WAIT YOU CAN JUST CHEESE THE TRUE ARENA???
INFINITE MAXIM TOMATOES AS LONG AS YOU HOARDED ENOUGH FROM MERRY MAGOLAND
I've been working through RtDL DX's Extra Mode fairly slowly, so I'm only just getting close to finishing it up now. I got all 120 Energy Spheres earlier today, and uhhhhhhh
Fun fact: This dialogue is entirely new to DX! It's not in the original. I went back to my old file on the Wii and checked.
Haha yeah you little shit, we know you're planning to betray us soon (still love you though <3)
And then he goes on to explain a bit more, as seen above. But uhhhhhh,,, yeah!!! He's not actually Halcandran!!!! That's a new piece of Lore right there. My jaw dropped while reading it lmao
Anyway, moving on from that bombshell of a sentence, since we still aren't done with the full dialogue,
Remember that post I made a bit over a month ago talking about some of Manager Magolor's dialogue, where I was wondering if that dream of his regarding the theme park also applied to Main Mode Magolor?
Hell yeah this is such a victory for me I was so excited to read that dghsghfs
Magolor stole the Master Crown so he could make a giant theme park Confirmed and Canon and Real /hj
And then we also get a fun little reference to the Kirby Clash games!
A steal in Kirby's eyes, maybe, but that's only because he doesn't understand real-world currency.
And to close out this post, here are the last two lines of dialogue from this conversation!
Anyway. I'm losing my mind 💖

The Magolor Collab was a collab I got the honor to be a part of. I made the piece above, the fight against Lor EX.
Go check the whole collab out! There's a lot of wonderful art from fantastic artists.
So, I remembered I made this. Well, it's now complete!
I'm not surprised I got about half of them right. I mean, a lot where filler or just wild guesses. The one that shocked me the most was -SPOILERS- the Shopkeeper Magolor reference. Not that it happened, but how it was done.
All the way back in 2017, I theorized they were the same character; but I didn't expect for this remake to confirm it (though apparently it was revealed through a magazine to the Japanese fandom a while ago).
Anyway, I guess I did get BRAVO, depending on wherever you felt Extra Mode different enough... I mean, the changes are minimal. Putting more enemies instead of just resizing them. Even less food, making you rely more on souvenirs. I don't remember getting low in health THAT often.
Also, the Master Crown borrowing Marx's plant move and having iridescent rainbow counts as a reference to Magolor's "friend" as these are unique to him.
Our Space-Bending Chums!
I would love to see more art of these two in all sorts of dynamics.
I kind of seems like a random (not romantic) pairing. I guess that I can help but fixate in the similarities and differences between the two.
Currently, the two are at different ends of trustworthiness. But both seek friendship, particularly with Kirby. One sought for power, the other was sought to regain power. Both define a change or new era for the franchise. Elfilin is pure kindness, while Magolor nearly doomed himself in his hatred. Both are associated with dimensional rifts.
I wish for these two to become part of the main cast or at least stay recurring.
Lost in between dimensions, he is but a shell of his former self...
Kirbtober day 25 : Epilogue
Ok, with this one I went straight up to "How many biblical symbolism can I put in a kirby drawing ?" and the answer is quite a lot. Meanings under the cut, if you're interested
Ok, so first of all, I a not christian, I made recherches for this drawing but I'm not a expert. Don't hesitate to correct me if I'm worng !
I went with the most known figure of a repentant sinner, Mary Magdalene. She is an ancient prostitute who latter became one of the most close friend of Jesus. She have a lot of attributes I couldn't put here without making it look strange (like long hair, a human skull or a ointment jar), but I managed to show some.
For exemple, it is said that Jesus made "7 devils" go out of her. Still, it's unclear if those devils are symbolising deaseses or sins. Anyway, that's the reason I put 7 frut fragments insted of the 5 you have to get in the game.
Also, her two main color are the red and the green. What is interesting with those is that they can represent vitality and rebirth (respectively), but in the same time they are associated with the devil.
The thorns represent sins, with the apples gems to reinforce this idea, and add some red.
The tower represent spiritual elevation, and is inspired by the architectural elements we can see in the hub of magolor epilogue. The color of the sky behind have the same signification. The bottom is dark, while the top is more blue, blue being the color of spiritual enleignmant. And also the purple and gold relief behind magolor is here to mimic an aureole. So he is litteraly rising from the darkness toward the light.
And lastly, during my reserches, I learned that the colors of wears associated with repentence are brown and grey. Yep, I didn't even had to change that. Coincidence ? Who knows ! Hal seems to love putting obscure meanings where you expect it the least

"You have fought well, Magolor. You are almost free from the suffering you have cast upon yourself. Unfortunately, no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you fight the pain, no matter how hard you attempt to better yourself... your sins will never vanish.
And I have returned to ensure that your name shall be reviled upon those who have suffered at your hands.
You are no hero.
YOU WILL NEVER CHANGE."
There's no limits to ultimate power.
This piece has been waiting 4 years for its time.
Hi-res (it's free!)
