Omg such a huge massive fan of ur writing!! I find myself coming back to your page every so often just to make sure I haven’t missed an update from you!
I’ve been experiencing some serious academia-based burnout lately and just found that I’ve really been neglecting my mental and social health lately and just been bad at overall taking care of myself.
I’d love it if you could write the cubs in this type of scenario going through something similar, and finally getting the support they need (though they try to resist at first fs). Usually Leo is my ultimate comfort character, but maybe this one would be slightly more impactful if it was Finn-based. He’s typically the most social of them all and can def relate to the academia burnout aspect of it, I imagine. It’s totally up to ur discretion - however you choose to write it, if it’s a prompt that appeals to you! I’d read anything you write ☺️
I think academic burnout is kicking us all in the ass right now, at least a little bit. Hope you got some rest, friend, and that all your exams and assignments went well! Make sure to drink lots of water and eat well, pretty please. :)
Have some Finn DEFINITELY not following those instructions. O'Haras give 110% all the time to a fault, so sometimes they need a little TLC, it seems. Luckily, Finn has one husband who is a GREAT chef and loves to feed him yummy things and another husband who loves to distract him from school work, ever since they went to Harvard together.

“Finn?” Leo called as he opened the door to their apartment. When nobody answered, he furrowed his eyebrows and toed off his shoes. “Finn?”
Still no response. Leo chewed on his cheek and thought for a moment. Maybe he was napping.
He poked his head through their bedroom door, but there was still no sign of Finn. The bed was perfectly made from this morning, the corners tucked in nice and neat like Leo liked. Finn’s book was on the bedside table, untouched. Leo felt an anxious feeling rise up in his throat.
“Finn!” he called again. The bathroom door was open, and there was nobody. He went to look in his old bedroom, now their home office. “Finn- oh.”
There he was, hunched over his computer and scribbling on a notepad. His hair was a bit messy, as if he had been tugging on it, and Leo could hear the music coming from his headphones, it was so loud. He was muttering to himself and tapping his foot. Two coffee mugs were pushed to the side.
“Oh, honey,” Leo sighed. He approached cautiously and tapped on Finn’s shoulder. “Sweetheart.”
Finn whipped around, eyes wide in confusion before they settled on Leo. He took off his headphones and offered a smile that was strained at the edges. There were purple circles under his eyes. “Oh. Hey, baby.”
“Hi.” Leo leaned down to kiss him softly. “What are you doing?”
“Finishing this paper,” Finn said, swiveling his chair back around to face his computer. “I’ve gotta get it done before practice tomorrow. And I’m doing my bibliography, but I can’t find one of the sources I used, I’m sure I had it downloaded, and I-”
“Baby,” Leo whispered. He massaged Finn’s shoulders, not missing the way he leaned back into it. “I think you should take a break.”
“No, Le, it’s fine, really, I-”
“Finn,” Leo interrupted, a bit more sternly. “You’ve spent every free second in here and writing, it’s not good for you. You’re exhausted, honey.”
Finn looked like he wanted to protest, but he didn’t say anything. He let out a defeated sigh and rubbed his eyes. “My eyes hurt.”
“It’s because you’ve been sitting in front of the computer for so long.” Leo kissed his temple. “I’ve barely seen you in days.”
Finn bit his lip nervously. His hands were fidgeting with his hoodie strings. “I’m sorry. I’ve been a bad husband lately.”
“No, you haven’t.” Leo spun him around in his chair and knelt on the floor. He ran his hands up Finn’s strong thighs and rubbed gently. “You’ve just been busy. Too busy. It’s not good for you.”
Finn’s eyes were anxious when they met Leo’s own. “I don’t- this was such a stupid idea. Studying while playing hockey.”
“No.” Leo shook his head and cupped Finn’s cheeks. “It’s not stupid. Lo and I think you’re so smart, honey.”
That got Finn to smile a little. “Yeah?”
“Of course.” Leo took his left hand and kissed over his rings. “We also think that you’ve been spreading yourself too thin. You want every essay and piece of work to be perfect, Finn, and it’s wearing you down.”
“I know,” Finn said softly, nervously. He reached down to play with some of the curls by Leo’s forehead. “I don’t know how to- I don’t know, not give one hundred percent into something.”
Leo laughed. “I think that’s an O’Hara thing.”
Finn laughed with him. “Yeah. Yeah, probably.” He peeked out at Leo through his lashes. “Can you read over my essay, please?”
“Of course.” Leo used Finn’s thighs as leverage to stand and then bent down to give him a kiss. “Here,” he said, coaxing Finn into standing, too, then sitting him down on the futon they’d put in there. He took out his phone and handed it to him. “You call Lo and we can talk to him for a little bit. I’ll read over your essay and finish your bibliography, okay?”
“‘Kay,” Finn replied, opening Leo’s phone. “The source list is in my notebook.”
Leo sat down at the desk and shook his head fondly. “Why don’t you just immediately cite your sources when you use them? It’d save you this whole process.”
“Because the thought of doing that is just too much, and it’s so boring.”
Leo clucked his tongue. “Well, you’re lucky I love you.” He went into Finn’s files and snorted when he found an article title to match a note in Finn’s notebook. “And I found the source you were looking for.”
“What? Where?”
“In your files, honey.”
“What? I looked over that a gazillion-” He cut off, then made a happy sound. “Hey, sweet thing.”
“Salut,” came Logan’s soft voice. “Ça va? Where’s Le?”
“Here!” Leo called, fingers flying over the keyboard. “Finishing Finn’s bibliography.”
Logan let out a sigh. “Mon rouge, you always do this. You always wait until the last minute to cite your sources.”
“That’s what I said!”
“Hey,” Finn pouted. “This is not ‘chastise Finn time’. I am a burnt out boy.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.” Leo stood and crossed over to Finn, leaning down to kiss him on the lips softly a few times. “So sorry, sweetheart.” He wrapped an arm around Finn’s shoulders to draw his head to rest against his chest and looked down at the phone with a smile. “Hi, Lo.”
“Salut,” Logan said again. He had a cup of tea in his hands and his sweatshirt hood was pulled over his waves. “How are you?”
“Good.” He kissed Finn’s forehead. “We’re feeling a little tired from schoolwork right now, so we’re gonna take a break.” He looked down at Finn pointedly. “And then make a schedule so we don’t run ourselves to the ground.”
Finn put on an innocent smile. “Oops.”
“Rouge,” Logan sighed. “Are you okay?”
Finn nodded, but he was cut off by a big yawn. “I’m better. Like seeing your face.” He winced and looked up at Leo again. “And yours. Sorry, I haven’t been around much.”
“It’s okay.” Leo kissed his temple again then went back to the desk. He sat down with a heavy sigh. “Jesus, Finn, these are a lot of sources.”
“I’m thorough.”
“You’re something, all right.” Leo ran his finger down the list in Finn’s notebook. “Gimme fifteen minutes, then I’ll read it over for you. Then I’ll make us dinner. I’m thinking bolognese.”
A groan sounded from the telephone. “I miss your bolognese.”
Leo smiled even as he typed. “Don’t worry, sweetheart, I’ll make it when you come up next week.”
“That’s right,” Finn said, a little more jovial now. “We get to play our biggest Frenchie rival next week. I’m very excited to pin you against the boards.”
“Fish,” Logan laughed.
“I’ll pin you against other things, too, don’t worry,” Finn reassured. He let out a soft sigh. Leo could imagine the fond tilt of his head. “Can’t wait to hold you.”
“Moi aussi, mon mari. Me, too.”
Finn and Logan chatted for a while, Leo piping in every now and then. Eventually, Finn decided that the futon was too far and came to stand behind Leo and drape his arms over his shoulders. They propped Logan up on the desk against one of the used mugs. Leo was mostly focused on the essay in front of him, but he leaned into the soft kisses Finn periodically pressed to his face and neck, calmed by the feeling of his warm skin and Logan’s deep voice.
“‘Kay,” he said after a while. “All done.” He turned slightly to look Finn in the eye and smiled. “It’s good. It’s really good, honey.”
Finn tapped his hands rhythmically against Leo’s chest. “You sure?”
“Positive.” Leo leaned up to kiss him and there was the clicking sound of a screenshot. He laughed and pulled away. “Logan, honey, you have a million of those. Your phone will run out of storage.”
“Ouais, I don’t care.” Logan let out a satisfied sound. “I love them. I love you.”
“Love you, baby,” Finn said back. He kissed Leo’s forehead. “And I love you, sunshine. Thanks for helping.”
“Always.” Leo saved Finn’s essay and shut down the computer. “You can read it one more time tomorrow with fresh eyes, but then you’re turning it in, deal?”
Finn wrapped his arms around Leo as he stood. “Deal.” He gave Leo one last kiss and picked up the phone. “C’mon, Lo, baby, we can go help Leo make dinner.”
“Ouais, I want to watch his back.”
Leo snorted. “You always want to watch my back.”
“Because I love it.”
“Yeah,” Finn agreed as they made their way into the kitchen. “You’ve got a sexy back, sunshine, it’s not our fault we can’t keep our eyes off of you.”
Leo smiled at him as he took ground beef out of the fridge. “No?”
“No. All of our brain cells leave when we see your back.” Finn settled Logan on the counter and leaned the phone against the napkin holder. “Can you see?”
“Ouais. Can you ask Leo to take his shirt off?”
“No!” Leo laughed. “That’s how I burn myself. You always ask this, and it’s the same answer every time.”
“Damn,” Finn said defeatedly. He turned to Logan and shrugged. “At least we tried, baby.”
“Okay.” Leo clapped his hands and turned to cup Finn’s hips. “Sit, honey, I want you to relax. You want some tea? A snack?”
Finn’s smile turned soft. “I can make myself tea, peanut butter.”
Leo shook his head. “No, I’ll do it. You’ve had a tough day.” He kissed Finn’s nose. “Let me take care of you.”
Finn feigned a sigh. “I guess I can let my blonde bombshell hottie take care of me.”
Leo rolled his eyes. “Go,” he said with another kiss. “Go, sit and talk with Lo. I’ll make you tea, then dinner. Then we can snuggle, ‘kay?”
“M’kay.” Finn wrapped him in a hug. “I love you.”
Leo tucked his face into Finn’s neck. “Love you.” He tapped Finn’s hip and pulled away. “Now, go, please.”
Finn obliged, picking up the phone and going to sit at one of the stools on the other side of the counter, swinging his legs happily as he began to talk to Logan again. It made Leo warm inside to see him so relaxed and willing to accept some care. It was hard for Finn, not being able to just fix things and do things for everyone around him. But Logan was a good distraction, always willing to just sit and listen to Finn ramble on about whatever thought was running through his beautiful, beautiful brain. Leo set his cup of tea in front of him with a kiss to his cheek, then went back to preparing the sauce. He was stirring it on the stove and waiting for water to boil for the pasta when the chatter behind him abruptly stopped. He turned around to find Finn watching him and pointing the camera of the phone at him. He smiled, confused. “What?”
Finn shook his head. “Nothing,” he said with a grin. He winked. “Just watching your back.”
Leo let his head fall back, his cheeks warming. “Shut up.” He set the spoon he was holding down on its spoon rest and went to stand behind Finn, wrapping his arms around him. The camera was flipped back so Logan could see them. Leo kissed the top of Finn’s head and peeked out at the phone screen to meet Logan’s gentle eyes. “Love you.”
Logan smiled. “Je t’aime, soleil.”
Finn leaned to the side so he could kiss Leo’s cheek. “Love you, baby. Thank you.”
Leo just traced the purple under Finn’s eyes gently. “You’re welcome, our little scholar.” He pressed their foreheads together. “You’re going to be such a good teacher.”
And when their smiles were pressed together and there was another sound of a screenshot, they pulled back, laughing, to look at Logan, who was smiling proudly at them through the screen. Leo let the warm feeling fill him up for a moment before kissing Finn again and going back to the stove, blushing at the wolf whistle Finn did at his back. He knew that Finn would sleep heavily tonight, and that the stress of his Master’s wouldn’t go away in just a day. But they could manage it. And then one day, in the near future, Leo would kiss him goodbye in the doorway as he went off to school in those slacks and button downs that were currently in his closet, his glasses perched on his gorgeous nose, and, most importantly, the rose-gold bands on his fingers and around his neck. And maybe, if they played their cards right and negotiated, Logan would be there to kiss him goodbye, too.
Leo let out a content sigh at the thought and dumped the pasta in the water.
I feel like I can so see Finn getting so frustrated when they are married and all live together again when they have to separate for longer than a day he gives the vibes that he would be like
“You want me to sleep alone??? Sleep without my husbands??? Isn’t that illegal???”
Oh, this man is such a lost puppy when he has to sleep without them. I think he just kinda wanders around the house talking to himself (or to a special fluffy stuffed duck who will be making a reappearance). Like, he comes home from work and stands in the living room like: Okay. Hubbies not here. What do I do?
Then he ends up reheating leftovers or making himself pasta and watching his husbands play their game and IMMEDIATELY conks out. Like, dead to the world asleep. And then he wakes up, runs, goes to work, comes back, and POOF! HUBBIES ARE HOME AGAIN!!!!!!! And he does a little happy dance.

Logan breathed in harshly as their alarm sounded, stretching with a grunt. He winced as his back cracked. He heard Leo let out a sound and felt the bed move as he turned the alarm off. Between them, Finn let out a protesting sound. He buried his nose further in Logan’s neck and squeezed him tighter. “No.”
“Hm,” Leo sighed with a soft laugh. He rolled over and pressed slow kisses to Finn’s neck. “We gotta go, baby.”
“No, you don’t,” Finn whined. “Hockey is stupid.”
“Ouais, so stupid,” Logan agreed drily. He wrapped his arms around Finn’s shoulders and kissed his red waves.
Leo stood and stretched, crossing over to the closet and taking out some clothes for himself and Logan. “Lo, did you pack clothes for tomorrow?”
“No he didn’t, because he’s not leaving,” Finn said. “And neither are you.”
Leo turned and smiled, head tilted and gazing at them fondly. “We’re sorry, honey. Tampa is calling.”
Finn groaned. “It’s Saturday. Snuggle Saturday.” He looked up at Logan and pouted. “You won’t leave me, will you?”
Logan kissed his forehead gently. “Just for a day, rouge.”
“Yeah,” Leo agreed. “We literally fly back late tonight, we’ll have the whole day tomorrow together.”
“But I said no. They can’t steal you from me, you’re my husbands.”
“They’re not stealing us, rouge,” Logan placated, running his hands through Finn’s hair. “We’re just going on a little trip.”
“But you’ll be so far away. We finally get you back, and then you and Le have to leave me. Stupid NHL,” he scoffed. “Stupid NHL making me sleep without my husbands.”
“Oui, c'est tragique.” Logan made to move, but Finn let his weight go heavy on top of him. “Finn,” Logan laughed.
Finn just grumbled under his breath into Logan’s chest.
“Lo, sweetheart,” Leo said. He came over and brushed Logan’s hair out of his face and kissed his temple. He was in his gameday suit. “It’s almost four, we’ve gotta go soon. I’ve got breakfast sandwiches all wrapped up.”
Finn reached up and grabbed onto Leo’s bicep. “No.”
“Yeah, baby.”
“No, baby.”
Leo sighed exasperatedly and kissed Finn on the mouth briefly. “I love you.”
Logan got a nice view of their gorgeous faces when Finn pressed their foreheads together. He kissed each of their cheeks and rubbed Finn’s back. “Mon mari, I have something for you.”
Finn looked at him with surprised brown eyes. “You do?”
“Mhm.” Logan sat up with a grunt, Finn following and rubbing his eyes with the heel of his hand. Logan kissed his cheek and stood, walking to their dresser. He searched for a minute before smiling. He turned and held up the stuffed duck.
Finn smiled. “Charlie?”
“Ouais.” Logan caught Leo’s twinkling eyes then walked back to the bed. He held Charlie up and wiggled him in front of Finn’s face. “Salut, mon rouge,” he said in a high pitched voice.
Leo and Finn burst out laughing, loud in the quiet early morning. Logan smiled satisfactorily as Finn took Charlie gently in his hands. He kissed the F+L over Charlie’s heart and smiled up at Logan. “Thank you.”
Logan leaned down to kiss him slowly. “He helped me on lonely nights away from you. I thought he could help you, too.”
Long arms wrapped around his waist and warm lips kissed his jaw. “Maybe I can sew on another L,” Leo whispered.
Finn bit his lip around a grin. “I’d like that.” He hugged the duck to his chest and looked up at them through his eyelashes. “I still think it’s stupid that the NHL makes us sleep in separate beds, though.”
“Well,” Leo said. “I think we can all agree on that one.” He rubbed his palms up and down Logan’s abs. “It’s time sweetheart.”
Logan changed into his gameday suit, standing still dutifully as Leo put some pomade in his hair to tame his bedhead. Finn was still obviously begrudged by the whole situation; he always had his arms wrapped around one of their waists. He did, however, carry Charlie the whole time, which Logan took as a good sign. He didn’t like the thought of Finn lonely in their bed.
“Okay,” Leo finally said around four-thirty. He was standing with their bags by the front door. “Time to go, flight is in a couple hours.” He cupped Finn’s jaw gently in his hands and kissed him. “I love you. We’ll be home before you know it.”
“Love you,” Finn whispered. He adjusted Charlie in the crook of his elbow and yawned with a sound akin to a puppy. “Can we sew Charlie tomorrow?”
Leo smiled. “Of course we can.” He kissed Finn once more and opened the door. “Bye, sweetheart.”
“Bye.”
Logan shouldered his own bag and stepped into Finn’s space, lifting up his shirt with one hand to feel the warm skin of his torso. He rubbed his other thumb over the purple skin under Finn’s eyes. “Please go back to bed for a bit, mon coeur.”
Finn shook his head with another yawn. “Gonna go for a run then get some coffee with Celeste. Then I’ll go to bed early tonight after your game, and then you’ll be back. Call me first, though, as soon as you can after the game finishes. Can’t sleep without hearing your voices.”
Logan shook his head fondly. Finn was so chatty, even this early in the morning. “Mon rouge.” He kissed him in slow draws. “Je t’aime.”
“I love you. Have a good game.”
Logan kissed him once more and took Leo’s outstretched hand. Finn leaned against the doorway and watched them walk down the hallway, Charlie in his arms. Finn took one of his little plush wings in between his delicate fingers and waved it at them with a smile. He put on a high pitched voice like Logan had. “Love you!”
Leo laughed and blew a kiss. “Love you, too, Charlie.”
Logan squeezed Leo’s hand and waved back. “Je t’aime.”
Finn sent them one last smile as the elevator closed behind them. When they were alone, Logan leaned heavily into Leo’s side with a sigh.
“You okay, honey?”
“Ouais.” He turned his face into Leo’s sleeve. “Just miss him.”
“Me, too.” Leo kissed his temple. “We can call him before nap time after morning skate, then after the game before we get back on the plane. How does that sound?”
“Mhm, good.” Logan stood on his toes to kiss Leo gently just as the doors opened. “Je t’aime.”
Leo smiled against his mouth. “I love you, too.” He tugged Logan’s hand gently, and Logan let the warmth of Leo’s being fill him up to the brim, even on a cold October morning. “C’mon, mon mari, I’ll drive.”
first time sending an ask to anyone I am a simple woman I have but a simple request:
Leo in eyeliner feat. Finnlo’s reaction
PLEASE HIS BABY BLUES WOULD LOOK SO GOODDDDD
Indeed, you are a simple woman with a simple request, and a damn good one. Controversial opinion, maybe, but eyeliner is DEFINITELY the sexiest makeup product. And with Leo's BABY BLUES? I propose to you: silver. White. Gray. Black. Brown. Blue. The options are endless.
Enjoy some FinnLo and their brains absolutely shutting down because they are dating an actual ADONIS of a man, holy smokes. They're obsessed. But, then again, who wouldn't be? ALSO, BONUS 'cause Leo is matching Halloween costumes with Katie, and FinnLo's baby fever hearts go BOOM! And props to Layla for her incredible makeup skills, she's the absolute moment. I just KNOW she rocks an incredible golden wing eyeliner, I JUST KNOW IT!!!!!!
TW: Mentions of nefarious activities, but nothing explicit, as per!

“Leo, Leo, come on!”
Leo smiled up at Katie, who was waiting for him patiently on the stairway leading up to the second floor bedrooms. “I’m coming, hun.” He turned to Finn, dressed up as a very handsome prince, if he did say so himself, and gave him a kiss on the nose. “Be right back.”
“‘Kay,” Finn said, patting his hip. “Tell Katie thanks a lot for stealing my sunshine from me and forcing him to do matching costumes with her this year.”
“It’s not just with me, it’s with Layla, too,” Leo laughed, kissing him again. “I love you.”
Finn brushed his blonde hair out of his eyes. “Love you.” He gave Leo’s butt a hard tap. “Go get changed.”
Leo sent him a wink over his shoulder and followed Katie up to her bedroom, where Layla was also waiting. Finn watched him for a moment before he felt a hand come around his waist. “Salut.”
He smiled widely. “Hey.” He turned to face Logan, cupping his face excitedly and pressing kisses to his lips. “How’s my sexy knight?”
Logan laughed against his mouth. “Good.”
Finn made another happy sound and kissed Logan’s cheek. “Thank you for driving up, baby. Sorry it’s not a long visit.”
“Non, it’s okay, I like the Halloween parties.” He rested his forehead against Finn’s shoulder and looked up the stairway. “Like it better when we can all match.”
“Right?” Finn tugged on the cape of Logan’s costume to bring their bodies closer. “Silly Katie stealing our sunshine.” He raised his eyebrows teasingly. “If anything, I would have thought she would steal you from us, not Leo.”
Logan pouted. “Me, too.”
Finn kissed him again with a smile. “C’mon. We have to mingle and stuff while we wait for Le or else we’re just gonna be sad and standing here.”
“But he’s so far.”
Finn just smiled against Logan’s temple and guided him into the kitchen.
An eternity later, but what was really probably only twenty minutes, there were footfalls coming down the staircase. Finn had his arms around Logan’s shoulders, laughing and talking with Thomas and Cole, when Cole suddenly stopped trailed off. His eyes widened. “Holy shit.”
Thomas nudged him playfully and made an oo sound.
Cole just shoved him back. “Shut up.” But he was smiling as he made his way towards Layla. “You look gorgeous,” he said, hands coming down to cup her waist. She did look pretty stunning, Finn thought, in her pirate get-up.
“Thank you,” she said with a proud smile. “Just wait until you see Leo and Katie.”
Finn felt Logan perk up against his chest, his hands coming up to grip Finn’s forearms excitedly. Finn bent down to whisper by his ear. “Calm down.”
“I’m excited.”
“Me, too, just- breathe for a second, baby, you’re getting all worked up.”
Logan flashed dark eyes at him. “What if I want to?”
Finn just rolled his eyes playfully and kissed his cheek. When he pulled away, he was met with crystal blue eyes that were-
“Whoa,” Finn said, a little breathless. “Huh.”
Leo smiled, then turned down to look at Katie. “You think they like our costumes?”
She nodded assuredly. “Yep! I’m gonna go show maman.” Then she was bouncing off her toes and stealing Layla from Cole, presumably going to look for Celeste. The extra fabric of her bandana flapped behind her as she ran to the living room.
Leo turned back to Finn and Logan, spinning around with his hands splayed out. “So? What do you think? Layla sewed some of this, can you believe that?”
But Finn wasn’t paying attention to the clothes, though they did look nice. He instead straightened, Logan shifting to press against just his side, and reached out to rub a thumb under Leo’s eye. “Huh,” he said again. “What…?”
Leo blushed. “Katie insisted. She wanted my eyes to look like Jack Sparrow’s, but Layla took a little more creative freedom than that. Said silver would look good with the blue.”
“She was right.” Finn leaned in a little to look closer at the silver around Leo’s eyes. It made his blue irises look piercing. He could feel heat working its way down his lower back. “Jesus.”
Leo bit his lip in amusement. “Your ears are red.” He looked at Logan and laughed, reaching out to brush the back of his fingers over his cheeks. “Oh, honey.”
Finn looked down at Logan, too, who was partially hiding his face in Finn’s shoulder, green eyes dark and wanting, a flush blooming on the high of his cheeks. The look he was giving Leo was so devastating that Finn had to have a serious mental talk with his body.
“Si beau,” Logan whispered. He reached a hand out and Leo came willingly, allowing Logan, too, to press his thumb to the delicate skin under his eye. Logan let out a groan. “Soleil.”
“You’re okay,” Leo whispered, leaning down to kiss Logan softly. “All okay, sweetheart.”
“Non, je t’aime, let’s go, let’s leave.”
Leo barked out a laugh, straightening. “Absolutely not. I did not get all dressed up for a party to then immediately leave. I haven’t even had a drink yet.”
“Sunshine, I’ll buy you any drink you want if we leave right now,” Finn said. “In fact, I’ll literally lick it off your body, or you can lick it off mine, or Logan’s, I just- come on.”
Leo looked amused at Finn’s tone, which had become a little high at the end of his ramble. “Baby,” he said lowly, which was not helping Finn nor Logan whatsoever. He held up two fingers with a mischievous grin. “Two hours. Long enough to be polite, late enough to justify leaving, and early enough to go back home and have hot sex for as long as you want.”
Both Finn and Logan took a sharp breath in at Leo’s forwardness. Logan’s hands were busy fiddling with Leo’s costume. “Soleil.”
Leo just winked, kissed them both, and turned towards the living room. “I am going to find my other pirates. I love you.” Then he and his crystal clear blue eyes were walking away and leaving Finn and Logan desperate in the entryway.
Logan groaned, bumping his head against Finn’s shoulder. “Oh no.”
“I agree, oh no.” Finn wrapped an arm around his shoulders. “Oh, we are so done for.”
“Ouais. He looks so fucking good, I can’t-” Logan cut himself off with another groan and looked up at Finn pleadingly. “Finn.”
Finn ran a hand over his own face. “Okay,” he said. “Okay, game plan.” He counted off on his fingers. “We set a timer, two hours exactly. No later. We make nice and polite chit-chat with all of our friends that we love very dearly to distract ourselves.” He pressed their foreheads together and lowered his voice. “Then when the timer goes off on my watch, we get Leo, drag him and his sexy blue eyes out of here, and I reasonably break the speed limit to get us in bed and get him naked as fast as possible.”
“Not completely naked,” Logan said with a smile. “Not with that eyeliner.”
“Oh, for sure, not completely naked. That stuff is staying on, and I am asking Layla where she got it.”
Logan laughed, then kissed Finn slowly. “D’accord. D’accord, let’s do this.” He let out a heavy sigh. “This will be the longest two hours of our lives.”
“Oh for sure,” Finn agreed, pulling back to fiddle with his watch. “And the timer starts… now.” He straightened and held out his hand for Logan to take. “Now, my knight in shining armor, please escort me to the kitchen. Those ribs smell delicious, and we need lots of sustenance for tonight.” He craned his head and caught sight of golden curls. “And I see our pirate bombshell in there waiting for us. We might not leave for two hours, but that doesn’t mean we’re staying far away from him the whole time. Gotta have our eyes on the prize.”
“Ouais,” Logan said with one of his secret little smiles. He squeezed Finn’s fingers. “Allez, mon prince, let’s get you some sustenance.”
And with a tug of his hand, Finn followed Logan into the kitchen and to the warmth of their sunshine.
Can we get some VERY LITTLE angst with LOTS OF COMFORT AND FLUFF that maybe touches on the hurt that Leo felt when Logan got protective over Finn after his concussion it makes me want to cry how guilty he probably felt because Jack was the one who hurt Finn 🥲 and then Logan snapping at him probably solidified that guilt/ also made him feel like an outsider in their relationship
Poor sunshine. That was a tough time for him. :(
I kinda reworked this prompt a bit, because in Vaincre it does address some of the elements you mentioned, anon, HOWEVER, I do think I did it justice. Please let me know, though, if you want another perspective or something. Maybe a reflective Leo in NOLA (even though that angst would be yikes)?
I've FINALLY got a good chunk of prompts written, so please keep sending in more! They're a good brain exercise/creative escape when I need a break from my homework. To all going through finals right now- I feel you, I see you, and FUCK GROUP PROJECTS, oh my goodness. I'm never going to recover, I fear. It's not the people in the group, obviously, but holy smokes I work better solo. Sending thoughts and prayers to all those who feel the same as me, haha.
ANYWHO, enjoy a bit of angst, a lot of love, and a hefty amount of Logan Tremblay Weighted Blanket Extraordinaire (because his sunshine was gone for a LONG TIME, okay?! He went through a withdrawal and now has a Vitamin D deficiency, and the only cure is Leo's bare skin touching his for a MINIMUM of twelve hours of snuggles. So sue him.).

Leo never wanted to move from their arms again. Finn’s uninjured one was scratching the back of his head, and Logan was a warm heat against Leo’s back, hands clasped tight around his stomach. Leo breathed out a sigh and sank into the warmth even New Orleans couldn’t provide him.
“Hi, baby,” Finn whispered. He was pressing kisses softly over Leo’s face. “Hi, we missed you. Right, Lo?”
Leo felt Logan’s hum reverberate throughout his body. A kiss was dropped onto the back of his left shoulder. “Ouais, so much.”
Finn’s smile was soft and fond when he looked at Leo. “To what do we owe the surprise?”
Leo shrugged. He rubbed his hands up and down Finn’s ribs distractedly. “Just didn’t wanna stay away. Missed you. And…”
I think- I’m trying to say sorry.
You think?
I fucked up.
Yeah, Jack, you think?
“Le?”
Finn was a bit concerned now. Leo reached up with one hand to brush his hair back from his forehead carefully. His eyes flashed to the band of his sling. I’m sorry. For high school. For the lights, for these last few months, for O’Hara.
“Soleil?”
Leo opened up an arm for Logan to tuck into his side. He kissed his cheek. “I think I want to shower. Then we can- I can talk about it.”
Finn nodded. “Of course, yeah, of course.” He nudged their noses together and kissed him lightly. “Do you want us to come with you?”
Leo thought for a moment then shook his head. “I need to collect my thoughts. Please.”
“D’accord.” Logan reached up to cup Leo’s jaw and leaned in for a kiss. “We love you so much.”
“Love you.” Leo sighed and squeezed each of them, Finn a little more gently. “Okay, give me ten minutes.”
Leo felt the distance from them acutely while in the shower. He’d almost asked them to stay outside the shower doors. Logan would have started there, at least, but he would have wormed his way in to be close to Leo. And Finn would try and talk and distract him, because that was what he did, and he was so kind and gorgeous, but Leo didn’t need that right now- as much as he wanted it. Jack’s pinched face on the dock flashed through his mind. He sucked in a breath and turned the shower off hard, slipping a bit on the floor a bit as he grabbed a towel. He dripped water on the floor in his haste to get to their bedroom, but he hardly noticed.
When he opened the door, Finn was straddling Logan’s lap, both of them smiling softly and whispering. Finn had his good arm draped over Logan’s shoulder and was scratching his scalp. They both turned to look at Leo when he entered with happy eyes.
“Hi,” Leo whispered with a small smile.
Logan’s own smile got wider, if possible, and he nudged Finn off his lap to stand and press himself against Leo’s chest. His fingers played with the edge of the towel around Leo’s hips. He let out a sigh. “Je t’aime.”
Leo caught Finn’s eye over Logan’s head. The corner of his eyes were crinkled at the edges. “Grumpy missed you.”
Leo rested his cheek on top of Logan’s head. “Just him?”
“Obviously not.”
“I missed you, too.” He kissed Logan’s temple. “I gotta get changed.”
“Mm,” Logan hummed. “Non.”
“Ouais, honey, I do.”
Logan let out another soft noise of contentment. “Your accent sounds stronger.” He pulled back slightly to run his hands up and down Leo’s arms and kissed him. “I love it.”
Leo knew his face was red from blushing when he gave Logan a last kiss and turned to the dresser. He was searching for his favorite pair of Finn’s plaid boxers when he felt two arms wrap around his waist again. He hung his head back with a laugh. “Logan.”
When Logan didn’t say anything, Leo looked over his shoulder. Finn was still watching them with playful eyes.
“Lo, sweetheart, I gotta get changed.”
“Non, you don’t.”
“Oh my God. Okay, fine, stay there.”
It was a bit of a struggle, getting boxers on with a barnacle attached to his back, especially when Logan made a real effort to prevent Leo from putting them on in the first place. Leo turned to raise his eyebrows at him when he felt a playful tap to his butt. Logan was hiding his grin in the skin of Leo's shoulder, green eyes looking innocently up at him. Leo shook his head fondly and managed to pull the waistband around his hips. But when there was another pinch, he spun around and bent to wrap his arms under Logan’s thighs. Logan let out a loud laugh, squeezing his feet together in the small of Leo’s back as he was lifted. Leo narrowed his eyes.
“You’re trouble, Tremblay.”
“You realize he got exactly what he wanted, right?” Finn asked through his own laugh.
“Mhm.” Leo leaned in to nudge his and Logan’s noses together. “Like he somehow always does.”
Logan tucked his face in Leo’s neck. “Mm, ouais.”
Leo snorted. “You have no shame.”
He walked over to the bed and knelt on the mattress beside Finn, leaning over and falling on top of Logan. They both let out an oof and Logan threw his head back in a laugh, his face flushed in the way it got when he was really, truly happy. Leo leaned down to kiss his cheeks. He felt Finn press a warm palm to his back.
“Oh, baby,” Finn whispered, kissing Leo’s shoulders. “We’re so happy, we’re so happy you’re home.”
Leo shifted onto his side to lay in between them, Logan resting his head against his chest. “Me, too.”
Finn tugged on one of his curls. “How are you feeling?”
“Better,” Leo said. He pushed himself to sit up against the pillows, bringing Logan with him. “Better, definitely.”
“Good.” Finn kissed his forehead and Leo felt tension he didn’t know he was carrying melt away.
They sat there in silence for a minute. Finn and Logan were both watching Leo carefully, even as they kept their hands busy touching his skin and hair. Leo knew they were waiting for him to talk. He took a deep breath and watched Logan play with his fingers. “I saw Jack.”
Logan’s eyes darkened. His jaw clenched. “Quoi?”
Leo avoided their gazes. “He found me when I was bringing the boat in. This afternoon.”
Finn cupped Leo’s jaw to meet his eyes. “And?”
Leo chewed on his bottom lip. “He said he was sorry.”
Finn scoffed. “Good.” At Leo’s silence, Finn eyebrows furrowed. His fingers were still mindlessly playing with Leo’s jaw. “Not good?”
Leo felt his shoulders sink. “He said he was sorry.” He looked at Finn. “For you.” At Logan. “For high school. For the lights, for- everything. I don’t know, he held himself accountable. And I accepted it.” He shrugged. “So that’s that, I guess, but…” He felt his eyes heat up a bit. “I don’t know, I still feel…”
“Mon soleil.” Logan looked a bit sad as he straddled Leo’s lap, fingers coming to lace themselves through Leo’s curls. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, mon coeur.” He kissed Leo’s cheeks gently. “Mon amour,” he murmured.
“No.” Leo gripped Logan’s hips hard. “No, Lo, I’m sorry.”
“Quoi? What, no-”
“Yeah, yes.” Leo nodded quickly. He looked between Finn and Logan, who both had curious and hesitant looks on their faces. “I’m so sorry. About making Finn’s concussion about me, about leaving you in New York, I don’t- I don’t know why I did that, that was really mean, and I’m sorry. I love you so much, and I’m so sorry.”
“Whoa, whoa, hey,” Finn hushed. He knelt up to bring Leo’s head to rest against his chest on his good side. “Hey, Le, no, baby. No, baby, no.” He pressed his mouth into Leo’s hair. “Don’t be sorry, sweetheart, it’s not your fault.”
“It kind of is.” Leo pulled back to look at him. “I left Logan. In New York. And Jack did take his anger out on you, he told me. And he was angry at me, and so I- seeing him, and hearing him tell me, it just-” He let out a frustrated noise. “I guess I just realized how much I missed you. How separate I felt for a minute, and how much I didn’t like that.”
“Leo.” Logan coaxed Leo into looking at him. “We already said sorry, mon coeur. It’s all okay now.” He kissed Leo, firm but gentle. “I don’t want you to feel like that again, d’accord?”
“I know.” Leo nodded and sniffed. Logan brushed his thumbs over Leo’s cheeks where a few tears had fallen. “I know, sorry. I just- I think Jack just made me feel guilty again.”
Finn kissed Leo’s cheek hard. “Fucker.”
Despite that, Leo laughed. “I guess, yeah. A bit.” He let his head fall back and closed his eyes. “I don’t know, I still want him to be happy. But I don’t really want to see him.” He opened his eyes again. “Is that awful of me?”
“No,” Finn whispered. He was smiling softly. “No, baby, that’s not awful of you. I think that’s very big of you, wanting him to be happy, even though he hurt you. Not many people would.”
“Ouais, me.”
Leo threw his head back and gasped out a laugh. “Logan!”
“Quoi? It’s true!” He buried his face in Leo’s neck and kissed the skin there. “I don’t want to see you hurting.” He pulled away to look at Finn. “Either of you. He hurt you both, and I don’t like that.”
Leo’s laughter subsided and he pressed their foreheads together. “I know, sweetheart.” He kissed Logan’s lips quickly. “I don’t want to hurt anymore either. But I feel better.” He reached out for Finn’s hand and kissed the back of it. “And you? How are you feeling, baby?”
Finn smiled. “I’m so good. So good.” He moved to sit beside Leo, snuggling close with his nose in Leo’s neck. “So happy you’re better, baby. How was the rest of New Orleans?”
Leo could almost feel the warmth of his city on his skin if he thought hard enough. “Really, really good. Cooked a lot with my parents, saw my cousins, the neighbors. Took the boat out a lot and went fishing. Ran with my mama, got ice cream with dad. The usual.”
Finn hummed, busy kissing Leo’s jaw. “Good usual?”
Leo nodded. “Yeah. Really good.” He stretched out his legs under Logan’s weight. “Mama and dad are excited we’re coming down. Said they want to have a party for you if you win, Lo. Or even if you don’t. My cousins and stuff are dying to meet you both.”
“Oh, boy,” Finn said, waggling his eyebrows. “A southern-style welcome.”
“I will go,” Logan whispered, brushing his nose with Leo’s, as if he couldn’t help it. “If there is good food.”
Leo snorted. “Oh honey,” he said, shaking his head fondly. “You already know there will be. The Knuts cook some mean barbecue.”
“Bien,” Logan sighed. He wiggled happily in the cradle of Leo’s hips, then rested his head back on his chest. “Sleep.”
“Okay, hold on.”
Leo shifted himself down to lie flat on the bed, Logan a warm weight on top of him and Finn against his opposite shoulder, ankles intertwined. Finn pulled the covers over them and kissed each of their cheeks. “Feels good to have you back in bed,” he said with a yawn. “Was empty.”
“Mm.” Leo squeezed Finn’s ankles between his own. He sighed. “I always sleep better with you both.”
Logan made a slightly distressed noise. “Did you sleep in New Orleans?”
“A bit, yeah. Had to tire myself out a lot, though.” He rubbed a hand up and down Logan’s warm back. “Feels better when I’m home.”
“Yeah,” Finn agreed. His face was slack; two more minutes and he would be asleep. “Feels better when you’re home.”
Logan pressed a kiss right into the center of Leo’s chest. “Sleep, mon coeur. If you can’t, I’ll rub your back.”
Leo felt his breath hitch a bit. It felt so good to be home. “I love you,” he whispered.
“Love you.”
“Je t’aime.”
Leo closed his eyes. For the first time in what felt like months, with the heat of their skin against his, he felt himself finally relax as he drifted off to sleep.
sorry to add another prompt to your probably really long list but I was wondering if you could write something based on a thought I had the other day:
So basically was just thinking about how Finn and Logan are best friends and know everything about each other probably and I just thought it would be cute to see them learning things that maybe they didn’t know about Leo maybe they learn that he is a super fan of something or that he played a different sport besides hockey in highschool (maybe soccer or baseball?) or they learn that he can sing or do something else crazy idk. Just a little something of them learning more about him because I know a lot of people think him being the newest in the relationship is something he should be insecure about but I actually think it’s really beautiful that he has two people who fall in love with him and immediately want to know everything about him:)))
I’m just realizing this is word vomit but I’ll send it anyway lol thank you so much!!!
This was an AMAZING excuse to finally bring to life this headcanon I have about Leo, oh my gooooooooooosh!!!!!!! I have this idea that his entire family is really good at team sports. Like, Finn is good at running, obvs, and Logan is a lifting champ, but for Leo, sports in general just come so naturally, kind of the same as Captain Sirius Black. Basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball- it doesn't matter, he picks it up super quick. I also think his parents are big sports fans, so he is as well!
So have the Knut family (and Adele Dumais) absolutely tearing it up on the diamond, and Finn and Logan trying with all their might to REAL IN their adoration and surprise (and maybe conceal the fact that they are hot and bothered by Leo's competence, too). ;)
All credits to @lumosinlove !!
“Okay, team,” Finn said. “Bring it in, let’s go.”
He wrapped an arm around Logan and Louis’s shoulders as they all huddled in a circle. It had been Coach’s idea, a family softball game to start the summer, fifteen and older all welcome on the field. It was a mix of parents, siblings, children and players. There were even some veteran players; Hope Lupin, Celeste Dumais, and Thomas’ mom, Chelsea, had dusted off their old softball gloves from college and were on the opposing team. Finn knew it was all for fun, but he was going to keep his eye on them anyways.
“Okay,” he said, leaning his head in. “This is just for fun, remember that… but we also want to win.” He looked around the circle. “A lot of you have siblings, parents, partners, or children on the other team, but that doesn’t mean you go any easier on them, okay?” He looked at Louis and Pascal first, then at Eloise. “We are not letting Celeste and Adele beat us out, or Leo. Or my brother. I’ll never hear the end of it.”
“Ouais,” Sirius agreed. He had his focus face on. “Remus is going down.”
“Geez,” Natalie said. “Your love sure is loud, Captain.”
Sirius turned bright red. “If I lose I have to cook dinner for a week.”
“And there it is,” Natalie laughed. She turned to Kasey. “Should’ve made a bet with Alexander.”
Kasey snorted. “Absolutely not, he is way too competitive.” He nodded to Finn. “We’re all ready.”
“Okay, hands in!” They all slapped their hands in the middle of the circle. Finn nodded his head satisfactorily. “Team on three, one, two, three…”
“Team!”
Finn slapped Logan’s back and rested his other arm over Eloise’s shoulder. “How we feeling, team? Ready to kick some nutter butter butt?”
Eloise looked at him in amusement. “I wouldn’t underestimate him, honey.”
Finn raised his eyebrows. “What’s that supposed to mean?” When she just shrugged and walked away, he turned to look at Logan frantically. “Lo, what did she mean?”
Logan ran a hand through Finn’s hair. “I’m sure it’s nothing, mon coeur. She just likes to mess with you.”
Finn nodded. “Right, right. Cool, okay, I’m good.”
Logan smiled and kissed his sweaty cheek. “Relax, rouge. It’s just a game.”
“A game that I am not losing. I’ve got my boyfriend and my brother on the other team. This is bragging rights on the line, Lo.”
“D’accord.” Logan soothed him with another kiss. “D’accord, baby, let’s go play.”
They were batting first, and Finn watched on bouncing toes as Pascal stepped up to the plate, eyes scanning the field. The outfield was composed of only hockey players- Alex, the tallest, at center; Remus in left field; Thomas in right. The infield was mostly people that actually played softball- Celeste at third, Chelsea at shortstop, Hope at second. Adele, who Pascal had said had a wicked vertical jump height was at first, eyes focused and narrowed at her father. Wyatt, almost as tall as his son, was laughing with Pascal at the plate, catcher’s uniform snuggly fitting his frame. Finn knew he’d be tricky. He played in an adult league, but so did Eloise, so Finn figured they were fairly evenly matched. On the mound, scanning the field with his devastatingly gorgeous blue eyes, stood the only non-softball player in the infield, who also happened to be Finn and Logan’s most beautiful muse and biggest competition. It was a curious choice, putting someone who didn’t play the game in as pitcher, but Finn sucked in a nervous breath anyways when Leo caught him staring and winked.
“He’s just playing with you, Freckle.”
Finn turned to look at Natalie. “He’s up to something.”
She just sighed. “Let’s go, get your bat and warm up. You’re up next.”
Finn stood in the warm up box, idly swinging his bat between his hands. Layla blew her whistle, dressed in a black umpire uniform, and crouched behind Wyatt. Dumo raised his bat. He yelled something in French at Leo, who laughed before turning sideways and readying himself. Finn watched Wyatt make a motion with his hand, and his throat closed up. His eyes flicked to Leo, who just nodded before winding his arm back. Between one moment and the next, the ball had left his fingers in a perfect underhand and before Pascal could even blink it was flying straight over the plate and into the back of Wyatt’s glove.
“Shit,” Finn said, eyes wide. “Oh fuck.”
“I told you honey,” Eloise said, patting his arm. “Don’t underestimate him.”
“Jesus Christ, Knut!” Thomas called from the outfield. “The fuck was that, you absolute beauty!”
Leo just smiled a little sheepishly and caught the ball his dad tossed him. Pascal was shaking himself out and readying for another pitch. He came close with his swing, but there was still the satisfying slap of the ball in Wyatt’s mitt.
“Rouge.” Logan placed a hand on his lower back. “Rouge.”
Finn hung his head back with a groan and turned to face Logan. “We’re so screwed. Where the hell did he learn to pitch like that?”
Logan just looked at him. He had that determined expression on his face that he sometimes got when he was faced with genuine competition. He huffed out a breath and took Finn’s shirt in his hands and brought their faces close together. “Don’t let him scare you. You’ve got this, rouge.”
Finn tapped his helmet gently onto Logan’s head. “Got it, ten.”
There was another slapping sound and some whoops, and Pascal dejectedly walked back to the dugout. His face was amused, though. “Mon fil,” he said to Logan, slapping his back as he walked by. “That boy of yours can play.”
Logan just hung his head back with a huff. He smacked Finn’s butt and then gently shoved him toward the plate. “Allez, rouge.”
Finn would be lying if he said he wasn’t a little nervous as he stepped up to the plate. Layla and Wyatt were laughing when he stepped up, and Layla looked at him with teasing eyes. “Looks like your lover boy has quite the arm.”
“Don’t fucking remind me.” He bounced a little and turned to Wyatt. “Where the hell did he learn to play like that?”
Wyatt laughed at him. “He played when he was little, but then he’d play in mine and Eloise’s league during the spring and summer when he could.” He looked fondly at his son. “He’s good, isn’t he?”
Finn narrowed his eyes. “Mhm.”
He ignored Wyatt’s chuckle and set his feet, eyes on Leo on the pitcher’s mound. Leo was already looking back at him with mischievous blue eyes. Finn shook his head. He couldn’t get distracted.
Leo’s expression turned serious before he hid his mouth and nose behind his glove. He nodded minutely, presumably at his father, before shifting. Finn took a deep breath and braced his shoulders.
The first pitch went right down the pipe, making a whistling sound as it passed by. Finn had been shocked when he saw the first pitch Pascal had taken, but it was nothing compared to actually being at the plate and experiencing it. Finn let out a surprised sound and stumbled back a bit.
“C’mon Harz!”
“Allez, Finn!”
He rolled out his shoulders and neck before stepping back up to the plate. This time, he timed his swing, and the ball bounced off his bat with a satisfying thwack! He dropped his bat and ran, but he was only halfway down the baseline before he watched the ball land efficiently in Adele’s glove on a throw from Chelsea, her foot sturdy on the plate. He groaned as he ran through. Adele just grinned at him and tossed the ball back to Leo. “Better luck next time, Finn.”
“Ha-ha.” He flicked her hat brim down before jogging back down the baseline. “Hey Knut! The fuck is up with that?”
Leo just played innocent and shrugged with a devious little smile. Finn hated that it made him look gorgeous.
Back at the dugout, Logan was waiting for him with his arms crossed and an intense look on his face. He winced when he saw Finn. “It’s all right, rouge.”
Finn huffed. “They’re all fucking all-stars or some shit. I thought this was supposed to be a fun game.”
Eloise laughed as she passed by, bat swinging in her hands. “Don’t take it so seriously, honey. You’ll be fine.” Then she was stepping up to the plate.
They cheered her on from the dugout, Sirius and Louis leading the charge and shaking the fence. They both had the same intense expression on their faces as Logan. It was clear they were all surprised by the advanced skills on the other team.
Finn and Logan stood close, shoulders touching as they watched Eloise tap her husband’s helmet playfully before sobering up, raising her bat. Leo smiled briefly before once again hiding his face with his mitt, blue eyes intense. The routine was the same: the settling of his feet, his arm winding up, the ball leaving his hands at an impressive speed, flying down the middle-
None of them were expecting the resounding crack of Eloise’s bat against the ball that sent it sailing over Leo’s head and into the outfield.
“Holy shit!” Finn yelled. He bounced up and down, cheering with the rest of their team. “Yeah, Eloise!”
She ran fast, clearing first and heading for second. Thomas had recovered the ball and threw it, landing it in Hope’s waiting glove just after Eloise’s foot touched the base.
“Allez!” Sirius yelled. He was smiling gleefully now. “Double, Eloise, allez!”
“Holy shit,” Finn whispered to Logan. “Our in-laws are softball wizards or some shit.”
“Ouais,” Logan said back. He sighed and rolled his neck. “Allez, I’m up.”
Finn smacked his butt. “Go get ‘em.”
Logan ended up hitting a single into center field, Alex just mistiming the throw, and Adele caught it a second after Logan’s foot hit the base. He let out a shout and patted her head in celebration, and she just shoved him playfully, spewing what Finn assumed was some vulgar French trash talk, if the way her mother reprimanded her was anything to go by. She huffed, but threw the ball back to Leo. Finn scanned the field; Logan’s hit had advanced Eloise to third. They just needed one more hit and she’d be home.
“Okay,” Finn said. He patted Sirius’ shoulders as he went to step up to the plate. “Okay, Cap, you got this. No losing to Remus, remember?”
Sirius didn’t say anything, just nodded curtly. His gray eyes were focused and icy as he walked out. He raised his bat, expression unreadable.
Leo threw two perfect strikes, Sirius letting out a frustrated huff every time he swung and missed. The third pitch, however, landed right on his bat and the ball sailed overhead- and right into Remus’ glove.
“Oh, come on!”
Remus just laughed loudly at his husband as he and his team began to clear the field. “Gotcha, baby!”
Sirius gritted his teeth and turned back to the dugout. “Allez, we need to field well, let’s go.”
“Yikes,” Natalie said drily. “Captain Scary has made an appearance.”
Sirius just sucked his teeth and picked up his glove.
“Okay, listen up!” Kasey called. He read from his clipboard. “Nat, you’re pitching, Logan, you’re catch. Louis, you’re at short, Eloise at second. Cap, Dumo, Lyall, you’re all outfield. Cole’s at third, Finn’s at first.” He looked up at them all. “Everyone else, you’ll sit this inning out, and we’ll rotate you in the next one so everyone gets a turn.”
There was a shuffling of people putting their gloves on and light chatter, then they were jogging out onto the field to the cheers of some of their friends and family in the stands. Finn waved to his and Logan’s parents before taking his place on first base. It was close enough to the other dugout that he could hear them cheering, but he tried to focus in on the plate.
They warmed up with some throwing before Layla signaled it was time to get started. Noelle was up first, her long braids swishing against her back as she stepped up to the plate. She knocked her knuckles on Logan’s helmet and he looked up at her. Finn didn’t need to see his face to know he was scowling.
Natalie was a good pitcher. She threw straight, even if not as fast as Leo, and could throw a mean change-up. Noelle landed a pop hit into right field and took off running to cheers.
“Let’s fucking go, Christmas!” Thomas shouted.
Finn watched as the ball landed just out of Sirius’ reach and he scrambled to pick it up. His throw was a bit wild, so Finn had to leave the base to catch it, allowing Noelle to just get there in time. She was breathing hard as she turned to Finn. “Nice try, Fish.” She tilted her head. “Hey, like our star pitcher?”
Finn narrowed his eyes. “I have no alliance with him in this game.”
“I don’t know, wait until you see him in those baseball pants.” Her eyes flashed to Thomas, who was whistling shrilly at her, and she smiled. “Nothing sexier than an ass in baseball pants.”
“Ugh, stop that. I’m trying to focus.”
She just pretended to zip her mouth shut and readied herself to run.
Natalie struck Remus out, much to Sirius’ delight, but Noelle did end up stealing second. Leo was up next, and he left the dugout to lots of cheering and whistling. He said something to Logan with a fond smile and a tap to his helmet, then steadied his bat above his shoulder. Finn really tried not to look at his ass in those pants, he really did, but it was a failed attempt, and he sucked in a breath as he looked away briefly. Noelle smirked at him, and he stuck his tongue out at her.
Leo took a ball and a strike, and after the second pitch he stepped out of the box to take a couple practice swings. He looked focused and determined when he stepped back in, eyes boring into Natalie’s from her place on the mound. She steadied herself and sent the ball flying in what Finn thought would be a perfect strike, but Leo timed it beautifully, and with a swing so fast it made a swooshing sound he sent the ball in a perfect arc to left field, just beyond Lyall’s reach but still within the outfield.
The next thing Finn knew, Leo was flying past him and rounding to second. Lyall had caught the ball and sent it to Pascal, who’d shifted to receive it, but it was no use. No sooner had Pascal turned to send it to Eloise at second then Leo was flying over that base, too, and hustling to third, Noelle sprinting to home plate. Cole slapped his glove in urgency, but caught the ball just after Leo arrived, jerking as he came to a halt to keep his foot on the base. He was breathing hard, but smiling. Noelle had cleared home easily, much to the obvious chagrin of her little brother, and was being picked up by a shouting Thomas and carried into the dugout, her head thrown back in a laugh. There were lots of cheers and back slaps for her, then Alex picked up his bat and made his way towards the box, but not before he cupped his hands around his mouth to shout at Finn. “How does it feel, little bro?”
Finn heard Logan’s frustrated grunt and narrowed his eyes at Alex’s smirk, but didn’t say anything. He couldn’t let himself go this early in the game- not, at least, if he wanted to win.
Alex ended up getting out on an impressive zinger from Eloise, who threw so hard it actually hurt Finn’s hand to catch the ball, even with his glove on. He laughed loudly in Alex’s face, but Alex just rolled his eyes. “Got blondie across home plate, though, didn’t I?”
Finn’s smile faded abruptly as he looked at the opposing dugout. Wyatt was shaking Leo’s shoulders excitedly as he made his way to sit down. Logan stood up and watched them, mask pulled up and away from his face. Finn saw him stare at Leo’s butt in his pants, then watched as he realized Finn caught him and blushed. Finn sighed. They were so fucked.
Chelsea was up next and walked. Wyatt was after her and bunted impressively, allowing Chelsea to advance, even if he got out. But Adele’s pop fly was caught easily by her father, and then they were changing out again. Finn met Logan at the entrance to the dugout. He was sweating in his catcher’s gear, shaking out his hair as he took off his helmet. Despite himself, Finn smiled and kissed his cheek. “You know, you are a very sexy catcher. Might have to make a career change.”
Logan rolled his eyes, but was grinning as he kissed Finn on the mouth. “Je t’aime.”
“Love you.” Finn took a deep breath and squared his shoulders. “Now, c’mon. We gotta focus if we want to beat the love of our lives, let’s go.”
Cole was up first and hit a double off of Leo’s second pitch. Louis then ran on a drop-third strike, but Wyatt sent it perfectly into Adele’s glove. Cole did end up at third, then crossed home on Kuny’s single, but Celeste snatched the ball out of the air with ease. With two outs, Kuny walking a bit dejectedly back to the dugout, Finn started to feel the pressure. Natalie hit a perfect single just out of Noelle’s reach in the outfield, though, which set them up with at least a man on base. Logan was up to hit after her, and Finn drew him close with an arm around his shoulders and touched their foreheads together. “I know he’s distracting, but you can’t let him get to you. He’s just your opponent out there.” He sighed. “A very sexy opponent, but an opponent nonetheless.”
Logan nodded. “Ouais. Ouais, d’accord, I’ve got this.”
“You’ve got this.”
“I’ve got this.”
Logan took a deep breath, then walked up to the plate, cheers following him from the dugout. He tapped his bat against his shoes and rolled out his shoulders, squaring up to face the mound. Leo winked at him.
“Fuck,” Finn muttered. “C’mon, baby, don’t get distracted.”
Leo’s first pitch went a little high, and Logan dutifully let it pass by as Layla called it a ball.
“Okay.” Finn tapped his foot. “Good, baby, good, c’mon.”
Logan drew two balls, then swung and missed for his first strike. After the second strike and Logan’s frustrated huff, Finn began to chew the inside of his cheek.
“Full count,” Pascal said from beside him. “It’s fine, Logan does well under pressure.”
“This is high stakes, Dumo. Bragging rights.”
A snort. “Mon Dieu, you three are competitive.”
Finn watched as Leo took a steadying breath, centering himself before preparing for his next pitch. He sent it right down the middle, and Finn let out a shout as Logan cracked it off his bat. But the victory was short lived, because in an impossible leap, Leo stretched his long (gorgeous) arm out and dove, snatching the ball just before he fell to the ground.
Logan let out a loud curse and went to pick up his bat, practically marching back to the dugout with a scowl. Finn met him and held his hands out to settle against his shoulders. “Whoa, hey, baby, it’s just a game.”
Logan walked past him and sat heavily on the bench, whipping his helmet off and thumping his head against the wall. When he looked at Finn, his face was frustrated and- flushed?
“Fuck,” Logan said, before muttering rapidly in French. “The fuck is he doing, just looking like that? He just- I can’t- I’m trying to focus!”
Finn gaped for a minute, realization dawning over him, before he gasped delightedly. “Oh my God!”
Logan glared at him. “Rouge-”
“Oh my God, you’re turned on.” When Logan shushed him, he lowered his voice and went to stand between his legs and cup Logan’s blushing cheeks. “Oh, baby, you’re so turned on right now.”
“Shut up.”
“Nuh-uh, no way.” He felt giddy and bent to look into Logan’s eyes. “Really? This is doing it for you?”
“Don’t pretend it’s not doing it for you, too!”
“Oh, I’m not.” He pressed a kiss to the top of Logan’s head and drew him in for a hug. “Okay, we’ll be fine. Just a few more innings, then we can go see him.”
“But then there’s team dinner-”
“Which we can leave early.”
“His parents.”
“They’d stay long after we would leave, anyways, you know how they are. Eloise dances until the sun comes up with my mom and the Walkers, and Wyatt chats with Dumo and Lyall for ages every time. At Christmas we had to drag them home.”
Logan just let out a groan into his chest. “I can’t do this.”
Finn stepped back and pulled Logan onto his feet. “Well, you’re gonna have to. Because sunshine can be sexy all he wants, but he’s not gonna win.”
Finn was, however, proven mistaken. Four and a half innings later and Thomas and James were dumping a cooler of ice water on Leo’s back as he crossed home plate, Natalie standing on the pitcher’s mound gaping at where the ball had flown over the fence. It had been a competitive game, the opposing team going into their final at-bat tied with the other team 6-6, and Finn’s team had been fielding fantastic, but it was apparently no match for six-feet-and-three-inches of pure muscle and skill. Leo’s walk-off homer had pushed Noelle and Adele across the plate, too, and Finn had known at that moment that they had absolutely lost. He sighed, squinting against the late afternoon sun, and watched as Leo laughed and was pulled into a hug by his father.
“I told you honey.” Eloise had come to stand beside him and placed a comforting hand on his back. “Don’t underestimate my Leo. He’s got quite a skill set.”
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “More like a super power.” He gave her a squeeze and smiled down at her. “Hey, you played great, too. That double play in the third was insane.”
She grinned, pleased. “Aw, thanks, honey. Lots of practice, me and Wyatt. You boys should come play the next time you’re down.”
“I’m sure we will.” He looked back at home plate to see Logan sigh heavily. “Yikes, better go comfort grumpy. I’ll be right back.”
She patted his back and went to go talk to Natalie on the pitcher’s mound, and Finn jogged over to home plate. When he got there, he smiled and wrapped a slightly dejected Logan up in a hug. “You played good, baby.”
“Merci. You, too.”
Finn kissed his cheek. “Just no match for our MLB All-Star, huh?”
“What’s that about me?”
Finn and Logan turned to find Leo grinning at them broadly, soaking hair pushed back to reveal his blue eyes in a way that did not help the flush Finn knew was tinting his ears. He looked Leo up and down. “Just wondering where in the hell you learned to pitch like that.”
Leo winked. “So I might have played a little in New Orleans.” His gaze turned soft and he approached them. “Good game. You guys played great.”
“Soleil,” Logan said, voice slightly hushed. He went to go play with the chain hanging down in between the open top buttons of Leo’s jersey. He then gripped the fabric in his fingers and dragged Leo down into a kiss. “Mon coeur.”
Leo looked confused for a second before his eyes lit up. “Oh my God.” He laughed quietly and cupped Logan’s hips. “Really?” When Logan nodded, the highs of his cheeks red, Leo smiled even wider. “Oh, honey. Look at you.”
“Leo.”
“Sh, sh.” Leo drew Logan in for a hug and placed his mouth by his ear, whispering just loud enough so Finn could hear, too. “Sh, sweetheart, I’ve got you.”
Logan let out a soft sound and settled into Leo’s body, Leo smiling at Finn over his shoulder. Finn bit his lip and came up behind Logan to give Leo a brief kiss. “What can we say? Your skills are irresistible, baby.”
Leo made a happy sound and kissed Logan’s cheek before standing more upright. “Thank you.” He slung an arm around each of their shoulders, his body pleasantly cool from the ice water, and smiled brightly. “So, how fast are we leaving this team dinner?”
Finn laughed. “Oh, so fast. We’ll see if Lo even makes it there.”
Leo’s dimples deepened. “Well, we’ve got time. I’m sure we could find a shady spot in a parking lot on the way to Dumo’s.”
Finn perked up. “Really?”
“Yes, really.”
Logan looked up at Leo with raised eyebrows. “But we’re all sweaty.”
Leo just shrugged. “What can I say, you both looked good out there. Finn holds a baseball very gracefully.” He bent to nuzzle Logan’s cheek. “And those baseball pants do wonders for you, baby.”
Logan blinked slowly, lips slightly parted. “Huh.”
Leo kissed his mouth twice in a burst, then patted each of their backs before walking towards his dugout. “Let’s go, clean-up time. I also gotta find my mama, that double play was awesome.”
“Yeah!” Finn called after him. “When were you gonna tell us you’re all a bunch of prodigies?”
Leo just turned, dropped a devastating wink, and went to help organize the dugout.
Finn let out a sigh and turned to Logan. “Damn. He just gets sexier every day, doesn’t he?”
“Ouais,” Logan nodded. He looped his arms around Finn’s neck. “I like still learning stuff about him.”
Finn smiled and kissed him. “Yeah, me, too. Like still learning stuff about both of you.” He patted Logan’s butt. “Like how you look really good in these pants. Le, too.”
Logan’s eyes were fond as he tugged Finn’s hair. “Allez, let’s clean up and go find our families. I’m sure Noelle and Alex are looking for us.”
Finn rolled his eyes. “Ugh. Losers.”
“Non, rouge, us.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” He bent to wrap his arms around the backs of Logan’s thighs to lift him up with a grunt, grinning at Logan’s loud laugh. “Let’s go, ten, then we get sunshine time.”
“And you time.”
“And you time.” Finn bit at the skin of Logan’s waist that was closest to his mouth, his shirt having ridden up a bit against Finn’s body. “Mm, you’re tasty.”
“Rouge.”
Finn just laughed, feeling light and in love, and carried him into the dugout.

“Okay, Marc, Louis, Adele! Can you come help Katie with the beach stuff, please?”
Finn looked up through the bedroom doorway at the sound of Leo’s voice. He tied the string of his shorts and ran his fingers through his hair before walking curiously towards the kitchen. It sounded like Leo needed help.
It was still a trip to see Leo and Logan in his family’s Hampton’s house, even after three years together. The walls, once filled just with photographs of Finn’s childhood here, held some new memories, too: one of Kasey, Alex, and Natalie on the back deck; one of Leo, Logan, and Haley with cocktails in their hands; one of Finn and Leo building a sand castle, Logan asleep on the towel beside them. Finn smiled at the last one as he made his way down the hall.
“Louis and Marc, may you please take the boogie boards to the back and hose them down? Girls, can you go put the chairs and the umbrellas in the garage?”
Finn shook his head fondly at Leo, who was unloading grocery bags in the kitchen with Logan. He had sunglasses around his neck on a lanyard and his cap was a bit askew. He and Logan both looked tan from their day out. They’d gone to a different beach in the car today so the Dumais kids could catch bigger waves on their boogie boards, and so Leo could go to the farmer’s market and the butcher’s that he loved to pick things up for their dinner. It was a hustle, loading and unloading all of the gear into the Celeste’s minivan that she’d lent them, but Leo was nothing if not a natural delegator, and he had those kids doing their own tasks faster than Logan and Finn could even think. Finn gave Louis and Marc a fist bump each as they passed through to go wash off the boogie boards before he went to stand across the counter from his boyfriends.
“You need any help, lovers?”
“No, thank you,” Leo said. He didn’t even look around, too busy unloading some vegetables. Logan looked back to Finn and rolled his eyes with a fond smile.
Finn grinned back. “You sure?”
“Yes, honey, don’t you worry. I’ve got the kids cleaning up and then I’ll start on dinner.”
“You know, soleil,” Logan said, slipping Leo’s sunglasses over his head and placing them on the counter. He pressed a hand to Leo’s hip and nuzzled his cheek with his nose. “I think you can compete with Celeste for best mom voice.”
Leo scoffed. “Y’all should have heard my mama when I was little. I learned from the best, that’s for sure.”
“Yikes,” Finn teased. “Those Dumais kids don’t know what’s coming for them.”
Leo let out an exasperated sigh. “Honey, I’m not that bad. They made the mess, they can help clean it up.”
Logan kissed Leo’s cheek in bursts. “Ouais, but I seem to remember someone building sand castles and going boogie boarding with the kids. Maybe they should go help clean the mess.” At Leo’s raised eyebrows, Logan drew him in with a laugh, his arms around Leo’s neck and lips pressing more kisses to his face. “Non, désolé, mon soleil, désolé, I’m joking.”
“Mm,” Leo said, accepting Logan’s soft kiss and pulling his lip with his teeth. He was smiling, though, when they broke apart. “You’re lucky you’re handsome.”
Logan’s grin was the pleased kind that Finn associated with him being content. It came out more often now, especially since they were on summer break, but Finn knew he’d never get tired of seeing it, not in a million lifetimes.
“Hey,” he said. “C’mere, ten.”
Logan complied, coming to stand across the counter from Finn. “Quoi?”
Finn shook his head. “Nothing. Just like seeing you smile.” He took Logan’s hand and kissed his fingers, then tilted his head to look at Leo’s lean back. “Sunshine.”
“Yes, sweetheart, just a moment. Want to get this chicken out and marinating.”
“Just quickly, baby, please?”
“Okay.” When he turned around, the small crease in between his eyebrows faded, replaced with his dimples appearing on his cheeks as he smiled. “Hi, sorry, I’m distracted. You both look handsome.”
“You, too, baby.” Finn reached for his hand, too, and kissed his way up his forearm. He bit at the sun-kissed skin. “Fuck, you’re both so tan. Drives me crazy.”
Logan stroked his nose. “And you are burnt.”
Finn let out a frustrated groan against Leo’s skin. “I don’t know how this always happens. I reapplied sunscreen and everything, I promise!”
Leo leaned his long torso over the counter and kissed Finn’s forehead. “Our own little tomato. Speaking of which…” He turned around to take up a paper bag, a cutting board, and a knife. “Gotta chop these for the fattoush. Oh, and the meat! Meat first, okay…”
Logan sighed and pressed his lips to Leo’s shoulder. “You’ll call us if you need help, please, d’accord?”
“Yes, I promise.” Leo set down his knife to cup Logan’s face and kiss him. “I promise, I swear. I think I’m okay for now, though, just a lot of chopping.”
“D’accord.” Logan kissed him once more and then settled back on his heels. “We’ll make sure everyone gets showered and clothes get washed.”
“Yes, please do. Make sure Katie washes her hair, she was laying in the sand a lot while the others made her into a mermaid.”
“D’accord,” Logan laughed. He walked around and rested a hand on Finn’s lower back. “Help us get stuff put away, then we make drinks and set the table?”
Finn kissed him. “You got it, babe.” He patted Logan’s butt. “Let’s get this party started.”
***
“Dinner and dessert were really good, Leo, thank you,” Adele said as she folded her napkin and set it on her empty plate.
Leo smiled around his last bite of cobbler. “You’re welcome, hun, glad you liked it.”
Finn stretched and rested his arm around Leo’s shoulders, kissing the side of his head. “It was great, sunshine.”
He looked around the patio table. Across from him, against the backdrop of the beach, sat Katie and Logan, Katie trying to teach him to make an origami swan out of some of the spare napkins they’d set out. Marc was on her other side with his cheek resting on his palm. He had droopy eyes and his head lolled a little on Louis’ shoulder before jerking awake.
Finn nudged his foot under the table and smiled. “You tired?”
Marc shook his head quickly. “Non, no I’m not, I swear.”
Logan looked at him with a teasing grin. “I think it’s bedtime.”
“No! I swear, I’m awake! I also don’t have a bedtime anymore, Tremzy.”
Louis scoffed beside him. “You go to sleep at nine, don’t lie.”
Marc nudged him back, and there was a brief scuffle before Adele cleared her throat loudly at them. “Boys, come on.”
They rolled their eyes but complied, giving each other one last nudge before settling down. Finn could feel Leo’s light laugh reverberate against his own body. “How about we clean the kitchen, ouais? Then we can go to bed, gotta get up early to go hike to that beach y’all wanted to go to.”
Leo made to get up, but Logan reached across and patted his hand. “Non, soleil, you cooked. The kids and I will clean up, you and Finn stay here.”
Louis narrowed his eyes. “Are we going to have to wash dishes after you again? Because mom used to make me do it when you left them still dirty.”
Finn and Leo laughed loudly at Logan’s flushed face. He narrowed his eyes and said something in French to Louis, which just made him grin wider. He shrugged and began to clear the table with his siblings.
As Logan passed, he bent down to whisper in Finn’s ear. “Keep him distracted, ouais? He did so much today.”
Finn kissed him lightly. “You got it, ten.”
“You’re not as quiet as you think you are.”
Logan just smiled at Leo and kissed him, too. “Je t’aime.” Then he was walking through the door and talking in loud French with the Dumais children.
Leo let out a sigh and rested his head on Finn’s shoulder. “Today was a good day.”
Finn kissed his curls, golden from all the time they’d spent at the beach. “You’re good with them.”
“They’re good kids. I like hanging out with them.”
Finn smiled. “I’m glad.” He lowered his mouth to talk lowly in Leo’s ear. “But Le, you’ve gotta let yourself rest.”
A sigh. “Finn…”
“No, Le, I’m not- I’m not criticizing you.” Finn wrapped him up tighter. “You’ve just spent a lot of time organizing and doing things for other people on this trip, and Lo and I don’t want you to burn yourself out, baby. That’s all.”
Leo sighed again. “I know. I know, I’m sorry.”
“Nope, no, none of that.” Finn nudged Leo’s forehead with his nose until he looked him in the eye. They were a tired blue, and Finn brushed his hair out of the way to see them a bit more clearly. “Don’t apologize, Le, baby, it’s okay. Just rest with me for a bit, alright?”
Leo nodded and leaned into Finn’s hands. “I’m-”
“-not sorry.” Finn kissed him softly and grinned. “Lean on me, sweetheart.” When Leo did, the both of them looking out at the beach, Finn let out a content sigh. “I love you.”
Leo kissed his shoulder and closed his eyes. “I love you, too.”
Finn settled back in his chair to admire the dying sun. The evening breeze was cool on the coast, even with a bit of light still lingering. Finn loved the way it brushed gently across his burnt cheeks and cooled the skin. He breathed in deeply. He’d always loved the smell of the beach: the salt, the sand, the lingering scent of seaweed. The waves splashed gently against the shore, reflecting the orange and pink colors of the sky. The sunset had glowed against Logan at dinner, making him look ethereal almost, like a figment out of Finn’s dream. It did the same to Leo now, his blond eyelashes, brushing against the highs of his cheeks, shining with a faint golden tinge. Finn kissed just below them on the slightly purple skin. “You’re beautiful.”
Leo smiled and opened his eyes. At a stronger gust of wind, he shivered and cuddled closer to Finn. “Brr.”
Finn laughed and squeezed him tighter. “Cold baby?”
“A little,” Leo whispered. He pulled the hood of his sweatshirt over his head and peeked out at Finn. “You’re warm.”
“Mm.” Finn kissed his nose. “Not as warm as our space heater.”
That made Leo let out a satisfied noise. He slouched down a bit to rest his head on Finn’s upper chest. “I wonder how he’s doing in there.”
“Hopefully not forcing Louis to wash dishes twice.”
Leo laughed. “I wouldn’t put it past him.”
They settled into a comfortable silence for a few minutes to watch the sunset. Finn remembered the first time he took Logan here and they’d done a similar thing, albeit physically farther apart. They’d spent the whole day at the beach and came back from their evening run to Ramsey making steak tips at the grill. Logan had been so happy and calm, calmer than he had been in a long time. Finn had known something was bothering him, even if he hadn’t known exactly what it was. He suspected it had something to do with the want that had been making its way through both of their bodies and hearts, made even worse by the way that, at the Hampton’s house, it had been so easy to imagine a life together: a vacation with Finn’s family, spending the entire day just enjoying one another’s company, having the exact same routine and not getting tired or wanting to separate for even a second. Finn counted himself lucky that he knew what that was like now. That he got it, doubled. Because every run he took with Logan he also took with Leo; every night after brushing his teeth there were two toothbrushes in the cup with his own; and every time he went to bed there were two pairs of arms to hold him, two sets of eyes to fall into. It gave a whole new meaning to this house, even. He got to introduce it to more people that loved it, that loved the time they spent there. For every childhood memory he had, in every room, he now had multiple new ones that were even more lovely.
Finn held one of those memories in his arms now, all sweet and gorgeous in the golden hour. He ran a palm up and down Leo’s forearm. “Feeling better, baby?”
Leo nodded. “Yeah. Thank you.” He played with the strings of his sweatshirt. “I don’t think I knew how much I needed a break.”
Finn breathed in to reply, but was interrupted by a voice coming from the doorway. “Leo?”
Leo sat himself up to turn and look at the kids, who were standing all together with Logan behind them. He smiled then looked at Katie, who’d spoken. “Hi, hun. What’s up?”
She didn’t reply right away, just walked up to give him a hug. “Thank you for hanging out with us today.”
“And for dinner,” Louis added.
“It was delicious.”
“You should give maman the recipe for the meat.”
Leo barked out a laugh. “I’ll text it to her, Marc.” He gave Katie a last gentle squeeze. “You going to bed?”
She nodded with a yawn as she removed her arms from around Leo’s neck. “Ouais. Gotta be up for the hike tomorrow, like you said.”
“I did say that, didn’t I?” He turned his body fully to smile at the others. Logan was looking at him fondly, an arm flung over Louis’ shoulder. Leo tilted his head in that way he did when he was calm and content. “Night, kids.”
They said their goodnights to Finn and Leo, then each gave Logan a fistbump as they went to ascend the stairs to their rooms. Logan watched them fondly for a second before walking over. He looked a little tired, but happy, as he leaned over to kiss their foreheads. “Ça va?”
“All good, baby,” Finn said softly. “Just keeping Leo relaxed and warm.”
“Mm.” Logan brushed a hand through Leo’s hair. “Cold, soleil?”
“A little chilly, yeah.”
“Allez, ici.”
When Logan started to pull Leo’s chair out, Leo stabilized himself with a surprised laugh. “What-”
“D’accord.” Logan, with enough space in between Leo’s chair and the table, came to straddle Leo’s lap and wrap him in a hug. Finn placed a hand on his back, as warm as ever, admiring the way Logan pressed kisses all over Leo’s face. With a last one to his nose, Logan cupped his cheeks in his palms and touched their foreheads. “Better?”
Leo’s eyes were fond. “Much.” He wrapped his arms completely around Logan’s waist and settled his face in his neck. He looked like a cute little turtle, all hunched in his sweatshirt and his curls fanning out of his hood. “Mm, you’re toasty.”
Logan sent Finn a smile. “Good.” He leaned back to squish Leo’s cheeks. “Feeling relaxed, mon coeur?” Leo nodded. “Ouais,” he said with a yawn. “I needed a break.”
Finn kissed his shoulder. “Let’s go shower and go to bed, baby.” He waggled his eyebrows. “Gotta get up nice and early for the hike tomorrow.”
Leo’s face went red and he rolled his eyes. “God, I sound like my mama.”
“We’ll make sure to tell her,” Finn teased, laughing at Leo’s tisking sound.
Logan placed a smiling kiss on each of their cheeks. “Bed?”
“Oo-ways,” Finn said. He stood and offered a hand to each of them. “C’mon, shower and snug, doctor’s orders.”
Leo snorted. “What doctor?”
“Doctor Heartthrob O’Hara,” Finn answered, giving Leo’s hand a playful tug. He patted Logan’s butt. “Let’s go, time to get naked and wet.”
“Sh,” Logan shushed, but he was smiling. “The kids.”
“Are fine, promise. They probably didn’t hear.”
Logan pinched his side playfully. “Allez, I’m not explaining to Dumo and Celeste that we traumatized their kids. Let’s go.”
Finn brought Leo’s hand up to his mouth kiss it as they followed Logan to the downstairs main bedroom. “All relaxed, sunshine?”
“So relaxed.” Leo wrapped his arms around Finn’s waist from behind. “And ready to snug. And get naked and wet.”
Finn bit his lip around a grin. “Doctor’s orders. Gotta follow ‘em.”
“Ouais,” Logan said as they got to the bathroom door. He pulled his shirt over his head. Finn and Leo weren’t shy about staring at his muscles, and Logan looked between them proudly. “Clothes off, allez.”
“Yup, I’m so relaxed.” Leo stepped back and pulled his shirt over his head, too. Finn followed the long lines of his torso before looking back up and into his mischievous expression. Leo looked at him expectantly. “Well?”
Finn nodded. “Oh boy.” He clumsily reached behind himself to pull his shirt off. When his head was out of the fabric, he got a nice view of Leo and Logan stripping down to their underwear. He sucked in a breath. “Oh boy, you’re beautiful. Got me some tan Greek gods or some shit, holy smokes.”
Leo came up to take his hands. The purple skin was still there, a little puffy, but his eyes were as playful as ever, as well as his smile. “I love you.”
“Love you more.” Finn kissed him, then laced their fingers and turned around. Logan was watching them with a fond smile, and Finn laced their fingers, too. “Shower time?”
Logan shook his head fondly. “I think you mean ‘wet and naked’ time.”
“Potato, po-tah-to. I just can’t wait to feel up your abs.”
Logan rolled his eyes but squeezed his hand and let them into the ensuite. “Allez. We have to shower and go to bed. Gotta be up early for the hike.”
“That’s so not funny anymore.”
Logan just turned on the showerhead and took up their exfoliating cloth. He looked at Finn first with his gorgeous eyes, then at Leo. “Allez, soleil,” he said. His smile and Leo’s skin warmed Finn through. “Let me wash your back.”
What anxiety meds do you think Finn is on? That boy had got to be on something to be so well adjusted all things considered lmao
I definitely think that, after three concussions, Finn might need some help. They do permanently alter your brain chemistry, and can expedite mental health conditions, which I say as someone who did have multiple concussions and then was diagnosed with anxiety! Meds and therapy really help, but it can still be kind of confusing to develop anxiety as you get older (or, at least have it manifest more prominently in adulthood) instead of being diagnosed with it at an earlier age (because it can also be hereditary). So, this was a fun look into Fish's brain!
If you don't headcanon him with anxiety, that's okay! It's not obligatory to headcanon characters with ADHD, anxiety, OCD, etc., (and, in fact, doing that too often or to every single one can be harmful to the actual effects/perception of them in society), HOWEVER, those with those mental health conditions sometimes do it because they see themselves in the character and heavily relate, which is fine, too!

“Finn, honey, you’ve gotta take them.”
Finn didn’t answer, just crossed his arms on the counter and rested his chin on them. The orange bottle stared back at him. He tried to read the words on its white label, but they didn’t make any sense to him. Just a bunch of scientific words that he’d never understand.
A hand settled itself on his upper back. “Sweetheart,” Leo said gently. “Sweetheart, do you want to try later?”
Finn sighed. “No, thank you. I need to do this.”
“Baby.” Leo sat down on the stool beside him. He tilted his head to rest against Finn’s. “You know I love you?”
“Mhm.”
“And that I want you to do what’s best for you always?”
“Yeah.”
A worried, sad sigh. “Finn.”
Finn dropped his head back as his eyes felt hot. “Le…”
“Okay.” Leo let Finn slump into him, wrapping him up tightly as the first hitching breath escaped Finn’s mouth. “Okay, sweetheart, I’ve got you. I’ve got you.”
“Leo.”
“Sh, Finn. Look at me.” Leo held Finn’s face firmly in his hands. Finn wasn’t crying, but he looked distraught. Leo smiled. “Hey, baby, hi. Hi, beautiful.” He pressed a hard kiss to Finn’s forehead. “It’s okay, sweetheart, I’ve got you.”
“I don’t know what wrong-”
“Nothing’s wrong. Hey.” Leo gripped Finn’s jaw when he tried to look away. Blue eyes burned back into Finn’s own, and he felt safe and grounded and also like he was falling. Leo kissed his forehead again. “Hey, I love you. And this is going to help you, okay? The doctor said it would.”
“But I don’t have anxiety, peanut. Or, like, it’s not been- I didn’t when I was a kid.” Leo nodded along, even though he’d heard all this many times. “I just- I don’t know, I’m an adult, Le, and this is hard.”
“I know, baby, I know.” Leo pulled him into a hug, squeezing him just like he liked. “But just because you didn’t need it when you were a kid doesn’t mean you don’t need it now, okay? And it’s not forever, baby, it’s until you feel like it doesn’t help you anymore, or like you don’t need it.”
Finn nodded against Leo’s shoulder. He could vividly see the day the doctor had told him anxiety medication might be a way to help. He had been on edge for months, with trouble sleeping and chest pains, and finally Leo had put his foot down and taken him to the doctor. His anxiety had developed, a therapist had explained to him; from what he and Logan went through in college, to dancing around both Leo and Logan before they were together, to being long-distance, to getting a third concussion. The therapist explained that the concussion could have triggered it more extremely, as a “response to multiple traumatic brain injuries”. Finn had never thought of a concussion as a traumatic brain injury before. To him, it was an associated risk to his profession. If he had known, he wondered if he’d have been more careful.
“Finn,” Leo whispered. “Want me to call Lo?” At Finn’s eager nod against his shoulder, Leo moved to reach into his back pocket. “Okay, let’s sit up, baby.”
When they were sitting up straighter, Finn slouched just slightly to rest his head on Leo’s shoulder, Leo set his phone against the ceramic salt container and clicked on Logan’s contact. Almost immediately, Finn got a full view of Logan’s gorgeous green eyes and soft smile. It quickly faded, though, when he saw Finn’s face. “What’s wrong?” he asked, in lieu of hello.
“Hi, sweetheart,” Leo whispered. Finn felt grateful- he didn’t think he could handle talking at full volume. “We’re just having a little trouble taking our meds.”
Logan’s concerned face turned soft, eyes roving over Finn. “Mon rouge. What’s going on, mon amour?”
Finn sighed. “Don’t know. Just really don’t wanna take them. It’s all new.”
“Ouais,” Logan nodded. He looked contemplative for a second, then smiled. “You want to know what helps me do something new?”
Finn perked up. “What?”
“You.” Logan let out a laugh at Finn’s confused face. “Non, it’s true. You and Le help me do new things.”
“Baby,” Finn said. “I really appreciate the help, but I don’t understand…”
“Remember my first presentation I did at Harvard? In my American History class?” At Finn’s nod, he continued. “You let me practice for hours in our room. You sat on your bed and let me make mistakes, and you smiled at me, and you gave me a high five before I went in, and you were there waiting for me after class.” He bit his lip around his grin. “I don’t even know what I said, or what my classmates looked like. All I saw was your face and all I thought about was how proud you were of me.”
Finn nuzzled his way further into Leo’s side. “I was proud of you.”
Leo squeezed his hip and ducked to talk in his ear. “Do you remember the first time you came to New Orleans, the day after I told you about Jack? When we had to go to the bait shop near his house?”
Despite himself, Finn smiled against the skin of Leo’s neck. “You were so nervous.”
“Well, I didn’t want to run into him. We used to go there a lot.” He kissed Finn’s cheek. “And you drove, because I was too nervous, and you parked in a shaded spot a few blocks away. Then you and Logan talked to me, and you kissed me, and you waited in the car while Logan and I went together. And even though we didn’t see him, I didn’t relax until I was back in the Jeep, but I still did it because you were there waiting to tell me how proud of me you were.” Leo nudged Finn’s cheek with his nose until Finn lifted his head and met his mouth in a kiss. “Let us be here for you, honey. We’re so proud of you.”
Finn looked up at him. “Yeah?”
“Of course, Finn.” Leo was smiling, but his eyebrows were furrowed in confusion. “Did you think we wouldn’t be?”
Finn shrugged. “I don’t know.”
“Rouge,” Logan said. “We want you to get help, mon coeur. You’re brave to ask for help.”
“Yeah, sweetheart, you tell me the same thing all the time.”
Finn nodded. “Okay.” A deep breath. “Okay, okay.” He held out his hand, palm up. “Hit me, sunshine.”
Leo laughed, but popped open the container and shook a pill into Finn’s right hand, placing a water glass in his left. “On three, honey. One, two…”
Finn chucked the pill into his mouth, immediately following it with water so he didn’t feel it for too long in the back of his throat. He drank until the glass was empty, just to be safe, then slammed it down like he would a shot glass at the bar. “Done,” he said, wiping his mouth.
“Allez,” Logan said. He was smiling widely. “Allez, mon rouge.”
“Well done baby.” Leo wrapped Finn up again and placed hard, happy kisses all over his face. “So proud of you.”
“Thank you,” Finn said. He gasped out a laugh at Leo’s playful pinch to his waist, which let his mouth free for Leo to claim in a deep kiss. He melted a bit, the laughter fading, but he felt happy and content in Leo’s arms, with Logan’s voice ringing through his ears. He broke away from Leo with another soft peck to his mouth. “Thank you, I love you. I love you both so much.”
“Mm, ouais, love you, too.” Logan was looking at them fondly. “You should kiss again.”
“Oh yeah?” Leo looped his ankles around Finn’s stools to draw him closer. “You want a show?”
“Oui, I do.”
Leo turned that mischievous grin on Finn. “C’mere, O’Hara, grumpy wants to watch us get it on.”
“Non, I didn’t say that!”
Finn raised his eyebrows at the telephone screen, breath hitching when he felt Leo’s lips on his neck. “No?”
Logan looked a little confused and very wanting. “Mais, well, je- I-”
But he cut himself off as Leo kissed Finn on the mouth again. Finn knew he was putting on a show for Logan, his movements much more pointed and dramatic than they normally were. Finn also knew that Leo knew that he knew, because the smile and wink he gave Finn after was nothing short of sly and playful. Finn smiled back and kissed him again. He heard the sound of clicking on the other side of the screen. “Got your screenshot, ten?”
“Oui.” Logan sounded proud. “Oui, I did.”
“Mm, good,” Finn mumbled against Leo’s mouth. He pulled away with one more kiss and rested their foreheads together. “Love you.”
“Love you, sweetheart.” Leo kissed his cheek once more, then slapped his thighs and stood up. “Okay. Who wants supper?”
Logan groaned. “Me, allez, I miss your cooking so much.”
Leo grinned. “One more week, then we see you in the Big Apple, honey. I’ll send you an ingredients list to buy before we get there.”
Logan just made another satisfied noise. “Ouais, yes.”
Leo rolled his eyes fondly and took out a knife and a cutting board. Finn watched his tongue poke out in concentration and the curls that fell over his forehead. He was beautiful, objectively- Finn wasn’t unaware of that. But, he was even more beautiful because he was Finn’s.
“Finn, ça va?”
Finn jerked and looked at Logan, who was staring at him a little warily. He, too, was gorgeous. Always had been. He drew eyes wherever they went, and Finn felt like he carried this dirty little secret around that Logan was off the market. It filled him with fire and warmed him all over. “Yeah, baby. All good.” He looked between the two of them. “Just thinking about how gorgeous you are.”
Leo smiled and leaned over to kiss Finn’s forehead. Finn preened at the gesture, smiling satisfactorily, and settled back to relax on the stool. He saw Logan still looking at him with concern, and he rolled his eyes. “Hey, Trelembalaylay.”
Logan looked kind of exasperated, but mostly fond. “Yes?”
“I was thinking of getting your name tattooed across my forehead, what do you think?”
Logan hung his head back, but he was grinning. “You’re trouble.”
“Only yours, babe,” Finn said with a wink. “Now, lay it on me. How you feeling about the Habs tomorrow?”
Finn and Leo listened as Logan went on about zone time and save percentage, about power plays and penalty kills, contributing every now and then with their own thoughts. The kitchen soon carried the aroma of Leo’s chicken soup and the focaccia he’d been prepping that afternoon, and Finn closed his eyes to breathe in the scent. It smelled like home and felt like warmth, and Finn was so in love it filled him up head to toe. Anxiety was hard, and it was stressful, and he was navigating something new, but he knew this feeling would never change. In fact, he hoped it would last a lifetime.
And so when he opened his eyes and gazed at their smiles, suddenly taking a little pill once a day didn’t seem so daunting.
Harvard era finnlo plz👀 gotta love angst w/ baby finnlo love and sweetness
*Sighs*
Once again, I cannot write unresolved angst. It's just too painful, and I don't like to hurt myself that much. HOWEVER, this piece does STAY a little angsty because Leo is a *kinda hurt* ray of sunshine in NOLA after the playoffs, BUT FinnLo miss him SOSOSO much!
Please keep sending in prompts if you'd like! I'm almost done writing all the ones I've got. :)

Logan didn’t know how to be mad at Finn. That’s what he’d discovered after their first fight.
Finn had promised to help him with his English reading, but then he’d had to meet up with his French Literature group for a project at the last minute because their professor had moved the due date up. With Samyra. Logan liked Samyra. She was nice, funny, smart, beautiful- and obviously got along with Finn. Logan wouldn’t be surprised if he asked her out. And Logan really should have been happy about that, should have been understanding about the fact that Finn really did have a good excuse to miss their study session. But it was Finn. He drove Logan crazy, he made Logan laugh, he made Logan lose every single bit of rationale he was holding in.
And he was also supposed to help Logan study for his English midterm.
Logan really regretted yelling. Irritation was justified, even if it wasn’t Finn’s fault. Feelings were justified, as Aubrey loved to remind him when he was little and got hot-headed, but the actions one took afterwards sometimes weren’t. And yelling at Finn, who had been trying to be reasonable even if he was confused, definitely wasn’t justified. Logan had slammed the door so hard after him a book had fallen from Finn’s shelf. Pride and Prejudice. Logan almost cried at the memory of him and Finn watching the movie the day Logan had turned in his essay on it.
Now, Logan was still sitting at his desk, trying to make sense of the essay prompts they were given for Romeo and Juliet. Logan had read it in high school, but in French, and never with the level of analysis his professor required. He let out a frustrated grunt and threw his pencil down. He looked at his phone. 5:30.
The dining hall would be getting busy soon. He should have gone before all the good options were gone, but he never went alone. He and Finn always went together, even if they were coming from different places or left to meet up with different people after eating. It was Logan’s favorite part of the day: Finn’s undivided attention, Finn’s laugh, the way Finn always gave him half of his dessert. Logan let out a shaky breath and covered his face with his hands.
After a moment, he heard a thump outside of their door and then the sound of the knob being turned. Finn walked through, humming to whatever was playing through his AirPods. He stopped when he saw Logan, looking him up and down, before taking his headphones out. The silence that stretched between him removing them from his ears and their case clicking shut seemed like an eternity.
Finally, he looked Logan in the eye. “Hey, Lo. I-”
“I’m sorry,” Logan interrupted, standing abruptly. They weren’t eye to eye, so Finn had to look down, and even though the difference wasn’t much, Logan still felt incredibly small. Finn’s gaze was a little curious, a little shocked, a little hurt. Logan hated hurting Finn. “I’m sorry,” he said again. His accent sounded thick. “I’m so sorry, I should not have yelled at you. That was not fair.”
Finn’s shoulder relaxed, the hurt fading into something Logan didn’t understand, but all that mattered was that Finn was looking at him. “Hey, no, it’s okay. You’re stressed.”
“No,” Logan shook his head. “Non, non, it’s never okay to yell at you like that. I-” He stopped. English was hard for him. He tried to think of what Aubrey would tell him to do.
Breathe. Breathe, Logan, it’s okay to feel things. It’s okay to apologize, too.
Logan took a deep breath. “I am sorry. I am stressed, and I was frustrated, but I should not have yelled at you.” He averted his gaze and looked down at his sneakers. He could make out where Finn had signed his name on the top of his foot with a smiley face. It made his breath catch all over again. “I don’t want you to be mad at me.”
“What? Wait, no, Logan-” Finn cut himself off to grab Logan’s shoulders, ducking down to meet his eyes. “No, God, I’m not mad at you. I can’t- I can’t be mad at you.”
Logan jerked his head up. “What?” That sounded too close to-
“You’re my best friend. I can’t be mad at you.” Finn jostled him lightly. “You’re my best friend, okay? Forever. You don’t have a choice.”
“Oh.” The news wasn’t new to Logan, but for some reason he still felt surprised. “You’re my best friend, too.”
“Good. C’mere.”
Finn wrapped him in a hug. His arms were strong and his chest was solid. Logan knew his hands were too low on Finn’s back, clutching at his waist. Normal friends didn’t hug like that. But Finn and Logan did. Logan was confused and scared, but he was mostly warm and safe. Finn’s arms were safe. Even if Logan didn’t know anything else, he certainly knew that.
“Okay,” Finn said, giving Logan one more squeeze before leaning back. They were a little further apart now, but they didn’t completely remove their arms from around each other. Finn smiled down at him. “Pack your stuff. Let’s go get dinner and go to the library. I’ll help you with your English essay, ‘kay?”
“D’accord,” Logan said, pulling away from Finn’s warmth to pack his things. A thought popped into his head, and he felt a pang in his stomach as he asked, “Did you ask Samyra out?”
Finn blinked. “Uh, no? She’s got a girlfriend. We’re just friends.” He cocked his head. “Why?”
“Oh, uh…” Logan shrugged. “Seemed nice, that’s all. Thought you might like her.”
Finn smiled slightly and shook his head. “No. No.” He bit his lip and looked Logan up and down. “No, I’m all set for now, actually.” He jerked his head towards the door. “C’mon, the dining hall will be busy soon, and I want to get the chocolate pudding before it’s gone.”
“You mean you want to get it and give it to me, don’t you?”
Finn shoved him out the door. “Maybe with other desserts, but not with chocolate pudding. Let’s go, Tremblay, you’ve got an essay to write and I’m starving.”
Logan laughed and walked with Finn down the stairs and out of the house. In the sunshine, with Finn as his company, he felt a little lighter.

“Fuck me, this steak is good.”
Logan smiled against the rim of his wine glass. Across the table, Finn had his cutlery poised and his mouth closed, slowly chewing his bite of New York strip. After a moment, he hummed in appreciation and opened his eyes. He smiled at Logan around his food. “What?”
Logan swallowed his wine and set the glass down. “You’re cute.”
That made Finn’s eyes sparkle. “You flirting with me, ten?”
Logan looked from his eyes, to his lips, to his capable hands, then back up to his face, where his cheeks were now flushing slightly. “Maybe.”
Finn put the utensils down and squeezed Logan’s ankle between his own two feet. “Stop that, I’ll never eat my steak if you keep looking at me like that. And it’s good steak.”
“Ouais, it is,” Logan sighed, picking up his own fork and knife and cutting into his piece of meat. “Le would like this place.”
“Mm.” Finn finished another bite. “Well, we can take him. When he gets back from New Orleans.”
“Ouais.” Logan worried the inside of his cheek. “Fish?”
At Logan’s tone, Finn looked up from his plate. “Yeah?”
Logan let out a nervous breath. “Do you think Leo’s mad at me?”
Finn studied him for a moment. The dim restaurant lights made his eyes look warm. Or, maybe, that’s just how they looked when they saw Logan. “No, baby. He’s not mad.”
Logan nodded minutely. “Ouais. Non, ouais, you’re right, I’m sorry. That was silly.”
“Hey, hey,” Finn said, taking both of Logan’s hands in his own and squeezing his fingers. He was leaning across the table a bit now, as if to keep their conversation private. “He’s not mad at you. Mad that we lost in the playoffs? Yes. Mad that he was in goal? Yes. Mad that it was you who scored on him? Yes. But he’s not mad at you, baby.” Finn paused for a minute, scrunching his eyes in thought. “I don’t even think he’s mad, more frustrated, because he could never be mad at you. And he's hurt. Hurt that we ended up in that situation and that we were forced to face each other like that. Hurt that he did, that he had to face some things he really didn’t want to.”
Logan let out an angry breath. “Jack.”
Finn kissed his fingers. “Yes. Jack, but not just him. Le felt so separate there, for a minute, you know? When I got my concussion. And you talked it out, and it’s fine now, but it did happen. And so he was frustrated at himself, and Jack, and the playoffs, and-” Finn looked conflicted for a second.
“What?” Logan pressed. “What, rouge?”
When Finn’s eyes looked into his, they were almost a little sad, but he smiled anyway. “I think that, the longer we’re dating, and the more he learns about the two of us at Harvard… I don’t know, he just gets more frustrated with the fact that he wasn’t there? Not like, sad, but- selfish, I guess, for the years he didn’t know us. Not that he could have, obviously, and we’re together forever, there’s no stopping that.” Finn smiled when Logan let out a light laugh. He shrugged. “I think he just wants to have been there with us. It probably would have been messy, I know, but- I don’t know, even I’m selfish for that lost time with him, I guess. With both of you. It would have meant more time with him, if he was there with us.”
Logan nodded. “Ouais. Ouais, I would have liked him there, too.” He brought Finn’s hands up to his own mouth, now, and kissed them gently. “But I also like him here.” He brushed a hand through Finn’s hair. “He helped me be okay with loving you both. With loving myself. And I don’t think I would have felt that way in college, even if he was there. I had a lot to learn.” He grinned softly. “I also cannot be mad at him. Or you. Never could.”
Finn laughed. “Yeah, me neither. And yeah, you did. We both did.” He cupped Logan’s cheek and kissed him gently. “I love you.”
Logan smiled against his mouth and kissed him again. “I love you, too.”
When he sat back and picked up his utensils again, he spared a glance at Finn. It was different than sitting across from him in the Harvard dining hall. He was still Finn. He made Logan laugh like he did back then, but it was also more now. He kissed Logan, he held Logan, he gave Logan pleasure so deep and heady, let Logan give him pleasure until they were shaking with it. He loved Logan. He loved Leo. He kissed Leo, held Leo, made love to Leo. Logan loved seeing him love Leo. He loved seeing Leo love Finn. He loved both of his boys receiving the love they so deserved, that he wanted them to have. He loved how gently they treated each other and him. He couldn’t ask for anything more, didn’t want to. He had everything he’d ever wanted, and even more than he’d ever thought to look for in the first place.
“You okay?” Finn asked, breaking him out of his reverie.
Logan smiled at him. “Ouais.” He pressed their ankles more insistently together. “I love sitting across from you at dinner.”
Finn tilted his head questioningly at him for a moment. Logan watched the moment he understood and felt something warm settle in his chest. Finn reached across and playfully pushed at his cheek. “Fuck, ten, don’t say things like that, or we’re going to be out of here real fast. And I am enjoying this steak.”
“Oui,” Logan agreed. “It’s good steak.” He took a bite and considered for a moment. “But not as good as Leo’s”
“Ain’t that the truth. C’mon, eat up, you need all the protein you can get for those big muscles of yours. Then we can go home and call sunshine.”
Logan rolled his eyes playfully but obeyed, and poised his fork and knife.
i just saw a tik tok where a hockey player used the bottom of their skate to crack a drink can to shotgun it… i’m envisioning…
(ur work is incredibly and i’m obsessed w everything you write!!!)
I SAW A VIDEO OF THIS, TOO! It was a women's college hockey team- very impressive!
I gotta say, though, this one kind of got away from me. It went in a COMPLETELY different direction than I thought it was going to, although I'm not mad about it. I hope you like it!
I'm also currently sat with a cup of tea and my computer, writing up a storm! I am hoping to have these prompts written and edited within the next day or two, so please send me more if you want!

Logan didn’t even like the taste of beer that much, but the cold liquid did feel good sliding down his throat after a win. It was late April now, just before the playoffs, and the Rangers had finished their undefeated home streak with another win, setting off an electric feeling in the locker room. They had barely finished taking off their jersey when Percy and Alex had supplied them with beers.
“Fucking beauty of a goal, Tremz!” Percy shouted in his ear over the thumping bass music. “OT win to close it out, let’s fucking go!”
Logan laughed and let Percy tip his head back again and press a can to his lips. It wasn’t the nice beer- that would be ordered later at the bar they would inevitably end up at- so it left a lingering dirty after taste, but Logan soaked up the warm feeling of his teammates around him and the adrenaline of the win and let it fill him right up. He felt Percy slap him on the back as he removed the can from his lips.
“Gentlemen!” he yelled, turning to look at Logan with a sly grin. “I think it’s time for our three scorers of the game to get this party started.”
“What the fuck are you planning?” Will asked with narrowed eyes.
“A Harvard hockey tradition,” Percy said. He reached into the cardboard box and pulled out three beers. “Morgs, Hazard, Tremz, sit.”
Logan took a breath in and shook his head amusedly. “Non, no fucking way.”
“Yes way, man, you gotta! You were the king of this!”
Logan sighed and sat between Will and Alex in front of their stalls. Alex leaned over with confused eyes. “What the hell is going on?” he whispered.
Logan grinned. “We have to open the cans with our skate blades and shotgun them.”
Alex just blinked at him. “You’re joking.”
“I’m not. We used to do this back at Harvard.”
“Finn too?”
“Ouais.” Logan laughed at the memories. “He was never very good at it.”
“Nah, he doesn’t like chugging alcohol. Prefers to sip, the pretentious bastard.”
Logan just nudged him playfully. “I think it’s cute.”
“Of course you do, you have no chill.” Alex sat up and slapped his thighs. “Alright, Perseus, hit me.”
Percy’s smile was elated and, perhaps, slightly tipsy. “That’s the fucking spirit, bro.” He handed them each their beers.
“Fuck, haven’t done this in years,” Will said from Logan’s other side. “You remember that time after playing BC? Your rookie season?”
Logan laughed. “Fuck, that was shit beer.”
Will smiled at him. “Yeah, it was. Finn gave up halfway through.” He reached up to ruffle Logan’s waves. “But I remember some rookie leaving us all in the dust.”
“Ouais,” Logan said, rolling his eyes playfully. “I guess I had a reputation.”
“You absolutely fucking did,” Percy interrupted. “Okay, okay, who’s videoing? Who’s got a phone?”
“Ici,” Logan said, reaching behind him into his stall and getting his phone. He held it out to Luke, who’d come over to watch. “Allez, Dev, take it, please.”
Luke sighed. “I forget that you’re a frat boy sometimes.”
“Non, I’m not,” Logan protested, aligning the can underneath his skate blade as Alex and Will did the same. “Not anymore.”
“Habits are hard to break,” Luke teased, laughing at Logan’s scoff. He held up the phone. Saint came to his side to watch, and Logan didn’t miss the way their hips were brushing. “Okay, ready.”
“Gentlemen!” Percy called again. “Are you ready?”
“Jesus, you’re so dramatic,” Will said, poised and ready. “Let’s just get this over with.”
“On your marks, get set, go!”
Logan slashed the can with the heel of his blade and scooped it up to his mouth. He could hear the cheers around him, Will, and Alex as they chugged. Alex made some sort of strangled sound from beside him, but Logan ignored it, forcing his throat to open to let the liquid down. He sucked in, one, two, three, four, and when he felt nothing left, he slammed the can onto the ground with a gasp and a pant. “Allez!”
Will let out a laugh as he took one last chug, and Alex coughed as he finished his own beer. “Fucking hell, that’s shit.”
“You still got it, don’t you?” Will said, squeezing his can between his hands to crush it. “Jesus, that’s harder than it was five years ago.”
“How did you do that?” Alex groaned. “Fuck, the hole was too fucking small, and that is really awful beer. Kase and Nat aren’t gonna believe I did this.”
“Practice, mon ami.” Logan slapped him on the back and stood. “Did you get it?” he asked Luke.
“Yeah,” Luke said, handing over Logan’s phone. “Your boys are gonna love that one.”
Logan punched him softly in the arm. “Shut up.”
Luke just winked and turned to go take off his pads. Logan sighed, looking down at his phone. He watched the video once. It felt like a trip- with him, Will and Alex, who look so much like Finn, sitting and chugging beer, Logan could almost pretend he was back at Harvard, reliving the first time he did this in the BC locker room. He remembered he had felt hot and bothered with Finn’s thigh pressed against his and confused by the swirling emotion in his chest. He sighed, a little wistfully, and opened his group chat with Finn and Leo. They’d already sent him texts after his game, ranging from inappropriate to sweet, but always smitten. He bit his lip as his cheeks heated up and sent them the video. Percy made us do it, he typed. I love you.
He listened to the swoosh sound of the message going through and propped his leg up to take off his skates.

Hours later, Logan was pleasantly buzzed and fumbling with his keys to open his apartment door. Behind him, Alex was laughing. “You okay, Tremz?”
“Ouais.” Logan stuck his tongue through his teeth and focused. When he got the key in the lock and turned, he let out a sigh of relief. “Allez, it’s open.”
“Good.” Alex pulled him in for a hug. “Night, bud, say hi to my brother and Leo.”
Logan laughed disbelievingly. “What? How did you…?”
Alex rolled his eyes good-naturedly. “You have two sips of alcohol and you turn into the biggest softie known to man. Go, go call them, they’re probably waiting.”
“Ah, ouais,” Logan said sheepishly. “Let me know when you get home.”
Alex winked. “Will do. Night, Lo.”
Logan felt himself smile at the nickname. “Night, Al.”
He felt a little fuzzy as he went through the motions of getting ready for bed. No sooner had he stepped through his apartment door than he was ripping his shirt off, body hot from the alcohol and the spring evening, and putting on a clean pair of boxers like Leo would have wanted him to do. He smiled at the thought as he put his clothes in the laundry hamper and pulled out his phone to check the time. It was late, around one in the morning, but he had received a text from Leo not thirty minutes prior. The Lions had a few days off, and he knew Finn and Leo had gone out to dinner with Thomas and Cole, so there was a chance they were still awake. He smiled as he opened the message. It was a video of Finn, sitting on the couch in nice black slacks and a thin light purple shirt. His collar was undone and he had obviously been in the middle of undoing his belt when he got distracted by something on his phone. Logan squinted and realized it was the video of him. Logan laughed as Finn replayed once, then twice more. His ears were red. Leo flipped the camera, shaking his head fondly, then winked. “Love you,” he whispered, then the video stopped.
The sigh Logan let out sounded wanting, even to himself, as he rolled over onto his stomach on the bed. He still felt a little out of it from the beer and the four rum and cokes he’d drunk at the bar, so he didn’t even think before pressing the video camera icon just beside Leo’s name.
When Leo picked up, Logan got a full view of his smile and fluffy curls peeking out of the hood of his maroon sweatshirt. It looked like one of Finn’s from Harvard. He was sitting on the couch, the overhead lights dimmed in the late night. “Hi, sweetheart. Good game.” When Logan didn’t say anything, just smiled at him, he let out a snort and his eyes lit up further. “Oh my God, how much did you have to drink?”
Logan just made a happy sound and hid his face in the pillows. He and Leo just gazed at each other for a moment before there was a voice from off the screen. “Is that Lo?”
Leo looked up to where Logan presumed Finn was. “Yeah, honey, come say hi.”
Finn suddenly appeared at Leo’s side, his reading glasses shifting as his nose scrunched with his freckled smile. “Hi, baby. Good night?”
Logan nodded. “Ouais. Went to a bar.”
Finn’s eyes flitted over his face. “I know, I can tell. You’ve got sleepy eyes.” He turned his head to press kisses to Leo’s rosy cheeks.
Logan hated the distance more than anything, but he did love watching them love one another, even if it was through a screen. He lived for these video calls more than he could ever put into words. “Did you like my video?”
Leo nodded, and Finn made an approving sound against his skin. With a last kiss, he pulled away and turned back to look at Logan again. “Like it? Fucking loved it, what a blast from the past. You’re so hot and sexy, Lo, baby.”
Logan wiggled his hips unconsciously, pleased. He looked at Leo. “Et toi, soleil?”
Leo’s smile made him feel cozy all over. “Of course I loved it, sweetheart. Very impressive.”
“Mm, good.” He yawned. “I’m sleepy.”
Leo made a tisking sound. “I know, honey. Have you brushed your teeth and washed your face?”
Logan hid his face in the pillows. “Non. Not yet.”
“Take us with you, honey, and we’ll talk before bed. It’s late.”
“Mm.” Logan didn’t get up immediately, just folded his arms on top of a pillow and let his phone lean against the headboard. “I miss you,” he sighed. “Wish you were here to snuggle me.”
Leo was still smiling at him, but Logan saw his eyes turn a little sad. He was always trying to be positive and make things better, and Logan loved him for it, but sometimes even that mask slipped a little. Leo probably wouldn’t sleep tonight. Logan wanted to be there to rub his back and kiss his forehead in the moonlight.
“Us, too, Lo,” Finn said. He pulled Leo’s head to rest onto his shoulder and wrapped his arms around him. It seemed he’d noticed Leo’s eyes dim a little bit, too. Despite the pain, that comforted Logan a bit, and he watched as Finn watched him. “We’ll see you in a few weeks, baby, I promise. Go get ready for bed, we’ll be right here.”
Logan didn’t think he’d ever get used to going through his night routine without someone there to put their hands on his hips or press kisses to his neck. He had suddenly felt cold, and dug around in his closet for the Saints sweatshirt that still smelled like Leo’s cologne. Now, he had his tooth brush hanging out of his mouth and his phone propped against his soap bottle as Leo told him a story about how Finn scared a girl at the bar today.
“...and he just stood there, silent, waiting for her to move so he could use the bathroom. And she was short, like five feet tall, so obviously she got scared shitless when a big man was behind her trying to squeeze by.” Leo smiled delightedly at Finn’s groan. “She spilled her drink all over her white pants.”
Logan laughed as Finn came out of his hiding place that was Leo’s neck. “Oh, mon rouge.”
“I didn’t know what to do, okay? I thought I had enough space to squeeze past!”
Leo tilted his head to meet Finn’s eyes. “Honey, you’re a six foot professional hockey player, you can’t just squeeze through anywhere.” He kissed Finn’s chest and rested his face against it. It squished his cheek and Logan suppressed the urge to reach through the screen and pinch his other one. “Anyways, he bought her and her friends two rounds of drinks, then they really liked him. I had to go rescue our boyfriend again, honey.”
Logan smiled as he washed his face. “Again?” he teased, standing to reach for a towel.
“I can’t help it!” Finn defeatedly slouched forward to press his face into Leo’s neck. “I don’t know why everyone thinks that I’m flirting, I’m just friendly.”
“Yeah, too friendly,” Leo joked.
Finn made a playful sound and bit at Leo’s jaw. “I’m only too friendly with you two, I’ll have you know.” His big brown eyes blinked out tiredly at Logan. “Hi, Lo, baby.”
“Salut.” Logan picked his phone up and walked back to his bedroom, boxing himself in with pillows and snuggling under the sheets. “D’accord, it’s late. You need to go to bed.”
“No,” Finn whined. Logan saw him squeeze Leo tightly, even through his yawn. “No, no, let’s stay up and talk. An all-nighter.”
Logan shook his head, smiling softly. “Non, rouge, I have practice in the morning, then we fly out to Calgary.”
“No,” Finn protested again. His voice was a little tight, and his brow was furrowed. Logan could see Leo biting the inside of his cheek at Finn’s distress. “No, Lo, stay up. Stay up, baby.”
“Rouge.” Logan’s eyes felt a little hot. “Rouge, you have to sleep.”
Finn sighed heavily. “I miss you.” Leo shifted to sit up fully, bringing Finn to rest on his chest now.
“Je sais,” Logan whispered. “Look at me, mon amour.” When Finn did, Logan watched a tear fall down his cheek. Logan thought about what Leo would do if he were far away from them, and he plastered a smile on his face. It felt almost sad, but it was real. He didn’t force his smiles for Finn anymore. “I love you. I miss you, but I love you, too, d’accord? I love you more than I miss you. And that’s what matters, oui?”
“I know.” Finn sniffed. He clutched at the hands Leo had wrapped around his waist. “I know, I love you, too.”
Logan smiled a little wider now, then looked at Leo’s face. He was smiling, too, a little sadly. He dipped his chin into Finn’s hair. I’ve got him. Don’t worry, sweetheart.
“Allez.” Logan pursed his lips in a kiss. “I love you, mes amours. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
“We love you, honey.” Leo kissed the top of Finn’s head, which was lolling back as he obviously struggled to not close his eyes. The purple under his eyes made him look exhausted, but he was still just as gorgeous as the day Logan had met him. Leo, too, with his crystal blue eyes that were gazing at Logan so lovingly it made his breath catch. “Sweet dreams, Lo, we’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
“Love you,” Logan said once more before hanging up. The second he shut his phone off, it felt as though warmth had left him. It wasn’t okay, but Logan had learned to sleep in cold sheets.
He lay awake for a while, a pillow clutched in his arms and curled on his side, when his phone lit up with a text. He reached for it and squinted. Leo again.
When he opened it, it was a photo. Finn and Leo were in bed now, Finn passed out with his cheek against Leo’s chest and his fingers curled around the neckline of Leo’s sweatshirt. Logan could tell he was sleeping heavily in the way he did when he was really exhausted, his mouth open slightly. Logan could almost hear his soft snoring. Leo had slightly dark circles under his eyes, but he was smiling, cheek resting on the top of Finn’s head. He looked so soft and cozy and warm, and Logan wanted nothing more than to be wrapped in his arms.
We love you, sweetheart, Leo’s text read. Sleep tight.
I love you, I love you, I love you so much, Logan wrote back. Good night.
He went to set his phone back on his nightstand, but paused. He rubbed his thumb over Leo’s smile, over the slope of Finn’s nose, as if he could actually feel them. No, he decided. The nightstand would be too far. So, he clutched his phone to his chest and stared at it, imagining their body heat mixing with his, until he fell asleep.
And if in the morning, while brushing his teeth, while making breakfast, he spent the whole time staring at his new lock screen- well, he would just say he was a man in love.
PLS I LOVE LEOS CURLS

“Okay, checklist,” Leo said, pushing his wet hair back from his face. He counted off on his fingers. “Chicken thighs. Zucchini. Got all the stuff for the sauce here at home, so there’s nothing to worry about there. Summer squash. Those nice sweet onions, those are good. Oh, shallots, too, actually, I’ll add those to the sauce, now that I think about it.”
Finn absentmindedly carded his fingers through Leo’s hair to help him rinse off his conditioner as he continued to babble. “That nice bread from the bakery, baby?” he suggested.
“Oo, yes, good one, Finn.” Leo reached for their exfoliatoing pad and the soap bar. “But I’ll have to go after going to the grocery store. The bakery is in the other direction, and I want to get the chicken thighs marinating and in the fridge as soon as possible.”
“Soleil,” Logan said, reaching up to wash Leo’s back. “Are you sure you don’t want me to run to the bakery, mon coeur?”
Leo shook his head. “No, thanks, it’s okay. I’ll need your help here. Besides, they take a new batch out around one, so I’ll go to pick it up then, fresh, before we head to Finn’s parent’s place at three.”
Finn smiled. “You’ve got a whole schedule, don’t you?”
“I’ve gotta. I told your mom I’d make this dinner for her so she and your aunt could relax.”
“Yes, but are you relaxed, baby?”
“No, but that’s okay. I like to cook!”
“Okay.” Finn kissed his cheek. “Want me to help you with your hair?”
“No, thanks, honey. I’ll rewet it and do it before we leave. I’m gonna go, gotta arrive when the supermarket opens. I love you.” And with a kiss to each of their cheeks, he was out of the shower and rushing to put his clothes on.
Finn followed his body with his eyes until he couldn’t see him anymore before turning to look at Logan. He was finishing washing himself, also staring at where Leo had walked off to. Logan noticed him watching and smiled softly. “Bien?”
“Oo-ways,” Finn said, wrapping his arms around Logan’s waist and kissing him briefly. “You think he’ll be okay?”
Logan nodded. “Ouais, just stressed.” He looked again towards the open bathroom door. “I think his hair is going to bother him later.”
“Mm.” Finn stepped back to open the shower door and grab their towels. “He doesn’t like it when it gets all crazy.”
“I think it’s cute.”
“Me, too.” He handed Logan his towel with a grin. “You remember the first time we saw it unstyled?”
“Ouais,” Logan laughed. “He was so embarrassed.”
“Adorable, I think.”
Logan hummed in agreement and Finn bit his lip fondly at the memory. It was just after Logan had moved in and they had an away game. Leo normally didn’t wash his hair on the road so he didn’t have to bring his products with him, but after a particularly sweaty game and a dip in the hotel pool, he was wincing every time he looked in the mirror. It was safe to say his curls had dried into a gorgeous, golden mess. He’d been sheepish, but all Logan and Finn had wanted to do was tug each and every freshly-washed spiral. Since then, he had gotten less ashamed of just letting his hair go, but for fancy events, he still liked to have it shiny and defined and soft. Finn, for one, couldn’t say he hated it.
“Fish,” Logan said as he was flipping through their drawers for a pair of boxers, snapping Finn out of the memory. “I make breakfast for when Le gets back, you iron our shirts?”
Ironing his boyfriends’ shirts while one of them made breakfast shirtless, awaiting the other’s arrival. If only college Finn could see him now. He grinned broadly. “Sounds good, baby.”

“Okay. Okay, okay, cool, chicken is marinated, zucchini and squash are roasted, we’ll just have to heat those up under the broiler at your mom’s so it gets crispy. Her oven has two rows, yes?”
“Yes, sunshine.”
“Good, good. Because I’ll need to cook the chicken through, then set it to broil to get the skin crispy, and that’s when I’ll put the veggies in, too. Salad dressing is prepared, fresh veggies are prepped and in boxes, yes, Lo?”
“Ouais, mon amour.”
“Good, good. Oh! And the pie’s in the carrier, yes, sweetheart?”
“Yeah, baby, I put it in the fridge.”
“Awesome, we’ll have to remember the container of homemade whipped cream, remind me, please.” Leo turned away from the counter and clapped his hands. “Awesome.” He walked around to kiss their lips in bursts. “Thank you, thank you for helping, I love you.”
“Ouais, mon coeur,” Logan said, brushing his fingers over Leo’s hands that were cupping his face. “Love you, too.”
“How about a nap, baby?” Finn suggested. “We went to the gym super early, and you didn’t sleep well last night. We’ve got time.”
But Leo shook his head. “No, I’ve gotta go to the bakery and be back in time to do my hair.”
Finn sighed. “Baby, a half hour? Please? We’ll sleep with you, I’ll rub your back.”
Leo considered. “What time is it?”
“Just before noon, sunshine. You’ll still have time to go to the bakery.” At Leo’s skeptical look, Finn put on his best puppy eyes and pout. “Please?”
Leo looked at him and took a deep breath. “Fine.”
“Le.”
“Sorry, sorry, honey.” He reached for Finn’s hand to draw him closer and pressed their foreheads together. “I’m sorry, Finn.”
Finn just kissed his cheek and took his hands. “Don’t be, baby, just come rest with us.”
He and Logan ushered Leo into their bedroom and under the covers. Logan crawled up Leo’s body to hover over him. “You want to be in the middle, soleil?”
Leo shook his head. “No, thanks. Too hot.”
“D’accord.” Logan pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. He reached across Leo’s chest for his phone on the night stand. “I’ll set a timer. Thirty minutes, ouais?”
Finn kissed his shoulder. “Yup. Thirty minutes, then we’ll go to the bakery.”
“No, no, it’s okay I can go-”
“Sunshine,” Finn laughed. “We’ve got nothing else to do, and we like going to the bakery with you. You’re all picky about the bread you choose, it’s cute.”
He heard Leo let out a breath. “Okay.” A pause. “I like going to the bakery with you, too.”
“Mm,” Logan hummed. He shifted in Finn’s arms to tuck Leo under his chin. Their legs were all tangled under the sheets. “Sleep, mon chou. We’ll see you in a half hour.”
***
Finn woke up feeling as though he’d slept a century. Logan was warm against his chest., and he’d rolled over to tuck his nose under Finn’s neck. Finn stretched his toes and arched his back. Logan, perhaps sensing his movements, let out a deep breath and blinked up slowly. “Salut.”
“Hi.” Finn arched his back and breathed out when it cracked. “Good nap?”
“Mm.”
“Good.” He lifted shook the blankets away too look at his watch, then jerked. “Shit. Shit, shit, shit.”
“Quoi?”
“Shit, it’s almost two. Fuck.” He frantically looked beside him to wake Leo up, then realized that side of the bed was empty and cold. It was quiet, save for the spatter of rain that had apparently started up when they were sleeping. “Le’s not here.”
Logan, who’d sat up and away, stood to go poke his head out the door. “Soleil?” he called. When there was no answer, he walked to peek into the other rooms of their New York apartment. “Soleil?”
Finn flapped around for his phone, finding it buried under the blankets near his feet. In their group chat, there was a text from Leo from about forty-five minutes previous. Overslept. Ran to bakery, hopefully the good stuff isn’t gone.
Don’t worry if it isn't, sunshine, Finn wrote. We’ll figure something out.
He blinked the sleep out of his eyes before swinging to stand up and following Logan out the bedroom door. “Leo went to the bakery. He overslept.”
Logan bit his lip with a furrowed brow. “Oh.”
“Yeah.”
“He’s gonna arrive and be…”
“Yeah.” Finn opened his arms. “C’mere, ten.”
Logan sighed and pressed himself to Finn closely. “He doesn’t have to work so hard.”
“I know, baby, but he likes to cook. He was so happy in the kitchen this morning.” Finn carded Logan’s hair back to look him in the eye. “Le just wants it to be good.”
“Ouais. Je sais,” Logan whispered, resting his head back on Finn’s shoulder.
“Hm.” Finn kissed his forehead. “We can help him, though. All we have to do is load the cooler and change.”
“His hair.”
Finn winced. “Oh, yeah, shit, that’s gonna make him-”
But he was interrupted by keys scratching at the door and a soaked-through Leo tumbling through. He was clutching his waterproof backpack that Logan got him for Christmas closely. His rain jacket kept his torso dry, but water seemed to have dripped down his neck to his shirt neckline, and his pants and shoes were dripping onto the floor. The curls on his head were frizzy and fluffy, a little static. He was looking at them with wide eyes. “It just started pouring, but I’ve got the bread. And I bought some of those nice dips they have to go with it.” He kicked off his shoes and slid along their wooden floor to the counter. “Okay, we have to pack the cooler, and change, and-” Leo froze, hand going up to half-cover his mouth.
“Le?” Finn asked.
“Shit,” Leo said, softer, then more loudly, “Shit, shit, shit, my hair.” Before Logan or Finn could stop him, he was slipping once again towards the bathroom, catching himself on the doorframe to stumble in front of the mirror. He tugged at his curls roughly. “Oh my God, look, they’re a disaster! Oh fuck.”
“Leo,” Logan said carefully. “It’s okay, they’ll be fine, mon soleil.”
“No, because then tomorrow they’ll be tangled and they’ll just be worse until I wash them again. But I can’t wash them for a few days because it isn’t good for curly hair, and-” Leo let out a frustrated noise. “I can’t go to your mother’s looking like this, Finn, I just can’t do it.”
“Whoa,” Finn said. He walked into the bathroom and turned Leo by the shoulders to look more squarely at him and Logan. “First off, you always look good, so we don’t want to hear that sort of talk about the love of our lives, okay?” Leo looked like he wanted to retort, but instead bit the inside of his cheek. Finn brought his hands up to cup Leo’s neck. “And second, we know your curl routine baby, we’ve helped you do it a thousand times.”
“Ouais,” Logan said. He was taking a spray bottle and Leo’s products out from under the sink. “Sit, soleil, on the toilet. We’ll do your hair.”
Leo dutifully let Finn settle him down on the toilet seat, a furrow between his brows. Finn reached out to smooth it with his thumb. “Relax, Le, baby. We got you.”
Together, Finn and Logan started the routine they’d observed hundreds of times. Finn lifted Leo’s curls into sections as Logan wet them with a spray bottle. The thick strands became slippery when they added leave-in conditioner and curl cream, running through Finn’s fingers like gold silk.
“Ça va, soleil?” Logan asked, reaching for Leo’s styling brush.
“Ouais,” Leo replied softly. “Feels good.”
Finn smiled at Logan over Leo’s head. “Good.”
Finn helped to hold Leo’s hair in sections as Logan ran the brush gently through, curling it like Leo had taught him. Then, they began winding each individual curl around their fingers in little spirals. They talked with each other as they worked, and Leo, at first silent and tense, began to relax his shoulders and smile. The first laugh that broke through made Finn warm. By Logan’s soft look at Leo’s face, he felt the same way.
When they were finished, Logan stood in front of Leo with two containers and a questioning, but fond, look. “Mousse, gel, or both soleil?”
Leo tilted his head back and forth. “Both, please, to hold up against the rain. But light on the gel, please, or else it’ll be really weighed down.”
“D’accord.” Logan kissed his forehead and moved behind his body again. He scooped some gel into his hands then held them out to Finn. “Some water, please, rouge?”
“You got it.” Finn sprayed Logan’s hands, then watched as he rubbed them together and gently scrunched the gel into Leo’s locks. After a minute, Finn picked up the other bottle. “Mousse now?”
“Ouais, then we’ll scrunch it a bit.”
Leo let out a happy sound as Finn’s hands worked through his hair. “You’re both so cute for knowing my hair routine.”
“Of course we do, sunshine,” Finn said, tongue stuck through his teeth as he focused. Logan’s hands joined him in gently scrunching. “Gotta make sure our prince is perfect looking at all times.” They finished, and he leaned around to press wet kisses on Leo’s cheek. “Right?”
He could feel Leo smiling under his lips. “If you say so.”
“I do say so.” He kissed Leo’s jaw once more before straightening. “Now, what do we have to do to help get you ready?”
“Gotta pack the cooler. And diffuse my hair, because I don’t wanna go out with it wet.”
“I’ll go pack the cooler,” Logan said. He kissed Finn’s cheek, then Leo’s mouth while wiping his hands on a towel. “You’ll diffuse, rouge?”
“On it, babe.” Finn knelt to open the cabinet below the sink and pulled out Leo’s hair dryer and diffuser attachment, as well as his hair oil. He took the microfiber towel Logan had placed on the top of the toilet in his hand and straightened. “Ready, baby?”
“Uh-huh. You remember how to do it? Hover, then-”
“Then gently cup and dry it in sections, a little closer to the scalp. Don’t worry, babe, I got you. You just sit and look pretty, you’re very good at that.”
Leo shook his head fondly, and Finn smiled as he turned on the hair dryer. He squeezed out the initial wetness gently with the towel, then began to hover on medium heat, just like Leo had taught him. Leo was humming quietly to himself like he sometimes did when he was distracted. Finn didn’t think he realized he was doing it; it only happened when Leo was especially happy, so Finn just bit his lip to keep from laughing and making Leo sheepish. It had been a few minutes, so he switched the dryer to a high speed and brought it closer to Leo’s scalp.
“Let me know if I burn you, sunshine, okay?”
“Okay,” Leo said happily, then went back to humming. Finn shook his head fondly and cupped a curl cluster in his hands.
He loved this part. It was almost magical, watching as Leo’s curls turned from soaking wet and heavy to soft and fluffy, the blonde even brighter now after having spent so much time in the sun over the summer. The crunchiness of the mousse faded slightly as the hair dried, leaving behind smooth, defined ringlets. Finn wasn’t kidding when he said Leo was a prince.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, apart from Leo’s soft humming, Logan appeared in the doorway in khakis and a button-down T-shirt. His quad muscles were visible through the fabric, and Finn almost laughed at how abruptly Leo’s humming stopped when he caught sight of them. Logan noticed, too, and smiled delightedly as he came to stand between Leo’s legs and cup his jaw. “Almost done?”
“Yup,” Finn said. “Just finishing the last section. Grab the oil for me, Lo, baby? We can scrunch out the crunch.”
Leo snorted. “I can’t believe you.”
“I like the saying! It’s fun.” He shut off the hair dryer with a satisfied nod. “Alrighty, butter, just another minute.”
He and Logan squeeze some oil on their hands and set about scrunching out Leo’s curls. Finn could feel the crust from the gel and mousse fade away under his fingers, replaced by the soft curls he loved to caress, to lean his cheek on, to tug playfully. He did just that, gripping one ringlet between his pointer finger and thumb and pulling it gently, making Leo laugh.
“Okay,” Leo said, standing up and turning to face them. He bent down to give them each a kiss. “Thank you. I was really stressed.”
Finn snorted. “Yeah, you were, baby. Feel better?”
Leo nodded, running a hand through Finn’s hair. “Loads, thank you, sweetheart.” He caught a glimpse of himself in the bathroom mirror and a huge smile broke over his face. “Oh. Would you look at that.”
Even though they were both looking directly at him, Logan and Finn turned to face the mirror, too. Leo was smiling at himself in the reflection, reaching a hand up to touch the curls that were towards the front of his head. Finn liked the way he was looking at himself, like he finally saw how good he looked. Logan and Finn had seen him deflated as he critically examined himself before- the acne on his chin and jaw, the fat he gained when he bulked the last summer, the way his brow furrowed after said bulk when he didn’t fit into his game-day suit anymore. Finn felt the sudden urge to make Leo feel how truly beautiful he was, how much they both absolutely adored every part of him.
“Gorgeous,” Finn whispered, wrapping his arms around Leo’s waist and resting his chin on his shoulder. The three of them in the mirror, standing close together, made his heart stutter. He caught Leo’s eye. “Absolutely gorgeous.”
Leo’s smile turned sheepish. “Who?”
“Both of you.” He leaned across Leo’s body to smack at Logan’s thighs gently. “Seriosuly, who gave quads a right to look this good?”
Leo and Logan burst out laughing, Logan kissing the top of his head before pulling away to look up at Leo. “He’s right. You’re out of a fairytale.”
Leo grinned down at him. “Thanks, honey.” He kissed Logan briefly, then looked at himself in the mirror once more. “Okay. Wow, my hair looks really good, thank you.” He patted each of their hips before walking away. “Time to get dressed. Gotta get the car loaded.”
“Hey, wait,” Finn said, grabbing Leo’s hand and pulling him back to their bodies in one quick movement. Leo stumbled, but his smile was pleased. Finn placed firm kiss on his mouth. “We love you. We love you and your crazy, beautiful curls, okay? Even when they’re messy.”
“I know.” Leo’s eyes were twinkly and bright. “I love you, too.” He pressed his lips to Finn’s, then to Logan’s, hard and happy. The soft moment settled over them before Leo clapped his hands. “Okay. Okay, you both look stunning, my curls are fantastic, and I’ve got a dinner to cook. Let’s go.”
Logan and Finn hung back for a moment. Finn felt Logan come up behind him and place his hands on his waist. “We did good, rouge.”
“So good.” He leaned back to kissed Logan’s cheek. “C’mon. We got a Disney prince waiting for us.” He licked his lips. “How mad do you think he’ll be if I mess those lovely curls of his up later?”
Logan laughed. “I don’t think he’ll be too mad.” He tapped Finn’s hip. “Allez, let’s go. Soleil’s waiting.”
Finn just smiled, smitten, and tugged Logan out of the bathroom.

Leo shifted under the warmth of the blankets, stretching his legs as he drifted into consciousness. He felt a weight on his shoulder and smiled as Logan let out a sigh in his sleep. Leo scratched a hand through his hair, then brought it down to rest on the sun, the fleur-de-lis, and the fish on his hip. Logan’s skin, Leo had discovered, was always so soft and warm. He radiated heat like a furnace, and Leo and Finn had taken to reaching for him unconsciously in their sleep. He normally slept in the middle, a spot he had claimed three weeks ago their first night in bed together, but the night previous Leo had been particularly cold. Logan had rolled over Leo’s body with a groan and his pushed nose under Leo’s chin.
“Ici, soleil,” he had whispered. “We’ll keep you warm.”
And they did just that. The whole night, Leo slept blissfully with Finn up against his back and Logan tucked into him, safe and sound and happy, so happy. Leo didn’t think he’d ever felt happier.
A movement from beside him made him look over to his left. Finn was awake. He was on his side, facing Leo, with his hand tucked under his head. He blinked sleepily, his brown eyes reflecting the light, before he smiled. “Hi, sunshine.”
Leo smiled right back. “Hi.”
Finn let out a happy sound. When he spoke next, he sounded almost giddy. “Hi, hi, hi, good morning, baby.” He shifted to prop himself up on an elbow and hovered over Leo, reaching out a hand to cup Leo’s face. His sun, fleur-de-lis, and fish were visible on his stretched-out torso, so stark and beautiful against his pale skin. “You’re so gorgeous.”
Leo grinned into the kiss Finn gave him. It still didn’t feel real, kissing Finn and Logan. It had been a long time since Leo had kissed someone, been held by someone, made love to someone- although, if he was being honest, his previous relationship hadn’t been that loving at all. And coming to the NHL had left no room for dating or hookups, not that Leo would have wanted to, anyway. His heart had jolted the moment Finn first smiled at him and when Logan had first looked at him with those gorgeous green eyes of his.
Finn had moved one hand to cup Leo’s waist, sending goosebumps up his stomach and chest. Leo arched into the feeling with a soft sound and used his free hand to run his fingers through Finn’s hair. It was thick and silky, just as Leo had always imagined it to be, and Finn loved it when they tugged on it. Leo did so, gently, and Finn made a happy sound against his mouth before pulling away with a grin. He brushed their lips together. “I love you.”
Leo dug his heels into the back of Finn’s thighs and wrapped his free arm around Finn’s trim waist, rubbing a hand up and down his soul mark. “Love you.”
Finn’s eyes darted across Leo’s face for a moment. “I like your hair like this.”
Leo laughed softly. “You’ve said that every day since I got it cut.”
“Well, yeah.” Finn dipped his head just beside Logan’s to kiss behind Leo’s right ear, where the hair was now shorter. “Now everyone gets to see that you’re mine.”
“Finn,” Leo sighed. He laced his hand through Finn’s hair again. “Kiss me.”
Finn didn’t even argue. He just dragged his lips across Leo’s jaw and cheek until he reached his mouth, tongue brushing Leo’s lips languidly. Leo loved how Finn kissed, focused and completely giving himself over. He loved to watch Finn kiss Logan, too. Logan was so responsive and melted under their touch always, but Finn had a way of directing him, of directing them both, without missing a beat.
Leo lost track of time with how lovingly Finn was kissing him. Finn’s hands were all over his body: his chest, his hips, his jaw. Leo pressed into wherever they roamed, content to just give himself over completely. He slipped away a little, too caught up in the heady feeling, before he was brought back to reality when a pair of lips pressed over the marks behind his ear.
“Mm,” Leo mumbled against Finn’s mouth. “Lo.”
Finn pulled away with a last kiss, then immediately leaned over Leo’s body to kiss Logan. “‘Sup, baby?”
Leo felt the shaking movement of Logan’s body which meant he was laughing. “Salut, rouge.”
Finn left a few more exaggerated kisses on Logan’s face and neck before pulling back and hovering once more over Leo. He pushed Leo’s hair back from his face. “Sleep okay, sunshine?”
Leo nodded. “Mhm. Nice and warm.” He felt fingers brush along his stomach and finally turned to face Logan with a soft smile. “‘Morning, sweetheart.”
Logan’s sleepy green eyes filled his vision. “Soleil,” he sighed, leaning in to kiss Leo, a bit sloppy and luxurious. “Bon matin.”
Leo let out a satisfied breath and let his head fall back against the pillows once more. Logan had bullied his way onto Leo’s chest, forcing Finn to drop onto the mattress once more on Leo’s other side. Finn narrowed his eyes. “You’re hogging my sunshine.”
“Notre soleil.”
“You’re still hogging him!”
Logan just let out a huff, rolling his body even further on top of Leo’s, lying chest to chest with his nose in Leo’s neck. Leo let out a soft laugh. “You have no shame.”
“Non.” Logan kicked Finn in the shin. “Ici, rouge.”
Finn scoffed but complied. He threw his leg over both Leo and Logan’s bodies, one arm coming to rest on Logan’s back. “How is this, my liege?”
“C’est bien.” Logan lifted his head up a bit to look at Leo. He smiled with a happy noise and traced his thumb under Leo’s eye. “Tu es si beau, mon chou.”
Leo tilted his head to kiss Logan’s palm. He bit his lip mischievously, glancing at Finn briefly. “Look who’s talkin’.”
Logan laughed and Finn groaned at Leo’s poor attempt at his accent. “I do not sound like that.”
“No, you don’t, I’m sorry, honey,” Leo agreed, opening his free arm so Finn could rest his head on his shoulder. He shifted his head just enough to place a lingering kiss on Finn’s temple. “Better?”
“Much.”
Leo smiled and tucked his nose into Finn’s hair. He loved the weight of them in bed with him, a luxury he, at one point, thought would have to wait until he retired. But now there was this: Logan, practically moved into the apartment at this point, taking up a disproportionately large amount of space on his chest; Finn, always the one to be brave and smiling, letting his walls down and letting himself be held; a feeling, so warm and heady and lovely that Leo wanted to cup it gently in his hands and never let it go. He was ruined in the best way, weighted and safe under the sheets with his lovers.
Logan, it seemed, had begun to gain some more consciousness. He started wriggling around in the way he did when he was trying to get comfortable, moving their limbs around to hold him how he liked. He was demanding, there was no doubt about that, but Leo wouldn’t have traded him for anything in the world. Leo looked down fondly at him as he slipped his thigh between Leo’s own and moved Finn’s hand down to massage his lower back. He let out a satisfied sound as Finn’s fingers began to dig into the sore muscle. “Ouais.”
Finn let out a snort and kissed his cheek. “So bossy.”
Logan just smiled softly. He reached up to play with the edges of Leo’s hair. “I like your curls like this, mon soleil.”
Leo laughed. “Fish just said that, too.”
“Well it’s true,” Finn said. He pressed his nose into the side of Leo’s head and nuzzled his curls exaggeratedly. “You look like our very own Disney prince or something.”
Leo turned to look him in the eye. “And what does that make you and Lo?”
“Well, I’m your bard. Or your jester. Or both, you choose. And Lo here,” he said, moving his arm up to squeeze around Logan’s upper back. “He’s your knight.” He made a little growling sound and bit at Logan’s shoulder. “Imagine these muscles in armor, holy moly.”
Logan’s nose scrunched around his smile. He watched his own hand play with Leo’s hair. “I just think you’re beautiful.”
Leo tried to bite his lip against the blush, but it was no use. He leaned into the thumbs Logan brushed over his heated cheeks. “I love you.” He kissed Logan briefly, then settled back again onto the pillows. He looked between Finn and Logan, whose eyes were both watching him intently. “I think I want to keep my hair like this for a while.”
Logan and Finn smiled widely down at him. It made Leo’s breath catch and he could feel every place their warm skin touched his like they were trying to be melded together. When he’d cut his hair like he’d always wanted to- a bit shorter on the sides, still curly at the top- over a week ago, he’d been more than a little nervous. It meant that his mark would be revealed to the world, and anyone who saw would potentially wonder about its oddity, about why there were three shapes. Logan and Finn didn’t have to worry about that as much- theirs were covered by their clothes most of the day. And after they’d left them uncovered in the locker room, it didn’t take too long before there were careful questions and then excited congratulations from their teammates. But Leo’s was out in the open. It wasn’t necessarily an obvious place, but it was still visible with shorter hair.
Finn and Logan had let him talk it out with them for hours over takeout, the both of them snuggled in Leo’s sweatshirts from high school. It had made his heart jolt when he saw them for the first time in his clothes. It was as if it was a fever dream, and the feeling in Leo’s chest when he came into the living room to see them both, snuggled in his hoodies on the couch, smiling at each other, smiling at him- it was warm and weighty. And Leo felt, in that moment, that he was gone on them forever. So, when they asked him if he wanted to get his haircut, despite the hesitation, he didn’t really have to decide at all. Being with them, loving them, was liberating, and made all of the potentially hard things feel worth it. And it had certainly been worth it to see their grins and feel their lips on his skin when he’d come home from running errands with his curls cut and styled how he’d always dreamed.
Now, he felt Logan’s fingers caressing the skin behind his ear lovingly. Both Logan and Finn were mindless touchers. Sometimes, Leo didn’t even think they realized they were doing it. After not having to hide in the locker room anymore, Leo found there was frequently a hand on his back, fingers brushing his, a gentle scratch on his scalp. Finn was even a good multitasker, and always had a hand on them whenever he was talking, to them or anyone else, and he was in close proximity to at least one of them. Even now, in the peaceful silence that had fallen over their bedroom, Leo felt Finn’s fingers tracing the slant of his jaw, placing soundless kisses after he finished before starting up again near Leo’s ear. Leo let out a sigh and closed his eyes again briefly, content to just rest to the sound of their breathing and the feeling of their bodies.
“I really love you,” Leo whispered. “I really, really love you. I love your smiles, and your skin, and the weight of you in bed with me.”
“Oh, baby,” Finn said. He sounded a little choked up and giddy at the same time. “We really love you, too.”
“Ouais, mon soleil.” Logan settled himself back down onto Leo’s chest and let out a sigh. “Mm, c’est chaud ici.”
“Geez,” Finn said abruptly after a brief silence. He lifted himself on his forearm to look down at them and smiled as he caught Leo’s eye. “Geez, I’m so in love with you. You’re everything I’ve ever wanted.”
“Well,” Leo said sarcastically. “That’s high praise.”
Finn stuck out his tongue and poked Leo’s cheek playfully. “Stop trying to be silly when I’m trying to be romantic.”
“Honey, you walk the line between silly and romantic all the time!”
“Yes, but when I want to! And right now it’s just romance time.”
Leo rolled his eyes playfully. He cupped the back of Finn’s head and guided it to his shoulder once more. He felt Finn’s teeth scrape against the skin and tugged his thick red waves. “Hey, biting isn’t romantic.”
“It is when I bite. Or when Logan bites.”
Logan, who had been a dead weight against Leo’s chest, responded by lightly dipping his chin down and biting beside Leo’s nipple. “Mm, you’re sweet, soleil.”
Leo let out a snort. “You’re so weird. I love you.”
“Je t’aime.”
“Love you, love you, love you.” Finn accentuated his statement by pressing bursts of wet kisses to their cheeks, then licked Leo’s jaw. “Hm, you are sweet.”
“Oh my God.” Leo began to move in an attempt to sit up. “I’m getting new boyfriends.”
“No, no, baby come back,” Finn pleaded. Logan just let his weight go even further; Finn began to kiss Leo’s neck. “No, baby, I’m sorry, I love you, I love you, come back.”
Leo began to lay back down and looked at Finn’s puppy eyes with raised eyebrows. “Do you not want breakfast?”
Logan reached up to tug Leo’s hair. “Want you for breakfast.”
That made Leo warm all over, and he ran a palm up Logan’s back. “Fine, fine, I acquiesce.”
“Oo, fancy words,” Finn said. He wiggled his eyebrows. “You know how much intelligence turns me on.”
“I do,” Leo whispered. He cupped Finn’s cheek and watched as his eyes turned soft and fond. He didn’t have to say anything- he knew Finn knew how lucky they all were. Finn kissed his palm, and Logan kissed his chest, and Leo let out a deep sigh. He was so in love he was dizzy with it. The feeling felt too big for his chest. “I do. And I love you. I love you both more than anything.”
Heyyyy just out of curiosity how often do you post? Don’t feel rushed or pressured to answer this!! Love your blog!
Hi there!
I try and post every 3 to 5 days! I have loads of material, but I spread out posting for reasons I dicuss here. I posted twice today because I will be without signal for a few days in the mountains, so I will be MIA and enjoying the wilderness!
Please keep sending me prompts, because I love them!
these fics are so good! Can you do a Cubs panic attack hurt comfort fic? I feel like Leo is always the comforter, can we see his boys rally to care for him when he’s feeling super anxious 🙏🏼
Everyone has a bad day. Sometimes the clouds hide the sunshine. But it's okay, he's got two boyfriends who are always going to be there for him!
Please keep sending in prompts! <3

On my way up, Logan sent as the elevator doors closed behind him. He leant against his suitcase handle, watching as the numbers increased on the screen above the doors. Though it had only been a few weeks since Leo and Finn had come to New York for a game, it felt like months. Logan, for his part, was looking forward to a week with no hockey (with the exception of watching the All Stars) and with his boyfriends. He yawned, slightly tired from the early morning drive, but perked up when the elevator dinged and the doors opened.
As he stepped out, he heard a door open quickly from down the hall, and he looked up to find Finn jogging towards him. Leo was leaning against the doorframe to their apartment, arms crossed and with a soft smile on his face.
Logan barely had time to get his suitcase off the elevator before Finn was squeezing him around the waist and lifting him up with an excited laugh.
“Baby's home!” he said, far too loudly for the empty hallway, but he didn't seem to care.
Logan laughed in his ear as Finn spun him around. He could see Leo laughing, too, over Finn’s shoulder. “Salut, rouge.”
In one motion, Finn set him down and drew him in for hard, happy kisses. Logan almost couldn't keep up.
“Hi,” Finn said in between each press of their mouths. “Hi, hi, hi, I missed you.”
Logan kissed him lingering once more before pulling back. “Missed you.”
Finn turned him around to walk towards the door. He pressed against Logan's back, one hand on his waist and one dragging his suitcase. It was impractical and clumsy as they moved towards Leo, but Logan wasn't ready to be out of Finn’s arms quite yet.
When they arrived in the doorway, Leo was looking down amusedly at them. Logan admired the way his shoulder muscles showed through his T-shirt before stepping into his space.
“Hi, honey,” Leo said with a smile. “Welcome home.”
Logan just reached up to wrap his arms tightly around Leo's neck, Leo doing the same around Logan's waist. Leo smelled spicy, like he'd been cooking, and like their laundry detergent. Logan breathed it in before pulling back slightly to cup around the base of Leo's neck. “Bonjour, mon soleil.”
Finn pressed against Logan's back again as Leo leaned down to kiss him. Logan sighed against Leo's mouth. They kissed softly, languidly, until Leo cupped Logan's face in his palms to hold him there a moment. When they pulled apart, Leo bent down to tuck his nose in Logan's neck. “Missed you.”
There was a sizzling sound from the kitchen and Leo let Logan go. “Whoops, that'll be the meatballs.”
“Meatballs?” Logan asked, following Leo curiously over to the stove.
Leo nodded. “Got all your favorites on the menu this week. Spaghetti and meatballs, chicken wings, lamb stew, spicy burritos, chili. Some creme brulee- I finally got a tray with sides for a water bath. Homemade bread.” Leo paused, turning a few meatballs over to let them finish browning. “Oh, and your maman sent me her cassoulet recipe. Figured I'd sneak that in as well.”
Logan smiled against Leo's bicep. “Merci, soleil.” He looked up to gaze at Leo's side profile. “But you don't have to do all that if you don't want to. I don't want you to stress.”
“That's what I said!” Finn called from where he was putting Logan's suitcase in their bedroom.
Leo shook his head. “And I told you it's fine!” He dropped a kiss on Logan's head. “I know you don't eat as well in New York. I want you to feel at home.”
“I do feel at home,” Logan said. “You're here.”
Leo smiled happily down at him and leaned in for a kiss. “I love you.” He inspected his meatballs. “Now, go have a seat, sweetheart. I'll finish this up to let the sauce simmer for a few hours, then I'll make us some lunch.”
Logan sighed but complied, going over to take his rightful place sitting on the counter.
***
The BLTs for lunch the first day were good. So was the spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Logan didn't mind spending the whole day in the apartment, sitting at the counter in Finn’s arms to keep Leo company while he cooked. It felt so good just to be together again.
The following day had been a relaxing one as well. They'd gone for a morning run all together, then brought pastries back to go with the eggs and bacon Leo cooked. Leo had no sooner finished his plate than he was washing the dishes and getting out more ingredients to prepare food for the All Stars week. But it was okay- they sat on the couch together to watch the skills competition with piles of homemade wings, onion rings, and loaded fries.
It was the third day that Logan started to get worried. By the look Finn gave him as they stepped through the apartment door, hand in Logan's after coming back from the pharmacy, he did, too.
“Le?” Finn asked cautiously. “You okay?”
“Hm?” Leo looked up at them. He was stirring at the stove with one hand and measuring out some stock with the other. He paused to step away and pour what looked like brownie batter into a pan. “I'm okay.”
“Do you need help?” Logan asked.
Leo shook his head, distracted. “No, thank you. Go put on the All Star game, I'll join you in a minute.”
Logan and Finn looked at each other warily as they shrugged off their coats.
***
“Shit.”
Finn jerked his head up from his place on Logan's chest on the fourth day. They both peered over the back of the couch at Leo's back.
“Le,” Logan said. “Ça va?”
Leo waved his hand. “Nope, no, it's fine. I forgot to add in the garlic before sautéeing the rest of the veggies. Just gotta mince some.”
Finn flashed his eyes to Logan before standing and walking over to the counter. “I can do it, Le.”
But Leo's arm was furiously moving with his chopping. His words were rushed and a bit frantic. “No, no, sweetheart , it's okay, I-” He was interrupted by the timer on their stove going off. “Oo, that'll be the creme brulee.”
He grabbed a couple of oven mitts and opened the door, peering for a second.
“Le,” Finn said. “Are you sure-”
“Promise, sweetheart, I've got it.” Leo held the hot tray with one hand and stirred the pan on the stove with the other. “I just gotta make sure the garlic doesn't- ah!”
Finn took in a sharp breath. There was the sound of the tray clattering onto the counter, and then Leo was rushing towards the sink to run cold water over his arm where the boiling water from the water bath had burned him. Logan couldn't see his face, but his back muscles were tense.
Finn looked alarmed as he carefully approached Leo's side. He gently touched Leo’s arm. “Le…”
Leo was still for a moment. Logan couldn't even hear him breathing. Then, maybe it was Finn's presence, or maybe his soft voice, but Leo's shoulders hitched with his first sob.
“Oh, baby.” Finn reached to shut the faucet off and opened his arms. “Baby, c'mere.”
Leo turned into him, crying freely now. He cradled his arms against his stomach and fell against Finn. Logan didn't think he'd ever seen Leo cry like that, helpless and lost and completely boneless. And when he spoke, his words came out disjointed. His breathing was static and much too rapid for Logan's liking.
“I'm so sorry,” Leo sobbed. “It's just- he's never here. And- and I want to do something, and this is how I- I want him home, and now I've wasted our time-”
“Sh, sh, baby,” Finn whispered. He had a hand in Leo's hair and one tight around his heaving ribs, applying pressure. “I've got you, sunshine. Breathe, baby, breathe.”
Finn twisted his head slightly to rest it on Leo's shoulder, facing Logan. He wasn't crying, exactly, but he looked sad, heartbroken- even a little guilty, Logan thought. Guilty that he and Leo were bearing this sorrow in front of Logan. They talked about how much they missed each other, but sometimes Logan thought he would never know how truly deep their ache ran.
Logan stood and walked over cautiously to where Finn and Leo were standing by the stove. Leo had stopped crying so hard now, but his breathing was still shaky against Finn's shoulder. Logan leaned against the island opposite them. “Soleil?”
Leo pulled away with a sniffle and wiped his nose. “Hi, honey,” he said. He tried for a smile, but then his breathing caught and he put a hand over his eyes. “Fuck.”
Logan immediately took Leo in his arms, Finn moving to rub a hand up and down Leo's back. Leo wasn't crying, but his breathing was harsh against Logan’s neck.
“I'm sorry, Lo,” Leo whispered. “I'm so, so sorry.”
Logan turned his head to press his mouth to Leo's ear. “Sh, mon soleil. It's okay.”
“No, Lo, it's not, I've spent the whole time in the damn kitchen-”
“Leo,” Finn said, somehow firm and gentle in that way he always was. “We just want you to breathe for us, baby. Just for a minute.”
Leo nodded into Logan's neck, holding tightly around Logan's waist. He didn't seem to know how hard he was squeezing, but Logan didn't dare move. He squeezed just as tightly back.
After a few minutes, Leo's breathing calmed down enough that he started to get heavy in Logan's arms. Finn raised his eyebrows, and Logan nodded minutely. Finn leaned in to kiss Leo's neck. “Le?”
“Mm.”
“You wanna talk, baby?”
Leo just buried his nose further into Logan's neck and shook his head. “No.”
Logan turned his nose into Leo's curls. “Why not, mon soleil?” When Leo didn't answer and Logan felt a couple more tears fall onto his shoulder, he made a soft noise and kissed the side of Leo's head. “Mon coeur, don't cry. It's okay.”
Finn rested his forehead on Leo's shoulder. “Please tell us what's wrong, baby.”
Leo mumbled something, but it was unintelligible.
Logan scratched at Leo's scalp. “Quoi?”
Leo sighed. “I'm embarrassed.”
Finn and Logan looked at each other with sad eyes. Logan tugged once gently on Leo’s hair. “Regarde-moi, mon soleil.”
Leo took a deep breath and stepped back. His cheeks were blotchy and his blue eyes lined with red. Logan took his face in his hands, stood on his toes, and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. Finn had one arm wrapped around Leo's torso, palm rubbing up and down his stomach.
“I'm sorry,” Leo said. “I really wanted this week to be special for you.”
“It is, Le,” Logan replied gently. “Every day with you is special.”
Leo looked down at the floor. “I just wanted to make you feel at home.”
“You make me feel at home, mon coeur. You and rouge.” Logan rubbed his thumbs underneath Leo’s eyes. “You're so good to me, and you're so kind, and so thoughtful, and so beautiful. We have the rest of our lives to eat the delicious food you cook.”
“Yeah,” Finn said. “Le, we love when you cook for us, but that's not why we love you.”
“Ouais.” Logan leaned up to kiss Leo lightly. He took Leo’s hand in his to kiss just above the slightly burnt skin on his forearm. “I want to be with you, soleil. That's all I want.”
Leo pressed their foreheads together. “I'm still so sorry.”
“Non, don't be,” Logan said. “I love how sweet you are.” Logan smiled against Leo's cheek. “But maybe tonight we don't cook.”
Leo laughed tearily. “Yeah. Yeah, that sounds good. Thank you.”
“Tell you what, nutter butter,” Finn said, shifting to stand by their sides with his arms looped around Leo's waist. “I'll box up the veggies and the beef and we can make chili together tomorrow. You'll sit at the counter looking all pretty and tell Lo and I what to do.”
Leo looked mildly horrified. “Uh-”
“Don't worry your pretty little curls, it'll be fine.” Finn pressed a wet kiss to Leo's cheek and spoke with his nose nudging where his lips had been. “Tonight, however, I'm going to take you both out to that Turkish place, then we will come home and have dessert. The creme brulee looks great, all it needs is the sugar, and you know how much I love a blow torch.”
Leo couldn't help but smile, a little bashfully, and nod. “Okay. Okay, yeah, that sounds good.” He turned to look at Finn. “Thank you.”
Finn kissed him. “Any time, you know that, baby.” His expression got a little more serious. “And, Le, if you ever feel like that again, please tell us?”
“Ouais, we won't judge,” Logan said. He nuzzled his nose under Leo's jaw. “We just want you to be alright.”
“I promise,” Leo whispered into Logan's hair. They stood still for a minute, tucked together and close. “I promise.”
“All righty,” Finn said jovially. He pressed a smacking kiss to each of their cheeks. “You go get all nice and handsome for me, and I'll clean the kitchen, okay? Lo, can you take our sunshine to the shower, and then put some cream on that burn?”
Leo rolled his eyes playfully. “I can shower myself.”
Finn waggled his eyebrows. “But why would you do that when Logan Tremblay is so ready and willing to go with you?”
Leo looked down at Logan and smiled. “You have a good point.” He took Logan's hand and started towards the bathroom. “We'll be right back!”
Logan grinned, looking over his shoulder to find Finn watching them fondly. Love you, he mouthed. Logan mouthed it back and continued following Leo to the bathroom. He pushed forward and wrapped his arms around Leo's waist, causing them to stumble.
Leo caught them and covered Logan's hand with his own. “You okay, sweetheart?”
Logan nodded against Leo's back. “Je t'aime.”
Leo spun and kissed his forehead. “I love you, too. Now c'mon, we got a sexy redhead waiting for us.”
“I heard that!”
Logan laughed and let himself be dragged beneath the hot spray.
Can we get something for Leo’s birthday?🥹 I think it’s today but I can’t find where the exact date is
Of COURSE you can, friend! <3
This is just a quick little drabble. Sorry, I am going out of order again with the asks, and you all have been waiting SO patiently. I'll post another one tomorrow, if you folks want. I've got a pile just WAITING to be published, and a few prompts I need to finish- y'all have got me working overtime (it's okay, I love it, you all are so sweet, PLEASE keep on sending me more!).
Happy birthday, sunshine!

Leo awoke to soft kisses falling over his back like a waterfall. He sighed contentedly into his pillow and blinked. Bright green eyes met his own, and he closed his eyelids again briefly with a smile. “Lo.”
Logan's nose nudged his own. “Joyeux anniversaire, mon soleil.”
The kisses along Leo's back hadn't stopped, but now they reached up to the back of his neck. He could feel Finn's grin against his skin. “Happy birthday, baby.” He placed a wet kiss on Leo's cheek. “Your first birthday as a husband.”
Leo let out a happy sound as Finn continued kissing down his back and Logan reached up to scratch at his scalp. He grunted and lifted himself up onto his forearms, only to flop down on Logan and squish him into the mattress. Logan let out a laugh, but continued running his hand through Leo's hair. “Happy, mon amor?”
Leo nuzzled into where Logan's neck met his shoulder. “Just happy my birthday lines up with the All Star break. I get to wake up to both of you in my bed.” He yawned again and let himself go heavier against Logan's body. “Best gift ever.”
Finn paused his kisses that were trailing over Leo's ribs. “You deserve all the gifts.”
“Ouais,” Logan agreed. He gave Leo's curls a kiss. “Every last one.”
Leo wondered if Logan could feel how hot his cheeks were where their bare skin touched. “You're sweet. But,” he said, wiggling a little in Logan's arms. “I like this. This is good.”
He knew Finn and Logan were smiling at each other. Finn rubbed a hand up and down his back. “Yeah?”
Leo nodded. “Mhm.” He reached a hand back to feel for Finn's body and dragged him down to lay with them. “I just want this.”
Finn kissed his way from Leo's neck to his jaw. “We love you so much.”
“Ouais, so much. More than anything.”
Leo braced himself on Logan's chest to get a good look at the both of them. They were smiling softly at him and he leaned in to kiss them each. “I love you.” He scooted down to rest his head on Logan's chest. “My husbands.”
Finn sucked in a sharp breath. “You know what that word does to me, Leonardo.”
Leo smiled and bit beside Logan's nipple. “Come and get it, O'Hara.”
Leo and Logan laughed as Finn scrambled to tackle Leo back onto the bed and kiss him. They were a tangle of limbs and lips pressed into skin. Logan shifted to grasp Leo's jaw and bring him into his own firm kiss and Leo couldn't help the giggle that made its way up through his chest and out of his mouth.
Finn lifted his head up from where he had been working on leaving a mark just below Leo's jaw. His lips were red and his hair was still messy from sleep. “What's so funny?”
Leo shook his head. “Nothing, sweetheart,” he said, cupping Finn’s cheek and touching his and Logan's temples together. “I just love you very much.”
Finn softened. He looked between the two of them. “This feels like my birthday.”
Logan pressed a soundless kiss to Leo's neck, peeking out at Finn. “Do you love your life?”
Leo suddenly got a flashback to Logan's birthday, the first year they were dating. Sweaty skin, shaking bodies, a closeness like Leo had never known. He shivered at the memory.
It seemed Finn remembered, too, because a knowing smile spread its way across his face. “I really do.” He kissed Logan deeply, then Leo. When he pulled away his brown eyes were warm. “Happy birthday, nutter butter.”
Leo smiled at him and reached up to tug at his hair. “Come kiss me, O'Hara, I want my gift.”
When his husbands pressed him into the pillows, mouths insistent and smiles familiar, Leo sank back for a moment and basked in the warmth. This was the bliss he'd been dreaming about, he thought. He opened his eyes and saw green and brown, tan marble and freckled porcelain, twin, toothy grins being directed his way. He put a hand on each of their bodies and drew them closer.
Not a dream, he corrected himself. This bliss was better than anything he could ever imagine.
I have LOVED creating these fics for you, and I am so happy you have enjoyed them! Please find the master list below to go back and reread if you so choose. Please also keep sending in prompts- I LOVE receiving your ideas. <3
