Transformers is really interesting because on one hand, it's essentially about how war is pointless and eventually looses its meaning as time passes, but it's still fought because both sides still hate eachother, and on the other hand the war was started by a silly straw.

anything transformers is gneraly anti war propaganda(not a bad thing) Anyway I'm actually very interested in the actual politics of autobots and deceptions, but its never mentioned in anything I've seen and the community doesn't talk about itThus far The only thing I've been able to gather is that deceptions are pro slavery, and autobots are anti slavery. Also I think the auto bots may be closer to the original goal of the war because the war happend because of an unfair cast system, and Optimus treats auto bots (and humans) with respect, empathy, kindness ect, but Megatron is cruel to literally everyone except a select few and even then he can be an ass, over all Optimus a lot closer with who he fights with, he considers them family, where as Megatron places himself so far above other deceptions (like how a cast system works). Sorry for rambling and bad grammar, but does anyone else think about this or have an answer, or know a series where this is answered because there's genuinely no way I'm the only person who thinks about this.

Guys do you think that Papyrus would see glimpses of Gaster as a babybones and be scared because he doesn't remember him but he would swear that the terrifying mass in the corner of his bed is wearing the face of someone he recognizes? And Gaster during that time is unable to communicate or touch him and just scares him until babybones Papyrus runs to his older brother to feel safe only to see him overtime in small flashes of his memory and depending on the au he remains scared or actually becomes lost in his own mind trying to figure out why he knows him. He doesn't know who he is, but he knows he's lost him.

Idk that's just something i think about

Tall Lupin.

Saw a post about short Lupin earlier , which is valid. But consider: Lupin being just taller than everyone. Even James. To me, he isn’t as tall as a lamppost- he IS the lamppost. If you put one of those hard hats with lights on it that miners use on him, he would get immediately get hired as a streetlight by road authorities.

Everytime he hugs Sirius, he just eclipses him. Sirius disappears into his hugs. He goes MIA.

James is looking for Sirius? Check Remus’ arms! He’s probably hiding out in there.

also: he can reach the highest shelf in a grocery store.

CONSIDER my gamers. Just consider it.

Both Catra and Adora defying death at the height of their character journeys in such a powerful and subversive way. Whenever I think about it deeper, both deaths were very traditional and demeaning ’feminine’ deaths. Catra had a man literally controlling her body and mouth to fight against her friend (and lover) for seemingly his own amusement, and when she resisted, he disposed of her by throwing her off a cliff (the gwen stacy method), she was barely present in the entirety of the episode, her agency stripped (not for the first time), the emotional stakes were felt, but by Adora not catra and how bad she felt to see catra this hurt, even though catra was the one in pain, we don’t focus on catra’s perspective at all during it, so if she did die at the end of it, she would have just been another name to add to the list of female love interest violated and killed by the hand of men for the development of the main character’s story. Except she didn’t die! that wasn’t her end, but her beginning, that part was just a step on the rest of her life that she grew and recovered enough to have power to control. To change.

As for Adora, there’s no shortage of self sacrificial women and female martyrs both in history or fiction, it’s been romanticised and encouraged since the dawn of the patriarchy for girls to grew up being conditioned into giving up their own needs, desires and even lives and health for the convenience and goals of others, and when they obey that to the extreme (like with the failsafe) they’re celebrated as the ultimate heroes. The perfect women are dead women after all. but instead Adora doesn’t die not just because of her power or sense of duty but because she learns to be selfish and choose something for herself for once and that’s what ultimately saves her. She rejects her conditioning and the message of what a hero must be and choose to live for her own self. Self love is radical.
