Life is like a lit flame.

At the start it is a small spark.

Some glows become many colors.

Others have bits and pieces from their friends.

Few wander, their flames lit on a stick for travel.

Some have settled down, their fires combined to become big.

Others like the thrill. The feeling of fear with their fires near water.

A couple once had friends who would settle around, and now they had gone away.

Some have fires they didn’t even know burned.

So come little one, raise your spark. Nurture it and let it grow.

May it become a beacon to all.

May others sit by your fire. Let them warm.

And help it grow big and strong.
