I'm sorry, but the fact that Chat Noir's new power is so convenient that Marinette doesn't face the consequences of hiding a terrorist's identity from her own teammates because they MIGHT tell Adrien is the stupidest argument this series has ever presented

And they created the Magical Charms.

I've said a thousand times that the justification for not telling Adrien anything being "we have to protect him, he can't suffer," is horrible, and I disagree. As Alya said in the last episode, no one can decide for Adrien whether he knows or not.

Taking care of him shouldn't be an excuse to lie to him, or to anyone else.

Adrien more than anyone deserves to know who his dad was and the things he did and why. He deserves to grieve for him and hate him if he wants to. Not telling anything is keeping Adrien in a bubble, a little glass box where he's safe.

Ladybug should have told him that Gabriel was Monarch immediately after the fight ended. She doesn't know that Adrien is Chat Noir, so she doesn't know there's a risk of the world ending because Chat went crazy and used his power.

She had the Miraculous at that time, so the only risk Adrien ran by telling him the truth was crying his eyes out. PLUS, he wasn't at risk of being akumatized because Gabriel was dead and Ladybug was there.

She didn't even have to make the information public; she just had to tell Adrien.

So no, I don't believe there was no option but to not tell him anything.

And I'm a little tired of people justifying all this by saying "Marinette is only 14, she's a child."

I get it, but there's a chapter where they tell you that Ladybug is already mature enough to be considered AN ADULT and use her powers infinitely. Even though Mari is 14, she's been Ladybug for about a year, where she's seen more than one loved one die, fought terrorists, adult supervillains, and even faced Su Han and the heroes of New York as an ADULT. Why is it that when it comes to taking responsibility (and almost always around Adrien), she's "just a child"?

But back to the last episode: Giving Chat Noir the power to erase memories is stupidly convenient for the plot. Marinette is safe from facing the consequences for lying and can continue being Alya's best friend and Adrien's perfect girlfriend without any problems because then if it happens again, she'll just find Chat and ask him to erase their memories again because "they know a secret that I can't tell you what it is, but it's bad and they have to forget it."

Only Mari doesn't know that Chat is Adrien, and that's another big problem. Marinette doesn't want to know Chat's identity, so she can't trust him with things because "maybe he knows Adrien and can tell him" is stupidly convenient and only makes me think that Marinette really doesn't trust Chat enough to tell him who the villain they've been fighting since day one is.

At this point, I really can't blame Lila for hating Marinette (look what you've turned me into, writers!) Marinette is really annoying, especially when it has to do with Adrien.

Sometimes I feel like Marinette sees Adrien more as a trophy, something perfect she wants, and not the guy behind it all. But that's the fault of the writers and their annoying need to make Adrien perfect and devoid of personality throughout the seasons. Not even Chat Noir can get a power upgrade on his own; it's Ladybug who has to tell Chat what to do.

And then the episode tries to teach you that erasing Alya's memory is actually giving Marinette the freedom to choose when to tell the truth.

FREEDOM FOR MARINETTE. But never for Adrien to feel ANYTHING.

I'm going to really enjoy it when Lila decides to really attack, even if it only lasts 10 seconds until everyone forgives Marinette for lying and Adrien just says "I love you even though we've been dating for months and you lied to me and hid sensitive information about my family. It must have been really hard for you to hide that my dead dad was the man who psychologically tortured all of Paris and even me, just because he wanted to revive my dead mom who had been hiding in the basement of my house for a year. Do you want to go to the movies tomorrow?"

And I can almost bet that Chat Noir's new power will be used to get Marinette's memories back if she gives up being a guardian, in a very convoluted way typical of the show.

Like: "The akuma caused Marinette to have to give up the box and lose her memories. If we use the Chat Noir Miraculous, we can erase the consequences of the akuma and Marinette will get her memories back."

Or much worse.

Paris found out that Ladybug lied and they hate her. We're going to use the Chat Noir Miraculous to erase their memories so they won't mistreat her anymore :D yeii freedom

Marinette is awful

She is a selfish, gaslighting, manipulative young girl who twist the narrative in order to play the victim.

She is one of those people who think that being liked gives her leverage to be a closet jerk. Her sweet smile and good advice is only permitted to those she likes.

I've always noticed how the show would twist the narrative to make everyone else wrong just so Marinette aka Ladybug could swoop in and save the day. (Nevermind the fact that she caused half the problems and she rarely made any amends to the people she hurt)

But the people she wronged they are supposed to kiss her ass and be her friends. What kind of world is that?!

A world that caters to a double standard myopic heroine. This season proved how selfish and petty Marinette is and how much of a FUBAR this show is.

Chloe was the only good thing in this series. Was she nice? No. Good? She wanted to be. But she was a interesting character with a lot of depth and could have been something more then.... this tragedy.

I will take a interesting character like Chloe over the flavors of blah, bland, and boring that are Marinette and Co.

Evil triumphs when good people do nothing

A line quoted by the main protagonist and our titular heroine in season 1. Marinette aka Ladybug

And yet when evil was unmasked she chose to turn a blind eye to his actions.

She chose to turn a blind eye and turn of all sense of logic and sense of reason.

She chose to ignore her own conscious and all the cruel and psychopathic manipulative actions PAST AND PRESENT.

And she gave evil exactly what he wanted. She gave Hawkmoth/Monarch aka Gabriel Agreste what he wanted!

Did she forget how he emotional and psychologically terrorized her, her family and her friends. How he manipulated all of them. Did those events get erased from history?

No. She found someone else to blame.

She couldn't allow her love one's father name to be sullied so why not scapegoat the girl no one likes as the bad guy?

Why? Because she had so many chances to change and everyone around her has "tried" to "help" her. (Lies always make hypocrites feel better about their double standard morality.) But as her once close friend said "You'll never change."

Evil doesn't triumph when good people do nothing. It triumphs when "good" people play favorites on who deserves redemption and who is beyond it.

Marinette you are not a hero in my book. You are selfish, entitled, manipulative young girl who thinks because she's nice and people like you she can get away with bias behavior and playing favorites. You did nothing to help Chloe when she was suffering and instead you pushed her into the arms of her abuser. You knew Chloe was falling behind in class and you did nothing.

"Evil triumphs when good people do nothing" Without good people to hold us accountable or help us become better we fall victim to the sway of vices that we know.

That is exactly what happened. Evil triumphed because their were no good people to stop them.

Just complicit and blind eyed fools.

Chloe End Season 5

First off and pardon thou french

THE FUCK!

How dare they!

Marinette you did nothing to help Chloe. You told her to bond with her Emotionally abusive mother because she was no different. That was the one time you should have butted out.

You and your friends make rude and snide comments whenever Chloe used her Father power to get what she wanted (but no problem doing yourself as ladybug)

You were the Class Rep it was your job to look out for all your classmates to just the ones you like. The fact that you knew what Chloe was doing shows how irresponsible and favoritism you are.

Ms. Bustier you did nothing but expect the her classmates to teach her better. It's not her classmates job to.

And finally Andre Bourgeois

You neglectful ass. You are her father, her guide to becoming a good person. You knew what kind of person Audrey is and let Chloe emulate that toxic behavior. You taught Chloe her behavior she is this way because you never enforced any type of guidance or structure. You never told her no.

But now that you have your perfectly sweet vanilla daughter Zoe you can rid yourself of the one you and your monster of a wife screwed up!

All of you did nothing but contribute to Chloe downfall. Is Chloe a bully. Yes. But to call that justice is just cruel and hateful.

She needs counseling, therapy, meds. The last thing she needs is to be left alone with her Abusive mother.

In Werepapas: If the Amok DID escape and, in turn, kill Adrien, how would Ladybug explain all of that?

What would she say to the people who knew he was a senti? Would she say that she knowingly broke the rings and she killed him?

How would Natalie, someone who parented Adrien, and was ready to become his guardian react?

How would Felix, whose whole thing is to protect sentibeings and trusted Ladybug with vital information about him and Adrien, showing her where both of their Amoks are, react?

How would Kagami react?

What about Adrien's grandparents?

Would Ladybug explain that the Grand De Vanily daughter used a broken miraculous that slowly killed her? (Of course, there's a chance they already know that). Would she say that the Grassets son was a terrorist because of Emelies death? Would ladybug say that their grandson they've just met got killed by her?

What about Adrien's friends?

Would she tell them she killed their friend, Adrien was a sentibeing, and didn't warn him about who he was before it was too late?

How would Alya, who knows who Ladybug is under the mask, react to that?

How would Luka, who knows who both Ladybug and Chat noir are, react?

What about Nino, whose best friend died?

What about the public?

She has no excuse to lie about Monarch anymore because her main motivation was to "protect" Adrien, but now her main reason for lying is gone, so would she just reveal everything about Monarch then? Would she continue to lie because of.. reasons?

Adrien is a very liked person and celebrity, so if the people found out Ladybug both called Monarch a hero and killed Adrien Agreste, they would NOT be a fan of Ladybug anymore.

What about Plagg?

Adrien being gone would also mean Chat noir is gone, so would Plagg tell Marinette that Adrien was Chat Noir, or would he lie and tell her "he quit"? Who would be the next chat noir? He can't choose Kitty Noir, because choosing any of the miraculers would risk the new holders' identity.

Of course, there's Bunnix that would probably help because, well, Adrien's Chat Noir, but what if he wasn't Chat Noir? Would bunnix still help Ladybug? I mean, having Adrien gone isn't really a world ending event, and even if many people get Akumatized, the miraculers could still fight them.

Ladybug killing Adrien Agreste would honestly just ruin the crap out of Ladybug's reputation and not be a physical world ending event, so would Bunnix really need to help?

What if the bunny miraculous didn't exist? What would happen then???

Anyway, I hope someone makes a fanfic about this, because there were, and ARE, a risk in Adrien not knowing he's a senti.

We all know Mari is really creepy and hella stalker like and the fact that her friends enable her is

super creepy.

So I wanna address that in my fic. I'm thinking it starts out with girls inviting oc to Mari's house to hang out and help come up with an idea on how to get Mari and Adrien together. Oc at the time has noticed Mari being kinda weird but nothing alarming. Just typical clutz too nervous to talk to her crush stuff. Also at this time oc is Adrien's friend (cause baby needs more than Nino and Mari's friends) and decides to might as well listen to what they have to say and get to know the girls she doesn't hang out with better.

Needless to say she gets creeped out really quick.

Hearing the strait up stalker crap Marinette's been up too puts her on edge and she quickly confronts her. Making some of the other girls(like Juleka) realize that this isn't right and agree.

This leads to a fight and the girls who agre oc and oc herself get asked to leave. Tension gets high. Oc starts watching Alya and Marinette like a hawk. She tells Nino about everything and how bad it's gotten. Nino realizes it's way worse than he thought and agrees to try and reign Alya in/ convince her to cool it. Nino and Oc aren't necessarily friends but they're both Adrien's close friends and have genuine respect for one another The second she or Nino notices Mari doing something stalker like they tell the other and oc confronts her. Telling her to stop it and get some help and how she's no better than Adrien's fans acting like this. She also warns Mari that this is how it's going to go. If she does it again she's telling her parents everything. Do it second time she's going to fight her. Third time, she's calling the cops. Fourth time parents are being called, cops are being called, she's fighting Mari, AND she's calling Gabriel. She doesn't want to resort to that cause of the potential risk to Adrien, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

If she's taking it too far please let me know. In my previous ask that had to do with lb she does take it to far, buts that's to have character flaws. Here though the situation is different, it's not her overreacting cause lb just been kinda an ass. This is actual dangerous behavior that makes her afraid for Adrien. I don't really want this to be a character flaw moment. Let me know what you guys think.

Hey ya’ll im sorry if Im bothering any of you but i need a little advice l. Im starting to draft a work with my own miraculous oc and how to handle the whole Marinette thing. I want to make it clear that her actions are not ok with how she treats my oc and chat noir, but my ocs reactions to it aren’t right either. Their justified, but not the right way to handle things. For a bit of background my oc has the miraculous of the badger(aka the miraculous of resilience) and it gives her the ability to be immune to her opponents attacks for a limited amount of time. She also has a bit of a gruff personality but mostly lives by the don’t fuck with me I won’t fuck with you thing. It’s when the someone fucks with her part that she tends to go a bit too far(a reaction to being bullied as a kid for being half Sioux Lakota, living on a res, and(these were the real asshole kids) for having a brother who was mia for awhile and came back disabled). Meaning she’s learned not to handle things well as the only way to get those kids to shut up back home was often times violence. While I don’t want it to get to that here I do want her to take things too far.

What I need help is figuring out what she does and how long she does this for. So leave a comment on what should happen

Regardless though what she does leads to ladybug having enough and confronting her. The two of them end up having a full on screaming match. The chat gets involve(at first as a peace maker) and gets tired of the way they treat each other and him. They all get into a three way fight and only stop when one of them almost gets akumatized. They all force themselves to calm down and talk. Telling each other their issues, problems, and feelings. As well talking about how they were all wrong for treating each other poorly and how they haven’t really been a team for a long time. Maybe they never really were to begin with. They don’t necessarily make up but do promise to try and be better and talk to one another whenever they have an issue and swear to be willing to listen. As well as confront master Fu together to insure there won’t be anymore favoritism. There issues aren’t immediately solved but it’s a start.
