do you ever hear the intro theme to a video game and you get really emotional and your heart feels really weak like it’s coming back home and it’s basically like that whole world you love so much summed up into one epic song and you just want to fucking cry a lot because this is the video game for you and nothing else ever can even compare to the feeling you get when you hear that one fucking bit of music

oh my god yes thinking about a lot of games here pokemon pearl and diamond and platinum too technically but i grew up with pearl version mystery dungeon explorers of sky animal crossing wild world super mario galaxy i played that one off the 3d all-stars collection recently it brought actual tears to my eyes like i haven’t played it in years and now i can experience my childhood again not only that but i can play it leagues better because i’m better at video games now bouldergeist used to be hard as hell now i can beat him in one go and have fun with it screw the timed purple coin comets though anyways this turned into a huge ramble about super mario galaxy i apologize
