Unfinished Doc, dated Dec 14, 2022

I’ve been told the best remedy is to let it all out somehow, somewhere. I cannot share my deep dark secrets with those close to me, for fear of worrying them too much. They don’t deserve to carry my burdens, especially when most of those are just results of my perpetual inertia.

 The things I haven’t done in my life are entirely my fault as far as I see it, I am not a victim of circumstance. I could’ve tried harder so many times before.

 Things are too fucked up now and none of it is an easy fix. While I am patient, I am a slut for instant gratification. The thought that I would need to plan, and wait, and wait, for things to get better is terrifying. How the fuck do I do this? How do I climb out of this hole? I don’t have the energy to force myself.

 Something in my mind shuts down at the thought of doing things simply because I “must”. I think when people judge me as immature and childish they’re not wrong. I am unable to click on the “Responsible Adult” persona, instead opting for being a ghost in my own life and in others’.

I’d rather not be perceived so as not to be asked for anything because I have nothing to give. I’m unmoored and empty and failing. Every single day I wake up and
 great. Another fucking day. More of this shit in this body that is fucking horrible and I don’t have discipline to make it bend into the shapes I wish it would.

 I wish I was more like my sister who can make herself do the things she needs to do. I don’t even do the things I want. There are so many things I want. And I can’t move to get them. I want to cut my legs off, I want to cut my arms off, I want to put my brain in salty ice water. I want to shave my head, I want to be choked. Or touched, desired would suffice. I wish I had a sex partner. I am not done learning and experimenting. But he seems to be done. He’s always been done. I’m stupid enough to stay here.

 Oh, yeah, also I don’t have any money. I love his company but I need more. I need so much more. I’ve gotten used to being ignored so I do my own thing. But I miss being flirted with and I miss being desired.

 I miss her, because she made me feel fucking amazing but now she does’nt want me anymore either. Because at the end of the day, nobody really does. I’m too complicated and too flawed and too married which is really fuxcking ironic if you think about it. At this point its just a “dont have sex with me “badge because I don’t deserve sex therefore I don’t get it or get it half-assed or get it taken away.

Im just as good as anybody im just as bad as anybody

I wish i knew how to play guitar but for real. OR again discipline to actually learn. I want to learn new languages. I want to teach. I want to cook, I want to hike and swim and travel and read and paint

I want to make masterpieces, take on large intricate projects but I guess I have to start somewhere and I have no idea where to start. I want my art to be in museums. Not international, that doesn’t matter. But locally, that would be nice. For people to want to go see it and stand next to it and observe and see every single tiny detail that I will undoubtedly put into it. A canvas seems so limited, a body seems so limited. I want infinite space for creation. The world could be my canvas if i only wanted it to. Right?

I dreamt I was at a party at someone’s house. I was hiding out in the bathroom. My

Eytukan, The Plant.

I've had Eytukan for about 2 or 3 months now and it's been quite a beautiful experience he already had a few leaves when I get him but today I noticed it was time for him to get his first leaf cut off. plants grow too fast for me :( I wish they could stay small and cute but watching them grow up is an amazing experience honestly. he is so healthy and strong he loves his new pot I had to report him bec he wasn't doing so well in the training pot which I found kinda weird but once I got him in this Terracotta pot he just jumped back to life. I have also been misting him every few days and he always looks so perky the next day >.< it's so cute to see, oh and he's not the only plant I own, like 40 plant's but this on is just soo cute i had to blog about him XD

Run

And then I ran . Why did I run ? You see sometimes you run just so . You’re simply going somewhere minding your own business and a wish rushes through you . You set of in a sprint . There’s no big reason behind it . You run to feel the wind on your face , to feel your hair jumping behind you in disarray , you run to feel how your heart starts pumping faster and faster , your legs weighting down . You run to feel yourself cut through time and space , even if just for an itsy bitsy tiny little part . You run to feel . Sometimes when I’m going home or from some errands usually im the evening , I set of in the quickest sprint I can manage , snaking my way through the people on the street and accelerating accelerating accelerating . Not because I’m a runner . I don’t go jogging in my free time at all , I don’t pursue it as sport . But I run because I can .

Anthony's diary ~ April 1, 1999.

Part one: Dream diary #1

"Hello fellow readers from above, or maybe below.

My name is Mr. Anthony. And I'm so TERRIBLY TIRED OF CALLING ME M______ AT MANY TIMES!

I'm a man now okay?...

.. Sorry to get tempted to you because I'm not feeling well to this one. Whole. Dream. So I make it myself to just draw a dream and it looks like...

This."

"The dream I heard before is no clothes and it just looking at the void, until my next dream will be having small clothes, and looking to this reflection that.. I have fewer colors at it. I wonder how it's new name could it be like.. Me."

"It just another dream after I dreamed about looking in this white, whole void..

And I got new, not-so-fitting clothes.

I hope my next dream will be different, and I hope it's better than my stupid same dream about nothing.

My name's Anthony. And I will dream different later...

Or..

Even weirder."

Yooo! Similies and Metaphors are the BEST tip that I could always remember..

10 Ways to Add Sizzle to Your Boring Writing

Writing that sizzles captures the reader's attention and keeps them engaged from start to finish. Whether you're an experienced writer or just starting out, there are several techniques you can use to make your writing more exciting and dynamic. Here are ten detailed ways to add sizzle to your boring writing:

1. Use Vivid Descriptions

Vivid descriptions bring your writing to life by creating a rich, immersive experience for the reader. Instead of relying on generic or bland language, use specific details that appeal to the senses. Describe how things look, sound, smell, taste, and feel to paint a vivid picture.

In Detail:

Visual Descriptions: Use color, shape, and size to create a mental image. Instead of saying "The car was old," say "The rusty, olive-green car wheezed as it pulled into the driveway."

Sound Descriptions: Incorporate onomatopoeia and detailed sound descriptions. Instead of "The music was loud," say "The bass thumped, and the high notes pierced through the night air."

Smell and Taste Descriptions: Use sensory language. Instead of "The food was good," say "The aroma of roasted garlic and herbs filled the room, and the first bite was a burst of savory flavors."

2. Show, Don't Tell

"Show, don't tell" is a fundamental writing principle that means revealing information through actions, thoughts, dialogue, and sensory details rather than straightforward exposition. This approach makes your writing more engaging and allows readers to experience the story.

In Detail:

Actions Over Exposition: Instead of telling the reader "Jane was scared," show her fear through her actions: "Jane's hands trembled as she fumbled with the lock, her breath coming in shallow gasps."

Dialogue: Use conversations to reveal character traits and emotions. Instead of "John was angry," show his anger through his words and tone: "John's voice was a low growl as he said, 'I can't believe you did this.'"

Internal Thoughts: Reveal characters' inner worlds. Instead of "Emma felt relieved," show her relief: "Emma let out a long breath she didn't realize she was holding and sank into the chair, a smile tugging at her lips."

3. Create Relatable Characters

Relatable characters are crucial for keeping readers invested in your story. Characters should have depth, including strengths, weaknesses, desires, and fears. When readers see aspects of themselves in your characters, they're more likely to care about their journeys.

In Detail:

Character Flaws: Give your characters realistic flaws. A perfect character can be boring and unrelatable. Show how these flaws impact their decisions and relationships.

Character Arcs: Ensure your characters grow and change throughout the story. A well-crafted character arc can turn a good story into a great one.

Background and Motivations: Provide backstories and motivations. Why does your character act the way they do? What drives them? This adds depth and makes them more three-dimensional.

4. Add Dialogue

Dialogue can break up large blocks of text and make your writing more dynamic. It reveals character, advances the plot, and provides opportunities for conflict and resolution. Ensure your dialogue sounds natural and serves a purpose.

In Detail:

Natural Speech: Write dialogue that sounds like real conversation, complete with interruptions, pauses, and colloquial language. Avoid overly formal or stilted speech.

Purposeful Dialogue: Every line of dialogue should have a purpose, whether it's revealing character, advancing the plot, or building tension. Avoid filler conversations that don't add to the story.

Subtext: Use subtext to add depth. Characters might say one thing but mean another, revealing their true feelings through what they don't say directly.

5. Use Strong Verbs

Strong verbs make your writing more vivid and energetic. They convey action and emotion effectively, making your sentences more powerful and engaging.

In Detail:

Action Verbs: Choose verbs that show precise actions. Instead of "She went to the store," say "She dashed to the store."

Avoid Weak Verbs: Replace weak verbs and verb phrases with stronger alternatives. Instead of "He was walking," say "He strode."

Emotionally Charged Verbs: Use verbs that convey specific emotions. Instead of "She was sad," say "She wept."

6. Vary Sentence Structure

Varying sentence structure keeps your writing interesting and prevents it from becoming monotonous. Mix short, punchy sentences with longer, more complex ones to create a rhythm that engages readers.

In Detail:

Short Sentences for Impact: Use short sentences to create tension, urgency, or emphasize a point. "He stopped. Listened. Nothing."

Complex Sentences for Detail: Use longer sentences to provide detailed descriptions or explain complex ideas. "As the sun set behind the mountains, the sky transformed into a canvas of oranges, pinks, and purples, casting a warm glow over the serene landscape."

Combine Different Structures: Mix simple, compound, and complex sentences to maintain a natural flow. Avoid repetitive patterns that can make your writing feel flat.

7. Introduce Conflict

Conflict is the driving force of any story. It creates tension and keeps readers invested in the outcome. Without conflict, your story can become stagnant and uninteresting.

In Detail:

Internal Conflict: Characters should struggle with internal dilemmas, fears, and desires. This adds depth and relatability.

External Conflict: Introduce obstacles and challenges that characters must overcome. This can be other characters, societal pressures, or natural forces.

Resolution: Show how conflicts are resolved, leading to character growth and plot progression. Ensure resolutions feel earned and satisfying.

8. Use Metaphors and Similes

Metaphors and similes add creativity and depth to your writing. They help readers understand complex ideas and emotions by comparing them to familiar experiences.

In Detail:

Metaphors: Directly state that one thing is another to highlight similarities. "Time is a thief."

Similes: Use "like" or "as" to make comparisons. "Her smile was like sunshine on a rainy day."

Avoid Clichés: Create original comparisons rather than relying on overused phrases. Instead of "busy as a bee," find a fresh analogy.

9. Create Suspense

Suspense keeps readers on the edge of their seats, eager to find out what happens next. Use foreshadowing, cliffhangers, and unanswered questions to build tension and anticipation.

In Detail:

Foreshadowing: Drop subtle hints about future events. This creates anticipation and a sense of inevitability.

Cliffhangers: End chapters or sections with unresolved tension or unanswered questions to compel readers to keep going.

Pacing: Control the pace of your story to build suspense. Slow down for crucial moments and speed up during action scenes.

10. Edit Ruthlessly

Great writing often emerges during the editing process. Be willing to cut unnecessary words, tighten your prose, and refine your sentences. Editing improves clarity, pace, and overall readability.

In Detail:

Cut Redundancies: Remove unnecessary words and repetitive phrases. "In my opinion, I think" can be reduced to "I think."

Focus on Clarity: Ensure each sentence conveys its intended meaning clearly and concisely.

Proofread: Check for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors. A polished manuscript reflects professionalism and attention to detail.

being a writer leads to a genuinely helpful but also very stupid kind of mindfulness where you'll be having a sobbing breakdown or the worst anxiety attack of your life and think "okay, I really need to pay attention to how this feels. so I can incorporate it into my fanfiction."

THEPROCRASTINATINGNOVEL -- A Writerblr intro

This blog used to be something else, but I recently deleted everything and turned it into my writerblr! So, yayyy!

« About Me »

Howdy! I'm Alex, I am 18 years old, and I've been writing since I was 10. I started this Writerblr to track my progress to hopefully motivate myself to actually finish one of my many, many wips.

I mostly write fantasy, but I'd like to try writing a wide range of genres. I used to read a LOT. I still read, but I'm getting myself back into the habit of reading more.

Bi, She/They. I’m a Leo and INTP. Im a very shut in person and don’t get the chance to leave my house very often.

Interests;

đŸŒ” Anime & Manga

đŸŒ” Video games

đŸŒ” Reading & Writing ofc

đŸŒ” Pedro Pascal ♡

« Writerblr Stuff »

I have a bad habit of spending hours daydreaming about my wips and obsessing over details and planning, and by the time I have the motivation to write, no words come to mind. It is very frustrating, but I can sometimes combat this by switching from typing to writing on paper to force the words out.

♡*My current wip is an unnamed novel series that I have been planning for a year and a half. The first draft is being written right now, so a lot is still up in the air. So far, it's a collection of snippets over various docs, notion pages, and journals that I'm wrangling into a book. It has magic, gods, and a super hot witch-warrior who goes by Percival. Also my son, Alden. We love Alden.

I plan to post weekly writing updates, showcasing progress or where I'm currently at. These updates should come every Saturday at the end of each week, if you wish to follow my journey :)

✩ POV: 3rd person Omniscient is my usual writing style for any wip

« Goals »

➾ To have the first draft of my wip completed by the end of the year. If not, I wish to at least have a good chunk of it done. Hopefully life doesn't get in the way too much

➾ To meet and make friends with other writerblr's. Don't be afraid to come talk to me!!

──  ïœĄïŸŸâ˜†: *.☜ .* :☆.───

I saw the tv glow and turned it’s brightness up.

I was happy to see that other people’s tv’s also glowed, but I noticed that my tv was a different shade than theirs. Soon after that, I noticed that my tv was a completely different colour. It was a deep green, turning into white, turning into grey, turning into black.

I turned the brightness of the tv down, but left it just enough to always play in the background, like a little song in the back of my brain that I can’t remember the words of.

I never saw a person whose tv had the same colour as mine and it made me feel like no one would appreciate it. It was quite an interesting colour; I did plenty of research on it, but the people who did have their tv that colour never really got to be a real part of society.

I turned the brightness up again this year—not by a lot, just a bit to make out the colours—and while looking at it, I realised something. If I were to let my tv glow, it would mean never truly feeling a part of this world.

Love was such a big part of a person’s life. So why didn’t I feel any of it? I loved my friends, I loved my family, I loved my pets. Why wasn’t I cable of loving on another level? Why didn’t romance strike me as this beautiful thing rather than this tedious chore? I wanted to rip my heart out—why wasn’t it feeling things like the other hearts felt them? Why didn’t it speed up at the sight of a pretty woman or handsome man? Why did it just pump my blood and not my feelings?

If I were to let my tv glow, it would mean embracing who I truly am. But I don’t know who I truly am. And I haven’t known for a really long time.

Despite it all I will live. Life wants to fuck me over? I will live fucking despite it. Pushes me around beyond my breaking point and further? I will live despite it.

Even though something is clawing at my insides, even though I realize how intolerable my pain is when I sit down and let everything sink in, even though the cookies I tried to bake tasted like frozen butter, even though dad hurt me again and mom didn't quite understand again,

I'm going to go on despite.

Why?

Because one thing bigger than my self-pity is my ego. And I am playing the most egotistical game with life.

And I will win. (Also my cat is rlly cute she makes me want to live)

when It happened // 9.20.21

There was no sound when It happened.

No alarms, no fanfare;

The gates of heaven and Hell didn't open up, neither angels nor devils spilled onto this mortal plane.

But everyone felt it.

How could you not? When the entire world is suddenly turned upon its head, all at once, it's impossible not to notice.

When factions no one has ever heard of, and ones that no one ever even knew existed, suddenly pop up all at once, and begin fighting themselves and each other in equal measure, everyone takes notice.

No one ever cared to stop, and think about what we could learn from It, or that maybe, just maybe, It actually did some good. It was just so much easier to pick up our long-lain swords, and begin fighting over the bad. And it was even easier, now that It had given us new blades to hurl at one another.

If I had had the time to think, I bet I would've thought it sad that the walls we had finally torn down were rebuilt so easily. But I didn't. After all, I too had noticed. And I too now had swords, old and new, thrown at my feet.

And it saddens me to say that I wielded them with a fervor that I would never hold again.

They loved to smile.

They always smiled.

Smiled here, smiled there.

But it was empty.

Devoid of a soul, devoid of a life.

Hollow on the inside, full on the outside.

Their smile was bright, it was infectious

Their laugh was like wind chimes, the ones that made you feel lighter.

Their eyes were as clear as a cloudless sky, as perfect as a diamond.

But it was all hollow on the inside.

Within them lay cobwebs.

Within them laid something deep and dark that never once showed its ugly face.

It tightened its coils around their neck day by day.

But despite it all

They smiled.

Their smile was bright and fun, quickly soothed any child’s cries.

Their smile charmed those they walked past,

Enamored those they met.

It even made others jealous.

‘How could they be so happy?’

‘Why must they flaunt their happiness around?’

But no one ever thought they were overcompensating to hide what was true.

No one noticed the coils trying to drown them.

No one noticed their smile start to fade. No one noticed their presence begin to lessen and lessen.

No one noticed

Until their smile

Disappeared.

~~~~~~~
oh i love writing melancholy stuff so much.
Innocence.
Crayons scattered on the floor around a bright-eyed being
who doesn’t seem to have a worry about where they place their feet.
Running up and down hallways giggling, attempting to escape being caught.
Chasing butterflies through the grass, bare feet jumping over roots jutting out from the ground.
You’re told the words ‘Savor your childhood’ without knowing what it means.
What does it mean?They never explained, they simply smiled and said, ‘You’ll see, everyone does’.
It never made sense when it mattered. Why didn’t it?Why couldn’t you have understood?
Why did you wish so often, telling yourself you couldn’t wait to grow up.
Everyone says that.
Then suddenly everyone is scrambling to turn back the clock.
What happened?
You tell your parents that you’re big and can be ‘like the grownups’ but then suddenly
You wish that they would hold you like a little kid again.
What happened to their gentle smiles as they kneeled down to tie your bright-colored shoes that flashed with light when you stepped so you’d spend your time stomping wherever you could just to see that flash of color.
They didn’t make them in your size anymore.
What happened to free time after school? Now you’re chained to endless amounts of paper.
Digital paper.
You’re constantly told ‘You spend too much time on your phone’. Too many screens.
It’s not like no one tried to make that not happen. We spend our entire lives on a screen.
Our education now depends on a screen.
Everything seems to depend on a screen no wonder we start to also.
What happened to counting fake plastic pennies and the colorful cubes to use for math? Now it’s a page put up on a screen that you’re told to write down. Needing help seems like a chore.
Why ask?Everyone will stare at you. Avoid attention. What happened?
‘Never be afraid to ask questions.’
But what if those people made you afraid in the first place.
As a child you were convinced that you knew. You knew because you could ask.
As a teenager.
You pretend to know because the only thing you do know is that you know nothing.
Not knowing is weakness.
It’s not endearing.
Innocence wasn’t explained as a child.
Angels were innocent.
Someone who didn’t do something bad was innocent.
But you never know the true meaning of innocence until it's ripped away from your hands and you watch life take it away from you when you aren’t ready to think about it being gone.
That’s what growing up is.
The loss of innocence.
~~~~~ i don't have a lot of experience with writing poems so apologies if it has poor quality. i'm open to constructive criticism but please do be nice i'm only 14 lol. writing is a passion of mine and i do plan to make more posts involving poetry or other.

Steps to Write a Cunning Femme Fatale

Steps To Write A Cunning Femme Fatale

1. Establish Her Persona

Define Her Allure: Craft her as enigmatic, charming, and intelligent. She should draw people in with her charisma and mystique.

Give Her Depth: Avoid clichés by giving her a unique backstory, motivations, or vulnerabilities that shape her actions.

Choose Her Strengths: Highlight skills like manipulation, resourcefulness, or combat abilities that give her an edge.

2. Shape Her Role in the Plot

Decide Her Purpose: Determine if she’s an ally, antagonist, or morally gray character, and how her actions drive the story.

Design Power Dynamics: Show how she wields control or influence over other characters, often exploiting weaknesses.

Weave Intrigue: Keep her intentions ambiguous to maintain tension and mystery.

3. Build Her Relationships

Contrast With Others: Develop relationships that show how she contrasts with or complements other characters (e.g., a vulnerable hero or a rival villain).

Show Complexity: Explore the layers in her interactions, such as her ability to mix truth with deception.

Reveal Gradually: Unfold her true nature over time, leaving both characters and the audience guessing.

4. Create a Striking Appearance

Use Symbolism: Incorporate elements of her look that reflect her personality, like bold colors, sleek outfits, or unique accessories.

Convey Confidence: Show her self-assuredness in the way she moves, speaks, and holds herself.

Highlight Ambiguity: Blend qualities that make her both alluring and dangerous (e.g., a soft smile hiding sharp intent).

5. Show Her in Action

Establish Power Plays: Showcase her intelligence and cunning through strategic actions, manipulations, or daring risks.

Create High Stakes: Put her in situations where she must outwit others or face consequences.

Balance Strength and Vulnerability: Let her excel in some areas while occasionally exposing a flaw or fear to humanize her.

6. Develop a Satisfying Arc

Choose Her Outcome: Decide if she triumphs, meets her downfall, or remains ambiguous at the story’s end.

Reflect Growth or Decline: Show how her actions shape her destiny—whether she evolves, succumbs, or holds her ground.

Tie Back to Themes: Ensure her arc aligns with the overarching themes of the story, like betrayal, love, or revenge.

Examples of Femme Fatales in Stories

1. Film Examples

Phyllis Dietrichson (Double Indemnity): Uses charm and manipulation to pull others into her schemes, embodying the classic femme fatale archetype.

Mal Cobb (Inception): A tragic yet dangerous figure, her motivations blur the lines between reality and illusion.

Nikita (La Femme Nikita): Balances vulnerability and lethal skill, creating a layered and compelling character.

2. Literature Examples

Catherine Tramell (Basic Instinct): A brilliant, enigmatic writer whose intelligence and seduction make her a master manipulator.

Milady de Winter (The Three Musketeers): A cunning and ruthless antagonist, she uses her wits and charm to outmaneuver the heroes.
