droplets

lightly acidic water

drooping off a roof tile

where will it go?

why is it so slow?

lightly acidic water

sliding down the pavement

irritation creeps through me

why am i the only one to see?

lightly acidic water

paints blues around my umbrella

i look and see yellow

maybe it’s just me

do i like to mope around?

maybe not, but it helps

or maybe i’m just skeptic

rain can only do so much, right?

lightly acidic water

drooping off my cheeks

i always saw yellow

now i see blue

lightly acidic water

sliding down my shirt

or maybe it’s staining

it’s not so slow anymore

lightly acidic water

maybe it was never that acidic

maybe it was just me

pain comes in droplets, after all

The faintest whisper of rain, and a distant clap of thunder. It is here that I find my peace. Underneath the weight of pressure changes am I released.
