty girl would be in your bed by the end of the night
You ran on the treadmill for a while, trying to ignore the pretty girls eyes. You saw her watching you though the mirror. You felt her eyes trail down your body.
Maybe she wanted you like you wanted her.
After a while you tried leaving the gym, you lit a cigarette as you walked out, your bag hung on your shoulder.
"Hi"
you flinched at the strange voice.
Oh. It was her.
Pink tight girl.
"Hey" you responded.
You saw her gaze fall to the floor as she shyly muttered "I'm Ellie"
What a fucking loser. She couldn't even look at you.
You loved her already.
You gave her your name, and you listened as it fell from her tongue multiple time. She was testing the was your name tasted on her tongue and she loved it.
"Those are bad for you" she pointed out you shrugged
"it makes me look hot, doesn't it?" Was all you said as you took another puff, throwing your head back as the smoke filled the air.
You felt her eyes on you, and you heard her audibly gulp.
"Doesn't it Ellie?" you persisted
"yeah- yeah it does"
you gave her a smile, and before you waved goodbye she handed you a paper. With a raised eyebrow you opened it and in a messy handwriting was her number.
You looked at her and she looked away, she couldn't make eye contact with you.
All you could do was smirk, they were always so fucking easy to make nervous.
"I'll call you" you winked.
Now here you stood 5 weeks later, sobbing into a cup of coffee because you fell for a fucking loser.
Get that cigarette smoke out of my face
You've been wasting my time
While you're taking what's mine, with the things that you're doing
Talk that talk, well now they all know your name
And there's no coming back from the place that you came
Baby don't do it
you don't know what happened with Ellie.
The girl you called a loser once, the girl who fell to her knees when you smiled is suddenly a cold hearted person.
"Get that cigarette smoke out of my face" Ellie huffed as she sat across you.
You rolled your eyes before you put the cigarette out.
"Ellie calm down so we can talk"
"talk about what? You're wasting my time with this"
your jaw dropped at her words.
'What a fucking bitch' you thought to yourself.
"I'm wasting your fucking time? Ellie don't make me mad because I will fucking slap you"
she looked taken aback at your harsh words, her cheeks tined in a pink color.
Her eyes fell to the floor, and for a second you saw her.
Your Ellie.
The loser you fell for.
But she suddenly got up muttering "I will not be disrespected by someone like you", and she walked out of your apartment. The door slammed and you were left alone.
The silence was so loud.
There was no coming back from this.
The more time you spent with Ellie, the more you discovered about her. She used to be so sweet.
You remembered your first date, she couldn't even hold your hand and she constantly apologized for everything.
She was a fucking loser.
But one day someone said that Ellie was out of your league. You knew she was. Some like Ellie deserved someone better, but yet you thought she fell for you.
That day changed everything. Ellie's eyes widened at the person's comment and she was quieter than usual that day.
The next time you saw her, she was a whole new person. Her entire persona changed. Her hair, makeup, style, even the way she fucking walked changed.
You were happy that she had confidence, but you found out she was seeing other people behind your back.
Despite never being official it hurt.
You knew Ellie could talk to whoever she wanted to, but you thought you had something special.
One night when Ellie was sleeping over, you asked her the question.
"What are we?"
she never replied.
Every fucking time you brought it up, she always walked away.
What a fucking loser. What a fucking pussy.
Even today, you invited her over to talk. To see if she liked you. You needed closure because truthfully you fell for the autumn brown headed girl.
You just had to make sure.
And to hear her say that you were wasting her time was fucking sick.
She was wasting yours with her games.
And here you thought you had actually met a loser worth your time.
'Cause you got me in my feelings (catch you, it's so much right now)
Talking in my sleep again (you can whistle if you want)
Drown out all our screaming (catch you, it's so much right now)
Who's tougher than this bitch
Who's free-er than me
You wanna make the switch
Be my guest baby
I'm feeling all my fucking feelings
you wish you could sleep right now. You were tired, and you didn't have any energy for bullshit.
Ellie's rant had begun after she spotted you and Dina getting lunch earlier.
Wow so you can't breathe the air of another girl but she can fuck someone else? That's wonderful logic!
But you sat here listening to Ellie yelling at you for some reason.
You wish you could drown put her screaming.
"Ellie can you just shut the fuck up!" you yelled.
You had enough of her mixed signals. You had enough of her practically cheating on you. You were tired.
"How dare you talk to me like that-" but before Ellie could end up yelling again you got up, pushing her against the wall.
"How dare I? How dare you! You fucking lead me on for weeks, then you freak out when I hang out with another girl! Ellie you are really fucking stupid" you said though heavy breathes.
Ellie stared at you with wide eyes.
There she is.
The girl you thought you had a chance with.
You took a step back, shaking your head and chuckling.
"You really are a fucking loser, how could I fall for someone like you?" You asked yourself.
Ellie heard.
She got up walking to you, she placed her hands on your shoulders "i-i like you. A lot. I just didn't know how to express myself- and- you made me so nervous so I thought I could make you j-jealous"
you shrugged her hands off your shoulders and you took another step back.
"That's not how relationships work Ellie, you ruined this yourself"
"Please listen-"
"get the fuck out"
Ellie sighed before she got up. She was on her way to the door, and she looked back at you for the last time.
"smoking is bad for you" she said with a sad smile.
You chucked at her words before responding "it makes me look hot doesn't it?"
"It really does"
you watched as Ellie walk out the door, you lit another cigarette.
As the smoke filled the air, like it has countless times before. you let out a sigh at the realization: you fell in love with another loser.
Heyy!! I was randomly thinking about a scenario where the reader and Ellie are cuddling on a cold night. The reader's hands are very cold, and Ellie warms them up in various ways. For example, Ellie would use her own hands, and her breath or something to warm them up 😭
oh my god anon, imagine how sweet she would be😭
warnings: tooth rotting fluff and one suggestive joke
You shivered as a cool breeze blew into you and Ellie’s shared room.
You thought you closed it.
Ellie lay behind you, her arm wrapped around your waist and your legs tangled.
On a cold night such as this one, she was always keeping you warm. You loved cuddling with Ellie in the winter but as soon as summer rolled around you didn’t want to be close to her.
Her warm skin pressed against yours warmed you up almost immediately. The only part of your body that wasn’t feeling your girlfriends’ warmth was your hands.
They were fucking freezing.
You were sure that if you didn’t do anything they would freeze off.
You gently turned around in Ellie’s tight grip trying not to wake her up. After a few minutes of struggle, you faced her and a smile spread across your lips. She looked so innocent and sweet. Her brows were slightly furrowed; her lips were pouted.
She was so fucking cute.
You were snapped out of your admiring gaze when you felt another shiver run down your spine once again. You slowly lifted up your hands, as you pulled up Ellie’s shirt to reveal her waist. You placed your cold hands on her waist.
She was so warm.
Ellie’s eyes shot open, and she sat up immediately yelling “what the fuck!?”
You looked at her with doe eyes “hi baby” you breathed
“dude why are your hands so fucking cold?” she said shivering. Her eyes were puffy, her hair was messy, and her voice hoarse.
You sat up with her “I don’t know els, but can you help me? You’re just so warm and I thought you could help” you admitted as you looked down at your hands.
You felt Ellie’s hand touch your shoulder and her other hand was under your chin forcing you to look at her “yeah I’ll help” she with a smile “but only if you give me a kiss”
You rolled your eyes at her request before you leaned forward to give her a slow kiss but you quickly pulled away knowing what would happen if you kiss for too long.
“why’d you pull away?”
“Ellie we both know you won’t stop”
A smirk appeared on her lips “you love it though”
“shut up and help me”
Ellie chuckled as she took your hands into hers.
She was really fucking warm.
You watched as she gently took your cold hands and brought them up to her lips, as left warm open mouthed kisses on your hands.
You immediately felt warmer.
“is it working?” she asked
“almost I’m still a little cold” you replied
A frown appeared on her lips, she was thinking of another way, before her eyes lit up.
“lay down”
“what?”
“baby just listen to me” Ellie begged.
You nodded as you lay on your back. Ellie lay on your chest soon after letting out a sigh as the feeling.
“How is this supposed to help?”
“look” she started as she grabbed your hands, and putting it into her shirt. You cold hands on her skin made her shiver but after a while you finally felt the warmth you craved.
After laying in silence for a while you fell asleep and Ellie carefully got up. She closed the window and she put fuzzy socks onto your feet. She looked down at your sleeping frame and a smile spread on to her face.
She truly loved you, cold hands and all. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

Summary: In which you dyed your hair red
Authors note: thank you for 300 followers! I'm in tears, I love you all <3
Kiss my ass, you don't know jack
And if you say you understand, you don't
You don't
You don't
You don't
Fuck me, only when I'm keen
Not according to your beer
Your beer
Your beer
Your beer
you saw her contact name, appear on your phone. The red heart you put next to her name, mocking you.
god you were so stupid for falling for her
You hesitantly picked up the phone.
"Come over" you heard her demand from the other end. You could hear the music booming. She must've been at a party.
"Ellie" you said firmly. "You should stop calling me, I'm not a fucking dog that you can call, and expect to show up whenever you want"
"but I miss you baby" she slurred.
Yep, she was definitely drunk.
"Listen-" she started
"I know fucked up but I miss you-"
You didn't even let her finish before you ended the call.
You threw your phone onto the other side of the bed as you broke out in tears. You fell to knees as you held a pillow close to you. Normally Ellie would comfort you, but now she was the reason you were so broken.
You fucking hate love her.
Loud broken sobs left your mouth. She had no fucking right to call you. You deserved better, after what she put you through. The humiliation, the lies, the cheating- you didn't deserve that. No person does.
People like Ellie thought they were god. She always got what she wanted. She was always in control. She was attractive, confident. Narcissistic at times. She was a walking green flag.
Until the two of started seeing each other.
Ellie was nice to you in the beginning. She took you on dates, bought you everything, she spoiled you rotten. She made you soft.
When you thought the two of you were official, Ellie told you that she had been cheated on in the past and she couldn't commit. And you believed her.
You trusted her. You made excuses for her. You defended her.
The longer you and Ellie stayed in this 'relationship', the worse your life became.
You couldn't look in the direction of another women, but Ellie could flirt with as many as she wanted to. Ellie would go days without talking to you, only calling when she wanted a quick fuck.
It took you 7 months to realize that you meant nothing to her. And now here you were ignoring her calls, hoping that she'd leave you alone.
You couldn't block her, you loved her too much for that.
You were pathetic.
How could you love someone so heartless?
but the heart wants what it wants. And all you craved was Ellie.
You sobbed for hours.
Your eyes were puffy, your throat felt raw, before you picked up your phone again.
No calls or texts from her.
Wow.
And here you thought she was trying to fix things.
So let me be what I've wanted to be
So let me cut my hair and dye it red if I want to
I haven't found myself so comfortable
I'm not stopping n
Touch me as if you mean it
Accept I'm getting tired of being all alone
Alone
Alone
Alone
And if it's not from you
Guess I'll find it on my own
you looked yourself in the mirror as you the red dye stained your hair.
You felt free. Like you could actually express yourself.
With Ellie you felt alone. So empty. She controlled your every move. What you wore, your hairstyles, everything.
She'd call you doll because you were only a doll in her eyes. Someone she could dress up, fuck and leave when she was done.
You thought she'd loved you.
The way she touched you, made you feel loved. Her warm hands on her waist, the tender kisses she left on your forehead. It felt like love, but it wasn't.
You saw the way she touched Dina. She looked at her with the same eyes she looked at you with. The same touches, the same smile, and the same promises.
Fuck.
You wanted to vomit when you realized that you weren't the only one.
There was before Ellie. A girl who was insecure, someone who thought she deserves to be alone. There was during Ellie, a girl who was controlled and suppressed, now there's after Ellie.
Who were you? Who were you without her?
Maybe dying your hair red, could give you the identity you craved.
You watched the dye color the water red, as you rinsed it out.
It reminded you of blood. It reminded you of Ellie's blood that flowed after you payed her a visit earlier that day.
You dried your hair and you looked at yourself in the mirror. You looked good like this.
Dying it red was a good idea, after all.
Think I'd be better off alone
Now that I've had some time to think
I've had to put up with your shit
When you're not even that cute
And maybe it's time to change my ways
But that doesn't include you
you've put up with her shit too long. You knocked angrily at her door, you just wanted to see her stupid face and tell her what you fucking thought of her.
Ellie opened up the door, and she looked at you with grin on her face "I see you came.. I knew you couldn't resist me"
You wanted to punch her so bad.
You gave her a fake smile before answering "of course I did, anything for my favorite girl"
Ellie smiled at your response.
She's so pretty.
No, she's not. She isn't.
Pretty people aren't bitches you thought to yourself.
You were here for answers, not to admire her.
Ellie welcomed you in with open arms. You silently walked behind her, and you truly felt out of place in her apartment, even though you were here so many times.
Everything was fine before she had to open her goddam mouth.
"You're so fucking pathetic, you know that right? You ended my call, but yet you're here" she laughed.
You blacked out. You were so fucking angry.
In an instant you grabbed a vase that was next to you and you hit Ellie over the head. You fell to your knees as you repeatedly hit her head with the vase.
When you snapped back to reality the only thing you saw was, blood shards of glass and Ellie's bloody body on the floor.
The blood was oozing from her head as it colored her hair red.
You stared at the scene. You were a murderer.
You left her apartment instantly. Not looking back to see if she was alive, you just left. You couldn't be in the same room with the person you loved so much at one point. You took her fucking life.
You got the urge to dye your hair after you killed her. Her hair looked so pretty red, but yours looked better.
You were a new person now. With new confidence, looks and energy.
maybe she didn't die in vain.
The next month after Ellie's murder, it was all peaceful. No more calls, texts, or insults.
You were free. You weren't her toy anymore.
You were a new person, it's all thanks to the girl who hurt you so much.
ultraviolence by Lana del Rey with toxic/mean/abusive!ellie who hurts reader x painslut reader who kinda loves it
Ultraviolence - (ellie williams x reader)
hi anon! I'm sorry this took so long, its been a while since I've written something like this, so it took me a while to get into that mindset. I hope you enjoy<3
This story is based off the song, Ultraviolence by the queen Lana Del Ray, if you can please listen to the song as you're reading:)
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
requests are always open, feel free to leave one:)
Warnings: toxic relationships, manipulation, cheating, reader is toxic
Summary: In which she became the person, you've always wanted
Authors note: wheeeew its been a while since I've written a fic that wasn't hcs, but I'm glad to be back!
He used to call me DN
That stood for deadly nightshade
'Cause I was filled with poison
But blessed with beauty and rage
Jim told me that
He hit me and it felt like a kiss
Jim brought me back
Reminded me of when we were kids
there was always something about Ellie.
You weren't sure if it was her dorky personality, or how she would apologize to table if she accidentally walked into it.
There was something about this girl.
And ever since you were a little girl, you knew you knw she was special. You felt like she was holding back. There was another side, you wanted to see.
You were both 7. You remembered watching Ellie, better known as four eyes because she wore massive glasses, sit alone once again. You remembered walking up to her, and asking her to play tag with you.
You still remembered the smile that spread across her face, because finally someone wanted to play with her. And since then Ellie has just always been there.
The two of you became friends. You aren't sure how, but she was always there.
You were Ellie's everything, because you were there for her during her loneliest years.
You knew how much you meant to her. You knew how much she loved you, and you took advantage of that.
Ellie's innocence and purity was something that intrigued you. You truly thought she was odd. No matter how old the two of you were, you always saw her as four eyes.
Nothing more than that. There was no romantic feelings from your side.
Ellie was everything you weren't.
She was sweet, kind, loveable.
But you were sick. A sick twisted individual who took advantage, of someone like Ellie.
But who could blame you?
Ellie was attractive, strong, financially stable, and well you were someone who saw the opportunity.
So it was actually Ellies fault.
She should've not trusted you so easily. She should've not let you in. Ellie brought this upon herself.
With his ultraviolence
Ultraviolence
Ultraviolence
Ultraviolence
I can hear sirens, sirens
He hit me and it felt like a kiss
I can hear violins, violins
Give me all of that ultraviolence
you didn't know when it all started.
You weren't sure when you developed this "kink".
Was this a disease? Or were you just fucking weird?
In 11th grade you remember your teaching yelling at you for failing a another test. You were called "pathetic", a "failure".
Most people would cry due to humiliation, but you couldn't help but feel your thighs clench together.
You thought you were weird. This was fucking sick honestly.
You went out of your way to make people mad, so that they would yell at you. To degrade you to an extent.
god you loved it.
Ellie had asked you to be her girlfriend when the two of you were 18. You took pity on her.
She was so soft. So naïve.
Ellie had no place being with someone like you. Someone who craves to be hurt. You were a painslut and Ellie, poor Ellie wasn't. She wouldn't be able to do that to you.
You were trapped in a relationship, where it was healthy. It felt safe. You enjoyed it sometimes, but there was one thing your heart craved. And maybe the thing Ellie was holding back was it.
You wanted to leave Ellie, until that one night.
The two of you were at a party, and Ellie was drunk out of her mind. You don't even know what she saw, or who said what but she was really fucking mad.
"You're fucking cheating on me bitch" Ellie slurred as she pointed her finger at you. You licked your lips at the insult, at the aggression, she spoke.
Focus.
"Ellie you're drunk, i didn't do anything"
"give me your phone"
"Ellie-"
"I'm not asking again" she yelled.
Fuck yes. This is what you want.
You handed her the phone, and you watched as she searched and she found nothing. She threw your phone across the room, you flinched slightly.
god she's so hot.
Ellie got up and grabbed your arm, bringing you close to her face, you smelt the alcohol in her breath.
She looked at you with dark eyes, before uttering "Don't ever think of cheating on me" she let go of your arm.
She grabbed you and it felt like a kiss.
When Ellie woke up the next morning, she couldn't remember a thing.
She was back to being herself. You wanted her back. You needed her again.
You realized, she was drunk. You couldn't keep her under the influence forever, just because you liked that version of her.
After that night you knew she was hiding a part of herself from you.
Drunk words are sober thoughts they say.
So maybe deep down she was actually toxic. Maybe she was the person you craved.
All you had to do was to figure out, how to get through to her.
He used to call me poison
Like I was poison ivy
I could've died right then
'Cause he was right beside me
Jim raised me up
He hurt me but it felt like true love
Jim taught me that
Loving him was never enough
you were like poison.
Destroying anything in your path. Infecting those with your poison.
After that night you realized Ellie's biggest insecurity was that you would leave her. And you used it to your advantage.
Of course you had to, how else would've you got what you wanted?
You would flirt with other people in front of her. You would talk to other girls, send them pictures. You did whatever it took. You were practically cheating on her.
You knew she would never leave you.
And you watched as Ellie slowly disintegrate into madness.
There was no more happy, go lucky Ellie. There was no more smiles. No more care free days.
Ellie lived in fear. You were out of her league. She knew she was going to lose you.
If you were by her side and Ellie could die peacefully. You taught her how to love and how to be a better person.
If you left what would become of her?
Everything went down hill. Ellie started taking your phone. She became more aggressive with her words.
The lovely girl you once knew was gone. You killed the old her. And the person she was becoming was someone you've always dreamed of.
You had a curfew, and when you came home late it would end in her insulting you.
"Who else are you fucking huh? You're practically showing the world your whole body"
you lived a life of fights, make up sex, and jealousy.
You loved every fucking second of it.
She was hurting you and it felt like true love.
I love you the first time
I love you the last time
Yo soy la princesa, comprende mis white lines
'Cause I'm your jazz singer
And you're my cult leader
I love you forever
I love you forever
Ellie loved you, and you loved her.
You love her today, tomorrow and for the rest of your lives.
Ellie became the women you would choose in every lifetime.
Ellie was your leader. The person you would finally follow.
You love Ellie. You'd love her for eternity.
It was truly a sickining thing, you were doing to the poor girl, but God you were selfish. You wanted it all. All the insults, pain, negativity. You craved it.
For the sake of this relationship, you hoped Ellie stayed as toxic as she did.
Your last band Ellie fic was tooo good can you do rockstar Ellie with karma by raue
Karma - (ellie williams x reader)
Hi anon thanks for the compliment! firstly this song fucking slaps??? hello???? off topic but rockstar Ellie would be so hot too, like??? I hope you enjoy <3
This story is based off the song Karma by Raue, if you can please listen to the song as you're reading! This song is about betrayal, so I did not follow the lyric 100% but the overall message is the same:)
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
requests are always open, feel free to leave one:)
Warnings: betrayal
Summary: In which you were her downfall
Authors note: It took be fucking forever to get this out because tumblr was not posting my shit but here it finally is! Remember you are loved an to always be kind <3
Ellie groaned as she saw the pictures of you and Abby Anderson.
Take your time
Do you remember all the things you said
Before I took what’s mine
Fear grows with time
It’s hard to believe all the things you did
While blurring out the line
Out of all the people Abby fucking Anderson. Her biggest rival.
"It'll make you feel worse if you keep looking at it" she heard Jesse talk from behind her.
All Ellie could do was throw her phone to the side.
"I know this I hard" Jesse started but before he could finish there was a knock on her dressing room door.
"Are you naked Williams?" she heard Dina yell from the other side.
"It's time for makeup"
"Yeah, yeah let her come in" Ellie sighed.
She heard Jesse chucked before she saw him get up.
"Try to forget about her, ok?" was all he said before he walked out.
Ellie looked at her self in the mirror for a while. She couldn't even recognize herself anymore. She went from a sweet an innocent girl to almost every parents nightmare.
She was covered in tattoos, her lips and tongue pierced. Once she had long hair, but it was cut short. She wore a black wife beater with a leather jacket and tight leather pants. Her neck was decorated with tattoos and chains.
Maybe getting all these tattoos was a good idea, it made her look cooler. It goes with her image.
Joel says it was a bad idea, that she would regret it one day. But she looks so fucking badass she tends to ignore his complaints.
The door soon opened and Dina walked in with her make up kit, practically running to Ellie.
"Fuck, fuck I'm late! I'm late! Maria's gonna kill me"
"Dina chill it's only some eyeliner"
"and foundation" she yelled dramatically as she zipped open her bag and started drawing Ellie's eyeliner on.
It was quiet, peaceful.
Too quiet for a rock show.
In the past Ellie performed in front of millions. She remembered how she almost went deaf because of how loud the crowd was screaming for her.
There were times she couldn't even walk in public alone without hundreds of people running after her. People begged her online to sell her used underwear at some point.
Ellie dominated the music industry with her unique rock style and unique lyrics.
She was a legend.
But now she was a nothing.
No one knew of the famous Ellie Williams anymore.
And it was all your fucking fault. You took that away from her.
The peaceful environment Ellie and Dina sat in was soon disrupted when Maria walked into the room whistling.
Ellie rolled her eyes.
"You look hot" Maria commented as she looked at Ellie through the mirror.
"You did good" Dina she added.
A smile appeared on her face "thank you" she beamed.
"I would've done something better but I was late"
"It's ok… now can you give Ellie and I some time alone"
All Dina did was nod as she started packing up her stuff.
Ellie looked herself in the mirror and she agreed. She looked fucking hot. She hoped that maybe tonight might be her comeback.
She looked good, she felt good and excited. Maybe people would still like her.
Ellie was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard the door close. It was just her and Maria left in the room.
"Ok look, you barley made any sales-"
"you don't think I fucking know that?" Ellie snapped.
"Getting mad at me won't do anything Ellie"
"you're my fucking manager do something!"
Maria sighed.
"Listen Ellie everyone is buying Andersons album-"
"then do something about it! put me on billboards, make my shit cheaper!"
The room was filed with silence, before Ellie spoke up again: "Maria I can't lose my career"
"I can't lose to her and Anderson" Ellie muttered as she looked down to the ground. defeated.
"Ellie you aren't making money anymore, nobody is buying tickets, you can't pay your staff… I think it's time to give up"
Hot tears filled Ellies eyes. She couldn't lose this. Her music was the only thing keeping her sane.
"If it wasn't for your ex girl maybe-"
But before Maria could finish Ellie got up from her chair and she walked towards her.
If looks could kill, Maria would be dead right now.
"Don't you ever talk about her again. She's fucking dead to me" Ellie said through gritted teeth.
Maria took a step back, afraid that Ellie would hit her.
"Ellie it's ok to be mad at her- but you need to stop holding this grudge. It's bad for you and your career"
Ellie looked to floor. Maybe Maria was right.
"Ellie I'm sorry-" she didn't even bother to stay and listen.
"if you stopped thinking about what she did, maybe you'd be able to save your career"
Ellies eyes widened, and her jaw dropped at what Maria said.
All Ellie did was grab her electric guitar and she walked out the room.
What Maria said hurt her. Ellie loved you. She dedicated her career to you and all you did was stab her in the back.
Maria was there when Ellie cried for you. Maria was there when Ellie realized she was losing followers. Maria was there when Abby announced that you had become her manager. Maria was there.
And this is what she had to say?
Fuck her.
"Don't cry. don't cry" Ellie muttered to herself.
It would ruin her make up. It would ruin the night. Maria already ruined it, but this would make it worse.
Ellie slung her guitar over her body, she heard her chains rattle at the sudden movement.
She walked onto the stage.
No screams. There was barley a crowd.
What do you expect if you perform at a rundown bar?
A few claps came from the so called crowd.
Ellie didn't even bother introducing herself, all she did was signal for Jesse to start the music.
As soon as the beat played Ellie felt alive. It felt like she'd she'd dead for years, starved even, now she's alive.
The music awoke something in her.
Ellie smiled, and when she looked at the crowd her smile dropped realizing, no one fucking cared.
She was wasting her talent on idiots. And it was your fault.
"Give it to me; I don’t want it
Give it to me; I won’t make you feel like someone else
Give it to me; I don’t want it
I’ve lost it"
No one in the crowd seemed to care.
She sang the lyrics with passion. With grace and talent.
Maybe she lose her fucking mind to believe that she could still be a rockstar.
It made headlines.
Awake to your mind
It’s hard to believe all the things he did
Before he said who’s right
Awake to the signs
It’s hard to bеlieve all the things hе said
Before he changed his mind
Abby Andersons new rock broke so many records.
It was all over the news.
Ellie didn't know what to feel. Jealous? Angry? Sad?
She knew she couldn't be mad at Abby, it wasn't her fault. It was yours.
You were the one that made her this big.
Ellie knew she couldn't be mad because at some point in her career that was her too.
You brought her that level of fame too, and you brutally took it away
Ellie met you a heavy metal concert one night.
"You like them too?" Ellie asked surprised when she saw a pretty girl like you in such a dark place.
"I'm fucking obsessed with them" you have her a bright smile.
And the rest was history.
You motivated Ellie to start her career. You motived her to continue with her passion for rock music. You helped her express herself.
You saw her talent.
Everything Ellie was, was because of you.
Most of Ellies first songs were love songs that she dedicated to you. She fell in love with you, and she was too afraid to tell you.
Maybe you didn't like her back and you were her manager after all, if she fucked it up, it would be awkward.
With Ellies unique lyrics and style her career quickly took off.
People loved what she put out, and because Ellie was attractive more and more people craved her.
With you by her side, she had more motivation to make music, hoping that you'd realize her feelings, that she had for you and that you'd like her back.
You were a marketing genius, you knew how to get her music out there in creative ways. You knew how to get Ellie's face everywhere.
Thanks to you, there was not one person in Jackson who didn't know who Ellie Williams was.
Interviews, photoshoots, music videos, you arranged everything. You made her famous.
One night you had asked her "who's your songs about? This girl must be stupid not to see that you love her"
Ellie's reply was a kiss. She put so much emotion into that kiss. She hoped you'd feel all her unspoken feelings.
"It's me?" you questions as she pulled away.
"yeah"
The two of you kissed, you spent the night making love, and you kissed once again. With you in her arms Ellie knew what her next song was going to be about.
The next morning when Ellie woke up you weren't there.
You had vanished. She had grabbed her phone seeing that you had blocked her.
What the fuck?
Ellie whet to her room and her music book was gone.
Years worth of music was gone.
You had left her without a manger and without a music book.
Soon after news broke that you were Abby's new manager and her first singles was one of Ellie's songs.
What the actual fuck.
You were using her. You never felt anything for Ellie. Your heart always belonged to Abby and you had promised your girlfriend that you'd make her famous, and you kept that promise.
Look at her.
She was bigger than Ellie Williams.
Abby's whole album was songs that Ellie wrote. For you.
You took her ideas, her fans, her joy, her love, her everything.
Ellie sobbed into her pillow as she saw the pictures of you and Abby. She saw the way Abby's career took off with her music.
Because of you, Ellie was left with nothing.
No music, no you, no fans. All she had was a failing career.
She was left alone and betrayed by the one she loved most
The air is getting crisp fall is coming so a bôa song is definitely needed can you do twilight by them

requests are always open, feel free to leave one!
HUGE Warnings: descriptions of violence, murder, death, gore, sadness, small mention of depression and graves (don't read this if you aren't in the right mental state)
Summary: In which you couldn't win Ellie's heart
Authors note: ladies and ladies, the violence is back! Idk man it's been a while since I've written something like this. Remember you are loved <3
Your word and my word and her word is
Yesterday, today and tomorrow
And twilight gives me, an inner sanctity
And you're feeling, and you're hungry for her
And you don't understand it
But you know you haven't planned it
Your feelings and mine are all lonely
And dawn comes you're there lying with me
And you reach out to touch me, but I am in the twilight
You heard Ellie let out a sigh as she continued venting to you about Dina.
Stupid Dina.
Seems like all Ellie could talk about was her.
Why her? Out of all the people on the fucking planet why did it have to be Dina?
"She said "hey Ellie" and she didn't even smile with me! like what the fuck???" Ellie practically yelled with frustration.
You rolled your eyes at Ellie.
"Ellie calm down maybe she had a bad day"
Ellie stopped pacing around the room to look at you.
"Yeah.... you're right! She doesn't hate me she's just tired" Ellie said with a small smile.
You watched as Ellie lowered herself onto your bed and she looked up at you with a shy smile. She reached out her arms in your direction "cuddle?" she asked softly.
You let out a sigh as got into the bed spooning Ellie. She let out a hum of satisfaction.
"Ellie you need to stop doing this"
"doing what?"
you only shook your head and thought: "making me fall in love with you"
"friends don't cuddle" you brought up.
"Friends do" Ellie argued.
"Dina wouldn't like this" you added.
"well Dina isn't here right now" Ellie spoke matter of factly as she snuggled closer to you.
All you did was sigh as you brought your hand up to scratch Ellie's head. She let out a moan and she closed her eyes.
"You are a great friend, you know that?" Ellie spoke through a yawn.
Yeah, you were a great friend.
Your feelings and mine are all holy but,
You know and I know it's untrue because
When day dawns you're there lying with me
And the dawn can fly away
And you know I love you but you know that
There's nothing you can do about it
Because you love her, and you still want me
If I could be her... but I'm not her and she's not me
And you're somewhere different, on a different planet
You loved Ellie. You loved her a little more than a friend should.
Every time you saw her, your heart raced. She made you feel hot by just giving you a smile. Ellie made you feel things. Things you've never felt before.
You loved her.
But you knew she didn't feel the same.
You lay many nights next to Ellie, listening to her complain about Dina who's oblivious to Ellie's feelings.
It hurt you.
Seeing how Ellie always smiled when Dina walked into a room. Seeing how excited Ellie got, every time Dina said something. Every time Dina complimented Ellie, she almost exploded with joy.
It made you sick.
You tried being Dina.
Maybe Ellie would love you if you were someone else.
Maybe it was the way you did your hair? Was it the way you dressed? Was it the way you looked? What made Dina so special?
You tried cutting your hair the same length as Dina. You started dressing like her. You even copied her stupid music taste.
You tried. You tried so fucking hard.
But you could never be her and Ellie would never see you like that.
You knew Ellie loved you. She wanted you, but not in the same way you wanted her.
You were her best friend.
The girl she could go to with her problems, the girl who would help her with her hair and outfits.
You were nothing more than a friend.
You wanted to be Dina and you prayed to the gods that you could become her. But you didn't. You were nothing more than a friend in Ellie's eyes.
You saw how much Ellie's crush on Dina affected her.
How much it hurt her knowing that Dina most probably doesn't feel the same. And you being the amazing friend that you were, you decided to help Ellie.
You made it your mission to get them together.
Even though it hurt you knowing Ellie would never love you, as long as she was happy, you'd be happy too.
That's how you got yourself in your current position. Sitting across Dina in her apartment.
"So" you stared as you took a sip from the orange juice Dina gave you.
"we need to talk"
"about?"
"Ellie" "What about Ellie? Dina asked confused.
"do you have feelings for her?" you asked.
You watched as Dina burst out laughing, you watched as she threw her head back from laughing.
Anger sparked in you.
Why the fuck was she laughing? What's so fucking funny about liking Ellie?
After a while of Dina laughing, she slowed down breathing heavily before she let out a "Why would I like her? She's weird".
You felt your eye twitch before all hell broke loose.
How dare she say that about Ellie?
Your Ellie?
Ellie loved her so much and this is what Dina had to say?
This was the girl Ellie loved. She didn't deserve Ellie. If only she knew the amount of tears Ellie cried for her.
fucking bitch
You leaped from where you were sitting onto Dina, you straddled her as you punch her over and over again.
"How-"
*punch*
"dare-"
*punch*
"you"
*punch*
You don't even know how long you sat on her, and listened to her beg.
"Please" she whimpered as she tried getting you off her.
You eventually got off her breathing heavily as you looked down at your hands.
Your knuckles were bruised, and your hands covered in blood.
Dina's blood.
You looked over at her, seeing her slowly breathing. She didn't move, she didn't even make a sound.
Maybe she was unconscious.
You couldn't even recognize her with all the blood and bruises.
If Dina woke up, she would call the police. She would tell Ellie. Ellie would hate you.
You couldn't let that happen.
You slowly walked back from Dina, as you heard glass shatter. Your head snapped in the direction of the sound.
You saw pieces of glass scattered everywhere. And your orange juice was all over the floor.
Fuck you wanted to drink that.
You slowly bent down to pick up a shard of glass, and you held in your palm.
You walked towards Dina and you slowly pushed the glass into her trachea. You watched as the blood seeped from the wound.
You took a step back, leaving the glass shard in place. The blood dripped all over her throat and clothes, blood came out of her mouth.
Soon after Dina stopped breathing.
You killed her. You fucking killed someone.
You knew you made the right decision by killing Dina, because now you finally had Ellie to yourself.
And you still want it
The inner sanctity
And it's an evil
But the evil is necessary
And you're still hungry for her
And you still want her loving
But she doesn't love you
You watched as Ellie sat next to Dina's grave. She was sobbing.
Why the fuck was she crying over someone who didn't feel anything for her?
After Dina's death Ellie really struggled. She struggled to accept that the girl she loved wasn't here anymore. And what hurt Ellie the most was that Dina never knew.
Dina never knew the love Ellie had for her.
You watched Ellie spiral. You watched how she suffered.
Your plan was get rid of Dina, not the hurt the girl you loved.
Late at night when Ellie would lay in your arms you would sometimes feel regret for what you did. You didn't know it would affect Ellie the way it did, and you never wanted to hurt her. The guilt you felt soon get's replaced with pride when you realize that you got rid of the girl that was only going to hurt Ellie.
You saved Ellie. You saved her from rejection and embarrassment.
You knew she would get over it eventually.
Ellie's life wouldn't stop because her crush died. At some point she'll just have to accept it and you'll be here waiting for her with open arms.
You quietly walked towards Ellie as she sobbed next to Dina's grave, you raised your right hand putting it on her shoulder.
Ellie looked up at you, and in her eyes you could see how broken she was.
"It's ok Ellie" was all you said before she continued to sob into her hands.
You let out a sigh at the sight.
Months after Dina's death you realized that Ellie wasn't going to forget so easily.
You watched as she printed out pictures of her and Dina, and she placed it all over her apartment. You watched as she went to Dina's grave every week.
You listened to Ellie cry almost every night.
Even though you knew Dina didn't feel anything for her, Ellie still wanted her. Ellie still craved Dina.
Yes, she got affection from you, but you were never going to be enough.
All she wanted was Dina.
And you knew in the years to come Ellie wouldn't be able to move on and forget.
Even though you were there for her through everything. Even though you showed her nothing but love, the only person Ellie ever wanted was Dina.
She wanted Dina's love. Dina's care.
You were nothing but a friend. The realization made you sick.
You did everything for her.
You even killed for her.
But you'll never be Dina.
All you could was comfort her and hope, she'll one day feel the same.
I’d love if you can do window by spill tab she’s so underrated I just love your style so much
Window - (ellie williams x reader)
hi anon! I didn't even know who she was until you requested it! And you're right she is so underrated???? I've been obsessed with this song for a while now lmao... I hope you enjoy it <3
This story is based off the song Window by spill tab, if you can please listen to the song as you're reading <3
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
requests are always open feel free to leave one and I'll take it from there:)
Warnings: reader being called annoying and pathetic and Ellie being a bitch
Summary: In which Ellie Williams made a big mistake
Authors note: maybe I should start posting twice a day??? Because I have so many requests lmao. Remember you are loved and to always be kind
I get used to ignoring
Closing the door and
Opening yours since
You've been clueless and honest
I wouldn't know the
First thing to say to you when you're here
"I love you" the text you sent Ellie read.
You loved her. You truly did. She was and will always be your one and only truly love.
The day you met Ellie, both of you felt an instant connection.
It started with a "hey" at a party and hours later the two of you were found stargazing and talking about anything and everything.
Your relationship with Ellie moved very quickly. Soon after meeting, you started dating and you practically lived with her.
Ellie always loved having you around, she always loved the way you ask her random questions. The way she'd find your hair all around her apartment after you'd gone home. The way you'd leave small trinkets as decorations.
Ellie loved everything about you.
But soon changed one night.
Ellie remembered coming home from work one night. She was exhausted. All Ellie wanted was some peace and quite but soon as she opened her front door she was met with your smiling face.
"Hi babe!" You said happily.
Ellie flinched as you brought her down for a hug.
Peace and quite.
That's all she wanted.
The rest of the night went down with you talking and asking her questions, and then begging her to cuddle.
Ellie looked down at your sleeping face and she realized just how fucking annoying you were.
You never gave her space.
Wherever she looked you were there. Wherever she breathed, you appeared.
All Ellie wanted was space and to be alone.
Ellie felt bad. She felt bad for finding you annoying when you have always been sweet and loving to her.
Out of all the relationships Ellie has been in, the one with you was the most special to her.
She couldn't leave you because she knew deep down she'll never find someone better than you.
Ellie tried ignoring you. Distancing herself from you. But it never worked. You'd always show up with a smile on your face asking what's wrong.
There were pieces of you everywhere in Ellie's apartment so you were never technically gone.
Ellie let out a sigh as she stared at the message you sent.
How does she reply to this?
You were always so genuine. So honest. You loved her but she doesn't feel anything for you anymore.
Should she lie and say she loved you back?
All Ellie did was reply with a heart emoji, and she switched off her phone.
You were clueless. Clueless that the love of your life didn't love you anymore. Clueless that Ellie hated you with everything within her and it made her sick being around you.
What Ellie is doing to you was sick. Staying in a relationship with someone you don't love was wrong. But Ellie didn't know how to leave.
How do you easily leave a 3 year relationship?
And Ellie didn't want to hurt your feelings.
How would she even start the conversation?
"Hey! I think you're annoying, let's break up!"
No. That would be a dick move.
At a point she couldn't get enough of you, now she couldn't stand looking at you.
I'll push away like I did like when I had you clear
It's the crux of the nature to crave what is not near
(I think I'm done)
(I think I'm done)
Having to hold your hand and keep you over the water
(I think I'm done)
(I think I'm done)
Having to hold your hand and keep you over
Ellie had a bad day.
She ran out of gas halfway to work, she spilled her coffee onto herself so she had to drive all the way home to change. She ended up being 3 hours late to work and she got into trouble. Ellie got yelled at, the printer didn't work, she missed her deadline, and she spilled coffee on herself again.
So yeah she had a shitty day.
Ellie sat in her car, with her head against the steering wheel. She let out a loud sigh.
She was so exhausted from today, that she wasn't sure that she could even get out the car.
She let out a groan when she heard her phone ring. Without checking she picked up her phone, and answered: "hello?" With an irritated tone.
"Ellie?" she heard you whimper from the other side.
She rolled her eyes.
You were fucking crying? Again?
"What happened?" she asked.
"Well I had a bad day" you started.
And Ellie lost it.
"You had a bad day? I had a worse one. You are so fucking overdramatic and annoying! Oh my God every time I hear your voice, I want to stab myself so bad "Oh Ellie I had a bad day"" she mimicked you after her rant.
"Well all of us have bad days so, shut the fuck up and grow up" she yelled.
Ellie was heavily breathing at this point. She was tired of looking after you. She was done holding your hand and being nice to you when you were a grown ass women.
She heard you sniffle on the other side of the phone.
"You can't even say anything" Ellie chuckled. "You're so fucking pathetic"
"You're being mean Els"
"I'm being honest"
A few seconds of silence filled the air before Ellie spoke again.
"Look I think we should break up, please come get your things, I'm so tired of this- of us"
"ok" was all you said before you hanged up.
Ellie felt relived. She felt free. She felt like she could think clearly again without you.
A few days later when Ellie got back from work she saw you in her apartment.
It looked empty without all your things. Her apartment didn't look like home anymore.
Ellie awkwardly, stood at the counter as she watched you pack the last box into your car.
You walked over to Ellie not saying a word, you didn't even make eye contact, as you lowered your set of keys into her hands.
Ellie watched as you turned around and walked to your car, not looking back at her.
"Hey! I'm sorry about how things ended" Ellie spoke.
She watched as you stopped and turned around to look at her. With teary eyes you gave her a smile and said "it's ok" And with that you got into your car and you drove away.
All Ellie did was hope that breaking up with you was the right thing to do.
Open up the window by my bed
Hoping you'll come crawling in like back then
Open up a window in my head
I'm hoping you'll infect me like you did back then
Did back then
I'll push away like I did when I had you clear
It's the crux of my nature to crave what is not near
Ellie opened the window and she let out a sigh as she gazed towards the stars.
She felt defeated. Tired. Angry. She felt regret. She felt empty.
Her apartment once filled with color, once filled with you, was empty.
It felt as empty as her heart did when you drove away that day.
She realized in that moment, the moment she saw the way your eyes teared, the way you said "it's ok" with smile, she knew she made a mistake.
Why would you smile with the women that broke your heart?
Ellie had hoped you'd crawl back to her. She'd hope you'd call her and tell her how much you missed her.
But you didn't.
It's been 6 months and you still had her blocked on everything.
Ellie hoped she'd see you again in public, so that she could run to you and say sorry.
But it was as if you had vanished.
They say you miss something when you've lost it and Ellie finally understands. Now that she has lost you, she realized what she had lost.
She'd never find someone so loving, so caring, so kind as you.
Ellie never hated you. She found you annoying but she soon realized that she took her stress and own problems out on you.
You didn't deserve that. You didn't deserve Ellie. You deserve someone better. Someone who could actually communicate with you.
What the two of you had was gone. And there was no what in hell that you'd be able to rekindle.
All Elle could do was look out her window and pray that maybe just maybe you'll come back.
requesting a smut fic with reader x loser!ellie based on in my feelings by Lana del Rey!! And the song being from readers pov
In my feelings - (loser!ellie williams x reader)
hi anon! firstly this is my first time writing smut, so I'm sorry if it sucks lmao:) and also Lana Del Rey fucking slaps, I hope you enjoy<3
This story is based off the song in my feelings by Lana Del Rey, if you can please listen to the song as you're reading:)
(I had to rewrite this twice because every time I wrote it according to the lyrics I always ended up with a angst fic, so this is just a smut piece. There are references to the song in the story.)
Pairing- loser!ellie x fem!reader
requests are always open, feel free to leave one or just send me a song and I'll take it from there:)
Warnings: MDNI 18+, smut, fingering (r receiving), oral (r receiving), porn no plot, inexperienced Ellie, cigarettes, sex, domish reader, this sucks, lmk if I missed anything!
Summary: In which you showed a loser, a great time
You brought the cigarette to your lips as you inhaled the smoke, your head rolled back as you blew it out from your lips.
You looked up and saw Ellie staring at you like a lost puppy.
"Have you ever done this before?" you asked her as you took another puff from your cigarette.
You watched as she shyly looked to the ground.
"Open your mouth and answer me Ellie" you demanded enjoying how easily you could make her nervous.
"n-no ma'am" she stuttered.
You chucked as you put out your cigarette on the ash tray beside you. Ellie watched your fingers as you lowered the cigarette, how delicate they looked, she wondered what they would feel like.
Ellie was snapped from her thoughts when she heard your voice.
"Come here"
You watched as she blinked a couple of times.
"Do I need to repeat myself?"
"no sorry" she mumbled and she made made her away towards you.
"Crawl"
"what?" Ellie looked at you with wide eyes.
She looked so fucking innocent. So pure. It turned you on so much knowing that you had the ability to destroy her.
"Get on the floor and crawl to me"
You sat back on the couch, you slightly opened your legs revealing the pink lace underwear you wore underneath your skirt.
"I can see your underwear" Ellie pointed out. She was trying to be respectful, but she couldn't take her eyes away from your clothed cunt.
"do you like it?" you asked.
A pink shade appeared on her cheeks as she looked down to her shoes. She let out a hum of agreement.
Yeah she did like it.
She wanted to see more.
"Come on Ellie get on your knees"
You watched as she fell to her knees, crawling to you like a dog. A smile appeared on your face as you watched the mighty Ellie Williams crawl towards you.
No one else but you.
Ellie sat directly in front of you staring at your pretty face waiting for her next instruction.
You opened up your legs, your lace panties practically see through at this point from how wet you were. You heard Ellie whimper as the sight.
"So pretty" she mumbled.
"wait till you see what's underneath" You spoke with a grin.
"Touch me Ellie"
Her hands immediately went to your underwear. She gently started rubbing you through your underwear.
Ellie watched as the damp spot on your underwear grow, and she felt her own arousal, her panties were so fucking wet and her thighs were slick with her own arousal.
You let out a soft moan as you felt her rub soft, slow and gentle circles. She leaned forward to leave a soft kiss on the clothed area.
Your body shuddered at the feeling.
Ellie started slowly making out with your clothed cunt, she just wanted a taste, but the stupid piece of fabric was in her way, it wasn't only making Ellie mad it was frustrating you too.
It was good but it wasn't enough to make you cum.
"Get up"
"what?" Ellie asked confused.
"Just get up"
She stood up in an instant watching you grab your phone.
You played in my feelings by Lana Del Rey as you lit another cigarette. You took another puff before slowly swaying your hips to the music.
"I'm smoking while I'm runnin' on my treadmill
But I'm cutting up roses
Could it be that I fell for another loser"
you sang as you continued to breathe in the smoke. You slowly started stripping, removing your shit, you briefly made eye contact with Ellie before her eyes fell to your chest.
You were wearing a matching pink lace bra, and Ellie felt herself dripping.
You slowly put the cigarette between your lips as you unclasped your bra. The piece of fabric fell to the floor as you heard Ellie out a quite "woah" at the sight of your chest.
Your hands came up to your chest as you took your breast into your palm, you slowly moved your hand up pinching your nipples, your head flew back the sensation.
You let out a moan, as you felt the buds harden under your touch.
Your hips continued to sway as you looked at Ellie and you pulled your skirt and panties off. You bent down, putting out the cigarette as you picked up your panties and you threw it towards her.
Ellie desperately caught it, bringing it to her nose. She breathed in the scent of your juices and she let out a loud moan. You watched as her eyes rolled to the back of her head before she stuffed your panties into her pocket.
"Please- please let me touch you"
You almost moaned at the sound of her begging.
You slowly made your way to the couch as you bent over, raising your ass and cunt into the air.
Easy access
As you were bent over you quickly made the music louder to drown out the sound of what was about to happen.
You looked over your shoulders seeing Ellie stare at you in awe.
What a fucking loser.
You slightly shook your ass.
"Come on Ellie isn't this what you wanted?"
Ellie fell to her knees immediately crawling to you. She faced your cunt she watched your swollen pussy clench around nothing.
You slightly jumped forward with a shocked moan when you felt Ellie lick a long stripe your pussy. Ellie had her eyes closed as she let out a moan.
"So wet" she muttered. After a few seconds of silence and no movement you suddenly felt Ellie's fingers open you up and before you could say anything she inserted her tongue into you.
You let out a moan, and quickly you felt a coil tighten in your stomach.
"fuckkkk... just like that pretty girl" you breathed out in a long moan.
You heard Ellie moan from behind you, and it send vibrations to your cunt. Your mouth fell open at the sensation.
Ellie put two fingers into your cunt as she continued sucking your clit and attacking your sensitive pussy with her tongue.
"Fuck- you're such a fucking loser" Ellie heard you talk above her. "You- you can't even talk to me I public now- now you're e-eating me out like I'm your last meal"
Ellie let out a moan at your words and she felt herself clench, she was going to cum and you didn't even touch her, how pathetic.
Ellie hit that special spot and you let out a high pitched moan.
"Right there baby, please don't stop"
Ellie fingers sped up, her sucking became harsher, and your moans grew louder.
You were close.
You clenched around Ellie's fingers, and she let out a loud moan. The vibrations triggered your orgasm.
You saw white and your whole body felt numb. You didn't feel real, it felt like you were floating- no flying actually. You felt so fucking good.
With heavy breathes, you opened your eyes and you breathed out a quick good girl to Ellie.
You turned around to face her as she lay on the floor, her eyes were closed but she had a huge smile on her face.
"Did you just come?" You asked Ellie as you heavily breathed.
You watched as she opened her eyes and she started at you for a few seconds.
"No"
"are you lying to me Ellie?"
"yeah... that was the hardest I ever came" she admitted.
"Aw poor baby, I didn't didn't touch her and she soaked her panties" you teased.
All Ellie did was look away shyly.
She anxiously played with her fingers. She wanted to ask you something. But she was so fucking terrified.
Maybe she was a fucking loser.
"Can we go again? Ellie asked, looking at you with a fucked out expression. Her lips were slightly swollen and glossy with her saliva and your cum.
Still heavily breathing you gave Ellie a smile.
"let me get a taste of you too pretty girl"
Authors note: well this sucked, I've never written smut and I'm so scared to publish it lmao, also two posts in one day???? wow I'm on another lever. Remember you are loved and to always be kind.
Yours truly,
Zia:)

Hi I’m the person who requested Ellie x read based on Mary - Alex g u don’t have to answer this ask I just forgot to specify in my previous one if u could write it like “Mary” in the song is reader and Ellie is the person who’s singing? Tysm again!!
Mary - (ellie williams x reader)
hi pookie! I did exactly what you asked I just added twist! If you don't like it, just pm me and I'll write you a new story! I hope you enjoy <;33
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
requests are always open, feel free to leave one:) or just send me a song and I'll take it from there. Remember if you want something specific to happen, please indicate it in your request.
Warnings: mental illness, mental hospitals, manhandling and mentions of pills, medication, injections and brief mentions of violence
Summary: In which Ellie wrote you a song.
Mary is the girl that I wanna kiss
She's got big red eyes and big red lips
She's got big sharp teeth and big fat hips
Mary is the girl that I wanna fuck
She's got leather heart and leather gloves
She's the only girl that I wanna love
Ellie has always referred to you as Mary. She never knew your real name.
All the times she'd beg you to answer her you'd simply giggle and say: "it's better being a secret"
You were everything Ellie has always wanted. The girl she was so madly in love with, and she didn't even know your name. You were the only thing keeping her sane at this point.
The night Ellie had met you, you sat alone outside on a bench, singing the nursery rhyme Mary had a little lamb over and over again. And the name Mary just stuck with Ellie since them.
You were her Mary. The only girl that she ever wanted to love.
Ellie liked to imagine that in a perfect world it would just be the two of you.
One where she doesn't have to stay in a mental institution. And where you don't have to sneak in every night.
Ellie was sick and tired if this place and truly doesn't know why Joel would send her here.
The walls were painted white, and all she had in her room was a bed.
"Mary is the girl that I wanna fuck?" You raised your eyebrows slightly at Ellie's vulgar lyrics.
Her cheeks turned a slight shade of pink when you brought it up.
"Yeah" Ellie spoke softly.
"You wanna fuck me?" You asked Ellie with a smile on your face.
"I mean yeah-"
The sound of keys jiggling could be heard from down the hall. Ellie let out as quick gasp at that.
Fuck it must've been time to take her meds.
Ellie watched as you quickly jumped out the window, the paper containing the song Ellie wrote dedicated to you slowly falling to the ground. In an instant Ellie jumped up quickly picking up the paper and she stuffed it into her bra.
The door opened as Ellie casually sat on her bed waiting for the nurse to arrive. Nurse Elizabeth walked in with a huge smile on her face.
Ellie rolled her eyes as the nurse, who walked towards her trying to make small talk.
Who the fuck is this happy while working in mental institution?
Ellie took the pills from the nurses hand before, she put it into her mouth. Ellie drank the water that the nurse gave to her, wishing all of this was over and that you'd just come back.
"Open up" the nurse spoke as she put her finger into Ellies mouth.
The girl gagged slightly as the nurse reached her finger further and further down her throat.
"Sorry" the nurse spoke "I have to make sure you take your meds" she finished as she gave Ellie an empathic smile.
All Ellie did was hum and lay down. The nurse soon left and Ellie heard the door lock.
She sat up immediately spitting out the pills.
"Do they really taste taste bad?" Ellie heard your voice.
"How did you get back here so fast?" she asked.
All you did was give her a wink before you walked towards her, opening your hand.
Ellie stared down confused before she realized that you were looking for the song. She quickly pulled the note from her bra as she handed you the paper.
A smile took over your face as you continued reading the lyrics.
And all Ellie could do was smile and enjoy the final moments she has with you for that day before you would disappear again.
Listen to me, baby, I don't mind
I wanna be with you and waste my time
Give it to me, baby, I feel good
I wanna feel whatever you think I should
Sing it for me, baby, play my song
I wanna hear your daddy singing along
5 more months.
5 more fucking months, Ellie had to be in this fucking hell hole.
As Ellie walked down the hall she gazed into the other people's rooms. There were some really messed up people in here.
Truthfully Ellie doesn't know why she's here. She doesn't deserve it.
She wonders why you were here. She wonders why you only come at night. She wonders why she never sees you when she's with people. She wonders in which room you were staying.
So many questions so little answers.
Today was Wednesday. Which meant that they had a talent show. Every Wednesday all the different wards would come together and each patient could show their talent.
Ellie never participated. She always thought it was cringe and stupid. But today she wanted to do something she wanted to sing you the song she had written for you.
As Ellie sat in the room she watched different patients go up to front to do their thing. Some would sing, some would dance and some would just stand there awkwardly.
When Ellie raised her hand to go next, the nurse called out her patient number as she got up and walked towards the front.
Ellie shakily held the paper as she looked up to the crowd.
She saw you standing at the back, giving her a huge smile and a thumbs up.
God you were beautiful.
She could do this. She was doing this for you.
Ellie closed her eyes as she started singing the song.
She sang about your eyes, and how your lips were painted red with lipstick the night you met. She sang about your hips and how she so badly wanted to hold you. How badly she just wanted a taste.
You were only girl Ellie wanted to spend the rest of life with and yet she didn't even know your name.
But you'll always be her Mary.
As Ellie finished her song, the crowd clapped their hands, and a small smile appeared on Ellies face.
Her smile soon disappeared when she saw you weren't in the crowd anymore.
Where were you? Didn't you like her song? Do you hate her? What happened?
As Ellie was thinking she felt a hand on her shoulder. Ellie turned around, and her eyes met with one the the nurses.
"Doctor Bernard wants to see you"
Mary is the girl that leaves you to rot
She says, "I am real and you are not"
She says, "I am real and you are not"
"Ellie how long have you been seeing this girl?" Doctor Bernard asked her.
"Her name is Mary" she replied not answering his question.
"Mary isn't real"
"she is"
"Ellie you're seeing things" The doctor started. "That's why you're here, that's why you take medicine-"
"no you're lying" Ellie yelled as she got up from her chair. Her arms were quickly grabbed by the staff as they lowered her back down into the chair. The autumn brow haired girl started screaming as she was forced to sit down again.
"She's fucking real" Ellie yelled as she lunged forward, another nurse ran from the side holding an injection to Ellie's throat.
Doctor Bernard raised his hand telling the nurse to move away.
"Ellie calm down so we can talk about this"
Heavy breathes fell from Ellies lips as she looked to the floor, saliva started dripping from her lips. The room felt hot.
"She's real" Ellie breathed almost in tears. Why aren't they listening to her?
"it's ok I believe you"
And as soon as he said that Ellie looked up with her eyes wide.
"You believe me?" She asked in genuine shock.
They always told her she was crazy. They always told her there was something wrong with her, but now he believes her?
Ellie felt relived. She really wasn't crazy.
"I do" he said.
"How did she get in?"
"You won't hurt her if I tell you?" Ellie asked.
Your safety was the most important, Ellie didn't want you to end up in solitary or worse, a higher dose of whatever medication they were giving you.
"I won't he promised, now tell me"
"She comes in through the window"
Ellie watched his facial expression closely. She watched him look up to the staff as he gave them a nod. Ellie felt the nurses holding her, gripping her even stronger.
"what the fuck-" Ellie cried as she felt them hold her harder. Ellie felt a cold metal against her neck as she she screamed.
"you said you believed me!"
She kicked, she cried, she spat and she swore but nothing helped.
Soon the drug kicked in and Ellie felt her whole body go limp. She felt them lower her to the floor and she felt very sleepy.
"You said you believed me" Ellie breathed one more time as she looked at doctor Bernard standing above her.
"Ellie there isn't a window in your room"
Ellie felt tired, it was as if everything around her was slowing down.
"Mary isn't real, she never was"
Ellie opened her mouth to talk but no words came out.
The last thing Ellie heard that day was: "you are real and she is not"
Authors note: this one was quite short but it still fucking hit dude... remember my requests are always open and that you are loved...

Do u think u could write an Ellie x reader story based on the song emily I’m sorry by boygenius TYSMMMMMM I LOVE UR STUFF
Emily I'm sorry - (ellie williams x reader)
hi anon! thank you sm for the compliment and also boygenius supremacy<3
This story is based off the song Emily I'm sorry by boygenius, if you can please listen to the song as you're reading... Also I did something a little different, I took inspiration from the song, so its not 100% based off song lyrics. The over all message of the song and some scenarios is in the story:)
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
Requests are always open feel free to leave one or just send me a song and I'll take it from there:)
Warnings: obsession, stalking, murder, violence, gore, death, toxic relationships
Summary: In which Ellie is fucking crazy
wc: 1.7K
She's asleep in the backseat
Looking peaceful enough to me
But she's waking up inside a dream
Full of screeching tires and fire
We're coming back from where no one lives
Pretty much just veterans
When I pointed out where the North Star is
She called me a fucking liar
Ellie’s grip tightened on the steering wheel. Her knuckles turned white, her shoulders were tense. She stared off into the distance thinking about the situation she found herself in. She started at him through the rear view mirror waiting to see if he would wake up, or if he was dead.
Ellie had been sitting in this abandoned parking lot for hours now. She couldn’t go back to Jackson with Jesse beat up, full of blood and possibly dead. People would ask too many questions. Questions she isn’t ready to answer. She wasn’t ready to face the consequences that were waiting for her back in Jackson.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a groan coming from behind her. Ellie looked over her shoulder and she was met with a bloodied and tied up Jesse looking back at her with tears in his eyes.
The two started at each other in silence for a few seconds. They both waiting for the other one to say something.
And finally, finally Jesse spoke up.
“Please tell me this is a dream” he looked at Ellie eyes wide, filled with tears. Ellie felt the guilt grow in her stomach as she heard Jesse let out a whimper when she didn’t answer his question.
“Please” he asked again “Please tell me this is nightmare”
Ellie let out a shaky breath before she answered him: “no its not”
Jesse let out a loud sob at her words. Ellie turned herself away from the backseat. Her guilt was already eating her alive, but hearing Jesse fucking sob was not making it easier. Ellie’s hands met with the steering wheel again, gripping it with a tightly once again.
Ellie looked over to the passenger seat and a small smile appeared on her face for the first time that day. You always sat there. You would make stupid jokes that would make Ellie smile like an idiot, how you would always pack lunch for her and leave it on the passenger seat and leaving a note saying “your temporary princess”
fuck. She misses you.
“You’re going to kill be aren’t you?” Jesse asked from the backseat.
“Yeah” Ellie sighed “I have to”
“I won’t tell anyone about this and what you did to Dina”
“I don’t believe you”
“Ellie I know what Dina did to your girl wasn’t very nice but that didn’t mean you had to kill her- “
“Dina deserved to die” Ellie replied quickly “you deserve it too” she continued. She looked back at Jesse when he went silent. A grin appeared on Ellie’s face as she turned the key. The car rumbled underneath the two of them as Ellie asked one last question to Jesse:
“should I slit your throat or should I shoot your brains out?”
Emily, I'm sorry I just
Make it up as I go along
And I can feel myself becoming
Someone only you could want
Ellie was sorry. She was sorry that on that one faithful night in October that she let you walk out. If she could go back in time she would. She would’ve stopped you and locked you in her apartment.
And as soon as you walked out that door Ellie didn’t hear from you again.
You and Ellie had met at a park. It was the night Cat broke up with her. Ellie remembers sitting at a bench at 3 in morning just sobbing, but then she heard your voice for the first time.
“Hey” you said softly “I don’t know if you’re drunk or if you got your heart broken but here’s a slice of bread”
Ellie’s brows furrowed and she looked up at you: “why are you giving me one slice of bread?” she asked confused.
“well because if you’re drunk my mom said that a slice of bread will sober you up and if you’re heartbroken then it’s a snack”
Ellie cracked a smile for the first time that night. You don’t even know why you helped her that night.
Sometimes you regret giving her that stupid piece of bread.
Ever since that night you and Ellie practically became best friends. And from best friends the two of you quickly started dating. And you were happy. Both of you were.
Until you noticed Ellie’s obsessive behavior.
Sometimes when you would open the curtains in your apartment you’d see Ellie sitting on that bench staring at your place. There were times you would walk in on Ellie sniffing and sometimes stealing your clothes. You don’t know but somehow Ellie managed to go through every single one of your contacts and calling each of them to ask what their intention with you was.
You couldn’t be with someone tracks your every move, Ellie was suffocating you. And no matter much you loved her, you couldn’t do it anymore. For your own mental health and safety, you decided to leave her.
You left Ellie in October. After dating her for 7 months you couldn’t take it anymore.
Love is a beautiful thing but the longer you stayed with Ellie the more you hated the idea of being in relationship.
And even after leaving Ellie it didn’t stop. In fact, she got even worse.
You wished you never gave that slice of bread.
Headed straight for the concrete
In a nightmare, screaming
Now I'm wide awake, spiraling
And you don't want to talk
Just take me back to Montreal
I'll get a real job, you'll go back to school
We can burn out in the freezing cold
And just get lost
The obsession Ellie had with you was toxic. It was bad for her. It was bad for you.
Drug addicts would do anything just to get money to buy more. Just get a hit. Just like Ellie would do anything to get a glimpse of you.
She followed you around. Wherever you were Ellie was.
It was a normal Tuesday for Ellie. She hid in her car watching your apartment.
She just wanted to see you. She just wanted a little peek. No matter how small, she just wanted to see.
To Ellie’s surprise she saw you dressed up, in a white pencil skirt, with a black cropped top saying I love pussy.
You walked out the house, and Ellie’s immediate instinct was to follow you.
She knew what she was doing was wrong. It was illegal. It goes against her morals but for you she would throw away everything.
You walked into a café and Ellie followed you in, she put on sunglasses and she pulled the hood of hoodie up. Ellie sat directly behind you. She could hear everything. As you sat in the café your friend Dina showed up.
Dina didn’t even say hi. All she did was slap you and accuse you of sleeping with her boyfriend. You didn’t even get a word in. And Dina left.
You went home crying, you sobbed for hours.
How could your best friend accuse you of such a thing?
And Ellie watched you through your window all those nights you cried. The way you beat yourself up over something you didn’t do.
Ellie knows you would never do it.
She’s always with you, she would’ve know if you had slept with Jesse.
Ellie saw how much pain you were in and she hated it. She wanted to comfort you and tell you it’s all going to be ok. But she couldn’t. All she could do, was go to person who caused you all this pain.
She was going to make Dina feel what you were feeling.
Maybe not emotionally. But physically.
Oh, Ellie might as well pay Dina’s boyfriend a visit.
Emily, I'm sorry, baby
You know how I get when I'm wrong
And I can feel myself becoming
Somebody I'm not, I'm not, so
Emily, forgive me, can we
Make it up as we go along?
I'm twenty-seven and I don't know who I am
But I know what I want
Ellie was a bad person.
She realized she was when she put the blade between Dina’s lips and harshly pulling it that it cut her mouth open. Ellie listened to Dina’s screams. She watched Dina cry and beg for her life when Ellie hung her on the roof. She watched Dina vomit when Ellie forced her to eat raw meat.
People shouldn’t do this to other people.
But you were worth it.
Ellie would kill millions of people for you.
She shot Jesse in the head, execution style, as she watched a mixture of brains and blood drip from his skull.
To make things romantic she set them both on fire. They could burn in hell together forever.
Ellie made Dina feel the pain that she put you through. Dina deserved it.
Because of her love for you Ellie became the person she never wanted to be. You made her feel and do things she promised herself she would never do. She was not the sweet girl Joel raised.
It’s all for love. Ellie was doing this all for your love.
Ellie hoped you’d forgive her one day.
She hoped you would come back to her and say I miss you lets fix things.
She wished.
She knows what she wants and she wants you.
She needs you.
She needs you to be happy and safe and that why she killed Dina and Jesse. They threatened your safety. They threatened your happiness.
But little did Ellie know she was the one that sucks the joy out you. And even if she knew she would have not believed you.
Ellie was sorry for scaring you when the two of you were together. She was sorry for the time she almost killed your mom because she got too close to you. She’s sorry that she made multiple accounts on Instagram to tell people to unfollow you. She’s sorry she broke into your home that one night when you took too long to respond.
Her biggest regret was not being sneaky enough.
Emily, I'm sorry
Emily, I'm sorry
I'm sorry
“I’m sorry” Ellie spoke softly as she stood in front of your house.
Ellie doesn’t even know who she’s saying sorry to. To you? For killing your best friends? To Dina? For murdering her? To Jesse? For killing the love of his life or for killing him?
Even though Ellie was saying sorry she didn’t mean it. The guilt she felt when she had Jesse in the car quickly fell away when she realized who she was doing this for.
Dina and Jesse were parasites. They were dirty people who did nothing but hurt other. They deserved to die. She was happy that she killed both of them. She got rid of the people who was hurting you. And she would do it again and again. You didn’t need to know what happened to them.
Ellie raised her hand to knock on your front door. She knocked 3 times before the door opened, and she was met with your sleep filled eyes.
You looked at Ellie taking in her bloody appearance, you gently shook your head before you asked her: “who did you hurt this time?”
“you don’t need to know” Ellie replied quickly as she walked into your house.
You were never getting rid of her. You knew that. You would live the rest of your life being followed by Ellie Williams. You would spend the rest of your life grieving any friendships and relationship you had. Because Ellie was the only one who stayed. Who survived.
You were Ellie’s girl. For the rest of your fucking life.
Authors note: Dude this story would actually have a good part 2 lmao but anyway remember you are loved and to always be kind.

Can you do a fic off the song poison by brent faiyaz
This is my first requested story and it’s based off the song Poison by Brent Faiyaz if you can please listen to the song as you’re reading:)
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
Requests are always open, feel free to leave one or send me a song and I’ll take it from there!
Warnings: sexual themes, there will be mentions of smut and sexy things, mentions of toxic relationships, obsession, cheating and murder, drugs, dismembering of a body and violence
Summary: Ellie knows your relationship is toxic, but she can’t help but go back to you.
Know you ride it right
I might just die tonight
But you know I'm still coming through baby (through baby)
I know it's bad for me
And you know it tastes so sweet
I think I need your abuse baby
A relationship filled with jealousy, possessiveness and obsession isn’t really healthy. And Ellie knew that. And since she was a little girl Ellie decided that she would never be in a toxic relationship.
“as soon as I see some toxic shit happen I’m leaving” she used to say.
But Ellie was a hypocrite. Telling people to leave their toxic situations because it wasn’t healthy, but Ellie herself was in one of the most toxic relationships in the whole of Jackson.
Ellie and y/n started dating exactly two years ago, and from an outsider’s perspective the relationship seemed healthy. Many people would even describe the two as the perfect pair. A couple that was a good example of a healthy relationship, so you could guess everyone’s surprise when the two of you broke up. But in reality no one knew what happened behind closed doors.
Behind closed doors your relationship was anything but healthy. Argument after argument and instead of sorting things out like a normal couple Ellie had you moaning her name, and begging her to give you more. You made each other jealous on purpose, you argued, you fucked and then you pretend like nothing happened. You both manipulated each other. You both hurt each other. But for some reason you stayed together. For two whole years the two of lived a life of jealousy, anger, and sex.
Ellie shouldn’t be here. She shouldn’t be standing outside your house. She should be at home with her fiancé Dina, celebrating their engagement but yet she was at your house. She let out a sigh as she brought up her hand to knock. Ellie waited exactly two minutes -not that she was counting or anything- before you opened up the door. The two of you made eye contact, before you said “what the fuck are you doing here-“ but before you could even finish Ellie walked forward cupping your cheeks, as she brought her lips down to give you a kiss. Instinctively you kissed back, your lips locking with the women that broke your heart. It didn’t take long for Ellie to deepen the kiss. This is what she’s been thing of for the last year since the two of you broke up.
Ellie walked you into the house, without breaking the kiss she closed the door behind you, pushing you against it soon after.
Hesitantly Ellie pulled away from the kiss looking into your eyes, before she could go back to kissing you, you said:
“Ellie go home”
Ellie didn’t say anything, as she run her fingertips over your arm, eyes never leaving your lips
“No”
“Ellie-“ you said, your voice suddenly disappearing as you felt Ellie’s hand dropping lower and lower, getting closer to your core
“Fuck” she breathed “I know I shouldn’t be here but you’re the only one I want”. Looking away from your lips to look you in the eyes “you fucking ruined me but I can’t stay away from you”
“Ellie what about Dina?” you breathed as Ellie brought her lips closer to yours, her hand already working on unbuttoning your jeans.
“Dina isn’t that important right now” she hummed at her own statement, “let me do this one more time before I have to get married”
Ellie looked into your eyes “is that ok with you?” she asked, she needed your consent before she did anything to you. And when you nod your head Ellie had a wicked grin on her face “fuck yeah” she breathed as she locked your lips once more. The kiss was filthy, teeth clashing, spit connecting, Ellie was practically tongue fucking you at that point. Ellie pulled away slowly, a string of spit connecting to the two of you. You gave her a small smile, lips swollen from the fiery kiss you both just shared.
“I’m going to fucking ruin you”
Girl, you do damage to me
You know I love it, yeah I love you
Ain't nothing better for me now
Girl, you do damage to me
You know, I love it, yeah I love you
Ain't nothing better for me now
Than your poison baby
God she would do anything to be with you again. The way you moaned her name, the way you tasted, the way your eyes closed in pleasure, she missed all of that. She’ll forever have the memories of it, and while Dina is asleep she touches herself because you were her girl. And she needed to have you. She needed to hear you chant her name over and over again. She needed to wake up, and roll over, to find your naked body laying with her.
Just the thought of you already had an effect on her, Ellie let out a quite fuck as she got out of bed, trying not to wake Dina up. She walked to the bathroom, quietly closing the door, hand immediately reaching into her boxers to sort herself out. Now Ellie knew what people with drug addictions meant when they said they can’t quit or leave the drugs behind.
Dina would never be you, Dina will never sound like you, or taste like you. And fuck Ellie doesn’t know how she’ll get married to Dina without thinking of you. Most of the times, to make sex with the poor girl bearable she would imagine it’s you laying there, gripping her hair and crying for Ellie. But every time she opened her eyes she was always met with disappointment. Dina. It’s not you. Its fucking Dina.
Ellie would do anything for you. She would die for you. She would kill for you. But after spending that one night with you, Ellie realized she would much rather die than marry Dina. She had to think of something before she got married to her. Ellie wants you. And she didn’t want to ruin her reputation and leave Dina, no- she needed to think of something else.
Ellie knows there was someone out there for her. Someone she could share a healthy relationship with, but she doesn’t give two fucks. You were dirty, manipulative, and so fucking toxic but you tasted so good. You were like a weed that hurts and poisons everything around them, but Ellie doesn’t fucking care.
Your poison has seeped into her veins, and damaged her beyond repair. And you knew what you were doing, she could tell. At times Ellie wonders who else fell victim to you and your poison, but she tried not to think about it too often. Because she wants to be your one and only. She would kill anyone, who even looks at you if she had the chance. But you weren’t hers anymore. And she wasn’t yours anymore.
Ellie soon reached her release, and she quickly washed her hands, deciding to let her hands air dry. As she walked out of the bathroom, she saw Dina lay there, sleeping peacefully. And blissfully unaware that she wouldn’t wake up the next day.
Mh-mh-mh-mh, oh
Angel of the night
Drown between your thighs
I'm still here, ain't no excuse baby (excuse baby)
“Ellie” you moaned her name like a mantra. Like it was the only word you knew, and Ellie felt her chest fill with pride as she continued fucking her fingers into you.
“Yeah, you like that?” she breathed needing more confirmation from you, and you just let out a pornographic moan and just by the sound of your moan Ellie knew she was doing good.
Ellie killed Dina that night. Grabbing her hunting knife and slitting Dina’s throat as she was sleeping. Dina opened her eyes grabbing onto Ellie’s arm mouthing words. No sound came from her mouth but her lips were moving. Ellie watched as Dina slowly bled, the blood dripping onto her bed.
“Why aren’t you fucking dying?” Ellie asked aloud out of frustration, when she saw Dina’s eyes still moving. She hopped onto the bed straddling Dina, stabbing her in the chest over and over again. Ellie blacked out at some point imagining you telling her how proud you were of her for doing this. For you. Ellie was doing this with you to be with you again.
Soon after Ellie killed Dina she hoped into the shower, leaving Dina’s body there, and she went to you. The only person she truly found comfort in.
And that were she was right now, fucking her ex-girlfriend after she killed her fiancé. Ellie couldn’t be happier, she was with you again, she was between your thighs doing what she loved the most. And this time Ellie doesn’t have to worry about going home to Dina. Now she can finally plan on getting back together with you. She would ask you out in a romantic way, but first she had to sort out her little Dina problem.
As soon as you fell asleep Ellie, slipped out of the room going back to her and Dina’s house. Ellie didn’t even flinch at the scene before her. She effortlessly lifted Dina’s body off the bed groaning when she realized she needed to get new bedding after this.
She put Dina’s body into the bathtub as she started dismembering the body. Cutting off piece by piece, Ellie sighed at the amount of work she still had left. Dismembering a human is similar to an animal. Ellie was thankful that Joel taught her how to cut animals up, otherwise she wouldn’t have been able to get rid of Dina.
When Ellie was eventually done she put Dina’s limbs into a freezer, deciding that the best way to dump Dina’s body, would be next time she was on patrol. Ellie cleaned the bedroom and the bathroom, and when she finally finished she had a small smile on her lips.
She was free. No more Dina. Now she could finally focus on you.
I see you in my sleep
I'm scarred beyond belief
Ain't nothing you can't make me do, baby (do baby)
Ellie had to act as a girl that was grieving. Her story was that she and Dina had an argument and Dina just left and never came back. And everyone believed it it. On the outside Ellie had to force herself to cry and to be sad, but on the inside she was celebrating that Dina was gone.
Every time she enters her room, she can’t help but smile, remembering the moment she killed Dina. She was happy. But she was even happier that you came over and told her everything was going to be ok.
Nobody needed to know, what happened to Dina. Nobody needed to know that it was Ellie who got rid of her. Nobody even suspected that Dina died.
Ellie doesn’t care how long she needs to play as this grieving women, that lost “the love of her life” because you would come around and comfort her. And you would cook for her. You’re taking care of her. Just like she always wanted. You were like her little housewife.
If Ellie could she would go back in time and she would kill Dina all over again. There was nothing you would say that she won’t do. Yes, you didn’t tell her to kill Dina but Ellie assumed that’s what you would have wanted from her. Remembering a time that you said “If you end up with anybody else I’ll fucking kill them. You only need me. You’re fucking worthless without me” And Ellie didn’t want you to get your hands dirty to kill Dina so she did it for you. At the time she didn’t believe it when you said she was worthless without you, but you were right. You were always right. She was worthless, useless without you. She really needed you to live happily.
Anything it takes. No matter how messy the situation got. Anything for you.
Girl, you do damage to me
But I love it babe
Oh, you're poisonous baby (oh-oh)
Now Ellie lay next to you. Enjoying the comfort, you gave her as she still continued to be “sad” about Dina.
Ellie knew her obsession was bad. She knew her behavior was not healthy. She knew she had to stop before she killed someone else. But it was you. Who wouldn’t be obsessed with someone like you?
You poisoned Ellie, you broke her, but she really doesn’t care. As long as she’s with you, she doesn’t feel the damage your poison brings her.
Authors note: Thank you to whoever requested this! Remember my requests are always open, feel free to leave one! Remember you are loved, and to be kind with everyone

This story is based off the song Nobody by Mitski! If you can, please listen to the song as you're reading:)
Pairing: Jackson!ellie x fem!reader (This story takes place after Joel died. Basically you take Dina's place, so yes Ellie walked out on you. JJ doesn't exist)
Remember requests are always open, feel free to leave one! Or you can just send me a song and I'll take it from there!
Warnings: mentions of death, and a brief mention of violence
Summary: Ellie's biggest fear becomes a reality...
(I deeply apologize for the ending....)
My God, I'm so lonely
So I open the window
To hear sounds of people
To hear sounds of people
Ellie sighed as she opened her bedroom window. As she opened the window she was met with a cool breeze against her pale skin. She heard sounds. The sounds of people talking. The sounds of horses. The sounds of laughter, something she hasn’t done in a while.
After Ellie attempted to kill Abby, she returned back to the farm house in hopes that you were still there. She already lost Joel, she couldn’t lose you too. She knew leaving you to find some random blonde was selfish. She knew the second she walked out of that house she made a big mistake. But never in a million years did she think you would leave.
When Ellie arrived back at the farm house it was empty. Cold. The life that the two of you had built was there no more. The house was as empty and lonely as the day the two of you stumbled upon it. All your belongings were gone. Any trace of your existence was gone. It was like you never existed.
Ellie tried, she really tried living alone. But her thoughts consumed her, every single day her mind was filled with regret. Retting the fact that she didn’t kill Abby. Regretting the fact that she left you.
If she could go back in time she could protect Joel, she could make sure he didn’t die and none of this were to happen. Everything would have been ok.
So Ellie made the wise decision to back to Jackson.
It was a quite road. Ellie was alone on that journey. And when she arrived to Jackson everyone was happy to see her but Ellie didn’t care about them. Because they weren’t you. They weren’t Abby. They weren’t Joel.
As much as Maria and Tommy tried Ellie isolated herself. Ellie was lonely. She was consumed by anger, guilt. Regret. Ellie was filled with hate. She lost herself.
Ellie knew isolating herself was a bad idea but she did it because nobody would understand what she felt like. There was nobody apart from you and Joel that understood her, and you were both gone.
And now here Ellie sat. Looking out a window, listening to the sounds of people, trying to listen to anything else but the voices in her head.
Venus, planet of love
Was destroyed by global warming
Did its people want too much, too?
Did its people want too much?
And I don't want your pity
I just want somebody near me
Guess I'm a coward
I just want to feel alright
Ellie hated it when people sympathized with her. She remembers the first few days after Joel's passing, the way people were trying to comfort her pissed her off. Every time someone said stay strong, or he's in a better place, Ellie wanted nothing more but to grab her knife, and plunge it deeply into their throats. The only persons comfort she looked for was yours.
The weeks after Joel died, Ellie remembers all the nights she spent at your house sobbing. The nights you held her and sang her to sleep. The way you would never judge her, when she showed up at 3am . You were loving. Caring. Soft. Too pure for this fucked up world. Too pure for someone as fucked up as she was.
Right now in this moment, as she sat at the window she couldn't help but miss your comfort. The way your skin felt against hers. The way you could easily bring a smile to her lips.
The same way people destroyed the planet by killing each other during the apocalypse, the same way Ellie destroyed, your relationship. The way world went to shit in one day, the same way your relationship went to shit in one night. The same way she decided to destroy her relationship with Joel because she was mad.
She lets her anger get the best of her. she let her dark thoughts consume her, control her. She went from a women who had everything, to the women who had nothing.
All Ellie wanted was 5 more minutes with you. She just wanted to feel your touch again. She wanted you to tell her that was going to be ok.
Ellie just wanted to feel ok...
And for her to feel ok, she needed you
Nobody, nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody
Ooh, nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody, nobody (nobody)
(Nobody, nobody)
Nobody, nobody
Nobody, nobody, no
"When can I see her?" Ellie asked
"You know you can't" Maria said
"Please just let me see her, its been months Maria" Ellie spoke up, looking at Maria with pleading eyes, voice laced with frustration.
Maria stared at Ellie, eyes wide.
"What?" Ellie questioned
"Ellie are you sure you don’t remember what happened between you and y/n…"
Ellie quickly shook her head confused
"Ellie you killed her"
Silence filled the room as the words fell from Maria's lips.
"I killed her" Ellie whispered "no I didn’t"
"Ellie-"
"No Maria don’t lie, she's ok, she's fine, she has to be" Ellie said trying to convince herself that what Maria was saying isn’t true. It can't be true.
Loud sobs echoed through the room as Maria slowly walked out to give Ellie the space she needs to process the news.
And like a wave crashes on a shore, the memories came crashing back.
Ellie was about to leave Jackson, and you held her hand, eyes filled with tears, you begged her no to leave.
"Ellie please" were the words you muttered over and over again.
Ellie was in auto pilot, as she was getting her horse ready. She completely dissociated from the world around her. She couldn't think. She couldn't feel. The only thing she had left in her mind was getting revenge.
She had to take revenge. Revenge was the only thing on her mind. It has been the only thing on her mind since Joel died. She had to kill them. They hurt her Joel, and she was going to make sure none of them got away with it.
In a moment of rage Ellie grabbed a wooded stick that was used to close the stables and and she hit you with. You let out a terrified scream at the sudden action.
Screams of fear filled the stable. You soon fell to the ground bleeding but Ellie didn't stop. The memory of that blonde hitting Joel was replaying in her mind over and over again. Ellie saw her. The blonde on the floor. She was imagining her.
Blood splattered all over the walls and horses, as she hit you, over and over and over again. At some point you stopped moving you stopped breathing.
You had lost your life the same way Joel lost his. But you weren't killed by a stranger, you were killed by the girl you loved.
Ellies mind was blank as she stared at the body on the floor.
"Ellie" she heard Tommy spoke "what did you do?"
Ellie got up from the body, with no emotion, no remorse. And by looking at her eyes Tommy could tell didn't know what she just did. He wasn't looking at Ellie, he was looking at a monster.
"Y/n and I are leaving now, she's waiting for me at the gates" Ellie spoke quickly, hoping on her horse she rode away, in fear that Tommy might convince her to stay.
The last 5 months Ellie wasn't with you. She was imagining you were there. She was hallucinating. You weren't there anymore, and Ellie's brain blocked out the memory of her murdering you.
You weren't real. You weren't there. You were dead.
And the worst part is, Elie was the one that took your life.
So there Ellie lay. Sobbing. She was alone.
Her biggest fear was to end up alone one day. And look at what has happened.
Her father figure was murdered right before her eyes, and she murdered the love of her life.
Maybe some people deserve to die alone
Authors note: I really hoped you enjoyed this one! I wanted to have a happy ending where they reunite and they live happily ever after, but I realized it would be out of character for me to write a happy story... Remember you are loved and to always be kind to one another! Please leave requests (if you want to obviously) its is always open!
Here's a edit of our wife:
Yours truly,
Zia :)
This story is based off the song Is there someone else? by The Weeknd. If you can please listen to the song while reading:)
(Fun fact I love Abel’s music, I’ve been a XO for years so it’s only fitting for me to use his music, and with that you can expect a lot of stories based off his songs! Anyway let’s get back to the story;) )
Pairing: Jackson!ellie x fem!reader
Requests are always open, feel free to leave one, or just send me a song and I’ll take it from there!
Warnings: mentions of cheating
Summary: All Ellie wanted was for you to forgive her
I know that you're hiding something from me
That's been close to your heart
And I felt it creeping up every day
Baby, right from the start
Ellie sat across you, as she watched your hands fidget. She knew there was something off about you. She knew you were hiding something from her. And if she had to guess by your recent behavior she could tell that it was serious.
You’ve been acting strange for the last few months now. You were distant. Cold. You weren’t that ray of sunshine she fell in love with.
As the days go by Ellie can’t help but feel more and more alone. She didn’t only feel alone, but she became touch starved by the distance you kept from her. You were there but you weren’t. You were hers but you weren’t. You started talking to her less, you stopped any form of physical contact with Ellie. No more hugging, no more cuddling. Nothing.
And in the beginning Ellie was concerned. She thought maybe you were sick, or hurt. But as time went on and you were pulling away from her not just physically but emotionally too- Ellie knew there was something much deeper than a sickness. For weeks she’s searched her brain to try and figure out.
What the hell was wrong with you? How could she help you? Did Ellie do something? Was your behavior her fault? What the fuck is happening to the love of her life?
I know that look you give when we're fighting (fighting)
We're fighting (fighting)
'Cause I used to be the one who was lying (lying)
Oh, lying (lying)
Ellie stared at you, your gaze cold. She looked into your eyes, and normally when she would look at you, your eyes would be filled with love and admiration for Ellie- but all she could see was anger. Hatred. Ellie became sick of your behavior and she decided to confront you. The argument started off simple, with Ellie saying something along the lines of “are you ok? you’ve been acting weird babe. You know you can always talk to me” What was supposed to be a normal conversation escalated very quickly.
“Baby look I don’t want to argue with you- I just need you to be honest with me” Ellie begged. She looked at you with pleading eyes.
You scoffed “as if you have ever been honest with me”
As soon as those words left your lips, tension filled the room. The room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.
One night after a very rough day on patrol, Ellie and Dina went out. After a couple of drinks, the two girls ended up, hooking up in your house. It didn’t take a long time for you to find out. Ellie wasn’t really good at hiding things. And when you found out you were crushed. And Ellie knew she messed up a good thing as soon as she saw the tears fill your eyes as she told you. Ellie was filled with guilt and regret. You almost left Ellie that day. But you didn’t. You stayed. You stayed because you loved her. You gave her a second chance. A chance to prove herself. It was hard for you in the beginning but eventually you and Ellie went back to ‘normal’. But that normal didn’t last very long.
Oh. Now everything made sense. Ellie sat there, mouth agape, at your response. She heard you let out a huff “look Ellie- I love you. But I can’t just forget and move on’’
Before any words could leave Ellie’s mouth you spoke again “I need space, I need someone who won’t do what you did, because if really did love me, you wouldn’t have slept with Dina”
The words rang in Ellie’s ears:
” I need someone who won’t do what you did” You wanted someone else?
“If you really did love me, you wouldn’t have slept with Dina”
Ellie sat there in silence. She watched you pick up a bag walk to the door. “I’m going out don’t wait up” And you left. You didn’t look back. As soon as the door shut Ellie let out a sob. A gut wrenching sob. She knew she made a mistake but she didn’t know that it would lead to this. Ellie loved you. You were her entire world and to hear you say really did love me you wouldn’t have slept with Dina hurts because she loved you. She loved you more than life itself.
The words bounced around in her head over and over again “I need someone who won’t do what you did, because if really did love me, you wouldn’t have slept with Dina”
“I need someone who won’t do what you did, because if really did love me, you wouldn’t have slept with Dina”
Oh (oh), is there someone else or not?
'Cause I wanna keep you close
I don't wanna lose my spot
'Cause I need to know
If you're hurting him, or you're hurting me
If I ain't with you, I don't wanna be
Is there someone else or not?
Ooh, or not
Ellie felt her eyes gloss over as she watched you sit at the end of the bed. She felt her tears run down her face, in an attempt to not look so vulnerable Ellie brought her knees to her chest, and she put her chin on her kneecaps. You weren’t looking at her- fidgeting with your hands.
Ellie knew you were nervous; the fact you aren’t making eyes contact with her was already a sign. Ellie wasn’t sure why she was crying, all you did was walk into the room and you sat down on the bed. But Ellie had a feeling. Her gut was telling her you were going to say something she wouldn’t like. You were there to break her heart. Ellie let a small whimper and turned to look at her. You didn’t reach out to her, like you normally would. You didn’t comfort her. You just looked at her and you said “Ellie now is not the time to cry” Your face was as beautiful as always. You voice calm, while Ellie was wreck across from you.
“Is there someone else?” Ellie whispered. And as soon as those words left her mouth, Ellie could tell by your facial expression there was. There is someone else.
“No” Ellie whispered, frantic as brought her hands over her ears as she let out loud sobs, repeating the words no over and over again. There is someone else.
For how long? Was it a girl or a boy? Ellie was the other women.
Ellie needed to hear the words leave your mouth. She needed you to say yes. She needed to know if she lost her spot. Being the girl you came home to, being the girl you shared your hopes and dreams with. She wanted to be that girl forever, but she isn’t that girl anymore. There was someone else. Ellie needed to know. Ellie didn’t want to be with anyone but you. You were her everything, even the thought of her being with someone disgusts her.
As Ellie sat there rocking back and forth screaming her lungs out, she felt you gently holding her, and shushing her.
“Sh sh sh baby its ok” you said softly. Even with the current situation Ellie immediately leaned into your hold, grabbing onto your t-shirt and sobbing into your arms. You were humming a soft tune, because you knew music always calmed Ellie down. You knew her better than she knew herself.
When Ellie eventually calmed down she pulled away from you slowly, looking at your beautiful face. Your cheeks were slightly wet, from crying as well. Ellie asked the question again:
“Is there someone else?”
And that three letter word let your mouth. Ellie wished you didn’t confirm it. But her question was answered when you let out a simple;
“Yes.”
I don't deserve someone loyal to me
Don't you think I see?
And I don't want to be a prisoner to who I used to be
I swear I changed my ways for the better, the better
'Cause I wanna be with you forever, forever
Ellie was drunk. That night that she hooked up with Dina. She was drunk. Alcohol is not an excuse for cheating, and she knew that but she was drunk. Ellie didn’t think that one drunken mistake would cost her the love of her life.
You were too good for Ellie. Too loving. The things Ellie has done in her life that was disgusting, and cruel. Ellie was heartless. Ellie thought no one could love someone as dirty as she was. But then there was you. You loved Ellie for who she was, and now because she was drunk she lost you. The only person other than Joel that mattered to her. Ellie didn’t deserve you. She didn’t deserve someone as loyal and loving like you were. And even when you gave her that second chance she knew she didn’t deserve it. She deserved you leaving her. She deserved you getting with someone else. Ellie tried changing her ways, because she wanted to be with you forever. Till she took he last breathe she wanted to be with you.
In the months after you and Ellie broke up, she tried proving to you that she was a good person. Even when you broken up she tried. When you had announced this someone else you were seeing was your girlfriend it ruined Ellie. Because she can’t live without you. The fact that you were in a stable relationship with someone that is not her hurts. And even though you had a girlfriend Ellie would still try. She writes you notes, sends you messages through people, pleading that you would give her another chance. Ellie needed you.
But the more Ellie looked at the situation, the more she realized that this was the consequences of her own actions.
Oh, is there someone else or not?
'Cause I wanna keep you close
I don't wanna lose my spot
'Cause I need to know
If you're hurting him, or you're hurting me
If I ain't with you, I don't wanna be
Is there someone else or not?
Ooh, or not
Ellie looked the grin on your face as you walked down the aisle, you looked beautiful in your wedding dress. Ellie dreamed of this day. The day you would walk to her, and get married. And that you would end up her surname.
But now she was a part of the crowd. She watched you walk down the aisle to your girlfriend of 2 years. Her name was Abby. An outsider that joined Jackson in the recent years. You were marrying the women you had left her for.
As the pastor exclaimed you may now kiss the bride, both you and that girl smiled as you leaned in for that kiss. You were married. To someone else. The crowd screamed when your lips locked with hers, and Ellie couldn’t help but let her tear fall at the sight. There was no saving your relationship. It had been almost 3 years since you and Ellie broke up, and she still couldn’t move on. Ellie became a shell of the person she was after you left. Ellie was never the same. And Ellie never will be the same.
Many times Ellie fantasies that Abby was the women that cheated on you. She fantasizes that she was that someone else you left Abby for. But that was not the case.
For the rest of Ellie’s life, she grieved your relationship, while you lived your happily ever after.

Summary: In which Ellie’s “small crush” turned into an obsession.
Ellie’s heartbeat raced, her palms suddenly felt sweaty, she felt dizzy. Her vision focused on the girl she was hopelessly in love with. Every time Ellie saw her, it’s like she falls in love all over again. Her name was y/n. A beautiful y/h/c, she had the prettiest y/e/c Ellie had ever seen. She was perfect in every way. Ellie was one of the many men and women that liked y/n. Why would someone as perfect as y/n ever look at someone like her. An autumn brown haired girl with freckles? You would never look at her. To say Ellie was in love with y/n was an understatement.
Ellie was infatuated with someone she could never have.
﹒ʬʬ﹒⪩⪨﹒⟡﹒ᐢ..ᐢ﹒◖﹒⇅﹒○﹒✿﹒⊹﹒∇﹒✸﹒⟢﹒❀﹒ᵔᴗᵔ﹒♡﹒
Ellie Williams. Many people would describe her as a loner. “She’s a weird kid” someone once said “she doesn’t even interact with any of us. I didn’t even know she existed” and truth be told Ellie was a quite kid. A very quiet kid. She never spoke or interacted with anyone because she can’t stand most people. Due to Ellie’s unusual silence, many rumors were spread of the poor girl. The rumors were people’s way of trying to figure out who Ellie was, Ellie’s favorite rumor about herself was, that she was a mass shooter at her previous school. Today was like no other for Ellie. As she walked down the halls people were staring and whispering. She was used to it at this point. She walked into her first class of the and once again all eyes were on her.
“You’re late again” her teacher grumbled. Ellie rolled her eyes as she walked past her teacher. As she sat down, she flinched a little due to how cold her chair was. Ellie didn’t even take out her school books because she didn’t care. She propped her head up with her right hand- trying not to fall asleep. Ellie soon zoned out staring at the two posters in front of the class. The posters were for the class presidents voting, that was happening in a few days. The only two people left in the running were Abby Anderson and y/n y/l/n. If Ellie had to be honest Abby’s poster looked way more professional yours. She started at your poster that was decorated in pink and purple flowers. There was no way y/n was going to win with a poster looking like that.
“Hey” a voice whispered
“Hey!” the voice said once again.
Ellie turned around slowly, hoping to scare away whoever this person was. And to her surprise her eyes met with y/n.
‘since when does she sit behind me?’ Ellie thought to herself.
“Sorry to bother you, but can I please borrow a pencil? I promise to give it back” she asked in a hushed voice. Normally Ellie would turn around and ignore them, but for some odd reason she bent down to grab her bag and she pulled out a pencil. As Ellie reached out to give you the pencil, her fingertips slightly brushed against yours. As soon as Ellie felt your fingers, the hair at the back of her neck stood up, goosebumps arose on her skin. It felt like her hand was on fire. Ellie’s mouth went dry; her breathing became uneven. She looked up from her hand to meet your eyes. ‘‘Thank you” you said softly. You offered her a small smile “I’ll give it back soon”
Ellie sat in the school bathroom in awe. Even though the bathroom stall was small and it stank, Ellie sat there in awe. y/n. y/n y/l/n touched her hand. For the first time since she’s moved to Jackson, Ellie finally got a good look at you. Ellie saying you were beautiful was an insult. You were more than breathe taking. And your perfume- god your scent was intoxicating. Ellie’s mind was filled with many thoughts as she stared down at her hand. Once again the thought ran through her mind: y/n touched her hand.
Ellie let out a deep sigh as the bell rang. She threw her green and black backpack over her shoulder as she started walking to her class.
“There you are” a voice said, Ellie immediately recognized the voice. y/n. Her y/n. When Ellie turned around she saw you walking towards her. You weren’t walking to anyone else, you were walking to her. As you were walking towards Ellie- as cliché as it sounds- everything around her went silent. She couldn’t focus on anything else but you walking towards her.
“Thanks for the pencil! You saved my life back there!” You said with a laugh
“She has a pretty laugh” Ellie thought to herself. Ellie stared at you with no emotion. She wasn’t trying to scare you away; she was trying to memorize your features. The way your lips curled when you laughed, the was your eyes closed, the way your laugh sounded. Normally Ellie would walk away. But she didn’t. She couldn’t. You said a quick goodbye and walked away. And Ellie stood there in shock. y/n spoke to her. You laughed at her. You touched her hand and you used her pencil.
And in this very moment everything began. The beginning of the end. This was the moment when Ellie Williams became infatuated with y/n y/l/n.
﹒ʬʬ﹒⪩⪨﹒⟡﹒ᐢ..ᐢ﹒◖﹒⇅﹒○﹒✿﹒⊹﹒∇﹒✸﹒⟢﹒❀﹒ᵔᴗᵔ﹒♡﹒
It’s been 3 months since Ellie and y/n interacted for the first time, and Ellie has been smitten ever since. Ellie’s little crush on y/n soon grew out of control. It wasn’t even a crush. It was an obsession. An addiction. Ellie started off small, with quick glances from across the classroom or the cafeteria. Then Ellie memorized her class schedules and followed her to every class to make sure she got there safe. But suddenly everything became worse. Her obsession started to grow. Ellie started following y/n home, breaking into her house, stealing small things, watched her sleep, and stared at her from her window. Ellie became a stalker. In Ellie’s eyes what she was doing wasn’t wrong, because she wasn’t hurting anyone. Ellie saw her behavior as normal. When you’re in love, it makes you do crazy things, right?
Ellie was content with following y/n around until she found out there was another guy inserted in her. Her y/n. Her girl. And Ellie soon realized if she doesn’t do anything shell loose y/n to someone else. She had to get rid of him. Ellie once again sat in the small, stinky bathroom stall and thought of ways she could rid of him. Murder? Ellie could kill him. But what happens if she got caught? If she gets caught shell never be able to see y/n again. She was definitely not going to kill anyone. Her only solution was, was to ask y/n out before anyone else could.
It had been a few days since Ellie decided she would ask y/n out on a date. Ellie planned exactly how she was going to ask you. So when everyone was in class Ellie went to your locker, and left a note saying “meet me on the rooftop at 3 pm”.
Ellie has never been more nervous. She felt nauseous. Her hands were shanking as she stood on the rooftop watching all the students walk home.
“Ellie?” She heard her girl call her.
Ellie took a deep breath as she picked up the flowers she put on the ground. You walked closer to her, and Ellie turned and quickly you the flowers without saying anything. You have her a questioning look, confused on why she just gave you flowers. Before you could ask anything Ellie quickly said the words: “will you go on date with me?” Ellie closed her eyes tightly in fear that you might reject her. Ellie felt your soft hand touch her face, her closed eyes immediately opened and widened at the gesture. And to Ellie’s surprise you said yes.
﹒ʬʬ﹒⪩⪨﹒⟡﹒ᐢ..ᐢ﹒◖﹒⇅﹒○﹒✿﹒⊹﹒∇﹒✸﹒⟢﹒❀﹒ᵔᴗᵔ﹒♡
In all her years of living Ellie never thought she would be sitting across from you. Her girl. The prettiest girl she had ever seen. The love of her life. You wore a pretty pink dress that Ellie had seen in your closet the last time she was there. She has dreamed of seeing you in this dress now you were sitting across from her wearing it, just for her. Ellie was in awe of how beautiful you looked.
Your date went well. You told her things about yourself that she already knew by following you around and by breaking into your house- but you didn’t need to know that. You seemed happy and comfortable around her and that made Ellie happy. She didn’t want you to be scared of her like the others.
And at some point during the date you reached across the table to grab her hand. Ellie was on cloud 9. Butterflies erupted in her stomach. She felt like she was going to pass out. With her palms sweaty, heart racing and high on the scent of your perfume, Ellie got up to pay the bill. Ellie’s plan was to take you on a nice walk through a private park, and she’ll ask you to be her girlfriend. And hopefully you’ll say yes. Ellie prayed to whichever god there was to: please let her say yes.
As Ellie and y/n walked to the park a cool breeze filled the air. y/n let out a shiver, and Ellie immediately took off her jacket and gave it to the girl walking next to her. Even after all y/n’s protests, she finally took the jacket and put it on thanking Ellie for the kind gesture. And a huge grin appeared on Ellie’s face. Her girl was wearing her jacket. When they finally reached the park Ellie realized that her shoe lace was untied. Ellie quickly apologized to her girl, and she bent down to tie it.
Ellie suddenly felt a warm liquid ran down the back of her head. Ellie fell face first into the ground. Her vision was blurry as she tried turning around. The last thing she remembers was your voice saying “its ok Ellie, just close your eyes” and suddenly everything went black.
﹒ʬʬ﹒⪩⪨﹒⟡﹒ᐢ..ᐢ﹒◖﹒⇅﹒○﹒✿﹒⊹﹒∇﹒✸﹒⟢﹒❀﹒ᵔᴗᵔ﹒♡﹒
Despite y/n’s popularity she always felt alone. Yes, she had many friends and yes, she was constantly surrounded by people but she felt alone. But then she met Ellie Williams. Ellie was attractive, no one could argue with that. Ellie was quite, and weird and y/n has heard all the stories that were spoken about Ellie, but she never believed it for one second. But that one faithful day when she borrowed a pencil from Ellie everything changed. You were in love with Ellie even when she didn’t utter one word to you, you were head over heels for this girl.
Y/n knew Ellie followed her home. She knew when Ellie was in her house. When most people would be afraid, y/n loved it. y/n loved it when Ellie was in her house because it felt like Ellie was closer to her. Y/n has never met anyone as dedicated to her as Ellie was. When Ellie finally asked y/n out on a date the girl was over the moon. As she was getting ready for the date, she spoke to the pictures she had of Ellie. Pictures she took of Ellie while Ellie was asleep, and pictures she paid people to take of Ellie. She spoke to the pictures telling them about how bright of a future the two of you had together.
Y/n knew the hold she had over Ellie but she wanted to take it to the next step. She wanted to keep Ellie all to herself. She didn’t want to risk Ellie getting bored of her and finding someone else. y/n already saw the waitress stare at Ellie, and in that moment she knew she had to do something. And that something was capturing Ellie. As Ellie bent down to tie her shoelace, y/n quickly grabbed a rock and hit her over the head, making Ellie fall to the ground.
Now y/n stood across her unconscious body, tied up to a chair in her basement and she couldn’t be happier. Ellie was here, with her. Forever. Ellie. Her Ellie. The love of her life, would stay with her forever.
﹒ʬʬ﹒⪩⪨﹒⟡﹒ᐢ..ᐢ﹒◖﹒⇅﹒○﹒✿﹒⊹﹒∇﹒✸﹒⟢﹒❀﹒ᵔᴗᵔ﹒♡﹒
Ellie stared at the ceiling with a small smile on her face. She had a pounding headache, but she kept on smiling. Ellie first freaked out when she woke up. Being tied up to a chair in a basement with a dim light shining over you wasn’t an ideal situation to wake up to. But after a few minutes she realized in who’s basement she was. y/n’s basement. Ellie was tied up in y/n’s basement. That could only mean one thing. You liked Ellie back. You liked her so much that you kidnapped her and tied her up. She was just as messed up as Ellie was, and Ellie was happy. She was happy that you liked her back. Ellie had somehow managed to untie herself, and she just sat there waiting for you. She waited for her girl to come get her.
It felt like hours went by before Ellie finally heard voices. She frowned when she heard there was someone else with you. The basement door opened and Ellie ran to hide under the stairs. Ellie peaked through the wooden planks as she heard you call out her name softly. Ellie loved it when you said her name.
Before Ellie could reveal herself, she saw a man walk down the stairs to talk with you. Her girl was talking to someone else. Ellie was suddenly filled with a blinding rage, Ellie immediately came out of her hiding spot, she heard you say her name, but she walked straight to the man and tackled him to the ground. As soon as Ellie tackled him she heard her girl let out a scream but she couldn’t stop herself from getting rid of this man. Ellie grabbed a chunk of his hair and hit his head reputably into the floor. Blood splattered everywhere, his brains soon poured out.
The room was filled with Ellie’s grunts, your cries and the sound of bones breaking. When Ellie finally decided she has had enough of beating the man her attention turned to you. Your eyes were puffy and swollen from the screaming and crying. You looked at Ellie fear all over your face and Ellie hated herself for what she was about to do.
“I’m sorry” Ellie whispered as she picked up the chair. She walked over to you.
“Ellie please don’t do this” you begged looking into her eyes.
“I’m not going to kill you baby” she promised “you just have to sleep for a while, while I clean this up, ok?”
Ellie raised the chair over her head and you let out a whimper. She swung the chair at you and filched when your body fell unconscious onto the cold floor. She turned her attention back to the other body on the floor.
“looks I have my work cut out for me” she chuckled as she looked at the blood and brains splattered everywhere. Ellie turned back to you and left a quick kiss to your forehead
“don’t worry baby I’ll be quick”
﹒ʬʬ﹒⪩⪨﹒⟡﹒ᐢ..ᐢ﹒◖﹒⇅﹒○﹒✿﹒⊹﹒∇﹒✸﹒⟢﹒❀﹒ᵔᴗᵔ﹒♡﹒
Ellie looked at herself in the mirror. She was very nervous. She put on her best suit and sprayed on her most expensive perfume. She held the flowers tightly in her hand as she walked over to her bed, where you were laying. Your face was pale, your skin cold to the touch. Your skin was probably this cold because you’ve been dead for a couple of days, but you were still beautiful.
After the incident in the basement, Ellie had actually hit you a little too hard, which had led to your death. And now you lay here, on Ellie’s bed wearing a white dress, and an engagement ring. You were finally hers, and Ellie couldn’t be happier.
Ellie gently placed the flowers on your chest, and she slowly laid next to your dead body. She breathed in the scent of the body wash she used on you, to prepare you for this day. Ellie played with your hair while she thought of everything that happened these last few days. The good memories and the bad. But what ever happened doesn’t matter anymore because she lay next to you. The love of her life. You lay with her and no one else.
And Ellie was ready to join you. She wanted to spend the rest of eternity with you. You’ll be with her forever in the fare life. Your souls will be together forever and always.

This is a happy one! Like i promised in my last post.. speaking of my last post thank you for all the love and support! Anyway lets get back to the story:)
This story is based off the edit below! It popped up on my fyp and i was like "fuck yeah! lemme make this a story"
And it's also heavily inspired by the song All of the girls you've loved before by Taylor Swift! If you can please listen to the song as you're reading:) The story is not based off the full song, only the beginning <3

Remember requests are always open! Feel free to leave one, or you could just send me a song and i'll take it from there
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: none:)
𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: Two lost girls, finally found what they've been looking for in each other
When you think of all the late nights
Lame fights over the phone
Wake up in the mornin' with someone
But feelin' alone
Ellie sighed, slightly rubbing her eyes, as she slowly sat up. She didn't know where she was, and who the hell was laying next to her?
Suddenly all the memories came flooding back to her. Dina broke up with her, Ellie went out to celebrate her new freedom, Ellie saw you for the first time, she got jealous that Dina was dancing with you. Even though Ellie had no clue who you were, she wanted you. She got drunk and she ended up in some random girls bed.
"What a night" Ellie thought to herself. She got out of the bed as quietly as possible- trying not to wake the girl next to her. Ellie let out a soft fuck as her feet touched the cold tiles. She practically ran back to her house, praying that no one saw her.
Ellie hopped in the shower, warm water hit her hair, and she led out a hum out of pleasure as the water dripped down her head. As she squeezed a big gulp of shampoo on her hair, her thoughts went back to you.
Who were you? Why hasn't she seen you before? Why were you dancing with Dina? Did you like girls? Could she have you?
Ellie quickly decided she'll find out who you were. Ellie wanted to, no, needed to have you. You were beautiful. The kind of beautiful that would make any person fall in love with you instantly. The kind of beautiful that would make make thousands of people drool over you. Even if you didn't want Ellie, Ellie just needed to know your name.
A heart is drawn around your name
In someone's handwriting, not mine
We're sneakin' out into town
Holdin' hands, just killin' time
A small smile graced Ellie's face as she wrote in her journal. Your name sat in a corner with a heart around it.
Since that day, Ellie went straight to Maria, immediately asking her a million questions about the new pretty girl. After interrogating Maria, Ellie found out you came a couple of months ago, and that you worked on a farm. To Ellie's frustration, Maria wont tell her anymore things about you. So her only option was to go up to and talk to you.
It was a silly crush. Or it started as a crush, but now it's an obsession. Ellie memorized your routine. She knew what time you came to breakfast, she knew which animals were your favorite. She got to know you, by listing in on your conversations with friends. She knew your favorite color, favorite bands. Ellie knew everything.
"You cant follow her around forever a voice" said from behind Ellie, and she almost pissed herself. Ellie turned around and met eyes with Tommy.
''You like her, don't you?"
"Like is a under statement" Ellie said
"you know, talking to her is easy" another voice said.
"Why the fuck are you talking to my girl" Ellie asked and she made eye contact with Jesse.
"She isn't yours" tommy interrupted
"yet" Ellie said quickly
"Well you better hurry up because you aren't the only one that has eyes for her" Tommy said pointing to where you were standing
Ellies brows furrowed as she took in the sight. You were there talking to some of the new guys that recently joined Jackson. Ellie felt like she could see red. If they were allowed to keep weapons on them, Ellie would've grabbed one of her knives and she would cut off their-
Her thoughts of violence were cut off by Jesse's hand coming into contact with her shoulder, giving her a slight nudge, its now or never he he whispered as the two of them watched you walk over to the farm.
Your past and mine are parallel lines
Stars all aligned and they intertwined
And taught you
The way you call me, "Baby"
Treat me like a lady
All that I can say is
Ellie cringed at the memory of her asking you out.
If started with her following you to the farm. When she eventfully spotted you, Ellie tried her best to act non-chalet, but the universe wasn't on her side, as she was about to introduce herself she fell face first into a bunch of cow shit. She heard you laugh in the distance as you ran to her, asking her is she was ok. Instead of answering your question Ellie just said "my name is Ellie" and she gave you a shy smile as her face was full of shit. You let out a laugh and the rest was history.
Now here Ellie sat in front of you on one knee, holding a ring she spent months looking for.
With tears still streaming down your face you said "who would've thought I would end up with the cow shit girl"
all Ellie let out was a "shut up", as she grabbed your face for a kiss.
All of the girls you loved before (ooh)
Made you the one I've fallen for
Every dead-end street
Led you straight to me
Now you're all I need
I'm so thankful for
All of the girls you loved before
But I love you more
All the girls Ellie loved before, doesn't compare to you. Riley, Kat, Dina, none of them. Ellie thought she would never find love again after everyone of her relationships. She's thankful to all the girls she's been with, that taught her how to do things. That showed her pain. And that taught her love. Now she had you. She's thankful for Dina, and that night in the bar. If Dina wasn't dancing with you Ellie would've never saw you. Ellie thought she would end up alone, but there you were. You were the light in her darkness. And there were no words to describe how happy she was when said yes to her proposal.
She might've loved them before you, but she loves you more.
A grin was plastered on your face as you walked down the isle. Who would've thought you would find love. Who would've thought you'd end up getting married but here you are.
The pastor let a you may now kiss the bride and Ellie leaned in, her warm lips toughing yours. As your lips were locked it felt like there were fireworks exploding inside your stomach. Both you and Ellie smiled into the kiss, and when you both finally pulled away there were huge grins on both your faces. Ellie held your hand into the air as both your family and friends screamed with excitement.
This was the beginning of your fairytale.
Ellie was thankful to all the girls you've loved before because they made you who you are today. Her wife.
The two of you might've had other lovers before each other, but you both loved each other more

𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: mentions of death, suicide, overall depressing themes
𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: What’s the point of living, if you aren’t by her side?
Ellie lay on her back with her eyes closed. The sun shining on her pale and freckled skin. She hummed at the feeling of the grass scraping against her arms. The soft sound of water gushing could be heard from below her, as the two of you lay on a hill, she couldn’t be happier. She was away from Jackson. Away from everything and everyone. And the love of her life lay next to her. Ellie smiled softly just thinking of you. This is what she has always wanted. To be with you, in a beautiful place far away from everything. She loved you more than anything. All Ellie wanted to do is keep you safe, and moving as far away from people and most living things was the best option in her eyes. The safest option. If the two of you were this far away from any infected and people you both would be safe.
Ellie’s thoughts of keeping you safe were interrupted by a soft whisper of her name. She turned her head to look at you, and you were already looking at her. Ellie gave you a soft smile, taking in your features. You’ve been together for years but fuck, you were beautiful. She wasn’t lying when she said you were the prettiest girl she had ever seen. Every time she looked at you, was like she’s seeing you for the first time all over again. She always wondered how she got lucky by getting someone like you. You were way out of her league.
You and Ellie lay there just looking at each other for a while, before you spoke up
“You know, you have to let go of me”
“I can’t”
“Ellie” you said, your tone sounding desperate and frustrated. You sat up and Ellie followed you by sitting up as well, you rubbed your hands across your face and you let out a sigh. Ellie gently put her hand on your shoulder.
“Please” you whispered, voice barley above whisper. “I can’t rest in peace” you continued your sentence
“You aren’t dead” Ellie said quickly
“I am”
“No you’re not” Ellie said loudly, tears running down her face as she got up and looked down at you
You looked up at her and gave her an apologetic smile “Ellie wake up”
“Baby please”
“Ellie wake up’
Ellie sat up in her bed covered in cold sweat and tears. It was dream. A fucking dream. Ellie laid back down with a huff, and turned to your side of the bed. She let out loud broken sobs as she reached out to grab your pillow and she held it to her chest sobbing.
3 months ago you and Ellie had got married. It was a beautiful ceremony, and you both were surrounded by your friends and family. It was everything Ellie dreamed of. Your wedding reminded her of all those wedding magazines she always saw when she was out on runs. She never imagined, that she would ever get married. Until she met you. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with you.
3 days after the wedding tragedy struck. Ellie hated it when you went on patrol, but they were short on people due to both Ellie and Jesse being sick. Ellie had a gut feeling that morning when she woke up. Something was wrong. But she pushed the feeling aside, not wanting to upset herself. Later that day Ellie went to the gates of Jackson to wait for you. She got into her best outfit and used some 22-year-old perfume. The high of being married has not run out yet and she planned to take you out that night. She still couldn’t believe it; you’ve been married for 3 whole days.
As Ellie made her way to the gate, paramedics were running to the gate, and her heart dropped at the sight. She saw people running to you. Your lifeless body laid there. Bruised. Bleeding. It was very obvious you were not breathing. And there was blood everywhere.
Tears fell from her eyes as she reached out to grab you, but Tommy held Ellie back as the paramedics were trying to resuscitate you.
Ellie screamed, she fought Tommy. She did everything to make him let go of her but she couldn’t, his grip was too strong.
Ellie watched as they tried. “Please baby” she begged over and over again. Broken sobs and sentences left her lips. Please just get up. It felt like an eternity, but at some point they stood up. The paramedics gave Ellie an apologetic smile and apologized saying there was nothing they could do to save you. As soon as they said that Ellie’s world came crashing down.
As the months went by, Ellie lost herself. She doesn’t eat she doesn’t sleep. She can’t do anything but cry. She had no purpose. No one to look after. She felt worthless. Lonely. She felt lost without you. She was not going to move on. You were the only one for her. Ellie slowly walked to the bathroom, pained by all the memories this house has of you. Ellie didn’t want to live without you. There was no point.
Ellie spent that day with her family. And she was happy. Content. She made a choice. And she was happy with her decision. As she bid her goodbyes, the Millers watched her walk home.
“Don’t you think she was a little too happy?” Joel asked concerned about Ellie’s behavior.
“No, I don’t think so” Maria commented
“Just be happy for her she’s healing” she added
Joel just nodded Maria’s words. There was definitely something wrong with Ellie.
Ellie laid on her side of the bed holding your pillow. She smiled at a picture of you, that was on the wall. Ellie’s eyes drifted from the photo, to an empty pill bottle.
“I’ll join you soon baby” she whispered.
“Not even death can separate us”
And those were the last words Ellie Williams ever said.
Her body was found two days later. As sad as it was, Joel knew how much she loved you. He knew she wouldn’t be able to live without you. All Joel hopes, is that if there is a god out there, that he put you two together. That you and Ellie spent eternity together. Because that’s all Ellie wanted. Ellie wanted to be with you forever. No matter who or what it takes, no matter who she had to hurt, she was going to be with you forever.

Ellie sat across you, as you took the blunt between your fingers. You brought it up to your lips, as you took a deep breathe. As you breathed in, you closed your eyes as the smoke filled your lungs. Slowly breathing out, you already started to feel fuzzy.
It was Ellie's favorite time of the day. It was night time. There was barley any light in the room where you and Ellie sat- it was only the moonlight shining in from the windows.
Ellie couldn't help but to stare at you in awe. Your lips slightly swollen, you eyes closed, head thrown back- and the moonlight shining across your features made it 10 times better.
You were dressed up. Wearing a blue flowy summer dress. You had planned on going out that night, but then Ellie showed up and begged you to go smoking with her, and you said yes because who wouldn't? its Ellie fucking Williams.
You being dressed up, and under the moonlight, had Ellie going feral. She wanted nothing more but to get up and rip your clothes off of you. But she didn't. She couldn't. Because you weren't hers.
You suddenly opened your eyes, and Ellie started blushing- in fear that you might have caught her staring. You sat up slightly giving her the blunt.
"here" you said softly and Ellie just knew by the sound of your voice you were higher than a kite.
It was moments like these where Ellie fell more and more in love with you. The two of you, alone. Doing one of her favorite activities- smoking.
Ellie loved getting high with you. Hell, you were a drug to her, so you and weed together fucked her up even more. She wished you were hers. Her girl. Her lover. She wished she could get high with you all the time.
She wished she could get high with her lover, who isn't her lover. Yet.

You laid on the sofa across from Ellie, you legs sprawled out in front of you. Your dress was riding up your thighs as you kept moving and Ellie felt like she was going to explode by the sight. Your eyes were still closed, your head still thrown back.
'fuck me' me ellie said out loud.
'mhm' you questioned, opening one eye to look at her. You were so fucking high. It felt like you were floating. You heard Ellie mumble something and it brought you back to earth.
'n-n-nothing' Ellie said quickly.
Ellie never stutters you thought to yourself, but you assumed because she was just as fucking high as you were.
'c'mon hurry up' you said motioning at the blunt Ellie was holding.
'oh yeah' she said as if she forgot that she was smoking.
Truth be told she did. You fuck up her mind. You make her nervous. You make her forget things.
She quickly gave you the blunt and once again you took it between your lips and closed your eyes in pleasure. Ellie wondered if you were doing this on purpose. Teasing her. Taunting her.
Smoke filled the room as you breathed out and Ellie was staring once again. eyes trailing your body. She took the blunt from your hand, your fingers brushing slightly and she felt a jolt of electricity go up her spine at the touch. Before she could put the blunt into her mouth, to try and shake off these thoughts she was having of you, you reached down into your bag to grab a tube of lip gloss. Ellie watched you carefully, as you laid back down. You opened the lip gloss, and applied it to your lips.
Ellie wanted nothing more but to lean over and kiss you. You felt her eyes burning holes into your head, you turned to her she looked away immediately. You put the lip gloss down, closed your eyes and you let out a soft 'hurry up'.
Ellie was fucked. She was turned on. She was in love. She was obsessed. She was high. She didn't know what to do.
There you were laying across from her. Exposed thighs, glossed lips, eyes closed, head thrown back. 'Fuckmefuckmefuckme' she thought over and over again.
She decided there and then she was never getting high with you again. (she knew she would invite you again)

She could already imagine it. Coming home after patrol you being there waiting for her. Maybe in the kitchen cooking for her, wearing no panties. Maybe shed walk in on you waiting for her on the bed. She imagines coming home to you already licking the sides of the blunt, handing one to her as the two of you smoked in your home.
Her dreams could become a reality if she wasn't such a fucking pussy. Ellie would never admit it to anyone but you were her safe heaven. Over the years of knowing you, you somehow became her comfort. After hard days of patrol she'd always go visit you and her mood changes instantly. Apart from all her dirty thoughts Ellie wanted nothing more but to come home to you, and to comforted by you. To be held. To be babied.
The world you lived in was hell. It was darkness, but you were her light and you didn't even know. She felt free with you. She felt safe. If she could she would escape from this world. And she would take you with her.

As the night went on the two of you got higher and higher.
You were asleep. The moonlight looming over your features and Ellie just admired you. She loved the moon. She loved you. She loved you to the moon and back. She always wanted to be an astronaut when she was younger. She wanted to go to the moon and she wanted to take you with her. (She assumed there would be no infected on the moon) She laid on her side watching you as you slept. She silently thanked the moonlight from making you look even more angelic than you already were. She took one last puff before the blunt was finished and when she was done with it she discarded it somewhere on the table and she looked at you. There was nothing she wouldn't do for you. Getting high with you was the best decision she ever made.
She watched as you were sleeping, your chest rising slowly, your thighs still on display. You were going to be hers. She will make sure of it. Nothing and no one was going to stop her. She was going to make you her lover.
And she just did just that. A few days later the two of you were in the room cuddling and getting fucked up together.
Ellies dreams finally became a reality. She was getting high with her lover.

YEAR 2033. Dust built up through the passage of time had caked in the crevices of the wall's base moldings. Lavender-colored wallpaper torn, tattered, and riddled with bullets. Turning your gaze forward, four mangled infected corpses, toppled over each other, lay at the end of the hallway, filling the stale air of the abandoned apartment building with its offensive foul odor. Nature slithered and had made its way through the massive crater in the ceiling above the bodies, swallowing up most of the walls. The floorboard creaked and whined underneath their body weight, shoes leaving water trails in their stead. Overlapped sounds of wet, urgent footsteps, deep guttural groans, and the fast beating of your heart drumming against your eardrums only contributed to increasing your adrenaline. “Hold him–hold him for me.” An exhausted voice shifts your focus to your older sister, who's aiding in holding up the muscular man. Sticky sweat trickles down your throat and forehead, and thickened dirt is underneath your nails.
You nod your head, his weight pressing a bit harder down onto your smaller body, when she slowly removes herself from him. You pointed out your strength in keeping him upright when she moved away. Her head tilts slightly to be at your level briefly, and her eyebags are more prominent. “I have to see if this room is safe for us.” She muttered. Turning her back to face you, she unsheathes her pistol from the leather holster strapped to her thigh, holding it firmly in her dominant hand. She steps up to the door and opens it enough for it to be ajar. Her aim, guided by the wooden door, eyes examining every inch revealed to her the more she opened the door past the threshold.
She quickly glances back at you and your uncle, giving herself only a second before she finally pushes the door wide, her shoes falling and shifting with purpose around the apartment's brown wooden floor. The small kitchen on the right had a few cabinets and drawers open, seemingly void of any valuables. The living room beside it had a dark grey knit blanket settled below the wooden coffee table, peeking out from underneath, and the wooden bookcase on the left side of the door had books of different genres and interesting topics. You watched as she faded further into the apartment, your eyebrows knit together, vaguely tilting your head on the left occasionally to take in the environment being thoroughly investigated by your sister.
A choked curse rumbling close to your right ear and the firm hold on your left shoulder tightening made you blink to look up at your uncle, his body in a state worse than yours. A puddle of blood that’d spread was soaked up by the gauze wrapped around his lower left abdomen, and shared sweat invaded your nostrils. “Uncle..” You whisper to him, anxiety etched into every fiber of your being. Witnessing your only father figure suffering tore your heart apart. “‘S alright, sweetheart.” His voice and demeanor, which you’ve known to be assertive and fearless, dimmed dramatically to being strained and fatigued. The hold you had on his waist grew tighter after he said that, left hand rising to tenderly plant itself on top of his rough hand that grasped your shoulder.
Shoes stepping on wooden flooring rose in volume, and the pleasing sight of your sister reappearing at the front door. “Everything’s good. Come on, I got you.” Softly-spoken, but the underlying stress upon her profoundly resonated between the three of you like an echo chamber as you all stumbled and groaned, leading him to the end of the hallway in the apartment, past the small kitchen and living room, into the disorganized bedroom. Its wide window displayed the afternoon view of the ransacked, vacant city riddled with rustic vehicles and grass overtaking the streets that were once a quarantine zone orchestrated by the military. It was sealed shut, and droplets of rain collided against the glass.
You both carefully lay your uncle down onto the messy mattress, your sister tilting her upper body a little, slim hands roughened from the difficult trials of the life they live now move to softly wipe the sweat trickling down his cheek, alongside the stray strand of hair out of its regular place. “I’m sorry, Uncle– I..” She lowers her head, staring at her shoes before sealing her eyes shut, and the bottom of her lip quivers. There was desperation in staggering her emotions at this detrimental time, fighting to stay strong for both of you.
Your stare faltered as you watched your sister struggle, vision blurring as the hot sensation of tears ran down your cheeks. “This was never your fault..” She didn’t say anything, only nodding her head in response before reluctantly stepping away, her gaze skipping from him to stare off at the window. “I need to get going.” She walks out of the bedroom with haste, leaving the door wide open. Fear sharp as the tip of a needle courses through you. “Going where?” You blurted out, your body moving without question to follow her out of the bedroom door to stop her in the living room. “That Pharmacy we came across,” She sniffles harshly, shaking her head. “I need to see if there could be anything there that can help Uncle.”
Your mouth opened and closed, unfiltered doubt had overtaken your expression.
She falters. “I don’t know if I have the strength to do what I think I need to do.” She hiccups, moving in to wrap you into a firm hug, a strong wave of sweat invades their senses. “Leaving him here feels wrong– leaving you alone too– I don’t know anymore, I..” Words come tumbling out of her mouth, you return the hug tenfold, desperate to give her reassurance that she can rely on you too, she doesn’t need to hold all of the extreme weight of responsibility on her shoulders on her lonesome. After a moment, you pull away a little. “...I can do it. I’ll wait for you.” Staring up to meet her eyes.
A beat.
“...Okay. I’ll be back as soon as I can, maybe I'll find some food as well, alright?” She pulls you back into that tight hug, chin resting on the top of your head. After seconds of silence, she steps away to walk out the front door, and the click and slam of the door shutting echoes in your skull. You went to reassure your uncle about where your older sister went, even when he vaguely nodded, you could tell he also disagreed and was just as worried. After all that, you searched the kitchen, finding only a box of crackers in the bottom cabinet. That had pretty much nothing inside except for seven crackers wrapped in white plastic, hunger coursed through you as soon as your eyes even landed on it, snatching it before walking over to the bookcase next to the front door. Thick dust covered the shelves and books. Genres: Horror, Comedy, Romance, Animals… Animals? Hell yeah!
The corners of your lips quirked as you picked out the book from the bookshelf, particles bursting in front of your face when the books next to it slid down a little, quickly stepping away with a grimace on your face, you moved to plop down onto the couch. With your left hand, you open the book. On the first page, imagery of horses of different breeds intrigued you, and black text described their origins. Moving past that, the next page was of owls. Chowing down on the stale crackers you put on top of your thighs, leaving five crackers left on purpose. Minutes passing you by. Sleep came slamming down on you, like taking a dose of Xylazine, strong, undefeatable to even a horse. You didn’t mean to fall asleep, but your body needed and begged for rest.
Shuffling and loud, abrupt cluttering snapped your slumber.
Your slouched position quickly shot up, neck cranking to look behind you, staring at the hallway with wide eyes. The sounds in the bedroom paused, its door still wide open. Your hands moved silently to remove the book and crackers off of your thighs and onto the wooden coffee table, standing up to your full height, your mouth was left ajar, eyeing the shadow moving on the floor at the end of the hallway, tension in your bones rising when your fingertips inch to your pistol in your back pocket. Praying.
You whisper, hoping that you can prove yourself wrong, so that it'll dispel the dread that's gradually emerging. “Uncle?” Irregular thudding arose once again, a boot unsteadily stepping onto the shadow, moaning in pain, gasping noises were the first sounds you heard from him. “No, no, no, no.” Shaking your head, you can feel your body reacting– that overwhelming emotion of sorrow that your sister briefly described, that’d make your bottom lip quiver and vision blur, opposed to your wishes.
Blinking them away, upholding the pistol the way he taught you, the sight of what was once your Uncle was replaced with a man who lost his humanity—a shell of his former self. His body movement was lethargic and so erratic that it made you shudder.
And when his glazed-over irises landed on you, he lurched into a feral run, startling you into action. “No, please!” Boots stomping on wooden flooring was blaringly loud to your eardrums, your poor heart racing miles per hour.
BANG.
Stomach.
He’s still coming.
BANG.
Chest.
He’s trying to crawl over the couch.
BANG!
Head.
His body toppled over when the bullet penetrated his skull, body falling forward– you couldn’t move fast enough, his corpse landing on you, gravity and his heavyweight were too much, your back slammed down onto the wooden coffee table with immense force, breaking it in half, crushing the crackers, and the thick book you were reading dug into your upper back, but none of it compared to your mental distress. His blood leaked from the bullet hole in his forehead, dripping down onto your face. Your hands frantically pushing his shoulders upwards, but pitifully failing in getting him off of you. Breathing came in quick bursts, coughing, and sobs were all that accompanied you in the apartment’s silence; you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything, acid welling up in your throat. You feel disgusting.
Dragging yourself from underneath his body as an alternative, wood chips pressed into the palms of your hands, moving to sit up while doing so, sliding back until your back hit the TV stand. You brought your knees up to your chest. “I’m sorry, Uncle! I’m sorry!” Squeals and sobs shredded your vocal cords, the back of your hands carelessly rubbed at your eyes over and over again, the waterfalls of tears were endless, chest hiccuping, ears ringing, ribcage closing in on your heart like a vignette effect, and the deep ache spread across your upper back.
The more you cried to yourself, the more you began to feel isolated. Not knowing if your sister is still alive, or if she went and abandoned you instead. Just the thought of being deserted by her made you bawl your eyes out harder, sclera’s red, snot bubbling and trickling onto your lips only to be wiped away.
Click.
Crawling forward with haste, teeth gritting, fingertips grazing the pistol’s grip–
A light gasp stopped you.
A second after you looked up, catching a glimpse of her, she was already on you, kneeling to your level, left hand wrapping around your upper back, right hand cradling your head.
“Oh, Y/n..” Whispered, tearful apologies spilled from her lips, gently swaying both of you left to right. You hold her tight, you can’t envision yourself being detached from her hip now. After you both somewhat regained your composure, you couldn’t bring yourself to look at him, facing what you had done.
What you were forced to do.
