"Can you continue?" Artemis wondered, worry clear in her expression.
"You can make it?" Dawn asked.
"Will you be okay?" Aurora worried.
"Can we do this?" Tetra frowned, staring at the new land before her.
"Will we win?" Flora watched the islands slowly rise.

"Hello, thank you for calling Hero Send, what's your emergency?" A cool, pleasant, female voice asked through the call.
"THERE'S A GIANT PIG MONSTER CHASING ME AND-" A sharpened blade sliced where he was just earlier. The beast becoming human faster and faster. "ACK- HELP!!"
"Understood. Are you within our covered network of Hyrule?" The soothing voice asked smoothly. As if they had all the time in the world.
"YES! YES! I'M IN HYRULE FIELD! PLEASE SEND HELP!!! OH GODDESS, HE'S GOT A HORSE!!" He yelped as the once-pig beast now got on a skeletal mount and galloped towards him.
"Horseback, Hyrule field..." The woman's voice droned as sounds of very loud typing was resigered through the call. "All other heroes are currently asisting other customers. The closest is the Hero of Wilds. Would that suffice?" The woman inquired
"YES!" He shouted quickly.
"He's been informed and coming out there immediately."
"THANK YOU!!" He could only pratically cry tears of joy as the sounds battle as the Hero of Wilds came and made quick work of the beast.
"Hey Lullaby, how's the work been? Any new customers?" Malon asked, sticking her head into the room where Lullaby and several other Zeldas sat at several computers.
"Yes. A new call from Hytopia. I had sent Legend the on the case, since he has had work there before.
Malon nodded. "What about you Sun? Anything new with the different operations?"
Sun shook her head. "So far, nothing too bad has happened. What about you? How's been the new recruits?"
Malon smiled. "Doing quite well in fact. I was just talking with Tetra earlier about them. Sidon is particually excited. Miphia also told us many wonderful things about him."
Flora chuckled over to Malon's left.
Suddenly, the phone rang.
"Dusk you take it." Lullaby sighed, resting her head on her hands.
"Okay then."
"Hello, thank you for calling Hero Send, what's your emergency?" A female's voice asked.
"Hi, yes. Well there is this giant dinosaur with a turtle shell that breathes fire and is causing mass destruction." He spoke in his high pitched voice. "I was just tryin' to have a nice camping trip."
"Are you in our covered network of Hyrule?" The voice asked, more strained than before. Of course, he didn't notice.
"No, unfortunately not. But I will get the prenium package if I must. I am in the Mushroom Kingdom."
"I'm afraid that is a beyond our network systems. If you are looking for help in the Mushroom Kingdom, I hear the Mario and Luigi plumbing and saving service is special for that kingdom. I'm am very sorry for the inconvenience. I wish you luck and I truly hope you do not die."
A click sounded and Fable sighed, groaning in misery.
"Another call from the Mushroom Kingdom?" Dot asked, looking up from her computer, pity glinting in her eyes.
"That's the fourth time this week. I swear if I hear again about this giant, fire-breathing dino with a turtle shell I'm going to lose it." Fable groaned.
Dot gently patted her shoulder in apology.
(Captain Toad was upset. Mario and Luigi's plumbing and saving has the worst service. Plus! They aren't even free half the time. Also the Hero Send is so much more reliable. He growled in defeat, shaking his head sadly as Bowser roared in the background.)
Tetra sighed as she walked the hallways of the Hero's Send building. I don't understand why I can't take calls! She grumpily sat down on a bench and ate her sandwich.
"Hey its okay!" Aurora smiled as she sat next to Tetra, scooping bits of pasta into her mouth.
"I don't understand why I can't take calls!" Tetra exclaimed, waving her hands in the air.
"Maybe because the last couple of calls resulted in argueing matches? Also you broke our last phone, after getting a call from the mushroom kingdom again, by throwing it at a wall." Aurora blinked, wiping her mouth.
"Oh yeah.."
"Besides, you work much better as a captain and the boss of people. You're just a natural leader."
Hyrule sighed, after just healing an injured elder after a big attack, he wiped his forehead. Removing the sweat. Suddenly, he got a ding and stared at his comumicator.
Needed at Hebra mountain, please don't get lost!
Hyrule frowned, staring at the message.
"Is it just me, or has there been more attacks recently?" He asked Four, who had just helped him save a village.
Four nodded. "Yeah, and these monsters are not at all natural. Having this black blood and everything. I have an odd feeling that something's not right..."
"Yeah... Hey, which direction is Hebra Mountain? I forgot my map again."
"AGAIN?!"
"Hello and thank you for choosing Hero Send. Unfortunately our team is busy and unable to take your call. Your call is important to us. Please hold."
"THERE'S A GIANT OCTOROCK THAT'S DESTROYING MY BARN! NO I WILL NOT HOLD!"
Time groaned, his back aching.
"What old man. You having back troubles?" Warriors asked teasingly, swiping his sword through moblins that swarmed them.
"Well yes, I am old. But also I had to come the the Guerdo right after a call from Hyrule town."
"Ooh, that's rough."
"Oh its Mr Hero and Mr Pirate Hero!" Ravio exclaimed excitedly, clapping his hands together.
"Yes, hi Ravio. You called for help..?"
"Oh yes! Over there!"
"Ravio, where- uhm. Ravio... Do you know what kind of monster that is?"
"Oh my goddess! Legend!"
Ravio secretly cackled as the two heroes stared at the worst monster of all. A cucco. (Also Ravio never really needed help, he always loves when Mr Hero comes around though.)
Twilight's ears pinned back as the strange man approached. He growled as the young girl clutched his neck fearfully.
"Hey now, I ain't goin' to do nothin' with her." He said, his accently clearly fake.
Twilight narrowed his eyes and ran, with the child protectively on his back.
"Look! Doggie!" The child cried, rushing towards the wolf with odd patterns on him.
"Yes, doggie." Wild cackled quietly, watching Twilight glare at him totally worth it.
"Doggie!" the children cried, their tear soaked faces grinning with joy.
"Now this is Wolfie. Here let me show you something he really likes..." Wild explained.
(Twilight supposes it wasn't the worst. But he sure is going to make sure that the Zelda's hear his mind. He never signed up to be a wolfy companion. Then again, he supposes its not that bad. Seeing the children laugh again after a fire.)
"Welcome to the Hero Send. If you need any help, please see our recipetent. Otherwise, you may check out some of our finest items over in the 'Heroes Hoard', named after the one and only Hero of Legends." Mipha smiled as A goron walked past, lumbering over to the Heroes Hoard.
"Hey, where can I get the special lawn mowing service?"
"You can talk to Urbosa about that if you want. However, we are not responsible for pottery destruction." Mipha said with a complete straight face.
"Thank you!"
Oh for the love of the Goddess...
She stared at the ad of Hero Send. Her eyes flickered throughout the text.
"Are you in danger of death? Maybe you lost something important to you? Call 4166-hyaa to get the service of a Hero! They will be there instantly and you won't have to worry about a thing! Prenium packages and the off days include very unique and special heroes to help out with YOUR needs."
The Heroes include:
Out of Network Coverage: Hero of Time (Premium Package) best if you're on a time-crunch) Also capable of underwater rescues Hero of Legend (Premium Package) Useful for unexpected situations or traveling to alternate dimensions, also capable of underwater rescues Hero of Wind—Excels in sea-based rescues. Hero of Warriors—Usually an in-network coverage, can be called beyond Hyrule for an added premium fee. Usually has an army at his back.
In-Network Coverage (Within Hyrule) Hero of Sky—Premium Fee. Guaranteed to blast away any corrupted energies, wonderful for dispelling curses. Hero of Four—Four-for-one (premium upgrade required). can reforge legendary artifacts as needed, and fits into smaller spaces. Hero of Twilight—Excellent tracker. Can even act as companion wolf for added fee. If you've lost something, he can find it. Hero of Hyrule—(can be called out of network for a Golden Premium Package Fee) Excellent healer. Linkle- (Prenium Fee) Hero of Warriors's sister, very good fighter and is usually accompanied by a group of cuccos. Unpredictable and can get lost very easily."

The Hero Send. Its scoffed, its red eyes rolling at the name. They think by summoning those pesky heroes, that I will just what? Stop and lay down dead? Hylians so reliant on their devices nowdays. It would be a shame if everyone were to suddenly lose power.. It smiled wickedly, sharp, crooked, jagged teeth gleaming in the moonlight. It fiddled around with a wire before snapping it into two, forcefully cutting out the power quickly.
When the heroes do come, I will send them to an early grave.

Both of them died, came back, and had to restore their memories. They both deal with feeling like an intruder in their own body, feeling like they can't live up to who they used to be in their past life. WAR PTSD!! FLASHBACKS!!! They're both knights (sort of? This is a bit of a stretch lmao) Sun went to a knight school, Wild used to be a knight before he kicked the bucket.
I need more content of them interacting and just relating to each other. Because they really would relate. Their experience of dying and coming back is not a very common one, and having someone else to relate to would probably make them overjoyed. Also, Wild has already spoken to her. PUMPKIN SOUP STORIES
The pumpkins on Skyloft looked like actual pumpkins. Which was weird because Wild knew that Sky was supposedly the furthest removed from him in time so theoretically they should’ve had the most differences in their food. But no, the pumpkins were definitely the same as the ones Wild bought in Kakariko, just slightly less fortified.
Wild put the last of the butter into the pot. He was following the same recipe he used with his own era’s pumpkins but the results were looking good so far. He picked up the new ladle Four had gifted him last week (the old one had shattered against a bokoblin’s head a month ago) and stirred the soup.
Maybe it was the altitude or the very stressful week he’d had in Hyrule’s Hyrule but Wild didn’t notice someone approaching until they were already standing right next to him. He craned his neck back to glance at them before turning back to the stew.
“Do you need any help with the stew?” Hylia – no, Zelda – no, Sun asked.
“No. I’m basically done.” Wild said.
“Okay. Has the altitude sickness gotten any better?”
“Yeah, the green potion worked. I could probably sleep for a week, though.”
Sun smiled at this. “I get what you mean. I took a thousand year nap after my first time on the surface. Well, I suppose that was a little different – but still.”
“Oh, I was only out for a century,” Wild replied, picking up the ladle again.
“What?”
“Huh?”
Wild looked up again at Sun when she didn’t respond. He stirred the soup and set down the ladle. “So… why were you asleep for a millenia?”
Sun didn’t answer right away, instead choosing to sit down next to Wild with her gaze fixed on the pumpkin soup. She told him about growing up with Link on Skyloft and the knighting ceremony. She told him about falling to the surface for the first time, alone and afraid. She’d led her best friend through the unknown and dangerous new world. Then she’d sacrificed herself for a thousand years to seal the inevitable darkness away until she awoke.
She told him about The Imprisoned and Demise and even though Wild knew how Sky’s story went, he still listened. So when she reached the end of that story he told his own, or what little he knew of what came before and the life he’d lived in the aftermath.
He told her about his family, the one he knew not in his own memories but from the little pieces that Mipha remembered. He had a sister, once upon a time. There was no knowing if they’d died during the Calamity. He told her about becoming a knight when he was twelve and a royal guard just two years later.
Then he told her about the Calamity and the guardians and waking up alone and free a hundred years later. She listened when he told her about the months of preparation and happiness he lived before fighting Ganon once more in a fight both far harder and far easier than he could ever have imagined.
The pumpkin soup was done by then so Wild split it into ten portions and called over the rest of the group to join them. The stories went forgotten as Wind burned his tongue and Sky finally got around to properly introducing everyone to Sun.
They didn’t stay on Skyloft long, stories of unnaturally strong monsters across Hyrule calling them down to the surface for another week before they stepped through another portal and were gone.
The next time they returned, Wild let Sun scoop the seeds out of the pumpkins (he would never trust anyone with the cooking pot again after Hyrule managed to light his ladle on fire). They laughed as they worked, scars that had been too raw the last time they met now healed enough to make light of.
They talked about their lives between their own adventures and the first portal. Sun told Wild about her childhood misadventures with Sky and Wild in turn told her about Flora and her fascination for frogs.
Wild took a small pouch of Skyloftian pumpkin seeds to try growing in Hateno that visit. He smiled faintly to himself when he noticed it was missing one day. He turned in the direction of a familiar castle that would soon become the ruins he’d woken up to two years ago.
The pumpkins on Skyloft looked remarkably similar to the ones in Wild’s Kakariko.

Okay so it goes something like this:
Wild is trying to cook dinner on Skyloft. Note the 'trying' bit cuz I may randomly decide that it's funny to make him high as fuck on altitude or something just for shits and giggles.
Sun passes by and offers to help cook because she is less likely than any of the Links (including Wild btw) to burn the sun out of the sky (pun absolutely intended).
Wild makes some offhand comment about how he could "sleep for a day" and Sun's like "oh I've already been out for a couple millennia" (I've never actually been able to play SS so not sure if it's a thousand years actually T_T)
Wild says (0 hesitation, this is just pure unfiltered Wild energy here) "oh cool I was only ever dead for 100 years. A thousand is crazy."
Cue the pikachu shock meme except they're two-way spider-man multiverse pointing meme-ing at each other and then that brain explosion emoji. (Holy shit I sound insane. Never mind this is Tumblr. With all due respect, I'm assuming you understand at least some of this.)
And then there's the trauma dumping sesh with Wild being like "I got lasered and burnt to a crisp by a bunch of ancient metal eyeballs and died" and Sun's like "I got my soul eaten by this big-ass evil monster that turned out to be a fricking god."
Then they just look at each other and start cackling. Because obviously Trauma Funny™.

Okay I’m having big thoughts after finishing Skyward sword and they’re mostly about the shipping (I know I’m disappointing myself rn 😭)… and it’s NAMELY… Groozelink. But we’ll get there. First. Analysis. (This is also gonna swing back around to LU, not yet but we’ll get there! In case anyone is confused over the Sun and Sky naming convention)
Skyward Sword is the first Zelda game I’ve played to actually make me kind of ship Zelink. I’m not a hater, cross my heart, but like, most times I just really really don’t ship Zelink. Either canon isn’t enough for me or just.. idk, it doesn’t appeal to me. Most Zelink ships just don’t do it for me.
But Skyward Sword… from the beginning they were basically an established relationship which somehow didn’t annoy me. I thought they were kind of cute, like first love teens. Sun sticks up for Sky. Nice. Cute. No flaws or annoyances.
But then… DRAMA happens and it feeds my soul. I was pretty content in the first acts embarking on this quest for Sky’s kinda girlfriend. She endeared herself to me enough for my heart to be in it. And then you actually see her a few times and she’s got her own quest going on and it’s like cool… how do I fit into this? There’s something bigger than the two of them going on now. (I also just really like how they showed that she had a lot going on. It’s nice to see her have autonomy)
BUT THEN… 👀👀👀 Sun awakens her identity as Hylia and full on admits that she was using Sky’s affection for her to embark him on this quest which raises a lot of questions. Like:
Is Sun’s affections real or were they fabricated by the Goddess? How much of this was Sun and how much of this was Hylia?
I don’t doubt that Sun does have affection for Sky but if it were me, I would be HAUNTED. If I were Sky I’d be replaying that conversation through my head again and again. Especially in the post credit scene where she starts talking about how she wants to stay and protect the triforce… like… is that YOU or HYLIA??? And then she asks Sky what he’s going to do and it’s like… does he even have a choice? This whole game was kind of leading to the fact that this is what he was made for. It’s his fate. Of COURSE he’s going to stay with her. But what I want to know is does he ever think about that??? Does he ever wonder if Sun loves him back?
And if I were Sun I would feel guilty, and holy shit she’s literally cursed, in my opinion, of all the memories and knowledge of the Goddess she once worshiped. And if she does like Sky I bet she would wonder if those are her true feelings or if they’re just convenient to keep everything in line. Or maybe she’s scared of hurting him again. One part of her dragged him purposefully into an extremely dangerous quest and now she’s pulling him into even more serious responsibilities… (if I were to character analyze ss!Link I really feel like he’s the type to be really content with letting others take the reins for stuff like this. His quest was really out of necessity. In my eyes)
From here on it’s my own kind of really dramatic fanfic-esque take on everything so if you’re not down me way over thinking and reading into things this might not be for you
Because Groose… 😭 I’ve been aware of Groose as concept and the Groozelink ship for a while now but I always thought of it as a crack ship until I played the game and… there’s a LOT more there than I ever expected there to be. why TF was he there for like most of the key moments??? Why did they become a trio??? Why were they exchanging GLANCES in those cutscenes????
But anyways, I think they’d get married really soon after getting to the surface. Kind of a shotgun wedding. They’re basically going to be the first monarchs of Hyrule (or at least I think that’s implied?) they’re at least going to probably be in positions of leadership building the kingdom of Hyrule. Getting married makes sense. They love each other. Right?… RIGHT?!?!? That has to be real!! Out of everything at least they still have each other????
I think Sun starts getting eaten up by guilt. She doesn’t know if Sky is happy. He’s a pillar of strength next to her but he’s changed… of course he is after what he went through but she knows that he’s upset. He’s having nightmares, he’s stressed. She thinks that maybe he’s feeling trapped… And maybe she’s what’s trapping him into this stressful lifestyle. That maybe there’s some mistrust.
I also think maybe she starts feeling discontent with being the goddess reincarnate. She’s still mortal, she doesn’t want to be perfect. It’s getting to her… so….
She turns her eyes on Groose. Groose who’s gotten so reliable. So kind. So… so FINE.
So maybe one night she leans in for the kiss and of course Groose is kind of horrified. He’s also confused because he loved her for so long but… she’s married!! To his best friend. But. He also knows that she’s been traumatized and traumatized people do weird things. So he turns her down, with surprising grace, and begs her to consider her husband. He decides he won’t tell Sky, because at the moment that feels like it would do more harm than good. He is worried about Sun’s mental health though… but before he can do anything about that…
Sky tries to pull the exact same thing 😭😭😭
so now poor Groose is trying to figure out what to do bc how do you tell a couple they’ve both tried to cheat on each other and how do you gently tell two traumatized people that maybe they need to pump the breaks on building an entire new country, relinquished care of the triforce for a little bit, and focus on actually healing from what happened to them???
But then Sky gets eaten by a portal and gets thrust into another quest but with 8 other Link’s just like him.
Sky eventually tells the chain that he’s married to the goddess incarnate. He’s kind of horrified in himself for making a pass at Groose, kind, reliable Groose…, so he goes full wife guy iykyk. So for months he’s like: *fists clenched* IlovemywifeIlovemywifeIlovemywife-
To where it’s like… part of his personality.
And then they finally do get to Sky’s era and… at first they’re just as lovey dovey as you’d expect from how Sky’s been talking… but then… maybe over dinner… (don’t ask me how this happens just let me write my shitty soap opera) Sky figures out that Sun made a pass at Groose. Maybe he finds a letter Groose was trying to draft or maybe Sun’s been trying to get the guy to stay over while Sky’s been gone…
And holy SHIT do they have the fight of the MILLENNIA. But it’s not just Sky going: “omg I can’t believe you tried to cheat on me” it’s “HE’S MINNNEEEEE!!!!” From both of them

He’s so sad… he’s down trodden. He doesn’t want his best friends to fight like this… he’s going back to Skyloft for a while.
Sky and Sun promise each other to actually talk when Sky gets back home and when he does… they do. Because. They do love each other. They just hate feeling like pawns incapable of their own actions and fates…
And… they both really do like Groose. So they talk to him… apologize. And the rest… 😘 who knows lol.
They grow not only to love each other more authentically but respect each other in new ways too. They learn to live apart from each other but with each other as well… and. They do really love each other.
The end I’m tried I’m going to bed 😮💨 I hope somebody else had a similar thought process to me bc this game was genuinely kind of a mindfuck to me (but I loved it). But there’s SO much to unpack with Link in Zelda in Skyward Sword. Like, it had me going bonkers. If you liked this pls… pls talk to me. I NEED to talk about this with someone. I know most of the Link’s kind of have ambiguous families or are just straight up orphans but Sky’s origins are particularly mysterious to me. Like we intentionally know that Time is an orphan, his mother died getting him into the lost woods. Four has a father and grandfather, Wind has a grandmother and sister, Twilight has an adoptive family (I think?), Legend had/has an uncle, and Wild had a family. Wars doesn’t mystify me as much bc he’s working as a soldier, it can be assumed he grew up somewhere else, and Hyrule doesn’t have anyone in his game so he just very much has wandering orphan vibes (There’s weird non canon stuff from the 80s but I don’t count it).
Sky, however, is surrounded by people in their families. Like everyone else in the academy has a family member yet they don’t ever mention Sky’s. Like not even if they had died when he was young or anything, like Sun’s mom.
So, I created my own backstory to fill in the gaps as I play Skyward Sword.
I think the people of Skyloft found Sky as a really young child one day just sitting in front of the Goddess statue with a baby loftwing nestled into his side. This is confusing bc nobody has ever seen this child before and there’s no way he could have flown to the island at that age and on a loftwing of that size. So they send search parties looking for his parents but find nothing. The academy takes him in and the island kind of raises him.
I think Sun would bully him as really young kids, she’s very jealous of his close bond with his loftwing. Her father is kind of horrified that she’s bullying the orphaned mute kid so he forces her to be friends with him. She starts feeling really bad for how she treated him and pulls a 180 becoming his biggest defender and best friend. (I don’t think the bullying would be super serious just mean kid stuff)
She tries to teach him sign but he doesn’t seem to be picking it up so they just enjoy quiet company for a while. Randomly, like 4 years after his arrival he just starts talking. Probably something mundane to Sun like: “The sky is really pretty today…” and she’d be like: “Yeah it’s so pink-“ *neck crack* “whatdidyoujustsay”
And turns out he did pick up the sign she was teaching him he just… didn’t want to use it. Then people start asking him questions about how he got to the island but he genuinely can’t remember. He doesn’t even think he remembers his parents. He thinks he can recall a soft voice and strong arms but it might just be something he made up to soothe himself…
And yeah, I think it just remains a mystery.

BUT it’s Sky and Hylia. Like,,,Future/Present Day Hylia would have the memories and would have lived her life as Sun. So, to Sky, he’s like “ohmygod,,,my future wife :)”
I just think that the image of the Chain meeting with Hylia in this scenario would be so funny- like you have some people who are indifferent to Hylia, those who worship her, and those who don’t like her at all, and then you have Sky who is just head over heels in love.
Time : What do you want, Hylia?
Legend : Yeah, we’re a little busy solving your problems for you.
Hylia : shhh you’re not who I want to talk to.
Sky, already skipping over to her : hello my love :)))))
Hylia, picking him up : Hello, dearest! I’ve missed you!
And the Chain is just, losing their fucking minds because Sky is married to the Goddess
