Learning recipes passed down from my mother’s side of the family is so interesting but also kind of annoying because there are no measurements whatsoever. You just have to look at it and go, ‘yes, that looks about right’.

I have a tendency to obsessively follow recipes so I don't mess anything up so this makes it kind of hard for me my grandmother could speak like 5 languages but she couldn't read/write in any of them so nothing is written down (she lived in a refugee camp when she was young and immigrated to the US as a young adult) it's like just pour some milk and add some flour no we don't know how much but it will turn out fine
