Possessed Hunter - Blog Posts

Okok thinking about the Ghoul Hunter AU and wondering how would the TTT possession play out.

Hunter had been suppressing his hunger and instincts for months and now Belos is in control.

Does he get the same bloodlust as Hunter? Is he able to control it and does he even want to? Does he use Hunter's jaws made for ripping and tearing flesh do to just that to his friends?

Does Hunter have to explain afterwards that the mauling wasn't a side-effect of the possession, not Belos' doing, but an urge Hunter is actively trying to stop himself from acting on day after day?

By the time the possession happened, Hunter would be months without a full meal.

However this wouldn’t be the first time Hunter lashes out as his friends, that would be another time before :3. When the possession happens, the hexsquad would be aware of Hunters tendencies and bit of backstory but not the completed and ugly picture. Hunter censors himself a lot around them, never wanting to expose them to his violence and hating himself for any violence he commits against them or in front of them.

Anyways, when Belos possess him, he is overwhelmed with months worth of bloodlust and hunger. Belos felt hunger and lack of control due to his own past and curse but he was never prepared by overwhelming power of it in Hunter. So unlike canon where Belos has his focus on Titan blood, he’s overwhelmed by hunger and fights with the intent to eat.

It’s shocking, when he possesses Hunter at first with how much hunger and pain he feels as seen in the first image, he didn’t expect it and he can’t control it. So rather than mocking or in control, he’s reduced to a ravenous beast, snarling and salivating with Hunter oh so desperately trying to take back control.

These are also more like concept sketches because I do intend on having more drawings of this particular scene. Belos really thought possessing Hunter would be easy, bro forgot Hunter was used to starving and suppressing urges. :33

So what if while Hunter was off-screen in Hollow Mind, He had gotten infected by Belos’s goop but like it wasn’t enough to be noticeable and we saw the goop on his shoulder and through the door in Kings Tide, what if it joins up and that’s how he gets possessed?

"But Luz and her friends, they've shown me more kindness than you ever have!" Hunter gripped his staff tighter, Rascal's familiar form on the end a reminder of why he was doing this. Why he had to do this. "More than that, they've never stopped being kind to me, even when I deserved it!"

Belos took off his mask and opened his mouth to speak, but Hunter continued before he could get in those honeyed words to try and lure him back. "And that's why I'm done with you. I'm leaving, and I don't want to play any part in your Titan-damned plans!"

Belos' face softened, and Hunter involuntarily froze as he gently reached out and ever-so-lightly traced a finger of his clawed gauntlet down the side of Hunter's face. "Oh, but my dear boy, don't you see? You already have."

Then the ground lit up around the two, and power surged into Hunter.

It was incredible. It was like what he had felt inside of Rascal, but infinitely more powerful. It was overwhelming. He was drowning. He was falling through an infinite sea of power -- so much magic he couldn't even comprehend it and it was everywhere and he couldn't see anymore, he couldn't feel, couldn't thin--

It opened It's eyes. Took in a deep breath of acrid air for the first time in millennia. It was frail now. Mortal. An inconsequential speck compared to Its former form. But It was awake.

PLEASE! I NEED TO SEE THIS AS AN OFFICAL AU. I WILL MAKE IT IF I HAVE TO.

I really like the idea of the collector possessing Hunter because it would be utter hell for everyone BUT belos and the collector. The collector can parade about Hunters body and Darius would flip his shit. Can you imagine gus, willow, Luz, and amity seeing Hunter possesed??? The angst potential is immense.

Especially because it would be so very obviously NOT HUNTER. Like, the way the collector moves, animated and exaggerated all the time? Laughing and grinning a lot? It would just be so creepy on top of being upsetting because whatever the hell that is, it is NOT Hunter.
