Danny: Valentine’s day is just a consumerist holiday that holds no real value other than drive people insane buying heart-shaped chocolates for their significant others and pos- Jay: I wrote you a poem. Danny, already crying: You did?
Danny is in a genderbend loop again, but born in Japan also in a yakuza family that is well known underground fighter (basically like Kure clan in Kengan Asura)
And Danny being well known fighter underground, and Gun basically sends gifts as a proposal.
[ i should probably be doing my homework, but fuck it, here's another one-shot about Gun being a simp and Danny being done with life until Rapunzel's long-lost twin saves the day. Enjoy!]
Being a woman never gets easier, Danny sighed wrapping bandages over her chest. She was headed into the ring any minute now and needed to be prepared.
Japan was different than Korea, and she found herself often blindsided, despite apparently knowing the language. Oh, and she was also part of some super important and huge crime family? Yey.
Her biggest problem currently, however, was another thing: Gun. As usual, he was the root of her perpetual annoyance, by being not only a menace but an utter simp.
"You beat a guy into the hospital once-" She bemoaned quietly before the sound of a gong announced her entrance.
She stepped into the arena with a blank face and her chin held things, not once faltering in her pace. Her opponent, a mountain of a man with several years of fighting under his belt and numerous prizes was waiting with an equally somber look. He knew who she was, and he knew that he had no way of winning, but for the sake of his pride and probably his life, he had to try. The cheers were deafening. Behind a pair of shades, black eyes pierced her skin like burning daggers.
Boohoo~ Jay, my beloved, quickly come save me! she wailed in her mind while suppressing a shiver. Why did she have the worst luck in the world?! Danny shook such thoughts off and tried to concentrate on the fight, but she couldn't. Her mind drifted back to the quiet evening she had spent in her lover's arms before the loop had so cruelly ripped her from his embrace.
The sound of the gong snapped her from her thoughts. Before her laid the fallen body of her opponent, badly injured, but alive. Danny tuned out the voice of the commentator echoing through the arena with a bored look. In the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of blonde hair, but when she turned her head it was gone.
The girl was just packing her stuff to leave when she once again saw that flash of blonde going down the corridor. Quickly hoisting the duffle bag over her shoulder she hurried out of the locker room and sprinted down the hall. As she turned the corner she ran straight into someone and ended up sprawled all over the floor. Before she could regain he bearings, someone extended their hand to her to help her up. Oh, fuck me sideways!
Gun stared down at the girl with a polite smile, waiting for her to grab his hand so he could hoist her up. That didn't happen. Instead, the little spitfire got up herself and proceeded to book it past him without another word.
She had intrigued him from the moment he had first seen her fighting a few months ago. The girl was young but skilled beyond her years. She was quick on her feet and her hits spared no power, but she could still dish them out for hours without even breaking a sweat (he'd seen her do it in one match). There was just something so intoxicating about how she could turn her body into a weapon without even blinking and take out people three times her size like they were made out of straw.
Gun was determined to have such a masterpiece at any cost.
Danny was sulking. She had lost the mystery blond somewhere in the maze of corridors. A part of her yelled that that might've been her Jay and that she had just lost her chance, but the rational part reminded her that the blonde was in Korea, far away from her. She had done some digging and discovered that her brilliant beloved was an aspiring poet in this loop, which didn't surprise her that much. Her hubby had always been a sensible soul. It did however make her heart ache to know that their paths would probably never cross this time. I mean, I'm an underground fighter, and he writes poetry, she despaired mentally.
Another day, another fight. The routine was starting to grate on her nerves.
Another thing that bugged her endlessly was that the black-eyed maniac had apparently taken an interest in her, again. He kept sending her gifts and whatnot every day. Her parents (some random extras she had never met before) were ecstatic that such a highly regarded and respected man wanted to have their daughter, and kept trying to convince her to accept his proposal. She vehemently refused and threatened to burn down the whole house if they kept insisting. That got them to back off for a while.
Gun upped his game. Not only did he start bribing her extended family with gifts, but he also somehow go invited to the birthday celebration of the head of their family, Masashi Park.
If Danny was irked before now she was downright fuming. Every member of their clan had to attend this celebration unless they were pregnant and repairing to give birth or on their deathbed. There was no way for her to get out of attending.
"Gods willing I die before then." She cursed under her breath when her maid announced the news.
She shooed the confused maid and rolled into her covers, clutching a pillow to her chest. It was moments like these that she craved to be back in her lover's warm embrace, away from all the maniacs and bastards who sought to disturb their peace. Oh what she wouldn't give to-
"Would you stop throwing pebbles at my window, I'm trying to have a tearful inner monologue here!"
She stomped her way to the window and opened it. Before she could shout some more a small rock hit her right in the forehead. The fighting prodigy went down with an 'oof' bested by a flying pebble. She got up again, ready to give her attacker a piece of her mind before her eyes landed on that familiar mop of blond hair and all of her thoughts came to a screeching halt.
There in all his glory, like a prince come out of a fairytale to save his beloved, was her darling Jay. He waved at her, smiling shyly. Bewildered, Danny slipped through the window, landing on the grass silently (assassin skills for the win!).
"How?" The words came out before she could stop them.
Jay shrugged.
"You don't know?"
Nod.
"Then-?"
"Huh, you felt like you knew me? And you had a feeling I needed help?"
The conversation, although one-sided, brought tears of gratitude to her eyes. At first, Jay panicked seeing her cry but quickly calmed down when she explained the situation and held her as she let all of her piled frustrations out. He didn't let go when his shirt got so wet it stuck to his skin, just sat and listened to her ranting while drawing small circles on her back. He didn't ask her anything, as if he already knew everything he needed to. Her darling always had a knack for knowing things he shouldn't and she couldn't be more thankful for it now.
"Aren't you supposed to be in Korea?" Danny asked after she had finally calmed down a bit.
The two had moved to an area further away from her home, on a little hill overseeing the city. She was laying on his chest, their legs entangled over one another, his arms planted firmly around her smaller body like an anchor while she played with his fingers.
"Oh? You're here with your father who's on a business trip? That's-" she yawned "-really great."
Danny snuggled deeper into the warmth, trying to turn away from the blasted light that wouldn't let her sleep. Wait, light? She groggily opened her eyes to see the sun climbing over the horizon. The girl gasped, waking Jay up as well. The two shared a quick hug and she gave him a light peck on the cheek before they parted ways with promises to meet again as soon as possible.
When the servants saw their young miss practically skipping into the house they pinched themselves to check if they were still asleep. The young beauty who had been so morose and silent these past few days had a lovely smile painted on her face and her cheeks were the color of roses. She looked like a blooming flower and was gently humming a tune to herself. (Near, far, wherever you are~) [I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself! ]
Danny just ignored all of them and headed to her room, content to have her dearest once again by her side.
---------------
The day of the celebration came and with it the family drama and gossip. Who married who? Who killed who? The usual. And, of course, the news of the young raven-haired master of a good family courting the cold and skilled young miss of the 5th branch.
The girl in question listened to them spread the most ludicrous of ideas around, such as her being pregnant by Gun (the fuck?), and wanted to gag. Old people with little to do had the wildest imaginations!
And as if that wasn't already enough, right then the star of the show decided to make his appearance. Danny took a deep breath, mentally repeating a mantra about calm and patience. It wouldn't do to sully her new dress with his blood. Besides, they weren't allowed to kill or mutilate someone during the patriarch's birthday, lest they wish to face his wrath. And no one wanted to go toe to toe with that crazy old geezer!
To her momentary relief, Gun didn't approach her for the entire celebration, until the banquet.
Danny tried not to bite into her chopsticks as she cursed whatever bastard had been in charge of the seating arrangement for at least twenty generations to come. Why did it seem like their seats were purposefully placed closer to each other?! Patience, patience, patience, the girl repeated, trying to restrain herself from elbowing the shameless bastard whose sleeve kept brushing her side 'accidentally'. He would soon 'accidentally' end up with one less arm!
When the time came to toast, Old Masashi got up with his cup raised, prepared to give his speech.
"I wish to first and foremost apologize to all of you."
Murmurs ran through the dining hall as people became uneasy. The old man wasn't known as a loose canon for nothing. The room was once again reduced to silence through a single look from the patriarch.
"I have invited a guest to my celebration at the last minute. Due to my lack of foresight, I am afraid he's running a bit late. Nevertheless, I wish to introduce you to him."
The double doors engraved with tigers were opened by two servants. The guest walked in with elegant, deliberate steps, like a man merely taking a stroll through a shop, not entering the headquarters of one of the most feared clans in Japan. The hall waited with bated breath as he made his way to the old master, who hugged him like a friend and once again turned to address the crowd.
"This is Jay Hong, the son of a dear friend of mine and-" he threw a sharp look across the hall, his eyes settling on Danny "my future grandson-in-law!"
Everyone turned to look at the frozen girl, then back at the old master. Then again, at her and at Masashi, and finally at the blonde on his right.
Tick. Tock. Tick-
The hall burst into chaos.
Kinda digging the first genderbend Danny, I would like to see the other reactions from big deal to worker 2nd or you can choose this option of fem Danny trying to figure out how to Survive the love triangle of Jay and Gun as they basically go on a flexing spree for their love of Danny (They accidentally saw each others in the mall that how the flexing happen)
Oooh, I think Big Deal would definitely have a field day trying to stop this pretty menace from terrorizing all of Seoul and adopting most of their members. I'm just picturing Jerry getting hit and her kissing his forehead to make the hurt go away. Just being an adorable gremlin all around and bonding with the girls on the street. She and Lua might get along pretty well, like Danny being her big sister figure or something.
When it comes to the Workers 2nd affiliate I think things would be a lot more different. To begin with, I don't think Mitsuki would ever allow another female to join the 2nd affiliate. Like, I feel she might kick up a fuss about her trying to seduce Sinu and Ryuhei would support her like the simp he is.
But going back to matters of the heart~
---------------------------------
Being a girl meant that Danny had to actually get at least some semblance of a fashion sense. So, like she always did, she invited Jay to go shopping with her under the guise of helping her pick an outfit for some family gathering. Of course, she worded it in such a way that it made it seem like she was taking him out.
Fortunately, her kind Jay agreed in a heartbeat, shaking his beet-red head up and down repeatedly. It seemed that no matter how Danny looked this boy's heart didn't care. She had expected as much from the man who had been by her side for eons, although he didn't know that. It didn't mean that this stopped her heart from trying to pound out of her chest and dance cha-cha in his palm. Gods, how she loved this man!
So when school let out the two headed to the mall, side by side. As expected, the blonde was a fashion genius and put her in outfits that made her feel and look like an otherworldly beauty.
Danny was just admiring her new outfit in the mirror. This body was truly a work of art, that much even she could understand, but the way the blue puffy top stopped a bit above her waist, revealing the tiniest bit of milky skin, and how her black jeans hugged her legs just right made her feel so pretty she just couldn't wait to show Jay. it might not have been the most elegant or elaborate outfit, but it made her look like a pure little blossom and she figured that it went rather well with the warm sunny weather outside.
With a soft smile, she stepped out of the changing room and bumped right into a wall. No, not a wall, something much worse. Ugh! Why, god? Why did you have to do this to me today?
Gun looked down at the woman that had bumped into him and his eyes widened behind the shades. There, looking like an entirely innocent schoolgirl was the very woman who had sent him to the hospital only a few weeks prior. She was in a cute little blue top that gave him a clear view of her supple waist and a pair of skinny jeans that clung tightly to her long slender legs in a way that made every man in the store gawk at her.
She eyed him with annoyance and muttered an apology before scurrying around him and to the blonde boy waiting for her on a chair. Gun felt one of his eyebrows twitch in annoyance. What makes him so special? And as if it wasn't enough, she seemed utterly besotted with him, her face blooming like a beautiful rose when he complement her outfit (without using words somehow?). The black-haired man gritted his teeth. He could do so much better!
Several hours later Danny was starting to lose her cool. Ever since she had bumped into Gun in that clothing store he hadn't stopped showing up out of the blue and buying the most ridiculous and expensive things right in front of them. This wouldn't have been a problem if Jay hadn't somehow gotten dropped in this weird contest and begun spending the most ludicrous amounts on various things, which he gifted her despite her repeated refusal and protests.
"That's enough!" She angrily got up from her table and marched to the two who were apparently trying to buy the whole food court at the moment.
She grabbed them both by their ears, making sure to be extra gentle with Jay and pinch Gun's ear as hard as she could without ripping it off. Then, in view of everyone in the mall, she dragged them out by their ears and into the parking lot. Finally, she let them go and began scolding both of the cowed men currently kneeling on the pavement.
"I thought you were better than this Jay!" Danny tried to ignore the guilt pooling in her chest as the named male shrunk from her and then added more softly. "Go back and pick up our shopping, please."
She made sure that the quiet boy was out of sight and out of earshot before she turned to Gun. She didn't want her precious Jay to see her as a barbarian, but there were some things one couldn't resolve by being nice.
"Wipe that grin off your face!" She ordered sharply, grabbing a handful of the maniac's hair and bringing him closer to her level. "I'm going to say this once and once only. Leave. Us. Be. Don't look at us. Don't talk to us and don't ever fucking approach us or even your dear chairman won't be able to scrub your guts off the pavement. Are we clear?"
Without waiting for a reply she let him go, turned around, and walked back into the mall, unaware of the impact her words had on the man. Spoiler Alert! It was not the effect she intended. The interaction had only made his interest in her grow and alongside it, his infatuation with Danny. (Poor her!)
With Danny being on loop for thousand of times already wouldn't he also have genderbend of him-self? I wonder what changes in everyone perspective. Especially gun since that guy is a pervert as Goo says.
Maybe she could make this work?
Being a woman was hard. Being an attractive woman was a nightmare, plain and simple. Simply put, being looped into a female body was a lesson in many things, including but not limited to patience, tolerance, humility, and the sheer ability to put up with so much bullshit on a daily basis that it made Danny want to pull her hair out of her skull strand by strand.
To begin with, everyone seemed to suddenly view him as an unowned object, ready for the taking. That was usually resolved with a couple broken bones and broken egos, though some people took more convincing to finally get the message.
Patience. Cross.
Then came the pain. And blood. Oh, god, so much blood! And the pain could be utterly unbearable, leaving him curled on the floor just prying for it to go away. He knew what periods were, of course, but no one had ever told him they could get this bad!
Tolerance. Cross.
Society as a whole apparently expected him to act as if she was less of everything they had applauded him for being. They saw her achievements as boasting or cheating, yet jeered whenever she would get lower than they expected. Nothing she did was ever good enough, but she wasn't allowed to do better. Danny was no stranger to the bigotry of men, but its hist had never resonated in him quite how they did then.
Humility. Cross.
When the assumptions and expectations came she just decided to call it quits. Fuck the world!
Ability to deal with bullshit on a daily basis. Cross.
-------------------------------
In an attempt to regain some semblance of control over her life, Danny decided to stock as closely as possible to the original timeline of events. It didn't work.
For one, Jay seemed to be actively avoiding her. She could understand that, but it didn't mean it hurt any less. At least he still remained friendly with her, if a bit shyer than before.
Zack was another problem. He had annoyed her enough to make her fight him during the second day, but the outcome had been much more different. The boxer was defeated by a girl in front of the whole school, wounding his pride, but since then he had taken to trying to embarrass her in a twisted attempt at payback. It wasn't pretty, but she knew that with enough time he would grow more mature, as he always did, and perhaps there would be hope for e reconciliation.
Similarly to her two classmates, many of her usual friends acted rather oddly in her presence or didn't interact with her at all. The exception to this was, surprisingly, the two troublemakers from the Vocal Department.
Danny had no idea how she did it, but she has somehow gotten adopted into their little clique and they stuck to her like glue ever since, even going as far as leaving Duke alone when she asked them. Their silly antics were a balm to the ache in her soul that had come with losing the chance to bond with the people that she held dear in the same way she always did. That wasn't a problem, the fighting prodigy told herself, she would just have to find new ways to bond with them. For now, she was content with the two friends she had, however odd their friendship might've been. She might be able to make this work.
"HUH? That's stupid!" Vin Jin said a bit louder than he had to, secretly trying to wake his black-haired friend from whatever trance she was in.
"You just can't figure out how great it is because you're a moron!" Mary retorted, gripping the girl's elbow. "Isn't that right Danny?"
That got her to snap out of her thoughts and look up at the bickering pair. She gave them a clueless smile and nod, unaware of them sighing in relief as she once again joined in on the conversation. She had the habit of getting lost in thought every once in a while and they worried about how vulnerable it left her. That's why they could never leave her side. Even now, they could feel the hungry gazes coming from all over the cafeteria, aimed at the beautiful transfer girl. She may be strong enough to fight them off, but that didn't stop those freaky perverts from thinking all sorts of creepy shit about her.
Mary and Vin held a silent conversation between them as the girl ate, cluelessly. These trance-like episodes had become more frequent in the past week and they needed to find a way to put a stop to them. The School Festival was coming up, which is when the two convened to put their plan into action.
When Zack was chosen for the Slave Auction Danny could only cringe and give him her best wishes. Usually, when he was chosen for the Auction in previous loops either he would have to spend a hellish date with Lala or Crystal would come save him, then give him the same speech about not judging people based on their looks. This usually ended in one of two ways, he would lose his temper and yell back, leading to Gun pummeling him into the floor, or he would take it quietly before informing Crystal that he couldn't go out with her because he didn't like her, and would, again, end up kissing the pavement, courtesy of her bodyguard overreacting and hitting him (what a shocker!).
The event went as expected, with Crystal buying the boxer and them leaving for the parking lot. Only, this time Danny followed behind them, as did her two best friends. They didn't even bother sneaking around, just followed closely behind, curious to see what would happen.
"Oh, so it's that way, huh" The black-haired beauty muttered under her breath, seeing Zack's expression grow stormier with each passing moment before he erupted into a screaming match with the Choi heiress.
"Who would've thought that cheeky bugger would still have it in him!" Vin mused out loud next to her, entertained.
Mary agreed, unbothered by the growing tension. Before any of them could blink Danny had bolted from her place, skidding to a halt right in front of the screaming boy. A few centimeters from her face she held Gun's ankle in a vise-like grip, her eyes narrowed sharp and unmoving from the bodyguard's face.
Zack stumbled back half a step, swallowing the knot in his throat. I didn't even see that coming, how did she get here so fast?! He recalled how she had easily sent him flying with just one punch. Back then he had dismissed it as a fluke, but what if...
Crystal stared at the pretty girl who had stopped Gun's Brazilian kick in silent horror and a trace of awe. She had noticed the three watching them, but hadn't thought anything of it. They looked like your typical high-school students, possibly even bullies. Now that she looked closer, however, there was a certain air of danger around each and every one of them, though most notably from the tall black-haired girl. A cold droplet of sweat slid down her cheek, she needed to stop this before it got out of hand!
One look at Gun's face told her that it was too late. He was smiling, no, grinning that abnormally large grin of his that only came when he saw someone as a challenge. His glasses had been discarded onto the ground, revealing the demonic-looking black eyes behind them. This wasn't a fight that could be prevented. Frantically, Crystal pulled out her phone and dialed her father, prying that the maniac wouldn't kill the girl until then.
"Yes, Crystal?" Charles' voice held a note of annoyance to it that, were she not panicking, she would've hesitated before.
"It's Gun" she relayed into the phone panicky "he's gotten into a fight with some girl! He's got that crazy grin of his and he's taken off his glasses-"
A loud thud sounded from behind her and she turned to look, expecting the worst. Crystal froze with her mouth wide open, blinking dumbly at the scene before her. It wasn't the bold girl's body laying bloody and motionless on the concrete. It was Gun's. His shirt was ripped and his hair a mess. His body was a mess of red and able and purple, though by the labored rising and falling of his chest he wasn't dead yet. One of his hands was twisted at an unnatural angle and the other looked very much broken, the bone visibly poking out beneath the skin, near his elbow.
Zack was looking on in a mix of horror and awe, frozen in place by the display of such skill and ruthlessness. She's fast...and deadly, he thought to himself, paling a bit. Meanwhile, Vin and Mary seemed unbothered by the sight and cheered their friend on, the latter holding a phone in her hand and probably filming the ordeal.
"Crystal! CRYSTAL!" Her father's voice snapped her out of it and she was once again able to speak.
"He's down. Out cold. Not dead though." She told him, unable to hide the tremor in her voice. "I didn't even have time to see-"
A shadow loomed over her trembling body and she slowly rose her head. The girl's gaze was detached and cold like she was staring down at a tiny mouse not worth her time. When she spoke her voice sounded like a mix between satisfied and indifferent.
"Take him back."
Crystal could only nod with her eyes tightly shut, feeling this predator's hot breath on her face. She scurried towards the fallen man and dragged him into the car before getting into the driver's seat and spreading out of the parking lot.
"Woohoo! Holy shit!" A pair of arms draped themselves over her shoulders and she found herself sandwiched between two warm bodies.
"That was fucking epic!" Vin praised the shorter girl, while his blonde friend nodded in agreement from the other side.
Danny allowed herself a small smile at the warm feeling that bloomed in her chest. The coldness in her body was washed away by laughter and other such explicit exclamations and praises. Yeah, she could make this work.
