Umm good omens fandom, I think I found evidence that Crowley was the archangel Raphael
So I went to the prado museum the other day and I saw this
And the description of the painting was this:

They're so similar like
They even have the same hair
We don’t know much about Crowley when he was angel. He didn’t mean to fall he just “sauntered vaguely downwards”. He hung around with the wrong people, “with Lucifer and the guys” and asked too many questions.
I’m gonna be focusing on him hanging around with the wrong people, specifically with Lucifer.
What if, when Crowley was an angel, he fell in love with Lucifer.
When I say “fell in love” I don’t mean actually falling in love with him, not the true love he felt for Aziraphale. Crowley might’ve had a teenager-like crush on Lucifer.
We don’t know how Lucifer canonically looks in the show, he might’ve been one of the most beautiful, handsome creatures ever.
Lucifer could’ve tricked Crowley to become a devil. Lucifer might’ve seduced him in a way. Lucifer could’ve said “You’re an Angel, I’m a Demon, this won’t work. But if you also become a demon we could be together.”
Crowley refused it at first. He wanted to be with Lucifer but he wasn’t ready to give up being an Angel.
It started off with small things. For example Lucifer could’ve made Crowley to believe the duties heaven gave him was boring and he could just lie about it. He might’ve told him he could lie all the time in hell, not having to do boring tasks.
But small things snowball into big things.
Overtime Crowley spending more time Lucifer and Lucifer messing with his mind, making him questioning everything about heaven causing him to fall, sorry I mean “sauntering vaguely downwards”.
We don’t know if Crowley hated becoming a demon but if he did have an adolescent crush on Lucifer, even though he didn’t mean to fall he might’ve been relieved to become a demon. He would’ve thought he had a chance with Lucifer. But when he went to Lucifer, Lucifer just told him “I just tricked you into becoming one of us, I never loved you.” breaking Crowley’s heart.
Kinda like a good girl falling in love with the bad boy but when she becomes a bad girl the bad boy leaves her. (In this scenario Crowley is the good girl and Lucifer is the bad boy.)
When he first met Aziraphale, he might’ve even thought about tricking him to become a demon like he once was. But when Aziraphale put his wing over him that made him change his mind.
Because when they first met it was time for the first rain. They didn’t know it if would rain holy water and the first rain was probably the holiest, it might’ve rained holy water. So Aziraphale covering Crowley with his wing, from Crowley’s POV would be Aziraphale protecting him.
He might’ve thought “This random Angel that I just met decided to protect me, I should leave him as an Angel.”
And/Or he might’ve become friends with Aziraphale to protect him from Lucifer. To make sure no more innocent angels like he once was fall because of getting tricked by a demon.

Okay but THIS THIS- is why the ineffable breakup literally made my heart skip several beats in utter despair- because there was that MOMENT where the Metatron asks Aziraphale if he's ready to go/if he needs to bring anything with him- and the HESITATION PRACTICALLY SCREAMING OUT OF AZIRAPHALE as he flits his gaze and his stance and his position between looking out the window at Crowley (being closer to her, walking AWAY from the Metatron) and looking at the door to his bookshop (being closer to Heaven, walking AWAY from Crowley).
He's making a major life decision, and he KNOWS it- and there is something inside them that is screaming THIS IS THE WRONG DECISION- RUN TO CROWLEY RUN TO CROWLEY-
But he's determined- to change Heaven, to reinstate Crowley- I don't know. But she's got a plan and she's gonna stick with it because under everything she really does fight for what she wants and what she loves- I just hope it doesn't become their downfall.
tragedy enjoyers (hi) talk a lot about inevitable tragedies where the character(s) were doomed from the start, but to be honest as someone who does not believe in fate/destiny/etc. irl, the kind of tragedy that Really gets to me is the kind where you can see exactly why and how this didn’t need to happen, and you can also understand why the choices were made that made this happen, and you watch an entirely unnecessary but devastatingly predictable tragedy unfold due to a series of understandable choices
There are a lot of red and blue colors in the film. Often these two colors mark opposites and/or couples in one way or another. Crowley and Aziraphale, Sergeant Shadwell and Madame Tracy, Adam and Pepper, Maggie and Nina's shops, and so on. A cup of coffee and an apple of Eden. My interpretation of these colors. I assume that the color symbolism is taken from the Christian religion of the Renaissance.
In this case, the Red color means everything earthly, sensual, full of life, sexual, chaotic. Sometimes it's something aggressive (Anathema saw the red aura of an angry villager). But aggression can also be righteous bravery like Pepper, who stood up to the War. The color red does not appear symbolically in Hell and does not directly mean evil. The Blue color means everything unearthly, reasonable, calm. This is order, discipline, loyalty and stability. The blue color also does not symbolize Heaven and does not directly mean good.
I would add here the fact about two Christian saints - St. George and St. Andrew. Saint Andrew is the patron saint of the Scottish flag. The flag of Scotland has a white oblique cross on a blue background. And St. George the Victorious (the man who defeated the snake /dragon) patronizes the flag of England (this flag has a red cross on a white background. Saint George and Saint Andrew are also opposites of each other - one is a warrior (red), the other is a martyr (blue), respectively. I think it would be interesting to see these characters in the second coming?
One more color thought. Here is a screenshot. (S1E3 [54:24])
This is an image of a monitor in an office at a nuclear reactor. At the moment, there is no fuel in the nuclear reactor, there is a yellow candy that Adam placed there. The monitor shows that this yellow candy gives energy by splitting into blue and red colors. Yellow (gold) color in Christianity is a Divine color, the color of divine energy and grace. People who see it say "it's impossible". They witnessed a miracle. I associate this episode with another one.
(all subtitles are original) In this scene our angel and demon exchanged bodies and Death itself says that it is "ineffable". Death stated that it was a miracle.
I will also mention White color in my color reflections. He appears in the series four times (something I noticed.) White in this theory means purity, innocence and/or sacrifice.
1.The third baby in the S1E1. He was wrapped in a white blanket. He was a victim of circumstances. I haven't read the book, but fish were mentioned in the movie in the context of the baby. These few little facts lead me to think that this child may appear in the third season. And he will play a direct role in the second coming, as the new incarnate Christ (the fish is a symbol of Christ and also the white color his symbol too.)
2. In the theater with a red interior (1941), Aziraphale takes out a white handkerchief and theatrically waves it. I think it reflects the purity of his intentions to help his demon. And also the fact that he is the only one in this "vicious" place (where illegal alcohol is sold and people stare at half-naked girls) is a pure immaculate soul.
3. Gabriel wears a white fur coat when he goes out to the demons in the second season. He obviously intended to sacrifice himself for the sake of saving people.
4. Muriel - everything is obvious here. She's a blank slate. I really hope she doesn't fall victim to any dramatic circumstances in S3. I love Muriel).
There is also a Violet color. I have already talked about him a lot in my other posts, for example in the post about Gabriel's eyes or about the joint miracle of Azikro. I'll just mention a funny little fact here. When Aziraphale gets inside Madame Tracy, her sleeves turn violet (because she herself is marked in red, and the angel is blue, respectively.)
Violet color appears once more at the end of S2E6. When we see that Shax and Furfur are up to something together, they unite. And we see them disappearing into a violet haze. I think we need to find out exactly what this couple is up to in S3.
I assume that the violet color here means unification, union, expansion, reaching a new level.
Crowley dials the numbers on his safe: 31 10 and 66, or maybe 67. I've been thinking for a long time that these numbers mean something, because we can see them well. If you have your own version, please share it with me. My theory is that the last digit is 67 - that is, 1967 - it was this year that Aziraphale brought holy water for Crowley in this thermos, which is now in the safe. Maybe that day was October 31st, or is it just that Crowley loves Halloween?
This theory seems pretty logical, but while I was thinking about it, I went through some funny and slightly crazy versions. Here is one of them: 311067 is a color in hex format. Here it is:
We know that Crowley and Aziraphale's joint miracle was violet. I don't think the authors have complicated the safe code so much, but there is definitely something to think about the meaning of colors in the film - namely red, blue, violet, gold. These colors definitely have a semantic load in the series.
So about the blue cup of coffee. I think it is symbolically the opposite of the Apple of Eden. Adam and Eve were innocent, having tasted the apple, they knew the earthly and had to go to Earth. Aziraphale, on the contrary, has lived on Earth for a long time and Metatron gives him (tempts) a "heavenly" drink. Some sources indicate that ambrosia (the drink of paradise or the drink of the gods) was nine times sweeter than honey. Therefore, Metatron deceives Aziraphale by claiming that there is a huge amount of almond syrup in the drink, he means that he gives Aziraphale ambrosia. At the same time, like an apple, this drink carries a particle of deception on the part of the one who gives it; it is given with bad intentions.
If we develop this idea further, then in this situation Aziraphale symbolically represents Eve, Metatron is the tempter snake, Crowley is Adam, and the bookshop is paradise. But this time Adam (Crowley) did not accept the temptation from his Eve. And Eve leaves their paradise alone.
In general, my theory is that a cup of coffee is an apple of Eden, but with the opposite meaning. The apple is sin, disobedience, knowledge of good and evil. And coffee in this case is obedience, giving up free will and following God's plan without thinking about whether it's good or bad.
In the S1, Gabriel is an unpleasant character - he is arrogant and sometimes really cruel. He has no empathy for people and his subordinates. When Gabriel loses his memory in the S2, he becomes completely different. Yes, he behaves like a child, but he is a kind child whose first motives are honesty and a desire to help people. When Aziraphale says that Gabriel was a terrible person, Gabriel asks him - And now? I assume that along with his memories, Gabriel extracted something else that controlled his behavior and influenced his personality. That's what I'm basing my guess on:
There are three scenes when Gabriel remembers something. I should immediately note that there are two types of these memories.
1.The first two memories do not belong to Gabriel, he was not present at these events. One memory from the past (for some reason it seems to me that it is addressed to Aziraphale), and the second memory from the future (for Crowley). When Gabriel speaks, his eyes change color, his consciousness turns off, he experiences physical pain and discomfort.
2.His own memories of events from the present. His eyes don't change color. It is obvious that Gabriel has kept pieces of his memory, his mind and the temperament of a gentle and sympathetic character.

1.Crowley asks - What is the very first thing you remember? Gabriel speaks the words of God that he spoke to Job. These lines were about the creation of the Earth. This cannot be Gabriel's first memory, but more on that later.
2.The most important thing is the third memory. Here is the scene and dialogue between Crowley and Gabriel. Crowley accuses Gabriel of involvement in Aziraphale's execution and cruel words. Gabriel replies that it couldn't have been him. After Gabriel's attempt to jump out of the window, Crowley says:
-"Well, if you're really not him, what are you?" (that is, Crowley is ready to believe that this is not the Gabriel he knew.)
-"I don't know, I feel… like, an empty house. A house someone lived for a very long time, but now they're gone (not "he" not "it", not "has gone" - "They") and the house can sort of tell where the things used to be. Like when I remembered how it all begin."
The "house" is Gabriel's brain. Some "they" lived in it. They left traces of memory there, so Gabriel was able to remember how it all begin. So "It" began for Gabriel right then, at the moment of God's conversation with Job. When the events with Job took place, God and Satan had an bet (and obviously had a personal conversation.)
Red rays descend on Job. Do you expect white or gold rays from God
I assume that at this moment something was implanted into Gabriel's personality, and his eyes turned violet. Gabriel is literally the only character with such eyes. Was it a joint work of God and Satan? The violet miracle is a powerful miracle that occurs when combining the miracles of the red and blue spectrum. (a violet pillar appeared above the bookshop after the joint miracle of azicro.) "This" suppressed Gabriel's personality, but when he fell in love, his personality became more mature and came into conflict with "this". Then Metatron was sent to depose Gabriel and take away "it" from him under the guise of taking away memory.
It follows from all this, if Aziraphale is hired to replace Gabriel, then he will receive this control and obsession. Maybe that's what happens to him in the elevator.
For the sake of objectivity, I will note. This theory is contradicted by the fact that Gabriel's eyes remained violet after gaining memory. Aziraphale's eyes did not turn violet. Although in that case, the solution would be too obvious.

Modern problems of the Tigris River: (as well as other great rivers)
1.The Tigris River plays a crucial role in agriculture and providing people with food. But in recent decades, the river has been drying up. This leads to a lot of troubles, including famine of the poor people. The horseman of the apocalypse Famine gets a tool - Scales. In his hands, the Scales are desecrated and become a symbol of unfair measure and restrictions.
2.There are a number of problems between countries that actively use the river. These problems require wise solutions and peace agreements. But unfortunately, the countries continue to exchange mutual accusations about the irrational use of the river. This does not solve the pressing problems, but only exacerbates the conflict. (In S1E2 shows a scene in Africa where War came - this is a real conflict problem concerning the Nile River and the inhabitants of Egypt and Ethiopia.) The Horseman of the Apocalypse War receives a Sword, in her hands the sword symbolizes the weapon of war.
3.Due to the drainage of rivers, there is a shortage of clean fresh water. In addition to drying out, there is the problem of direct pollution from coastal factories, oil refineries and landfills. Citizens have to use polluted water. Thousands of people suffer from poisoning every year. (Lesley visited Africa Nile River), and Des Moines in America (Mississippi River.) The horseman of the apocalypse Pollution gets the Crown. The desecrated crown is a symbol of unholy domination and control.
I write entertainment content, but these problems are real and their scale cannot be overestimated! Great rivers are dying from pollution, drying up and wasteful use!
4.So, after the three horsemen of the apocalypse have been defeated by the three virtues (three children), the divine weapons return to the deliveryman. He will return the items to the owner, but who is the owner and who gave the packages to Lesley? We know that the sword was lost and several persons including God and angels, asked Aziraphale about this sword. So the sword wasn't in heaven.
5.Okay, here's the classic Justice Tarot card:
You can see she has Scales a Sword and a Crown. Scales in its true meaning symbolizes balance and justice. The Sword is a symbol of mind and law, it is able to separate truth from lies. The Сrown is a symbol of recognized divine authority. Is God in GO "Justice"? Or is it another character?
6.I assume Lesley will give these tools to his wife. If his wife really is the prototype of the goddess of justice. A bit of history - Initially, only Scales was associated with the goddess Maat, the goddess of justice. (She was putting a feather on the scales to weigh a human heart at the posthumous trial.) As the centuries passed, she became an independent figure and received a Sword and a blindfold (a symbol of impartiality.) In medieval Europe, she received the throne, and the blindfold was replaced by a Crown.
Here's my theory. Lesley is the spirit or prototype of the Great Divine River (Tiger, Nile, Lethe or all of them) Maud is the prototype of Matelda, the priestesses who keeps knowledge and fulfills holy vows. She is probably a goddess who acting the duties of a fair judge. Lesley and Maud are neutral characters, they don't belong to heaven or hell. I really hope they will appear in the third season. And I also hope to see a court scene in the third season. (it was a long way..)
1.Lesley. Is Lesley the prototype or spirit of the Tigris River? The Tigris River is one of the most famous and significant in the world. It flows through several countries in the Middle East. The Tigris and Euphrates are biblical rivers. From the Bible, you can learn that the Garden of Eden was located between the Tigris and Euphrates. The Tigris River (from ancient Sumerian - fast water) had a fast flow, unlike the Euphrates - a smooth flow. For this reason, the Tigris River was of great importance in ancient times in terms of transport and trade. What is not an international means of communication, like the company Lesley works for?
2.Maud. How can the Maud be conceptually related to the Tigris River? Matelda (abbreviated Maud) is a character in Dante's Divine Comedy. Dante meets her when he visits the Garden of Eden. She stands near the Lethe River and collects flowers. Moreover, in some texts it is found that the Tigris and Euphrates rivers flowed inside the Garden of Eden and were respectively the rivers of Lethe and Eunoe. 4.Another divine couple. There is a huge mirror opposite the bed, behind which there is darkness and no wall. I assume, Lesley and Maud are the prototypes not only of the Tiger and Matelda, but also of the Nile River and the goddess Maat. The Nile River is consonant with the name Neil Gaiman. Maat is the egyptian goddess of justice and divine law (about this and not only in more detail in the second part). Here I will once again mark the books on the bedside table. The bottom book is blue like a river. And on top there is a red and white book. Maat is often depicted in red and white clothes.
I read The Crow Road, as Crowley advised. I noticed some funny parallels with the GO. I will try to list them briefly:
The hero talks a lot about religion and the injustice of this world. This is similar to the argument between Crowley and Aziraphale in S2E3 (1837).
There is a scene where the hero enthusiastically talks about the creation of the universe and how beautiful it is. This, of course, is very similar to the scene of the S2E1.
At the end of the book, the hero gets a Bentley. There is nothing special here anymore, the car does not play a big role. But a Bentley is a Bentley and not every hero has one.
The main character has a crisis of faith. He argues with God and wants to comprehend him. There is an episode in the book where the hero and his girlfriend are having a conversation about God. His girlfriend says that God is incomprehensible. When you try to understand one part of it, you inevitably miss something else. So it is in the film - Crowley is a disappointed and doubting character, and Aziraphale accepts God without understanding him.
Rory is the hero's missing relative. I draw a parallel with Gabriel here. He's gone, and the only thing left is a matchbox. The story about Rory in the book also looks crumpled. But I found another reference.
Rory's favorite movie is Queen Christina (1933). This is another story about tragic forbidden love. And one of the characters is named Anthony (in the Spanish - Antonio). It's like in the movie "Inception" or like in "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" - we go deeper and deeper down the paper steps. In this story, Antonio and Cristina were going to board a ship and sail to the islands of moon and settle in a house on a cliff. (by the way the Islands of the Moon is an outdated name for the Comoros archipelago, located in the Indian Ocean). I like to think that Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet have taken over this cliff house.
Well, the main thing. The romance between the hero and his girlfriend. It is obvious throughout the book that the girl loves our hero. Our hero moves for a long time, but also comes to love. There is an explanation of love between the characters, a scene of intimacy, and then they are orced to part. But the reader can be sure that two lovers will definitely reunite. I think Crowley recommended this book in the first place because of the hopeful ending. Well, because of these few similar little things. P.s. I don't consider Rory's diary a clue (it's not even a diary , but separate notes . Rather, they are more like Agnes's predictions). But I would also like to see Aziraphale's diary in S3.

I didn't find anything else. But it seems to me this time and the event that happened then are important.
In 1920s, great-grandmother Maggie's record store appeared at the Aziraphale bookshop. In 1921, Aziraphale somehow gets several bottles of French wine (it is stored in the back room, that's the name of Maggie's store). Who was Maggie's great-grandmother?
This wine is for special occasions. Aziraphale and Crowley drink it in 1941 in a romantic candlelit setting. The second time they drink it is in S1E1, when they decide to act together. (Even in the final episode of S1, they drink regular champagne at the Ritz.)
Everything French in the film is connected with love. And Aziraphale has certain difficulties with this. He talks easily about divine love for people and the like. But when it comes to romantic love, it confuses him. (and he couldn't learn French.)
In general, I would be interested to find out more about the events of the 1920s and I hope to see this flashback in S3.

Staged S2E8 «Until They Get Home»
Michael and David say goodbye for a long time, while taxi is waiting for a David. He has to drive away to work. Michael tries to hold him back and talks about books and love. For a person who is ready to see references everywhere, this is a very fertile material (I hope the word "fertile" is appropriate here).
1 The ending of the book The Crow Road, which Crowley advised to read, is very similar to this scene. The characters come to mutual love at the end of the book, but they need to break up because one of them has to drive away to work. And a taxi is waiting for her. The hero tries to keep his beloved at least for a short time, comes up with something else to say and prolonging the conversation. If it's not a coincidence, it's very sweet.
2 The simplest thing. Michael talks about Ouroboros and how everything starts where it ends. With these words, the series begins, and the desire of many is for everything to end in the garden. Ouroboros is a symbol of eternity and the cyclical alternation of life and death. We can always see it on Crowley's belt.
3 Michael asks David if he has read The Last Question. This is a short fantasy and philosophical-theological story by Isaac Asimov. It starts with two friends drinking and arguing about eternity. Here's my theory "The Hidden Morse Messages."
1 SHE’S IN MA PHONE (or He's) Ma phone is an outdated name for a magnetophone. During World War 2, german engineers developed a device for recording sound on magnetic tape.
Crowley uses such a device and even gets inside - into it magnetic field. Together with Hastur. And we know that you can get stuck there, just like Hastur got stuck. Who exactly is this "She" or "He" who is in the "ma phone", I do not know yet. Perhaps the "dreadful eternity" itself.
2 HAVE A DREADFUL ETERNITY

4 PAUL’S OUR MIXING HERO Re-recording mixer Paul McFadden. He was actively involved in the creation of a huge of TV series. This man literally lives in the universe of a TV show. (Tommy Westphall universe).
He was not only a sound engineer, but also a dialogue editor. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the co-creator of this magic (secret dialogues and hidden hints).

Here is one of my generalizing theories of Morse messages. We are really stuck in the universe of Good Omens, like a hellish web. This universe is full of references to literature, music, series and movies. In addition, a large of dialogues in the series are written in such a way that you can read between the lines and find new meanings. We literally "lick the walls." That is, we examine every pixel on every damn frame. Heaven (the creators) suggests that we give up all hope of saving our long-suffering souls. But they cheer us up - it's a sweet eternal damnation. Heaven looks down on us because we will never be able to find all the hidden meanings.

I want to add to my theory. I thought about it and finally became convinced that the name Anthony J. Crowley means Antony Juliet. Crowley took the names of two Shakespearean characters who tragically died of forbidden love. Antony and Juliet both died from the sword \dagger. Their loved ones (Cleopatra and Romeo), respectively, died of poison. In the finale, Crowley was supposed to die from poison (holy water), and Aziraphale from a pillar of fire (a symbolic fiery sword). Now there is one less reason for a sleepless night.
Aziraphale and Crowley arrive at the Tadfield Manor. Aziraphale feels love in this place. The picture shows a man wrapped in a snake, and on top of the gate there is a small angel (simulate the Cupid). The word Tad is also an old-fashioned word for a little boy.
As soon as the heroes pass through the gate, they are shot at. Crowley was hit squarely in the heart, and Aziraphale was hit in the shoulder.

This is a work about a complex love story, in the twists and turns of political events. This story ended tragically. Antony kills himself with a sword, and Cleopatra kills herself with snake poison. Theory One (Maggie and Nina)
Nina and Maggie can symbolize the two sides of Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship. Maggie (this name means pearl, it is a symbol of hidden treasure and purity) this is the best thing about their relationship. It's their love for each other, for music and for the bookshope. This is confirmed by the jewelry on Maggie's neck (heart, snake and ring). This relationship is timid and it's hidden, like Maggie herself. Theory two (choice, coffee and death)
So. In symbolism, coffee means awakening, awareness and life force. The torch of the Statue of Liberty means enlightenment, knowledge and optimism about the future. First. Nina offers a choice of coffee or death. In other words, to be alive or to be dead, to wake up or to sleep. Secondly. The hand of death is depicted on the wall, holding out a cup of coffee, like the Statue of Liberty holds out its torch. I can make the assumption that if you choose death, you will still get something. Once again, you make a choice to take a drink from Freedom or from Death. The third theory (choice without choice or something else)
So. Metatron brings Aziraphale coffee. Almonds in the symbolism of Christianity mean divine favor and hidden truth. Aziraphale asks if he should drink it. Metatron says literally: "Of course, I ingested things in my time, you know". I suppose he also refused something or made a difficult compromise (perhaps for the sake of his high position). Next, a conversation takes place in which Metatron, with the help of manipulation and cunning, compels Aziraphale to accept his offer. Of course, the coffee wasn't literally poisoned. The poison was in his words and intentions. I clarify, Aziraphale still did not make his choice of "coffee or death" when he took a drink from Metatron. And also when he talked to Metatron. At the same time, an equally important conversation takes place between Crowley and the girls. Both Aziraphale and Crowley are confused, events have gained momentum too quickly. There is a climactic conversation at the end of which there is actually (almost) nothing new for them. They always abruptly end the conversation by being rude to each other as soon as the conversation gets a little heated. But this time, fate has put Aziraphale in front of a choice for which there will be no turning back. It is now that Aziraphale is making his choice. Between love and death, he chooses death. When Aziraphale goes up in the elevator, you can see that his face is painfully changing, like his face is cramping up. This effect is highlighted by flashes of light. I explain this by the fact his soul and love remained on Earth (death separated his soul), and he dies - that is, irrevocably changes. Most likely, Maggie also received "death", since we see that she fell asleep in her little back room (of the bookstore).
The fan community has noticed that Maggie and Nina's relationship parallels that of Aziraphale and Crowley. After a while, many agreed that Maggie mirrors Crowley, and Nina mirrors Azi. I've watched the series a thousand times and made my observations.
First of all, I think Maggie and Nina are the metaphorical souls of Aziraphale and Crowley - anima. The anima is the female part of the soul or psyche, the source of feeling and mood. And a conductor between a man's consciousness and his subconscious. So, I think Maggie is Aziraphale's anima. Here are my arguments. The store where Maggie works is called the "the small back room." It belongs to Aziraphale. There is always a "closed" sign on the door of Azi's store, but someone always comes to him. Maggie's door is always "open", but only Azi comes to her. I'm sure this store is a metaphor for the part of his subconscious where his inner female part lives. She is very kind and gentle, always ready to help and understand. She looks like Crowley in some external attributes, for example, she wears bright clothes, often changes outfits (almost every episode she has a new outfit). The place behind the counter where she spends most of her time looks like an old-fashioned car, like Crowley's (only this is a cute version of it. And this car is not going anywhere. It's like pieces of objects in dreams or in paintings by Salvador Dali). And what unites Aziraphale and Crowley is their love of music. That's why Maggie works in a record store. If you look closely, you can see jewelry on Maggie's neck. It's a heart with an eye inside, a snake biting its tail with a bird inside (a nightingale?) and a ring (an engagement ring?). Maggie is a complex and deep image that unites Aziraphale and Crowley into a single female loving image.
Maggie bluntly tells Aziraphale that she loves Nina. She gives him the record (clue) to finding love. And Azi is in fact making a pilgrimage to the place where the miracle of love happened. After this trip, his behavior towards Crowley changes a little and he becomes more courageous. Unfortunately, well-known events will not allow these things to develop.
Nina. So why is Nina not the prototype of Aziraphale, despite the fact that she is in a difficult relationship. I will say that Crowley is also in a difficult relationship. With Heaven, with Hell and Aziraphale himself. Aziraphale doesn't spare Crowley's feelings.

I think Crowley has heard enough of this kind of nonsense in the last 6,000 years. Yes, as viewers we don't pay attention to it, because Aziraphale is cute and handsome. Nina makes a whole nervous speech about how they're not friends. This is very similar to how Crowley would express all the accumulated offensive words said to him by Aziraphale. Later, Maggie and Nina talk in the rain. Nina says, "Of course I'm not your type." Maggie replies that Nina is wrong, Maggie likes her. He knows for sure Crowley likes him. By the way, in Wikipedia, the name Lindsay is of Scottish origin and means swamp (in very short). In the second private conversation, Nina asks Crowley: what exactly is the relationship between Crowley and Aziraphale? Just because Crowley is stunned doesn't mean he suddenly realized his love. He has known this for a long time. Songs from his repertoire pointed this out to us (such things reveal the inner world and motivations of the characters). I think Crowley is taken aback by how obvious and visible this relationship is from the outside. That you can talk about them so simply and casually. And that they can really be real.
