here's something stupid: the catcatfish

some quick facts:

they're nocturnal and tend to roam around while awake.

they have keen senses of smell and hearing, but terrible eyesight. despite this, they also have a tapetum lucidum, making their pupils "glow" in the dark.

their fur is short, dense, and oily to waterproof them.

they prefer a diet of mostly meat and are attracted to strong-smelling food like fish, cheese, and anything fermented.

the elongated dewclaw on each front paw is sharp, flexible, and nonretractable. it injects a venom that causes respiratory failure and cardiac arrest in prey and, in extreme doses, humans. veterenarians typically remove the dewclaw venom glands during the neuter/spay procedure.

they grow to an average of 1m and 23kg (3ft and 50lb) but can reach up to double that length and triple the weight!

Nico going nuts over pride month headcannons let's GOOOOOOOOO

Okay so Nico wasn't really familiar with the concept of pride month, like at all, he had no idea what it was

So one day Will was casually like huh pride is just around the corner and Nico's like??? Pride? Who's pride?? And Will's like OH GOD you don't know what Pride is?

And so he sat him down and told him everything and Nico was like gonna lose his shit because he was so excited. A month?? Dedicated to the gays?? The homosexuals?? That sounded like heaven to him. He read like a bazillion pride articles on the interweb because he was just bouncing with energy.

He ordered loads of rainbow stuff, streamers and balloons and flags, oh god the flags, and he completely covered his room with them, and then he covered the Apollo cabin because yes <3

And everyone at camp was just as excited, because a large part of them belonged to the lgbtq+ community and they always celebrated pride in a really fun way

Nico was probably the most excited tho, but he was also a little bit nervous because he wasn't really used to celebrating his sexuality and it was kinda hard after being closeted for so long but Will helped him with that

Believe it or not but Dionysus is intricate in celebrating pride at camp, it's the one occasion that he really loves and wants everyone to have a good time so he plans it all to the T as they say, and the first time he came to camp he was like y'all don't celebrate pride????? How do you live?? Peasants. And then he started the whole thing of celebrating pride at camp

They try and decorate all the cabins with themes being a certain sexuality, like they decorate cabins dedicated to certain sexualities and it's like a fun healthy competition

The Iris Cabin turn everything rainbow but everyone is okay with that <3

And Nico hasn't felt this happy and included in ages, he's like thriving and having so much fun that he's literally like why the fuck are we getting only one month???? We deserve half the year! And everyone's like yes.
