it's his twelfth time making your order, and he twiddles his thumbs as you grimace slightly through large sips only to push down your feelings and smile, "yuuta, it's perfect, absolutely perfect—"

yuuta sighs, dismayed. "you hate it."

your smile turns sheepish under his pouty gaze. "no, seriously, you got it right this time, i swear. i love the hint of hazelnut you've added!"

"i didn't put any hazelnut in it," yuuta's brows furrow, clearly unconvinced and wilting as every second passes. despite the interesting taste, the coffee in front of you sits almost half empty. his eyes meet yours once again, renewed. "i'll get it right next time. i'll remake your drink as many times as i have to, until it's exactly how you like it!"

he turns around, murmuring and fussing about how many pumps of syrup he needs for the next time, what temperature, the angle of how he stirs—it's enough to make the commute and the hassle of going to a coffee shop nearly half an hour away from where you live worth it, if only the cute barista could just stop and realize you're not really there for the coffee.
