there is just no way that laura lee didn’t experience some form of abuse as a kid
my laura lee headcanon is that she was molested as a kid. maybe from inside the church or from within her family. it’s just a feeling.
i don’t know about y’all but what happened at the pool always felt intentional to me. the look on her face before she dove in head first was all too familiar. and the way she clings to her innocence? it’s very common for victims who have repressed memories of childhood sexual abuse.

Nat and Lottie found Laura Lee in their afterlife wilderness realm! No sign of anyone else yet.
Nat ended up not giving a shit that Lottie re-named the Pit that she found when she died, “Pitseleh” (the name Nat gave him) to “LL Bean” in honor of Laura Lee and also because the puppy is adorable. A few weeks later, they found Laura Lee in a small but nice shelter miles out while exploring. They found a few more cabins and houses but no more people. So now the 3 of them stay wherever they want and do whatever they want. Anything they need eventually shows up. They are still figuring out how the realm works, but they are happy and thriving.
