So Donnie mentions more then once that he likes dancing.

Big Mama is also shown to like dancing.

Imagine in family web: mama dancing with baby Donnie.

I think she used to dance with bitty baby donnie when he was fussy b/c the movement calmed him down. Then when he was a little less bitty, they'd dance b/c he liked it.

There is an emerging rumour which is becoming quote popular that what happened all thoes years ago was that someone with a big grudge against Big Mama paid a witch to place a curse on the boys to make them "disappear". The witch did not have the heart to do that and instead turned them into turtles so that they wouldn't be recognised and left them outside the hidden city to be adopted by a lone kind rat-yokai.

Sunita absolutely keeps April up to date on the latest rumours surrounding the turtles and co,

this weeks one being;

 CJ looks human because he inherited the jorogumo shapeshifting ability and the poor boy's obviously just not used to being in a yokai safe environment.

Lol i love that! I imagine the yokai that end up believing that try to be exceptionally nice to CJ, in hopes he starts feeling comfortable enough to shift out of his disguise. CJ is just super confused that week when like five different shopkeepers hand him free stuff and April's laughing more and more as they go.

Big Mama is quite a high profile person so when four sons show up from seemingly nowhere people are bound to talk.

The spider traits clearly mark the brothers as her children but they also have a distinctly turtle-like appearance. So people think back with the approximated ages of these kids in mind and now there are two opposing camps; thoes who say Lou Jitsu was secretly a kappa who used a  cloaking broach to make it big in both the human world and hidden city alike, and thoes who are convinced there was an affairs and that being the reason Lou Jitsu and Big Mama broke up with the battle nexus champion leaving without a trace.

Ofcourse then CJ appears and when someone overhears him call Big Mama "grand-mama" the rumour mill and theories are once again in full swing.

Lol yes! this is great! A yokai rumor mill sounds hilarious lol! and there would be plenty for them to talk about with some theories more rediculous than others. Like maybe someone sees them around Draxum and starts a perposterous rumor that Big Mama and Lou had paid Draxum to clone some kids for them, but he messed it up and accidentally made them turtles hybrids instead and that's why Mama's pissed at him.

What's funny is i drew a doodle of these two a while ago (before the last chapter of Donnie's jacket was posted) but never shared it b/c i didn't like how it turned out. (still don't.) And then just...didn't redraw it even though Shelldon's hologram design was very cute and i liked it. So basically, thank you for giving me an excuse to draw the Hologram child lol : )

An update from the present day (family web) yokai rumour mill;

The tense air between Big Mama, Baron Draxum and Rat Jitsu is all due to a love triangle or poly relationship gone wrong.

Whatever the case they were all seen attending an art exhibit for promising new young artists. Sources say Michelangelo, one of the artists featured, refered too all three of them as his family.

Lol! I have the distinct feeling Draxum and Splinter would be absolutely horrified by that rumor. (mama would find it hilarious b/c 1, she is well aquanted with the rumor mill and knew this could be an assumption, and 2, he absolutely loves Splinter and Draxum's reactions to it. I could see her feeding the rumor mill even more, simply by "Lamenting" in public about how her adorable Lou had run away with a sheep man 13 years ago and she hadn't heard from him again until recently. much to Draxum's and Splinter's horror.)

Did you basr Holo Sheldon on a specific turtle species or is he just copying his father?

Oh he's very much just copying his father lol.

His design's actually a cross between Donnie and his Drone body, so he kind of looks like a cross between a mutant turtle and a robot mutant turtle. which...is kinda confusing lol....here's what i mean

Mostly looks like a bio turtle, but his eyes have square pupils and his shell (front and back) look more like the drone shell, or one of DOnnie's battle shells. (he also has circles on is joints b/c of the little propeller(?) limbs on his drone body.) He also has a tail lol : )

I really really wanna see Donnie cuddled up with Big Mama cuz we have so many asks and stuff about Mama comforting him when he's sick and kot feeling good but no pics and that's a shame in my eyes. Unfortunately artblock keeps me formd racing it myself

Yes, Donnie stole Raph's hoodie b.c it's big and warm. And is secondary and spider limbs are tucked in it b/c he's cold (and there's no holes for the other arms b/c it's raph's hoodie.) He's also still very much in his pajamas and slippers : )
