The Terror x Sumikko Gurashi - a silly crossover I thought up
Crozier is Tokage because I feel like they have a similar face, Franklin is Mogura because he wants to 'move below', and Fitzjames is Neko cause Neko's character bio says they're always worried about their appearance
Goodsir is the Mame Master cause the little bowtie reminded me of him, and Silna is Shirokuma for obvious reasons
Ebi and Aji are Little and Jopson (Nisetsumuri might make more sense as Tokage's steward, but I think Nisetsumuri can be Hickey, since he's a slug pretending to be a snail)
Everyone else, including these marines, are Tapiocas.
for our economy
the terror (2018) // eat your young
This was posted over a year ago but I’m astounded by the prospect of Silna being put in jail for presumably doing such a bad job at being a defense lawyer that she was also arrested.
I think the thought is that she wasn’t arrested and was just Goodsir’s lawyer, because Silna is much too smart to actually go to jail, as she wouldn’t get caught. But I can’t get over the concept at someone being such a shit lawyer that they get incarcerated as well just for defending someone.
Francis: DUI accident/manslaughter or assault on superior/officer
Fitzjames: con artist (tricks rich old men/women who want him. Let me have this one.)
Blanky: tried to stop bar fight and accidentally knocked a few people out
Hickey: murder, identity theft, conspiracy, etc
Hartnell and Manson: tried to sell drugs to an undercover cop, shoplifting, planned bank robbery (badly)
Tozer: assault (probably beat up someone in the audience of a football game or something)
Armitage: accidentally sprayed a government building while high and resisted arrest
Franklin: tax evasion, political crimes
Goodsir: ignored patients DNR to save them
McDonald: helped patient out of it
Stanley: medical negligence (put new nurse in responsibility for high risk patient who then died)
Gibson: wrong place, wrong time
Gore, Hodgson: got framed
Irving: harassment (make of that what you want)
Wall, Diggle: bar fights (multiple)
Dundy: gambling
Des Voeux: hate crime
Collins: drug possession, forgot to pay taxes/rent/etc
Silna: Goodsir's defendant
Bridgens: let too many kids shoplift without notifying
Little: hit & run (victim survived)... or accidentally helped criminal on the run escape
Jopson: robbery (^ criminal on the run that escaped)
This is Magnus Manson, he's bigger than the others, shown next to Harry Goodsir (who's regular sized)
More ellies: the icemasters
James Reid and Thomas Blanky.
Also everyone's golden boy
Harry Duncan Spens Goodsir.
Terror re-rewatch, episode 1. Really struck this time round by the contrast in 'manner' between Mr Goodsir (I'm using the mister here for a reason) and Dr Stanley. The historical men had different training (hence Mr - a designation of someone *without* a degree in medicine vs Dr) but also vastly different *experiences*. Dr Stanley was a war surgeon (after his training as a doctor), and per history as well as in Fitzjames' own story in the show, he served in a combat theatre, being the one who saved Fitzjames' life after the Chinese sniper wound. I think that really informs the clever choice they made to cast such an austere looking fella as Alistair Petrie and how he acts -- this is a character that's seen *a lot* of death, and has a requisite coldness about it when David Young is dying. It really contrasts him to Goodsir, who trained as an anatomist and doesn't have a medical degree (and this is his first voyage/service as a surgeon) - how much death has Goodsir actually seen? How much does that inform how 'clumsy but caring' he acts with David Young? So interesting.
Proof Harry D.S. Goodsir wasn't a doctor *yet* -- readable handwriting!
Obsessed with how in the Erebus muster book all of the officer’s signature are super fancy and neat and then you have Goodsir…
Bless his little heart
All killer no filler in this shitpost, 5/5 stars, will probably reblog again!

WOAH THE FIC IS SO GOOD. You ate everything including the table and chairs! The references, the plot, Tuunbaq, character development?! It’s so amazing!
It has come to my attention that the “under the ice” promotional photos are not well known in the Terror (amc) community
A fact that must be remedied
Also, shameless self-plug:
please read my fizier Zoo AU it’s a spooky and fun WIP and I want to give back to this wonderful community of artists and poets through any way I can ❤️❤️
Just a quick drawing practice
In the first twenty minutes of episode one:
Meanwhile, David:
Twink death jump scare
That man didn’t give a fuck about Billy’s bones. 😭
The bitch face Stanley makes when Goodsir-RESPECTFULLY- covers up David Young’s face during his autopsy is so fierce. This little psycho said “ok loser” with his eyes and then stood there like he’s watching a boring YouTube video, while Goodsir had to mutilate a fellow crew-mate. AND ALL FOR NOTHING!!!!!!
I mean…yeah.
This is fucked up…I’m (not) sorry.
